Had a horrible experience checking in to the unit as the code provided by the host did not work. Wasted 2 hours trying every possible combination codes, but nothing worked. Chatted with the host and she referred me to a company that can help me reset the code, which we successfully completed after 20 minutes on the phone with the locksmith. But, after an 8 hour flight with hungry kids and unable to get in the unit, I wouldn't recommend this property. Note that door code problem appears to be a common problem as there are other guests with the same horrible experience.

This condo has the perfect location. Just about 1 1/2 blocks from the beach in Waikiki. The property itself is well maintained. The condo had everything we needed in the kitchen and even has a couple of soft top surfboards. As with many Hawaii condos, it is due for an interior modernization. There was a bit of construction happening on the pool level and with the parking garage.

The condo we stayed in was decent. We didn't use the lanai because the slider was VERY difficult to open and close. The front door also has issues, you have to shut it just right to get it to latch. The complex itself was not consumer friendly. The pool shutdown a few days after we got there. We had 3 different condos with 5 kids that couldn't swim without going to the ocean. There was always at least 1, sometimes 2, elevators not working. The complex smelled like sewer due to construction going on. Our family has stayed at this complex several times, this last time will be the last.

Property was as described and pictured. It could use an update, however, that did not take away from the convenience of being one block from Waikiki. The parking pass was phenomenal to have. The ocean view was breathtaking! We would stay at this property again. The vacation on Oahu was amazing!

We have vacationed in Waikiki more than 20 times in the past 30 yrs so we are quite experienced with the overall area.
The Banyon has always been a property that we have had interest in primarily because the pool/recreation area is in the sun most of the day and it's overall location in Waikiki is very central to the beach, shopping and restaurants.
The pool is heated and has a great kids pool area with a 3' depth for them to play in. Additionally, the children's play area with ladders and slides is well used and deserved so.
Generally, the property is older and shows it's age of more than 30yrs however, having said that, it remains well maintained.
Note! There is a major remodel proposed for the entire pool deck/recreation/tanning area so know that once that work is underway it could potentially negatively impact your vacation.
The suite we stayed in was of average state of repair. It could have been cleaner than it was. Everything worked but the age of the suite was evident.
It was overall an enjoyable stay.
One of the biggest pluses is that for the most part on site vehicle parking is included in the suite rental costs. Comparitively, daily Waikiki parking fees start at $35.00 so parking that is included is of significant value.
I absolutely recommend the Banyon and as long as the suite's cleanliness is improved, I would also recommend the suite we stayed in.

This place needs TLC. The Bedroom tv didnt work even after purchasing new batteries for the remote, the patio chairs are very rusty, pullout sofa mattress is old and lumpy. The Sliding door needs strength to open and close,my son or husband had to do it. Doors on the closet kept falling off the tracks. We stayed for two weeks over xmas and the 4 of us were left 3rolls of toilet paper, 1 bar of soap to share between the sink and the shower and 3oz of dishsoap. Considering i was staying for 2 weeks at the most expensive time of year i felt i was being nickel and dimed. The elevators are painful to use and seemed one was always out of service. The day we checked out it took us 25 minutes to get down the elevator to the car at 10am. I cannot recommend this place.

I was horrified to experience that the door code given by Allison did not work. I made several attempts to contact Allison to no avail. Several communications with Koko Resort. Our group felt that we were scammed and lost our money. Finally, someone from Koko resorts called me back with several door codes to try. Finally, we got in. We even tried to look for another place to stay. It was not a good welcoming experience specially this is our first time to visit Hawaii! But after that, it was smooth sailing. The water supply was good, always had hot water for shower. Thanks for letting us stay in your place

This was a prime location to stay. Beach was minutes away, plenty of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The condo was just enough space for the 6 of us and it came with everything we needed including a blow dryer and curling iron. We rented a minivan that we could very easily drive through parking structure. Definitely recommend this spot!

Perfect place to stay. My 8 year old loved the pool and hot tub. My teenager loved the beach was a block away and next to downtown Waikiki and the view from the balcony. The beds we’re comfortable, love they have towel service and all the amenities. I appreciated the parking garage and security. The building has a nice litter market and cafe on the bottom floor. I would definitely stay here again.

