We loved the condo. Plenty of space for our family (3 of us). The porch with a gorgeous ocean view was the highlight. It was only a few minutes' drive to Kihei 's restaurants and many food truck parks. From this location, it was easy to visit Wailea, West Maui, and the road to Hana. The condo also had great beach chairs and umbrellas.

Our stay in Jim's property was perfect. The property was clean and well-appointed. We didn't spend a ton of time there, but the time we did spend there was thoroughly enjoyable. Morning coffee and dinner on the lanai provided breathtaking views. The bedding was comfortable. The hosts also provided beach gear. There were enough chairs and umbrellas for our group and a cooler that allowed us to pack lunch and some beverages for our beach days. We enjoyed strolling the beach in the morning (head north) to see turtles resting on the beach. The property is centrally located in Kihei providing easy access to all beaches, Wailea, food trucks (amazing food), and restaurants in the area. The pool and hot tub provided a nice way to wind down at the end of the day after exploring what Maui has to offer. We would definitely stay here again next time we come to Maui.

We had a truly lovely time in this condo. The location was central to everything in Kihei and all we wanted to do. We really appreciated how well-stocked it was - from bathroom amenities to beach towels to kitchen utensils and appliances. A bit random perhaps, but there is a super sharp butcher knife in the block -- which made food prep so much easier!

We were fortunate enough to spend 2 weeks at this condo. As described. Full complement of kitchen needs, which is often not the case in many VRBO. Plenty of dishes, cups, pots, pans, and decent knives. Wonderful view. I know others have been bothered by the pickleball courts in the park in front of the condo, but we didn't find to be a problem. It was only on certain days and only a 3 hours at a time. Close to everything and access to other areas of the island. Highly recommend.

My wife and I stayed for a month with our primary goal being golf. We completely enjoyed sampling many courses on the island. With pickle ball courts right out front, after watching from the deck, we gave that a try as well.The condo is spacious and well equipped and the vaulted ceilings allow air circulation along with the ceiling fans. We used the AC very little, have the sliding doors open while there. Jim was very responsive to any questions we had. We hope to come back next year.

Fantastic property! Very clean well stocked with whatever you might need. Rooms were a bit small but I would rather scoot around the bed than sleep in a small bed. The view was amazing and very quiet till 8am. The pickleball craze starts at 8 on the nose and goes all day. You will hear and see it no matter which building you stay in beach front so nothing against our particular condo. This condo is on the top floor so you can look over the courts but it takes away quiet time on the Lani.

This was an amazing condo. The location was perfect. We really enjoyed playing pickleball every morning and made some great friends on the court. We did not notice the pickleball noise at all. Loved the balcony and had are coffee there every morning. We walked the beach every day and found some cool shells. Restaurants were close by. Pool and jacuzzi were perfect. Wr snorkeled at Makena beach and saw tons of turtles. We will return.

This place was just amazing and the Lanai had to be our favorite spot. It was my husband, father, and me for the stay and so much room for all of us. Pretty much everything that we needed. FYI if you are a fan sleeper like me no need to pack yours, there is one in each bed room. Also not beach bag provided (not a big deal), so that you might want to pack. This location is pretty central to everything. The beach is just a short walk across the park in front of lanai (maybe like 200 yards if that). We met quite a few local residents that were just wonderful as well. All over top notch stay

This was a really fantastic unit with an unbelievable view of the ocean from the condo. It was fully stocked with everything we needed, it was so close to just about everything we needed in terms of groceries and restaurants. We were most appreciative of the host recommending, the Pacific Whale Foundation for our snorkeling excursion. We were only on Maui for two days as we planned visits to four of the islands during our visit, and if we are back in Maui, we will certainly look to stay at this condo again.

Pros: Stunning views from the balcony. Good swimming pool to get the vacation started. Really good living space, especially loved the duplex layout (was a lot of fun for our kid to run up/down the stairs). Location (Kihei) is away from the commercialized West Maui. Easy drive to some of the southern beaches (e.g. Wailea), which provide good hangout spots and eating choices.
Cons: The beach right in front of the property isn't great - so be ready for a drive to get to a good beach. Not a lot of eating options around the area. There's a bit of a climb up a couple of flights of stairs to get to the 3rd floor unit.

We felt welcomed and enjoyed every aspect of the property and the oceanfront view from the spacious balcony and floor-to-ceiling windows. One bedroom on the main level - ideal for someone challenged with stairs and the second upstairs primary bedroom - great for privacy. Kitchen was fully equipped, bathrooms comfortable and storage was stocked with everything for the beach. No cost for off street parking was appreciated. The condo was a true vacation stay in Kihei.

