My husband and I stayed here with my one year old daughter. The location is central to everything and the unit is very well equipped with kitchen supplies and beach supplies. Laundry in unit and a pull out couch. Also, a shower and half bath tub, so good for little ones baths! We would stay again! The owner was very responsive to phone calls and texts. Thank you!

My wife and our 15 month old had a fantastic time. The condo had everything that we needed and the view from the Lanai was perfect. It is in the shade most of the day which makes it great to sit outside and get out of the sun for an hour or two in the afternoon. The place stayed cool with the AC on as well. As others have said, it could use some updating for sure, but everything worked well and we would stay here again!

We had a great stay at Papakea yet again. This unit worked well for us. The lanai only gets a little morning sun so we could sit out and not get burned. The view over the pool area and out to sea were wonderful! You can't quite see the sunset from the unit, but it is a short walk out to the seawall for a wonderful view. The unit had everything you need, but things are starting to feel dated. It had a surprisingly comfortable hide-a-bed!

The ocean view from the lanai was fabulous -- exceeded expectations, and the grounds are lovely. Such a peaceful setting. Nice pool areas, cute mini golf course and wonderful lawn area that puts you right on the ocean for sunning, relaxation and sunset watching. Not really a beach to speak of directly in front, depending on tide, but walk 3 min to the left and you're on a beach. It was also a great location with convenient access to restaurants, beach areas, grocery stores, and a good base for road tripping to other parts of the island. Condo was well stocked with essentials plus extras, such as coolers, beach chairs, snorkeling fins, etc. I would definitely recommend to others.

The property and unit were exactly what we expected! The location is fabulous. There are a number of recreational activities to do while staying. The unit itself was exactly as described. We used the pullout couch as a bed and it worked great for our party of 4. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook. I will definitely use this place again when we return to Hawaii!

Location, grounds, and view were wonderful! The unit itself was very much in need of updating and deep cleaning! Bedroom fan had a thick layer of dust on it, batteries needed replacing in air conditioner remote, tv remote and wall clock and air conditioner filter needed cleaning. Dead lei was hanging off dining room lamp and doors and cabinets very dingy/dirty. Couch appeared soiled and we immediately covered it with a sheet. A deep cleaning and upgrade definitely recommended! Having said that, we enjoyed the view and location very much!

The ABC store is a one minute walk, very convenient. The view on the balcony is mostly blocked by the plumeria tree so that was disappointing. You can not walk out to a beach off the property and even down the path not much of a beach. We spent most of our time at another beach. It was very nice to have a lot of beach toys available in the unit. The property is very pretty with lots of mature trees.

The view from the condo is incredible! So many touches and items to make the stay more comfortable and more like home. Beach items were so appreciated with umbrella, chairs, etc. Loved this quiet community setting! The condo was close to Lahaina, a drive to Road to Hana and Haleakalā but this was a great place to stay!

The unit is very dated, compared to other units we saw in the complex, but still very clean with everything working...but oh, the view! But if the unit was updated to today's standards the rental price would have been undoubtedly more. So, we'll take dated and clean with everything working in the unit just fine with that view! My sister and I stayed in this condo for a week on our trip to Maui. Sitting out on the lanai for sunrise and being a short walk to the beach to watch the sunset and hang out in the water was amazing. The rental was well-stocked and comfortable, couldn't beat the location. We had rented a car which made it easy to go to Lahaina and explore more of the island. There's a grocery store really close to the place and we walked down to get coffee to a little beach park in the morning which was nice. Definitely recommend.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. The location was perfect and was close to many places for shopping/eating. We were not far from several of our, now, favorite beaches. The condo itself was very clean, the bed super comfortable, and the view was breathtaking! The hosts definitely put a lot of effort in making sure we were well equipped with beach going supplies and cleaning supplies for doing laundry and dishes. Will definitely be staying here again!

A well appointed property conveinently located to explore Maui. Lots of "toys" provided. (Golf clubs, snorkel gear, boogey boards). Everything you might reach for was provided in the kitchen. The resort itself is in a prime location. You are literally minutes away from world-class snorkeling beaches, restaurants, local shops and farmer markets.
The suite is spacious for a family of 4 (one private bedroom and one sofa pullout). You can walk to the beach right outside your unit. The unit has a full kitchen with glassware and cookware. Enjoy ocean views from your lanai. There are elevators for those who cannot climb stairs. There is adequate parking, resort activities and tennis courts.
The only downside was the dryer kept stopping on its own and some of the swimming gear was broken (snorkel clip and fin strap). Didn't ruin the stay though!

