Wow, what an incredible week. The location of this condo is absolute perfection. Close to the beach and pool, coffee on the lawn while whale watching every morning. It was perfect with our group of 4 adults and a child, we could all come and go from the condo easily and do the pool or ocean easily. All of the beds were comfy, even the pull out in the living room. The only bummer was that the dryer wasn’t working and no one ever came to service it so we weren’t able to do laundry, which was a big part of our decision to book this condo, but we made due. Want to start the week all over again.

What a treat it was to stay at this Kaanapali Shores condo. So many good things!!
1-location, just off the main Kaanapali drag so it didn’t get the same traffic yet was close enough to walk to restaurants, shops and grocery store.
2-location of unit. Cannot get closer to the pool and beach than this. Amazing to walk off the patio and be right there. Perfect spot to watch sunset from your bedroom!!
3-two amazing pools and pool towels! You can exchange them as often as you like for fresh ones and the procedure is really simple to do.
4-on site pool bar and restaurant with live music, happy hours.
5-free ukelele lesson on Tuesdays with Jason, craft show on Thursdays
6-three cute gift shops on property
7-comfortable accommodations with two
twins in one room perfect for families with kids
8-two boogie boards, some beach chairs, old snorkel stuff in closet (no cooler)
The only complaint I would say is that I came less prepared than usual for a VRBO unit. Usually there is plenty of soaps/shampoos/kitchen stuff like salt and oils. Only two loads of laundry detergent so bring some if you plan to pack light! This was pretty bare bones in that respect and lacked the homey atmosphere I usually see. But in no way would this detract me from renting again. I would just know what to bring with me!

Everything is exactly as described. This was the perfect unit for relaxing, swimming and going to the beach. No going up and down elevators and stairs. The beach and the pool are steps from your lanai. The condo had plenty of extras for the beach and the pool and the kitchen was very well stocked with everything you could need for cooking. If we ever go back, I would absolutely rent this unit again.

The condo was perfect for us (3 adults, 2 teens). The first floor location and the patio were convenient to the beach, pool, and to view poolside entertainment in the evening. The location was close to many excellent snorkeling spots which we did just about every morning. The beachside boardwalk was nice to stroll n the evening to view the sunsets. Overall, the whole experience was excellent. Would stay there again.

Amazing condo! This condo is steps away from the beach. Walk out the door and 20 feet to the beach! Also just a few steps to the pool and bar/restaurant! I can’t say enough about the amenities and convenience of this location. Also less than a block from restaurants outside the property! Easily accommodated our family of 4!

We have never been to Hawaii before and had lots to consider. Friend’s recommendations of this and other islands. Other locations in Maui.
When we found this location and this condo in particular we knew this was the place.
And we weren’t disappointed!
Short easy scenic drive from the airport. Basically drive right up to our door. Once in the condo we had everything we needed for cooking in our room to chairs and boards for the beach. The beach was 20 feet outside our window and the pool was 30 feet from our Lanai. We couldn’t have had a more perfect location. We slept with our windows open so we could hear the ocean when we went to sleep and when we woke up. It was awesome and relaxing.
We watched the sunset from our lanai/lawn, we had 4 whales out front of our bedroom windows, we snorkelled out front of our condo with sea turtles and fish.
We walked miles along the shoreline and In my opinion this was the absolute perfect location and best we have seen.
Communication with the condo owner was excellent, their responsiveness was excellent and their recommendations for food and the sites was excellent.
The food on Maui is awesome and never had one disappointing meal, all in all an awesome vacation with zero complaints and nothing but a desire to return.
Kaanapali is a great location.

Location is about as good as it gets. Pool was newly redone and beach is right out the door. Would highly recommend. Master mattress needs replaced and Checkin process was rough but I’m sure going to be corrected. But all things considered it was the best place we have stayed in Maui hands down and the includes some very nice hotels. The access to the beach makes this place very hard to beat.

