Kahana Sunset is our go to place! This condo was perfect for our family, with all the amenities needed. The convenience of parking right outside your door is fantastic! This is our 4th time at Kahana Sunset and have stayed in multiple units, you can’t go wrong with any of them! We already booked for next year!

We have stayed in several short term rentals and this was by far the best. Well equipped and super comfortable. The host left all the items we needed and several we didn’t even know that we needed! The condo is updated, clean and well maintained. The beds are comfortable and ac works well! The property site Is beautiful. We loved the privacy and calmness at the beach and pool! We hope to stay again in the future!

This unit is beautiful and in a wonderful location. We booked this unit last minute and were happy to get it. Unfortunately we had some issues with wiring issues and many of the outlets in the unit did not work. Since we arrived on a Saturday we did not see an electrician until Monday. It took him 2 days to fix the issue. We still had a wonderful time with family who was renting another unit at Kahana Sunset. We also had issues with the tvs. Still enjoyed the property.

We had a wonderful week enjoying three generations of family (adults). We have been coming back to Kahana Sunset for 25 years now! We were so impressed when a local who lives in the neighborhood and was our guide on an outrigger trip, told us he would recommend to never go elsewhere, that Kahana Sunset was the perfect location. We had a fantastic Christmas vacation here and enjoyed the nicely appointed unit beautifully maintained property. The management was very helpful and responsive ex we asked for a few more dish towels, and they quickly dropped off a full bag of extras for our stay. The pool and surrounding shared facilities ex. The small semi-private beach is absolutely wonderful, sandy and gorgeous sunsets. The property is a bit old but we knew that going in and the parking is a bit tight. Overall tho amazing and would stay again!

Property was as described and beautifully landscaped. Was wonderful waking up to the sounds of the ocean off our patio. The water was a bit rough while were there so we were unable to swim in the ocean, but the hot tub and pool were available for our enjoyment.More attention to detail is needed for the cleaning of the property. The linens and bathrooms were clean, but the floors were tacky dirty throughout the condo. There was sticky candy under the second bedroom bed that had been there for some time and we ended up deep cleaning the grease (?bacon) from the stovetop.

Two couples stayed very comfortably and happily at this condo for four nights. The condo is thoughtfully furnished, with comfortable beds and well chosen amenities. There are two decks, which gave us options for enjoying the lovely grounds of the complex and the ocean views. There’s plenty of parking, and a nice range of local restaurants, shops and stores nearby that made the visit easy. Great rental! Highly recommended.

We had a great stay as a family of 5! The location was great- and the property was quiet given it was over Thanksgiving week. The property had almost everything we needed to make ourselves and home and we had plenty of room to spread out. The host was awesome and quick to respond with any questions we had!

We enjoyed staying up in Kahana which was a bit north of the main resorts in Kaanapali - the beach at the resort was not ideal for swimming or snorkeling, but we did see turtles there. The Kahana Sunset was easy access to Napili Bay and Kapalua Bay which were really nice beaches. The property grounds were very nice and the pool / grilling area were nice. The communication and check in/out process were both very good. The kitchen could provide a few more very basic amenities that I find common in VRBO listings and the cutlery and plates could use an update.

This property is perfect for a family of two adults and two young children. There is lots of space in the condo, the pool was great, the property was lovely and well maintained, and the staff who worked there were so friendly! ITrip was also super friendly and responsive to our emails. We had a minor issue with something in the kitchen that was resolved within two hours.
Everything in the condo was in good working order. Parts of the unit have been upgraded, but other parts were a bit run down. All the beds were very comfy. The unit was definitely clean upon arrival, but in our opinion could use a bit more of a deep clean of the carpeted areas, under the furniture, etc.
I also liked how the condo was very close to mulitple beaches, and enjoyed many of the stores up at the Napili Market, just a 2 min drive away.

The main living area was just as described and the kitchen was fully stocked for self-catering. I'm unsure if the scheduled pest control treatment (which we were given the option to forego) ever happened, but that was the only oddity. The AC in the back room was a little loud and the bedding could use some updating but everything else was wonderful and we'd stay there again.

