The condo was clean, well equipped, luxurious, and good value. The kitchen had everything needed to cook. The king bed was comfortable. We enjoyed having the beach chairs and umbrella, although the cooler is on its last legs. The location is great with a nice walk to many restaurants - its about a mile to Whalers Village. Quick walk to beach, and great snorkeling right off the beach or a short walk to Black Rock. We would stay here again

We stayed at this beautiful condo for 4 days while attending a wedding and couldn't be happier with it and the Maui Kaanapali Villas complex. The 180 degree view of the ocean from both rooms was fantastic and the Castaways restaurant was ideal for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We utilized the complementary trolley to travel to the Whalers Village for shopping and eating.
Dan was an outstanding host who was available if needed. We will definitely stay there again on our next trip to Maui!

My husband and I were so pleased with this condo. The unit was decorated very nicely and so well stocked with everything we needed. The kitchen had nice dishes, pots, pans, literally everything you would want for cooking a meal. The appliances were spotless. We appreciated having basic spices and condiments provided so we didn’t have to buy those things. The owners also have beach umbrellas and chairs for guests to use. Having a second full bathroom was a real plus. There was plenty of storage and closet space for our things. The bed was super comfortable with nice sheets and bedding. There was a lot of natural light which made the space bright and cheerful. Of course, the best thing was the gorgeous view of the beach and ocean!! What a pleasure it was to wake up to that view every morning.
The location was great as well. It was an easy drive from the airport with plenty of grocery stores available along the way and near the condo. A trolley was available to take us to Whaler’s Village where there were some high end shops and nice restaurants.
The owner, Dan, was very responsive to questions and even found us a place where we could play pickle ball! Thank you, Dan, for the sweet welcome gift and for all you did to make this a special vacation for us!!

We've been to Maui several times, and this was our favorite trip - the condo was perfect with beautiful views, all the amenities needed, a gorgeous beach, and a shuttle to take you to the Whaler's Village. We appreciated having beach chairs (in the unit) and towels provided by the complex. It was a relaxing vacation to celebrate our anniversary!

My wife and I loved staying at this unit at the MKV. It was amazing waking up to the ocean views. The kitchen was large and fully stocked, which was a great benefit. There were ample towels/amenities and the A/C worked very well. We will definitely book this unit again on our next trip to Maui.

We were very impressed with the property. Although we have been coming to Kaanapali for over 20 years we had not discovered the KMV property. We often came to Castaways for breakfast over the years but never paid much attention to the Villas.
The beach is amazing to look at and to walk along.
The music at Castaways was special. Just all around good vibe!!

The unit had everything we needed for a family of four and a 10 night stay on Maui. It was spacious, clean and quiet. Having two bathrooms was great and tons of closet storage. The unit is fully stocked with everything you need for the beach - beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, coolers. The property was well maintained, beautifully landscaped, had convenient parking and Castaways restaurant was consistently wonderful. Some reviews mention trouble with the attitude of the resort staff, but we did not experience that. We found everyone to be very friendly and helpful. The A/C in the living room did not cool easily but the bedroom cooled perfectly. The beach walk is really convenient and provides access to Black Rock Beach within 10-15 minutes depending on how fast you walk. The trolley to and from Whaler’s Village was fun and convenient as well.

Amazing stay in Kaanapali. Unit has incredible views and wonderful amenities. Very comfortable for a family. Beach is very close and calm, Sandy and great for kids. Pool is also great. Castaway Cafe is very good and convenient for on site dining as well. Would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

I have to say that the view from this unit was one of the best views in the resort. It is on the fifth floor so you get a view of the pool and property as well as the ocean. We were able to use the provided binoculars and view wales right from the living room window! This unit also included beach chairs and umbrellas as well as a cooler, all of this was much appreciated for days at the beach.

Our stay here was INCREDIBLE!!! We couldn't get over the 180 degree views! We sent pictures to our family and friends and EVERYONE wants to stay here! I woke up in the middle of the night one night, and the full moon over the ocean was so dreamy! My husband captured a picture of a full rainbow over the complex, it was beautiful! This condo is clean, spacious, so comfortable! Huge comfy bed, very roomy. Shower in master is awesome! Our hosts left us a pineaplle, chocolates and coffee and a Happy Birthday card! So welcoming! We were able to eat a couple times at the Castaway Cafe, great service, food, drinks and view! The boys played on the beach while we enjoyed Mai Tais the first evening. We walked to our luau (conviently next door!) The boys enjoyed the pool every evening. Jim and I had a couples' massage, INCREDIBLE as well! Can't say enough good things....Can't wait to return! We stayed 10 days in this beautiful unit. The views were breathtaking and the unit had everything we needed and more. The beach items (chairs, umbrella, boogie boards) were especially helpful. The property had a lovely pool, restaurant/bar, laundry, morning coffee and hot chocolate for the kids, and game room. Just check with the owner to see what work is being done on the building before you book your stay. It has been a joyful 10 days!