This unit has all the amenities to feel like home (well stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, several beach supplies, well decorated space) but with the added bonus of an incredible view of the ocean from the lani. The sofa sleeper was comfortable (according to our son). The property owners were very responsive in answering several of my questions. The property is well maintained, safe, and quiet. Parking is very close to the unit. We would definitely stay here again.

No true beach access! The pictures of the resort show sandy beach but it's a misleading trick to bring people in. Overall the resort is very clean and well organized with polite and nice stuff. Apartment needs some updating. Faucet in the kitchen is barely working, one of the range heating elements doesn't work. The newest item in this apartment is tv, the rest of it looks like it's original, I'm guessing 20-30 years old.

Comfortable and well maintained condo, had everything we needed. Beautiful views from the lanai, saw whales daily. Took our chairs and sat down by the ocean every morning and took in the beautiful views and the pounding sounds of the ocean! The pool was great , walked to the restaurant in the hotel next door and had breakfast and got groceries at the strip mall less than 5 mins away. Close to the center town of old Lahaina and the harbor which was about a 10 min drive away. Close to golfing and restaurants . Would recommend and would stay again. Thank you!

Condo pictures are exactly what the unit is like. A few things need to be updated. The washer and dryer is not efficient especially needing to dry towels, and the microwave is not convenient to use sitting on the counter. Papakea Resort is a well-kept ocean front property in Kaanapali with 2 large pool areas, many BBQs and 2 golf putting greens. Each unit is individually maintained so there is some variability in the units. The beach and ocean immediately in front of the property are beautiful - but it has a reef and is close to the beach wall so, is rarely used. Other distances: 5 minute walk to a swimmable beach, 10 minute walk to the full Kaanapali beach, 5 minute walk to the Food Trucks, 5 minute walk to Time - a large grocery store, 45 minute walk to Black Rock, 50 minute walk to Whalers Village.

This stay was perfect for my husband and I on our honeymoon! We loved the access to amenities like a pool and grill and the ocean views. The house was cozy during the rain and had everything we needed for our comfort. Would’ve given 5 stars except we were unable to use the streaming services during our stay, however the staff did help us figure out the TV channels after we called them. Also there is a resort fee for using the amenities added on during check-in just FYI. Overall, fantastic start to our trip!

This was our second trip to Maui. We were able to both relax and go on adventures without having to travel far. Love that there is a grocery store and ABC store in walking distance. Cruisin' Coffee is around the corner and also great.
We had rainbows right off the lanai every morning. I only wish the resort would open the pool earlier, but that is a resort rule and not a K-206 rule.

We particularly like that the lanai is in the shade (with amazing view), so that you can sit outside and read or play games. Won't work if you want to sun bathe on the lania, but the pool is just below for that. Wonderful visit and will definitely return.

Eric’s place is lovely and well stocked! I loved the view on the lanai every morning with coffee, and the sunsets can’t be beat. Just stunning. Grounds are well kept and fragrant. Furniture is comfortable and with cooking in most nights, I had everything I needed, including a few items left by previous visitors, like coffee filters and seasonings. The only negative was check in—they didn’t tell us that an actual vax card was required and both of us had to show them. Fortunately we added them to our bags last minute. I had a digital vax passport as required for HI, but front desk wouldn’t accept it and they were very matter of fact. Other than that, there’s everything you need nearby—supermarket and ABC stores a few minutes’ walking distance, and while no beach on property, also an easy walk to one nearby. I recommend a car, however, for seeing all the other amazing Maui beaches and sights!