Condo was nothing short of fabulous. Kitchen well stocked. Bedrooms and living area all had AC making our stay very comfortable. Lanai views were gorgeous from sunrise to sunset. Easy to get around the Island from this location. Some great local eats nearby including Isana Seafood and Sushi, Maui Pies ( sweet dessert ones and savory ones), Coconuts Fish Cafe, Fleetwood's on front st in Lahaina. Jim was super responsive and easy to communicate with. We would absolutely stay in this condo again.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful condo. The lanai overlooks the ocean and we watched the spouts of whales as they swam by. The beach is a 2 minute walk across a grassy area.
The location is great. Lots of restaurants are a quick drive away. Lahaina is about a 30 minute drive.
The condo is well maintained and the owner is responsive. It was perfect for a stay with our friends who had never been to Maui. before.

Excellent condo. Exactly as pictures shown. Great location. We loved playing the new sport of pickle ball which is directly in front of this condo. Kitchen has everything you need - well stocked. I would recommend to friends and family. I would also recommend to have the pool area open past 9 pm to at least 10 pm. Otherwise we were happy with our stay here.

This rental was simply perfect. It was centrally located so nothing on the island was too far. We spent a month exploring the island and this place had everything we needed to do just that. Amazing view, comfortable bed, beach gear, fully stocked kitchen, air conditioning, washer and dryer, pool, hot tub. The hosts were very responsive to our questions. The condo was fantastic for our family of four! The view was breathtaking and we could watch the whales from the balcony for hours. Located in Kihei in close proximity to easy shopping and restaurants. We liked that it wasn’t surrounded by huge resorts and had easy access to the ocean. We also appreciated that there were beach chairs, umbrellas, body board, and cooler that were available.

Very nice condo, well located for access to all parts of the island, lovely view of the ocean and the kitchen was very well stocked with pretty much every kind of utensil you could need to make any kind of meal! The communication with the owner was very easy and he was super accommodating by allowing us to check in a little early as it was our wedding day so this gave us time to get ready in the condo. The pickleball courts are very busy from early in the morning every day (the leagues started around 7am) and were quite loud, so we found it difficult to hear the ocean waves over the chatter of all the players and "popping" of all the balls. Of course, this was out of the owner's control, but did away from the peacefulness of the lanai, having a quiet morning coffee, or giving us the option of the lanai doors open overnight and hoping to sleep in a little. Lovely place overall though, would be great for a small family as it has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

This gem of a place is located perfectly to get anywhere you want to go on Maui.
The condo was the best stocked place I have ever stayed in. I felt like I was in my own kitchen and was able to prep and cook without feeling like I was camping. Linens were in abundance and the extras to make a beach day easy! Chairs, umbrella, cooler, lots of other toys if you have small children. The condo is well maintained and modern up to date. The sunsets on the lanai are picturesque, having breakfast and catching site of the whales were another highlight of our trip. Hosts were great and responded to any and all questions I had. Check in and out couldn’t have been easier.

Most importantly, the condo has a nice balcony with stunning views of the nearby ocean and amazing sunsets. Most of our awake time at the condo was spent out there. On top of that the unit is clean, comfortable, has plenty of pool/beach items, nice pool and hot tub area, and is in a great location. Having the two bedrooms on separate floors was nice - perfect for a small family or two couples. Not far from the airport, close access to Kihei restaurants, and 10 minutes to Wailea. If we want to stay in Kihei again, it will be at this condo again!

Property/condo was great. Property has a fabulous view and it was conveniently located for a short drive to all of the activities we had planned. My only drawback was the pickle ball courts just below the balcony. There must have been a community wide pickle ball league (?) and every single morning just after dawn there was always a crowd of players (25-50people). Players were semi quiet but it made it a little less that relaxing when trying to enjoy your morning coffee with the beautiful view. Obviously not something the owners can control, but if you are expecting quiet serenity every morning, this likely wouldn’t be ideal for you. Otherwise, the property had all the essentials and all communications were easy and well answered.

The condo had great views of the ocean and two minutes to walk to the beach across the grass yard. Shopping and restaurants are within a 10-20 minute drive, we played golf that was a 4 miles away so great location. The condo itself was very clean and was easy to get to from the airport. I highly recommend this condo to everyone, it is two bedrooms one upstairs and one downstairs. Kitchen perfect! Will book again!