We had a fabulous time at this beautiful condo.Looks exactly as in the pics. It was well stocked with towels, beach accessories and everything you'd need for cooking. Open all the sliding doors at night and you get constant fresh air breezing through the place. Only downside was that it needs a deep cleaning. The floor was filthy, we just checked in, were unpacking and i took my little white socks off to discover they were now a dark dingy gray. I took wet paper towels and wiped different areas, completely dirty. The bedroom carpet is in dire need of a cleaning as well.The bathroom needs tweaked( loose shower handle, rust on the vent. Also, tiny little ants came out to play on the kitchen island anytime you prepare food in the kitchen.
The lack of cleaning could have been due to the fact that another party checked out just hours before we checked in. The owners really need to check on their condo more often to see if its being maintained by the cleaning staff properly.
other than that, the condo is gorgeous, with stellar views,& a great location. The main pool needs updated/repairs, but that's the responsibility of the resort.

Perfect location for a relaxing vacation! The condo is beautiful with everything you need. We loved the old Hawaiian feel of the resort - very peaceful and quiet! We walked the beaches and beach walk to other areas as well. The sunsets were stunning from our condo and beach! Castaways was wonderful right on the property. We loved every minute of it and will be back!

We had an amazing time in this apartment. It was a very large one bedroom with two baths and an incredible view of the ocean. We went to the pool every day, the beach, played tennis next door and walked up and down the ocean looking for great restaurants. What a fantastic time!

Everything about this property was as listed and it was great! Very well appointed and the pantry basics were a bonus. We've stayed at several units at MKV and this is right up there with the best. The property manager was very helpful and we would definately use them again. Mahalo!

We had wonderful time at MKV. The unit has incredible views for sunsets and whale watching. All the creature comforts are included for your stay, the bed and furniture are very comfortable. We never had a problem finding a spot on the beach and if you so desire they have cabanas and watersport rentals available.

There are condos people set up and furnish for rentals and then others which were homes with completely different furnishings and then rented out. This one is the latter. We had everything we needed and could have stayed another two weeks. Unit has high end furnishings and resort is very well maintained. The layout is master bedroom / bath and then a full shower / bathroom across from the kitchen which we loved and which I haven’t seen before in a one bedroom set up. One of the best condos we’ve rented anywhere. Look forward to coming back!

This is a great property if you desire to be away from the hustle of some of the other more well known resorts, which was ideal for my husband and I due to COVID. Condo is advertised and view was amazing! The restaurant at the resort was closed due to repairs but otherwise had a great time on the property.

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary at this location. We had visited Maui before, but this was by far the best experience that we have ever had. Dan and Christina were very accomodating, allowing us to change the dates of our stay because of Covid concerns. In addition, they allowed for us to gift the final week of our stay to our daughter and son and law, who have a special needs daughter and were deserving of some time away for themselves. Everything about this unit is exceptional. When you enter the unit, the view of the pool and ocean is like viewing a painting. The photos mirror exactly what to expect, and everything needed for the stay is provided. We made use of the boogie boards, cooler, and beach chairs. The pool was warm, and the whirlpool was a soothing relief after a long day of activity. Parking was easy, and check in was seamless. We stayed on eastern time for the most part, falling asleep between 7-8 PM Eastern time to the sound of the waves and adjacent luau. The property is quiet and relaxing. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Restaurants and most activities are close by. Sunsets were breathtaking. The memories we took away will last us a lifetime. Not only is Maui the best, this unit is also the best. Mahalo!!!

Overall everything was great. Great location for a first time stay in Maui. Easy access to all of the items we wanted to do in Maui. Great beach area. The condo was clean and very welcoming. Definitely as advertised. Nice welcome gifts were there as well - nice touch. The actual building was not kept up as much as I would anticipate but nothing terrible. I know the entire island is short staffed right now due to Covid so could be a part of it. Overall I would rescommend this condo.