The property was perfect! Exactly what we were looking for. Close to many restaurants and supermarkets. The pool was definitely a treat for my kids. The condo was clean and perfect for our small family. We mainly ate breakfast and ate out most days. The grills outside were very clean and well kept. This is a wonderful well stocked 1 bedroom condo. We took the bedroom and put the kids on the pull out couch and everyone was happy! The view is stunning and the location was the perfect place to explore West Maui. In the morning, coffee on the lenai, while watching the ocean and smelling pulmeria is the perfect way to start the day! In the evening my kids loved putting on the green and playing shuffle board, while we used the beachside BBQ to grill up dinner. Finally, at night the pool and spa are surrounded by tiki tourches and you can hear the waves breaking, making it a true Island paradise. The owner took the time to give us great suggestions too! We are very happy with our family's choice to stay here during our first visit to Maui!

The grounds of the condo are beautiful and the view from the lanai is better than the pictures show. We really enjoyed listening to the waves. There is also a nice beach just a 100 yards west of the condo. I saw a great big turtle there.

One of the things I love the most was the view, you can’t beat that. The complex was nicely kept beautiful landscaping and very welcoming. Family oriented. Amenities were great pool and grill so convenient and easy access. The apartment was clean, it is dated but the price point reflects it. However it was supplied nicely. It was a little small for us, family of 5 but we made it work and the owner was so accommodating and extremely responsive trying to make sure we were comfortable as best as possible. The air conditioning is placed in the living room area next to the couch that covers into a sofa bed. My husband and I slept there so the cold air blowing on your back can be uncomfortable but it didn’t bother me but it did a little bit to my husband. The bedroom doesn’t have air conditioning but has a fan and stand up fan, it wasn’t that bad. Our kids didn’t mind it, our three kids 12, 11 and 5 slept there, they managed. Bed was comfortable. The were boards, toys, snorkeling available for use. My favorite was the view and how close we were to many places, beach access is not direct from the complex but a short walk from there. The direct beach access from the complex is closed but it’s such a beautiful spot to watch the sunset or just relax! Overall I will stay at this property again. We had a great time at Papakea in this condo! It was nice and cozy and had everything we needed with the full kitchen and the bed was quite comfortable. We were very happy with the amazing view from the lanai! The grounds are very well kept, and the two pools and hot tubs are also very well maintained. It has plenty of parking near the unit, and is close to nearby restaurants and shopping, beaches and other outdoor activities.
Although there were only two of us, it was nice to have the bedroom as opposed to just a studio to keep things separate and organized. We highly recommend and will definitely return!

We stayed here for a week with 3 kids and it was a great location and very convenient. The best Maui area beaches are really close like Kaplalua and Napili Bay. There are great walking paths you can take from the condo and walk to Alii Kahekili beach which I think was the best for snorkeling!!! There is a grocery store, ABC store, fish market and boss frog swim and diving rental place to rent body boards snorkeling equipment and more..your also close to the town of Lahaina which is a really neat city with a lot of local shops and restaurants. The condo unit was very clean, quiet and having a pool and hot tub was great for the kids in the evenings.. Also having a full kitchen was nice so we could make some meals there and save time and money ..The sunsets are amazing and you can see it from the condo balcony. Parking is very convenient and is right in front of the condo,1 minute walk from the car to the condo !! Overall I would definitely recommend staying here!!!! You will spend less time driving to the best beaches and more time swimming and snorkeling..

We stayed here for our honeymoon and everything was perfect! The view was just amazing to wake up to every morning. We enjoyed eating out on the lanai listening to the waves. Eric and Leslie thought of everything by having so much available for us to use for different activities. There's snorkel gear, towels, golf clubs for the put put greens, and coolers to pack lunches in. Having the washer and dryer in the unit was an added bonus, we came back with hardly any laundry to do. You'll enjoy every minute if you decide to stay here.

The reception of the Papakea Resort had plenty of information reg. activities, attractions and restaurants. To book tours or a round of golf, it is best and most economical to do so online. The unit as usual is well equipped The Mai-tai party on Thursday's is a lot of fun, and time to socialize. Laying out at the Seawall, and swimming in the Ocean, and pool, but don't go in the water with your cell in your pocket. New phone when I got home. The Gazebo, Mama's Ribs, Bubba Gump's, Lelanies, great. Hopefully we will return

This property is everything we had dreamt and more! Our stay at Papakea was FANTASTIC! everything we dreamt, Beautifully furnished condo, excellent views off the Lanai and centrally located to many shops and activities,but still felt secluded. Nice little mexican catina across the street and good gelato shop too. The staff at the desk we're extremely helpfull and pleasant. Wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Maui. Make sure to visit Dollies Sports pub for cheap beer and hang with the locals.