All you need in terms of accommodation, location, ease of walkability to different beaches with a variety of surf or flat water, groceries, corner stores, restaurants, heated pool and hot tub in shade from about 5 and open until 9, bbq’s by the pool. We enjoyed the bountiful kitchen supplies, towels and bedding, snorkel gear, surf board, umbrellas, and beach chairs. We used the pool and sauna a few times, and appreciated the mini mart in the lobby for food supplies. The view of the city and the beach was a treat, especially when the rainbow showed up! Short walk to the beach, ABC stores and restaurants was a bonus.

Overall our stay was good. No issue on this stay with the elevators, the parkade was good, location was good. Couple of points to mention that can be addressed easily:
The floor of the condo was dirty when we arrived - our feet where black after walking on the floor in the first hour. The floor was not cleaned prior to our arrival. There was food stains on the floor.
We had to go and buy more toiler paper as we where left with 2 rolls for 2 weeks. We ended up buying a pack and left toilet paper behind for the next guest.
A little bottle of dish soap was provided . This isn't enough dish soap to wash dishes for a two week period.
The elevators in the Waikiki Banyan are very dirty as they are heavily used. One day we road in the elevator when the cleaning staff was cleaning the elevator and spraying cleaning product in the confined space with a elevator full of guests. I think it would be better to clean the elevators during the night so that more time and effort to put into this high traffic area.

I read the reviews before taking a chance on this rental. Read many unsatisfactory reviews about some of the units in Aston Waikiki, but everything about this condo was excellent! Communication with owner was timely. Place was clean and comfortable. Everything from kitchen utensils to laundry detergent to beach umbrellas and toys were provided. 2 blocks from beach. Tons of eateries within walking distance. Parking space came in handy. I was sorry to say good bye after 9 days. Will definitely rent again! Highly recommended!

This place was great for our family at convenient location close to beach, shops, restaurant, Diamond Head, etc.
I was a bit disappointed that although this place was ready for all kinds of cooking, there was no oil, condiments, spices, nothing to cook "with"... I wasn't going to buy all that so no cooking for us.
Maybe I'm too used to Airbnb that offers more. Other than not being able to cook simple meals, it was very nice stay. Thank you!

We had an amazing time in Oahu, and this condo was the perfect place to stay! It was a quick walk to the beach (1.5 blocks), had beautiful views, and was stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable time. It was very clean, and the free parking spot, balcony, pool, hot tub, etc. were all wonderful bonuses! Check-in/out were also super simple and didn't require a lot of tasks, which is so nice when you're on vacation. Definitely would stay here again!

This was our first stay on Oahu and we were so happy with this condo! The beach was only a block away and my 8 year old son couldn't get enough of the pool and hot tubs. The condo had everything we needed including a beach umbrella, beach chairs, and sand toys plus a well-stocked kitchen. The full kitchen was a major factor in picking a condo over a hotel and we made good use of it which really cut down on costs and gave us more healthy options than doing takeout for every meal. The free parking spot was an awesome perk too, and while we took advantage of having a car, we would have been fine without it too. We spent some time at the zoo and enjoyed local food trucks (our recommendations are Munchwagon and Five Star Poke.) The north end of Waikiki gets very ritzy and we were happy to be on the southern end which was still very nice but not so glitzy. If we head back to Oahu, I can't imagine staying anywhere else.

This was a great location at a great price. I loved that the condo had 2 beds, a great view of the ocean and mountain and free parking. We were in town for our son's ship commissioning so we were going to the Navy base often. We enjoyed walking to mass at St. Augustine, dinner down the street, the beach a few days and the pool and hot tub one night. We had problems with the cable and TV and Allison did what she could to get it fixed. Loved the amenities that she provided like beach chairs and towels. I would stay here again. And loved having a kitchen with toaster, coffee maker and stove for when we wanted to make breakfast and dinner. We did have problems with the building grills but they refunded our money.

The condo has an awesome view. We spent countless mornings drinking coffee and enjoying the view. The beach is a short walk and towels, chairs and umbrellas provided make it easy to enjoy.
The two sinks and separate shower/toilet made it livable for 5 women to share one bath.

Best part … it was close to restaurants off the main strip. We had some delicious meals within 1 mile walk. We could walk to Leonard’s Bakery! We also walked to the top of Diamond Head (3.5 miles each way / 7 total).