Great condo, pictures exactly how the condo is in real life. 2 amazing decks and can see filtered views of ocean. You can hear the ocean 24/7. House has great cold a/c. Comes with nice ice chest on wheels, 6 beach chairs, umbrella, 2 boogie boards and 2 sets of snorkel equipment. Turtles in the cove. The condo development/grounds very well maintained including plenty of loungers tables chairs outside bathrooms by pool and bbq area is wonderful. Several public nice beaches close by. Grocery store, vegan restaurant and regular restaurant and great coffee house all within walking distance in same shopping center. We will stay here again. We stayed 10 days. Love it

We stayed in Kahana Sunset C7 for nine days in November 2024. There were my wife and I as well as my daughter and son-in-law. The unit had two bedrooms and two baths, perfect for our needs. There are two lanai’s with views of the ocean. The unit was well furnished and very clean. The beds were extremely comfortable. Only drawback is that both bedrooms are on the second floor so doing stairs is required. We loved our stay!

Our stay at Kahana Sunset was very enjoyable. My family has stayed their many times over the years. The unit was clean and well appointed. Some of the issues where the ice maker didn't work, there were only 3 spoons, and the screen door down stairs needs replaced. I called in a service request to unclog the master bath sink and fix the noisy AC unit down stairs. They came to unclog the sink the next morning. The wall mounted AC down stairs made this continuous loud 4 BUZZ sounds almost every hour, 24 hours a day. When I mentioned this to the service person, they didn't sound very encouraging that it would get fixed. When the person checked in with us the day before we left, we mentioned it again but we got push back. That said we didn't let those things bother us and we had a great time. The unit is as advertised and we would stay there again.

Kahana Sunset is in a wonderful location and the grounds are impeccable. This particular unit is in my opinion quite dated and need some overall maintenance to bring it up to a satisfactory condition. Screen doors are very old icemaker was broken. Air conditioner is dripping downstairs and making loud noises Pans are quite dated as is silverware carpet is extremely dirty fan in master bedroom does not work. Internet didn’t work all week so we use the unit that we also rented next-door. overall, in my opinion, I think a small amount of money and maintenance could improve this unit substantially.

We have been enjoying vacations at Kahana Sunset for over 30 years. It is a place with many happy memories. We came together this time trip to celebrate 2 milestone birthdays and the impending birth of a first grandchild/nephew. The 5 of us enjoy snorkeling and the condo is very convenient to the best snorkeling beaches on the island as well as many excellent restaurants. Our room was spacious enough to accommodate all of us comfortably, parking was convenient and we felt we were in the center of the best of Maui without being surrounded by hordes of other tourists. Turtle watching from our lanai was a highlight!
We had a minor issue with one of the faucets in the guest bathroom but it was resolved immediately.
We all agreed it was a perfect week and we will definitely be returning!

We have been to Kahana Sunset three times and were sneaking away for an inexpensive vacation just the two of us. We picked this condo despite the reviews thinking, “how bad could it be?” The location is amazing! It’s in the middle of the building so not many people walk by it getting to their unit. The bed was comfy and the bedroom was fairly clean. The ceiling fans were nice and an extra fan was provided in the bedroom, which helped the fact that there is no air conditioning.This unit is probably unrentable where we come from, though. It’s pretty dirty, not just old. The kitchen smells of mildew and rancid dirty dish water. The bathroom smelled of urine. Shelves were grimy in the kitchen and bathroom, the two exhaust fans were inoperable, the dishwasher was filled with dirty water. The list goes on and on. I will spend more money on a different unit next time.

Im not sure where to start. My husband, mother in law, myself and the kids had a WONDERFUL time here. The condo was PERFECT! Plenty of room for all of us. Close to shopping for food, gas, beach rentals what ever you may need. There was a few snorkeling sets already at the condo to use, beach towels & small ice chests. The beach was small and perfect for snorkeling or sunbathing. The pool was great to swim in when the ocean was a little rough. BBQing at sunset was gorgeous! Every morning we had fresh Mangoes from the beautiful mango trees out front and the gardeners would give us fresh papayas and bananas from the trees around the property. It was perfect! Very close driving distance to Napali beach and Kapalua beach. The BEST snorkeling areas I have EVER seen! Liz was wonderful to work with, she responded to all my questions very quickly and goes above and beyond to make your stay perfect. Thanks Liz. We cant wait to come back and stay here again

The property and location were amazing. We were thoroughly pleased with every aspect of our stay in Kahana Sunset B6. We especially liked the relaxing feel and amazing views. I highly recommend this location. I read reviews concerning the AC units being on a timer and did not experience that problem. We set them to the desired temperature and they stayed there the entire time, which added to the experience because we need it cold to sleep. Kids and Grandma loved it too.