We stayed in this same unit 2 years ago. It worked well for us so we came back. New owners since our last stay. Appreciated the removal of several fake plants. :) Great location! K building gets excellent air circulation between lanai and back bedroom so in 2 weeks we have not needed to run the air conditioner at all. Stays a very pleasant temp with the ocean breeze, although air conditioner is available if needed. Appreciated the two boards and snorkel set this time too. Unit was clean and as pictures suggest. Papakea also within walking distance to numerous restaurants, a grocery store, and a nail place to fix that pedi mid trip! ;) We will be back and glad we found you on vrbo. Great resort and condo! Loved it. It was perfect for our stay in Maui. Lots to do and see nearby. We had two other groups of friends who rented units at Papakea as well. We enjoyed the common areas which made it easy for everyone in our group to meet together in the gazebo to watch sunsets, have potlucks, drinks, or play board games. Nicely tended grounds and a clean well-equipped condo. Responsive owners. Would definitely stay again!

This is our 5th visit ,and this one is Fantastic ,location, view, comfort, Mai-Tai party on Thursday, putting, contest on Sunday. Entertained for 3 days, with Giant Turtles at the wall. What can we say about the Gazebo, for Pancakes. The best... Unit very well equipped, and furnished. Great owners, Thank you..... I have recommended K 206 to our friends. We plan on doing it again., Hope you enjoyed the photo's

Our family of 4 completely enjoyed our stay at Papakea. We were all cozy in a 1 bedroom even though my boys are older. The view from the nice big lanai was spectacular and the grounds are a tropical paradise. The grounds around the pool are a put put golf course. The pics really do not do the view justice. This unit is spotlessly clean. The 1 bedrooms are nice and big with all of the charm of 60's Polynesian. These owners have just owned this unit for over a year and have done a great job. They are in the process of some upgrades but it is still in very nice condition, we actually like the comfortable feel of the older hawaiian style with tall ceiling and doors. There is also alot within walking distance. We really enjoyed the little farmers market down the road. The condo is equipted with everything you could need. Eric and Leslie were a pleasure to deal with.

We spent a wonderful week in Maui and loved the condo. Eating meals on the balcony looking and listening to the ocean was sublime. We loved having a full kitchen and washer and dryer in the condo. The owners are very considerate and responsive. It was a great vacation!

We had an absolute wonderful experience from start to finish! The owners were VERY helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had. The condo was clean and the amenities were as described. The view from the deck (shown in the main photo) was stunning...perfect view of the putting green (which my kids loved), the pool, the ocean and the mountains in the background. Wonderful place to sit back and relax! A great condo, especially for families on a budget.

The photos don't do the unit justice.The view is breathtaking, the location superb - walking distance to a large supermarket and several restaurants. When we arrived the condo was sparkling clean and well equipped with boogie boards, a great kitchen, putters, even a cloth bag for grocery shopping! We seldom used the AC as the trades seem to gently blow in through the lanai and out through the bedroom windows.While Papakea has no real beach, it has access to Kaanapali Beach only a few feet away. The grounds are very well kept, and the staff was friendly and efficient. The tennis courts were great and had a friendly gang happy to let newcomers join in. We left Papakea and went to Kihei for a few days but soon wished we were back at K206!
We'll be back and will rent this unit if it's available.

This tastefully decorated, clean and well maintained condo is overlooking the pool area and ocean. Palm trees sway with cool gentle trade winds straight to the deck when you need it. Decorated with tropical paradise-feel and very comfortable place to stay. The bed is very comfortable, reminds me of beds at Hilton Hampton Inn. The kitchen is well equipped and you can grill at the poolside. Stores, eateries and coffee houses are within walking distance. My husband walked Kaanapali beach or through the neighborhood every morning. There is an elevator but we didn't use it. The management is very friendly. Don't miss the welcoming informative continental breakfast on the first day. We sighted a whale spouting offshore from this site. I would stay at this place again. So will others as they left good reviews in the guest book. A gem in the tropics in my estimation. Mahalo to the owners for a good vacation. Thanks for sharing.
