We recently stayed at this beach condo with our kids, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the stunning ocean views that took our breath away. The property is well maintained, with comfortable furnishings that made us feel right at home.
The location is unbeatable—just steps away from the beach, allowing us to enjoy morning walks along the shore and sunsets that were simply magical. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals, and we loved having our morning coffee on the deck while listening to the waves.
The property also offers plenty of amenities, including a sparkling 2 pools with jacuzzis, beach chairs, and even a barbecue grills, which we used for a fun family cookout. Our kids enjoyed boogie boards and sand toys. The hosts were incredibly responsive and made sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay.

End room that you can park right next to, so great for unpacking and packing up. Clean and had everything we needed, including things for the beach. We arrived a day early and they accommodated us with no issues. Very easy to work with. Great amenities and not super busy. Would definitely go back!

Terrific location and condo as described. Nice to have incidentals like beach chairs and boogie board available. Beautiful grounds with a very nice pool and huge spa (never crowded). The community area includes a bunch of brand new Weber grills and a covered ocean view dining area with 5-6 tables.
Unit is ground floor closest to parking lot. Convenient and we enjoyed coffee outside on the deck each day overlooking the green common area. Peak ocean view from the condo. Very short walk to beach and swimming (5 mins) along the ocean.

We enjoyed our stay. Kids loved the pool. Check in was ok. We got to the place befire 9p. Check in was closed, The check in gave us a key and had us come back to fully check in the next day. Room was clean. AC was a plus. Dishwasher had an odor when we opened it the first time. We did a rinse cycle to remove the smell. Place was close to food trucks. Overall, our family enjoyed the stay.

Loved our stay at D109 Papeka. The unit was great and well stocked. We appreciated the beach chairs, cooler, and even beach toys for the kids! Great host! Super fast with communication. This was a wonderful location for busy tourists. We wanted to take in as much of the island as we could. The location worked well for the major stops, of course a bit of a drive to some, but we enjoyed being able to come ‘home’ to the beach. The place itself was as listed, lots of nice ammentities to help our stay! Will be recommending Papakea to others!

This was our first time visiting Hawaii and staying in a condo as opposed to a hotel. This property had so many extras for our kids (life jackets, beach toys, chairs…) its in a nice location close to a few shops. The weather wasn’t great but having the pool was nice for the kids. Overall the place was very nice, clean, and we enjoyed our time. There were lots of activities to do (shuffleboard, swim, putt putt) but one of the downsides of the complex is there wasn’t much shade near the pool/ocean closest to the condo. It was nice that putt putt equipment, towels/beach gear, etc. we’re all available in the condo for us to use and that the unit itself was in a very good and centralized location!

We loved our stay at the Papakea. The resort is beautiful and quiet. I was a bit worried about being on the ground floor near the parking lot and having people walk by all the time, but even though we were there during spring break, it didn't feel busy at all. We had absolutely everything we needed for our stay, including beach toys and a life jacket for our two-year old, which was much appreciated. Everything was clean and we didn't have any critters join us inside. We loved sitting out on the patio for quiet breakfasts, enjoying the beautiful view. The unit stays out of the sun all day so we never found it got too warm, and if we did need a cool down the AC unit worked great. The kitchen was well-equipped. The only thing we didn't love was that the bedroom is at the back of the unit off of the parking lot and was very badly soundproofed, so anytime someone walked by we could hear every word they said. It didn't bother us too much as we are early risers. I would definitely stay here again!

This is a beautiful condo in an amazing complex. My child and I had such a great few days and we really enjoyed the comfortable bed, well stocked kitchen and ground level suite. Check in was super easy, the hosts are lovely and easy to connect with. We spent a lot of time indoors because of the storm that hit the Hawaiian islands, but the space is so lovely that we still had a great time! We’d book again without a doubt.

The home was perfect for us and walking distance to the Beach Club where a friend bartends and to Dukes Beach House which is one of our favorite restaurants on Maui. We rented Mopeds from 808Mopeds which is right in front of the complex and had a blast. We will definitely be back!

We had a great experience at Papakea! Friendly front desk, great accommodations and easy check-in/check out. The property is well maintained, the grounds are lovely, and sunsets by the seawall did not disappoint! Because there is a company managing the distribution of keys, security, ground and pool maintenance, etc., it feels much more like a hotel than just a one-off condo rental. Bonus points for so many staples provided by the owners (lawn chairs, sunscreen, hats, coolers)! We would definitely rent this unit again.

This was our first time using VRBO. Overall the quality was great. We would definitely book again. Here’s what we didn’t like: The pictures and the description were slightly misleading. You see a sliver of the ocean from the patio and the corner unit is right on the parking lot, but we didn’t have much noise so we didn’t mind. The booking description did say there was minimal soap for laundry, but when you arrive, you’re told there isn’t any, which was kind of annoying because the shops sell out of the smaller stuff so we had to go to different shops or you’re forced to buy a huge expensive pack. The sofa pull out is very noisy and not comfortable. It’s bearable though. The bedroom is comfortable but gets very stifling at night! The AC does not reach there and the oscillating fan didn’t work. We got in late each night so we didn’t mention it to the property manager. There was a bunch of beach supplies but most of it was still dirty or broken from its last use so we rented elsewhere. Onto the good stuff…The unit itself was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped, saving us heaps on eating out. We loved visiting with the colony cats and the concierge was a treasure! They even had a water filter pitcher which was above and beyond in our opinion. You really can’t beat this property for the price and amenities. We loved the food trucks nearby and we could have sat at the Seawall all day if we weren’t so busy snorkeling and exploring.

Our family just returned home from 12 days at the Papakea. This ground floor unit was perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults, a 10 year-old, and an 8 year-old). It had a lovely garden and slight ocean view, and super easy access to the pool and shuffleboard out on the lawn. It's also on the end nearest the parking lot, so getting groceries from the car to the unit was a piece of cake. The condo was stocked with beach chairs, towels, and boogie boards. There is even laundry in the unit, which was SO convenient!

Loved this corner ground level condo. It was perfect for my husband and (almost) 2 year old. Condo was clean and stocked with so much beach equipment, it was the best.
Had a small issue with the washer and dryer but the property manager and hosts were on top of it to get it fixed. Hope to stay here again in the future!

Our first time in Hawaii and we are so glad we chose Maui to celebrate our 8 year wedding anniversary and my 40th birthday. We split our week up between two places. First half of the week we stayed at a hotel near Whalers Village. Second half of the week we stayed at Jayne & Warrens condo. Jayne was very accommodating by allowing us to check in early, because the condo was ready. Very cute and clean. We enjoyed having our own kitchen. It had everything we needed. The grocery store was within walking distance. Bonus that the condo is ground level, and a short walk to both pools. The ocean is a short walk as well. It was nice having boogie boards, chairs, ice chests, and an umbrella. Although the property has a sea wall, you can access the beach by walking right next door. Along the sea wall there is grass and lounge chairs to relax and enjoy the view and ocean breeze. We really enjoyed our stay, and would love to visit again in the future! Mahalo!

This is a beautiful ground level condo! It was the perfect spot near so many cool places. The resort was peaceful and beautiful, and the condo had great amenities to use like flippers and boogie boards. My wife and I rented Scooters from 808 mopeds right next door and had an awesome time driving down the coast!