Jim and Mariea are amazing to work with. This was a vacation from 2020 we were able to rebook thanks to their generosity. As soon as we walked in I knew the pictures didn’t give it justice! I loved sitting on the lanai every morning with coffee and listening to the birds. Our family ate every meal outside (breakfasts watching the pickle ball players were a family favorite). The location was PERFECT. You will love how close to Kihei it is without being in the hustle and bustle. It’s strict with quiet hours which makes it such a peaceful place to get away. The condo has everything you would need- even pickle ball stuff to give it a try! My daughters used the boogie board every day and that was a blessing to discover since we would have rented one for the week. I can’t say enough about this condo. I think it’s the best location on the property as well- 30 second walk to the pool and 2 minute walk to the ocean! The beds were comfortable, A/C was cold, kitchen was stocked. This is a hidden gem in the VRBO world! We made memories we will cherish forever, thank you!

We just had an electrical issue for two days so lost power in living room and upstairs bedroom but owner had electrician there in two days. Otherwise would have given all 5 stars. The property was nice. The unit needs some bulbs replaced in the bathroom downstairs, kitchen and bedroom. Also, its very dark in the downstairs bathroom so brighter bulbs would be a plus. Beds are worn out and not very comfortable. We had a home on the Big Island we used as a vacation home and the comfort of the beds was a big plus. Its an investment that you can't go wrong with. Overall, stay was great!

We were returning guests at Luana Kai and plan to go back again. The central location, gorgeous views of the bay with whales and surfers, and spectacular sunsets are all good reasons to choose this condo, but it is unique in our experience in being fully equipped, tastefully decorated and very easy to live in. Other times we have had guests for the weekend and needed a two bedroom but this time we did not need the extra bedroom, but chose this anyway because we love the loft bedroom! We visited friends upcountry, watched the surf on the north shore, played golf mostly at Dunes, and enjoyed the tennis court right out front. We ate breakfast and dinner on the lanai, shopped the farmers' markets, swam out front (water shoes recommended!), enjoyed every sunset and generally had the most perfect time. We will be back!

The condo was just what we had hoped for. Well stocked and with the comforts of home. The sunsets from the balcony were beautiful. Beach chairs, sand mats and large towels to take with us in the car. Centrally located to places we visited. We bought a Costco membership when we got there. Purchasing food and getting gas at Costco paid for the membership! Much cheaper then buying these things in town. The pool area is very nice with several bbqs and a full stove and oven. Hope to return! Mahalo to the Rensbergers for allowing us to stay in their condo.

Condo was as advertised ... very nice place with all the amenities of home. Amazing views from the balcony and the pool, grills and outdoor area were very convenient. Parking and access were very easy and accessible. Was nice they had sand mats, umbrella and other beach items to take so we didn't have to rent or purchase. Farmers market and grocery store were close and not overly expensive. I would recommend stopping by Costco by the airport to get alcohol, sunscreen, bread, milk and meat as they were substantially cheaper here than at the local grocery store. So many amazing places and sites to see on this island and the condo was conveniently located to get to all these locations quickly.

Upon arrival, I was so glad to see that the condo met my (very high) expectations.
It’s a beautiful condo with a picturesque location. It was exactly what I was looking for – luxury on the beach with peace and quiet, yet close enough to all the beaches, restaurants and attractions that I wanted to see. The home is clean and comfortable, the kitchen is well-stocks, and the AC and fans in each room keep us cool in the hot weather.
I enjoyed being able to walk directly to the beach in the mornings with my coffee and to watch sunsets in the evenings. The grounds of the complex are beautifully maintained; I was able to do yoga on the lawn overlooking the ocean. I will definitely be renting this condo again.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. We had a very busy week in honolului and coming to Maui we were ready to relax and enjoy ! This property let us do just that ! Great views of the ocean every morning and evening from the lanai. The condo was well equipped with towels ,both for the beach and for everyday needs. Having the beach chairs for the beach was great. Being able to do laundry before you come home was very conveinent ! We would absolutely stay here again. Thanks to Mike and Edy for your hospitality and finally getting us into the condo!

Our stay over Christmas in 2013 was an amazing couple of weeks. We have stayed in many different VRBO's on the Hawaii'n Islands and this property stands out for it's location, views, and finishing. No matter what adventure you have planned for the day in Maui you are central to all. When you get back to your spacious Island home you are greeted with all the comforts you could want including a lanai that affords fantastic views for morning coffee, afternoon Happy Hour, and picture perfect sunsets.
Owners have provided plenty of extras like beach chairs, umbrella, cooler bag, boogie boards etc. Making a fun beach day easy. Many of the best Maui beaches are close by and a long beach for Maui sunset walks is right out front. The pool area and BBQ's are first rate. The entire complex is very well maintained.
The large park area out front is far more relaxing than the South Kehei Rd that divides the beach and many other condos. Tennis is not our game but the courts are in very good condition and not crowded even during the busier Christmas season. Good shopping is close by. We like Safeway for convenience and the fish was always fresh.
Nice details about this property include the space, top floor = quiet (no chair dragging over your head), large flat screen TV's in all rooms, and AC with ceiling fans and floor fans. No problem staying comfortable day or night.
We are so happy with our stay we will be booking again for next Christmas, a first for us with any VRBO Condo in Hawaii. Overall we found this property great value, well managed, and as advertised.