We had a great time. Condo was great. Floors could have been a bit cleaner. But I’m nit-picking the small details and that is more to do with cleaning company!! It was a shame the pool in front of the condo was being refurbished but the ocean was right there so we didn’t bother too much about that. There’s also another great pool close by! Overall it was great and would recommend!

This is an outstanding choice for anyone looking for a home base on a trip to Maui. The unit is extremely clean with a beautiful view of the ocean, just steps from the beach and pool. It is conveniently located, close to a grocery store and restaurants. The owners have thought of every detail with beach chairs, pool and beach toys, face masks and snorkeling equipment. The kitchen and baths are also well equipped with all you need. Look no further! We highly recommend for groups of friends, couples or families.

We had a great stay— condo was clean and well stocked. (Only thing we found we needed was a sponge to hand wash dishes). We absolutely loved the location near the beach and pool. We had a lot of fun —celebrated a birthday here and loved watching the sunsets from the lanai.

The location simply can't be beat. The property overall was great with parking close to the unit. The unit was perfect for families spanning any age. There was easy access to the beach, pool and restaurant as well as the grocery store across the street. The chairs and beach toys were very helpful. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

My family (5 adults and an 11 year old) had such a wonderful time at Jim’s place. The location of the condo on the property truly could not be better. Coffee on the lanai every morning and watching the sunset each evening was magical. The unit was quiet, couldn’t hear any neighbors above us or next to us. The condo comes with beach chairs, boogie boards an umbrella, snorkeling gear for use during your stay, huge plus.
I would suggest having more bath towels and kitchen towels on hand. Since there were so few we found ourselves doing lots of towel laundry (thankfully there’s a washer and dryer!). And the pull out sofa bed could use a newer mattress.
The only hiccup in our stay was the water leak we experienced. The fire sprinkler in the kitchen started dripping. Constantly. I went to the front desk, I called Jim and the property management company. Since it was already late, 10:30 Hawaii time, no one was answering immediately. The maintenance team on site disassembled the sprinkler and found where it was leaking from. They rigged a gutter to bring the water out to stop it from pooling up in the soffit. We had the water dripping into a Rubbermaid tub meant for sand toys which we had to dump a few times in the night. The next day a plumber came and fixed it right up while we were out. While it certainly put a damper on our night it was fixed quickly. I was in communication with Jim throughout the entire process.
Even with the water leak we had a wonderful stay and we would definitely return again, hopefully without a leaky sprinkler ;)

Don't think twice -- just book this if it's available.
It's directly in front of the beach. Literally includes all amenities you could ask for (including the resort accommodations).
At a great location with close proximity to all the nearby beaches.
My family and I had an excellent time during our stay and we will 100% return to this exact listing when we visit in the future.

What an amazing property! I could actually hear the waves at night even with the window closed! Located just feet from the ocean and one of the two pools. Being on the first floor there was more foot traffic and people actually set up chairs right outside the bedroom window at sunset (not the fault of the property, but just rude people), but overall not too bothersome. Convenient to all Maui sites and the guidebooks in the condo were a great help! Plenty of close parking and kitchen was well stocked with anything needed for cooking. I would definitely stay here again!

Location, location!!! We love the smaller vibe vs a large resort. This condo is ground level right next to the ocean. The beach out front is a little rocky but good for snorkeling and my kids still swam and had a great time. 10min drive to Black Rock for snorkeling and pristine sand beach. There are two pools and one more suited for kids which has great family vibe. . Close to everything you need. Beds comfortable. Loved the beach toys, snorkeling equipment and extra sunblock available.

This condo had the perfect location for our family. We had a 6 yo, 15 yo and 4 adults. Kids were able to just walk out the lanai to play in the sand or the pool and it made for easy access when going to the beach and carrying all the chairs and toys down. It was so nice to have so many amenities easily accessible in the condo, such as pans, oven, stove top, etc. and having the grocery store right across the street was awesome!! Saved us a lot of money on going out to dinner. BUT, when we did want to go out, there were many options within walking distance! We only had one tiny issue when arriving, but it was no big deal. The pictures made the bedrooms look bigger than they actually were so we thought we could fit an air mattress in for one of the kids to avoid having them sleep in the living room. But it all worked out and we had an amazing time and would definitely stay at this place again when we return to Maui!