My family and I recently stayed in this condo for a week and had a great vacation! It's proximity to the beach (one block) is perfect, and was close to tons of restaurants and all that Waikiki has to offer. The condo was super clean and had everything you could think of. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were really comfortable, and it had lots of extras like beach chairs, beach towels, umbrellas, sand toys, small cooler. Property is in great location for the beach - one block away!! The Blix’s have thougjt of everything you could want from beach chairs/cooler/boogey boards/ down to coffee filters and saran wrap. The condo was very nice, cute living room with a fully outfitted kitchen. The beds were comfortable and there was an air mattress if you need an extra bed. The staff of the building is very helpful and are full of good tips on restaurants and local spots. The owners were very responsive to emails and sent out very detailed instructions with directions to the condo, where to park, and how to access the room. We will defintely use again next year.

Our family of 6 had an amazing time in Waikiki thanks to the very close walk to the beach, the views from the lanai where we enjoyed watching surfers, and all of the extras like boogie boards, surf boards, snorkel gear, comfy easy to carry beach chairs, etc. The kitchen is very well stocked to cook a variety of meals. The beds and furniture were very comfortable, as well as all of the amenities that Waikiki Banyon provides. We would definitely stay here again!

My wife and I stayed for two weeks. All was truly wonderful. The unit has a beautiful view of both the beach and the mountains, and a perfect view of sunset! The Lanai is cool during the day, with sun beginning about 3:30.
The Condo was well stocked when we arrived. Everything you need is there, right down to a night light in the bathroom! The bed was very comfortable, and the unit is just the right size. There are beach chairs, towels for the beach/pool, and all kinds of beach stuff.
If you like to walk and explore your city (as we do), the Waikiki Banyan is perfectly located. It is a block from Waikiki Beach, a 5 minute walk to the Honolulu Zoo and a 10 minute walk to the Aquarium. It is close to Kapi'olani Park, a wonderful place for concerts and other city activities. The Food Pantry is 3-4 blocks away, and is perfect for all of the goods you will need without having to go to Safeway, which we also walked to (only about 3/4 of a mile (AND, Leonard's is across the street!). In the other direction, the condo is a 2 minute walk to the Canal which runs through the city and is a wonderful place to walk.
Finally, Allison is a wonderful owner, always a text away to answer any questions you may have.
We could not be happier with our stay. Hope to be back next year.

Not at all what we thought we were getting. 1 bedroom was sliding doors to close off the bedroom. Beds were NOT Queen size and were very uncomfortable for 2 adults or 2 teenagers, therefore our teenagers had to sleep on the floor. Dinning for 4, there was only 3 bar stools. The carpets were filthy. There were only 2 towels even though our reservation was for 5. Getting extra towels from the rental office proved to be very difficult. The bathroom was very small and difficult with 5 people. Parking pass had expired and again dealing with the rental office was difficult. It took 3 days to get the internet to work.
However the owners were very apologetic, helpful and prompt with responses.

I loved the fact that the condo had both ocean and mountain view; my daughters would not leave "home" unless they receive their daily dose of rainbows!

Myself and 2 friends stayed 8 nights and our only complaint is we couldn't stay longer! We especially enjoyed having 2 queen beds in one room and the well stocked and roomy kitchen. We definitely appreciated the beach items in the closet. As travel didn't allow us our own they really came in handy. LOCATION!!!! This building is in the middle of anything you would want to see or do in Waikiki--and walkable!!! We did have/use a car--but only when absolutely could not walk--like going around the island!! So the parking space is a HUGE time and $$$ savings. The topper to it all is the lovely view from the lanai(terrace)--several valleys and the Hawaiian mountains and a perfect sunrise/sunset location!! What a way to start and finish each day.....We would definitely hope to find this unit available when we are lucky enough to return!!! Mahalo.....

Pictures don't do this place any justice. My friends and I stayed here along with my 1 year old son and we felt at home the moment we walked in. Everything was newly remodeled. It had everything you could imagine in a kitchen. Tupperware? Who stores tupperware for their guest? Allison does! We got to pack fresh fruits and snacks for the entire family. We had a little trouble getting into the condo on the first day but a simple phone call to Allison and her husband got the problem fixed within half an hour. Thanks again for the hospitality. Will definitely stay here in the future as well as recommend this place to our friends and family.

I took 4 kids and a girlfriend with me on this first Hawaiian trip. Very fortunate to have booked this wonderful condo which is just a block away from Waikiki Beach. Centrally located close to shopping and aquarium and zoo and restaurants. Nice ocean view from the lanai too! The condo is well equipped with supplies as well as beach chairs, boogie boards, sand toy etc which is an added bonus that we didn't expect. The boys absolutely loved it. Really make the trip very enjoyable.
Owners are easy to work with and prompt in reply. Will be looking forward to our next trip and will be back for sure. Mahalo!