I am writing this review on our last night in this wonderful condo. Everything was amazing and comfortable for our family of four. The condo is completely and beautifully remodeled. The view is amazing! Beds were comfy and we enjoyed the state of the art entertainment system for watching movies. All beach toys, snorkel, boogie board, chairs and kitchenware were provided so we were able to cook meals at the condo and did not need to eat out as much. The pool area is very nice and the beach right in front of the condo is great for swimming and boogie boarding. Nice snorkeling beach is just a few minutes walk to the right. I really hope to stay in this condo again on our next trip to Maui.

We have rented from VRBO owners in various areas of the country and have stayed at several hotels and condos in the Kaanapali area. This condo had an amazing view, was incredibly clean and well stocked. I think the complex has the perfect amount of Aloha and with great snorkeling within a 5 minute walk on the beach to the north you can't go wrong.
The owners were fabulous to work with and were attentive to any needs we had. I would definitely recommend staying here...I know we are already trying to figure out a return trip!

We have been to Maui a number of times and have stayed in this general area on several occasions. This has to be my favorite of the lot (including some of the fancy hotel resorts along the beach walk). The unit is on the fifth floor in a building that is set back a bit from the beach. You look out over the pool area an lawns and onto the beach and ocean. Both the bedroom and the living room have full ocean-facing views. The living room is spacious and well-furnished with an excellent entertainment system. Wi-Fi is open and fast. The kitchen is fully equipped. In short everything you need for a great vacation. The complex itself is very nice Very well maintained with a nice pool and lawns with chairs from which you can watch the sun set over the ocean. It feels slightly lower key (in a good way) and less crowded than the brand-name resorts which are an easy walk away along the lovely beach walkway that runs for miles along the ocean. The restaurant on the property is good and handy for that Mai Tai in your deck chair from which we saw whales frolicking in the ocean. We had a minor issue with noise from an adjacent unit (a mechanical issue) which the owners took care of promptly. Really hard to know what more you could want. We will definitely be back. (We stayed over Christmas in 2015).

We had such a great time in this condo! It was nice, clean and had a breathtaking view. The kitchen was fully stocked with cook wear and even had some spices and condiments. They left a sweet gift basket with treats and a yummy pineapple! Our favorite thing would have to be the view, we had two children on the trip so we were in the room quiet a bit. It was nice to be in the room and still feel like your in Hawaii. At night with the sliders open we were able to hear the waves crashing on the shore, which was a nice treat! With the very short walk to the beach and the cast away restaurant, we had everything we needed right there. Whalers village was about a 15-20 minute walk (with slow children). There was also a rental hut right in front of the beach for snorkel gear, paddle boards, kayaks, etc.

We just returned from 8 fabulous days of vacation. This condo is wonderful with two bathrooms, a great kitchen with everything working, comfortable furnishings - everything you need, including beach toys. Dan and his wife are very responsive and answered every question quickly. As mentioned in previous posts, there was a nice welcoming basket with wonderful local treats and the pineapple was a real hit! I would give it a five star rating with the exception of the A/C not being enough to keep up with the full afternoon western sun. I think this is somewhat out of the owners control, but my spouse and I found it just too warm and a bit difficult to sleep after the sun hit the Windows all day. If warm temps don't bother you, you should rent here - it is a great condo.
We especially like the property with a quiet laid back vibe, close proximity to the beach, a beautiful pool, the Castaway Cafe for any meal, and the best lawn on the island for a relaxing afternoon!

We had the pleasure of renting this condo from Aug 13-19.. This condo blew away our expectations. From the moment you open the door, the condo is tastefully decorated and provide you with everything you would need.. The owners were gracious enough to leave a personalized card welcoming us into there home with some treats as well... Fully upgraded condo.. Kitchen is fully stocked with every utensil you would need. My wife enjoyed waking up and having her cup of coffee from the seating area on the lanai. The mattress in the bedroom was quite comfortable and the kids very much liked the sofa bed for sleeping comfort.. Opening the sliding glass doors, perfect ocean view.. Another great thing is the proximity to everything.. Restaurant down stairs, Black Rock a 15 minute walk and a 15 minute drive to Front Street.. I highly recommend this condo and will be back again next year with the family.. The owners were very nice and gave suggestions on some things to do locally.. You can't beat this condo.. Great atmosphere, extremely upgraded accommodations and its on a end unit overlooking the pool and the ocean.. Hearing the ocean waves crashing at night while sleeping.. Priceless..