My family could not have been happier with this condo, everyone kept thanking me for doing such a great job on finding the perfect place. Pictures do not do it justice. It is exactly as described in other reviews as far as the location of the condo and then of course the fact that the condo is in THE perfect spot and once we arrived we were all blown away by exactly that. From you patio you can walk right down to the beautiful beach or take 10 steps the pool/hot tub/ bar area. The sunsets every night were gorgeous and we saw whales from everyday. I loved falling asleep every night to the sound of the waves. There is a grocery store right across the street, downtown Lahaina with all of the cute shops and restaurants are only 10 minutes away. Also within a short distance are the other beaches like black rock beach and great hiking options like the nakalele blowhole. The place had everything we possibly needed in the kitchens, bathrooms, and for the beach. I am so grateful we had the opportunity to stay in this beautiful condo and if I’m lucky enough to make it back to Maui we will absolutely stay here again. I did months of research before booking a place to stay…I’ll save you some time…this place is it!!

We have stayed at Kaanapali Shores 2 previous times and this was by far the best unit. We loved the ocean breeze and listening to the waves. The unit was well stocked and had everything we needed. Lots of beach toys and chairs. Floaters for the kids. The kitchen was well stocked. We will stay here again. Thanks Jim and Linda for a great stay.

Great restaurants and even a supermarket within walking distance. First time visitors to Maui but we wjkk definitely be coming back and staying here on a regular basis.

We were a group of 5 friends and absolutely loved our stay here. Cannot beat the location! Right on the beach and by the pool. Coffee and groceries within walking distance (though the road is a little busy). Convenient drive to downtown Lahaina. The condo itself has almost anything you could need in terms of beach equipment and kitchen basics. We’d love to come back here!

There is nothing more to say about this location and condo! Absolutely amazing! Jim and Linda were amazing at answering all our questions before and during our vacation! The location is perfect for everything at the resort and to Lahaina. Everything you needed for the beach was there and ready to use! So nice to have a pack and play for our little one and not have to the hall this for the long trip. Overall, this place was wonderful!

The condo was the most well stocked that I’ve ever stayed in. From utensils to spices and beach gear. We’d definitely rent this same unit again!

What an amazing location. This has to be the best unit within the Ashton Kanapali Shores or any other resorts for that matter. We were two families with 3 small kids (2 and under) and hence worked out great. The kids had ample space right outside the unit to play in the grass, with the birds and we did not have to plan ahead to be near water as we were right there. The two trees outside give a nice gateway view and it was a common spot for people to take pictures so it felt we were right at a viewpoint location! :) There is a combination of rocky shores and a small sand beach, but it was also a pretty good location to snorkel. The unit also comes with most kitchen amenities you'll ever need along with kids toys and water gears that came in handy for self snorkelling. Finally, the owners made it a very seamless experience before we arrived and we never had any issues to have to contact them during our stay.
Would definitely stay again if we come back. Highly recommend for folks with kids as well as for a more relaxed experience.

This unit was perfect location, steps from the beach and pool at the Aston Kanapali resort, accessibility and few one of the best units on the resort. Plenty of shopping walking distance for groceries and eating out. One restruant on location. The beach is soft sand, it has few rock but not many my kids and us went with no shoes, we did bring water shoes to safe, but not needed. The unit is well equipped and nicely updated I heard other there are not so nice so be careful use pictures. Overall very happy with our vacation and chosen this spot. Thank you Jim, Mahalo!

Perfect! As they say in real estate...Location, Location, Location! What a great spot; two pools, steps from the ocean (like 15 steps..really), ocean view restaurant within 30 paces, grocery across the street, bbq's around the corner, pickleball court (with paddles and balls at the front desk), the list goes on and on. The condo was perfect for us; a balance of upscale enough to relax but everyday enough to not have to worry about using the furniture. The place has a surprising supply of beach gear; masks, snorkels, fins, sandcastle gear, beach chairs, an umbrella, boogie boards, the works. Countless times we found ourselves saying next time we come let's.... I sincerely hope to make return trips to this little corner (unit) of paradise. Till then...

The condo itself was beautiful in every way. The location just steps away from the pool and the beach was incredible. My only displeasure was with the bed in the Master bedroom. It really needs replacing. There are huge dips on either side of the bed. I had to angle myself sideways to be comfortable. Also the sink in master bath was very clogged. Other than those two things I loved being there. The sunsets were spectacular and the area was pretty quiet for the location.

We spent six nights at this unit in May 2017 and absolutely loved it. There is not a better located unit on the property in my opinion. 30 feet to both the pool and the ocean. Maybe the best part is the large grass right off the lanai. With three little girls, having that space to run around was huge. If we were stuck with a place on a balcony it would have been much more difficult. Here we were able to just relax at the outside table while the kids ran around.
Inside is nice and functional. The bedrooms were great. The kids loved having their own TV (with Netflix) in their own room.
The grocery store is across the street (5 minute walk or 30 second drive) so we were easily able to run out. Over the course of 7 days, we ate out only 3 times of the 21 meals.
The only thing someone could complain about is that there isn't a ton of privacy as the grass area is communal property and the boardwalk is right there. But you get used to it and we actually liked talking to friendly people who stopped to chat. Then at night we simply closed the drapes and it was perfect.
Overall, I would highly recommend especially if you have kids.

We stayed at this beautiful unit with our family of six, including our four kids ranging from 4-9. They had all the beach toys, chairs, boogie boards provided. The kitchen was well equipped and the entire space was clean and very comfortable. The pool in the complex is super fun! But most of all, we were blown away with the stunning view of the ocean. The kids played out front and had picnics every night while we enjoyed the gorgeous sunset. We would definitely rent this space again and most definitely recommend it to all that come to Kaanapali!!!

First time in Maui and we could not have been happier with our condo choice. Being on the first floor is great. Just walk off the lanai and you are steps from a pool and beach. You cannot hear the pool activities while in the condo, only the sound of waves crashing on the beach. There are two pools, the one that is smaller and less crowded is close to the condo. We found ourself spending our time here, most of the kids use the other pool. The bar and restaurant offer great drinks, food and service.
The complex is nicely located in an area not to far from the main attractions, but just far enough to offer a less crowded feel. Jim the owner was extremely nice to rent from. We are looking forward to renting with Jim in the future.

Amazinggggg! 6 of us enjoyed this property so much! It was like front row ocean seats. We felt like we had our own grassy yard and just a few steps to the beach. Gorgeous! Jim was wonderful to work with. We will come back and stay here again!!

We stayed in the condo for a week and it was perfect for 3 adults and twin infants 4.5 months old. You are literally steps from the ocean and the pool. A quick walk down the road and there are lots of restaurants to eat in or take out. Everything was ready for us in the condo and Jim made it absolutely easy to rent. You have all the amenities needed for hitting the beach. My husband was able to boogie board right outside the condo and we went snorkeling too. At night, the crashing of the waves is pretty loud but it turned out to be great for our babies cause we didn't need to turn on their sound machine to soothe them to sleep! I would highly recommend this place to friends and family.

If this condo is available, don't miss your opportunity to stay in the best condo in the Kaanpali area. We stayed here for 10 days, and would have loved to stay for another 10 days! We had all the comforts of home in this newly remodeled condo. The decision when walking out the large sliding glass door towards the ocean is difficult, do I make the 50 steps to the pool or the 50 steps to the beach! The location of this unit is unmatched of all the resorts we have seen and stayed at. The view of the sunsets is fabulous and you can watch it while having a glass of wine on your own lanai. The resort amenities are excellent and shopping is within walking distance. We know where we will stay on our next Maui vacation! Go and have fun in the sun!