I stayed this unit with my husband and four year old daughter and for some of the time my mother too. There was room to spare with plenty of towels, sheets and pillows for everyone. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes and even extras like salad spinners and baking dishes. We used the kitchen every day and it felt very close to being at home. Our family spent every day at the pool, used the community bbq's and spent every morning and sunset on the porch. It was an amazing stay and we would love to come back- our daughter talks about the "fancy hotel" we stayed in almost every day still. We will be back.

- Nothing blocking you and your view of the ocean. So if there are whales cavorting, chances are you will see them. :)
- The home is fantastic. All the fittings and trim have been updated. The place looks modern and warm
- Some of the best beaches are 1/2 a mile away in each direction
- A hot-tub, swimming pools, grills and tennis courts in the condo common area
- The only down side is there aren't that many good restaurants in this part of Kihei. Decent spots are a drive away. But then again why would you want to go elsewhere when you can cook at home!

Here is what we sent to the owner...to which we received no response.
We were a little disappointed with our stay at the condo May 17-May 24.
The floors seemed like they were not cleaned. If they had been, I imagine that the dead moth on the floor in our bathroom would have been picked up.
The air conditioner does NOT cool down the condo in 10 minutes. We had to leave the air on most of the time otherwise we were looking at an hour of discomfort before it was ok.
You have many broken dishes, mostly plates with sharp edges. The cushions on the sofa are soiled and really need to be cleaned or replaced. The dishwasher door has still not been repaired. I say "still" because another guest complained about this in the guest book on the coffee table.
With a condo set up for 4 people, I expect that when you tell me there are beach chairs that there is more than one or two. There was only 2 beach chairs and one of them was broken. We went to look for chair rentals and it was cheaper to buy them. We bought 4 used beach chairs from Snorkel Bobs for $40. Obviously we didn't take them back with us so they are yours to keep...
All of my complaints are minor. They are simple little things that matter to a guest and none of them cost much to fix. It's just disappointing because the pictures on VRBO made the condo look pristine and we didn't get pristine.
On the plus, the view was great and as usual we enjoyed our Maui vacation. However, we would not stay at this condo again.

I came to Maui with two other friends of mine in early-June 2012. We stayed in this unit, and the decision was well made. My stay at the Luana Kai, and in particular this unit, was incredible. The views on the lanai was magical and perfect with the ocean and West Maui in the background. The unit itself was fully furnished, clean, and spacious. Perfect for practically anyone from couples, families, friends, or even on your own. The location in general is very convenient with grocery stores, drug store, and restaurants nearby. Its close to the main highway taking you to Kehei and beyond. I would no doubt rent this condo unit again in a heartbeat.

We just stayed at this amazing condo for a week! It was wonderful! the views are amazing, and the inside of the condo was topnotch. Everything we needed was there... even beach toys, chairs, boogie boards! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect place! The upstairs room worked great with the custom built in doors/windows to make the loft room private. We were able to put our 2 year old to bed upstairs and still enjoy our evening downstairs without having to worry about waking her. We loved it here and will be suggesting this place to all of our friends if they are looking for a place to stay in Maui. Mike was also SUCH a huge help! We really appreciated his suggestions!

Spent a week at this place and it was absolutely perfect. Clean, new, beautiful views of the water and in a great central location to tour all around the Island. I highly reccommend the condo - its much nicer than any that I came across and Mike, the local property manager was extremely helpful with all sorts of information and travel tips. If I find my way back to Maui any time soon I will definitley stay here again.

We spent the most enjoyable ten days at this condo! Every day began with a performance by whales and dolphins. The view was bounded by Kohoolawe and Molokini on one side and Lanai on the other, with the whole expanse of Kihei Bay in between. We met friendly neighbors at the poolside barbeques and quickly felt at home. We saw the sun set from the lanai every night night despite visiting friends upcountry, playing golf at several spectacular courses and taking daytrips here and there. Twenty minutes in a car in any direction takes you to an entirely new environment, from the charm of Lahaina, to the art studios of Wakaloa. Haleakala is a totally unique experience. Maui has an incredible variety of landscapes from sugar canefields to desert to mountains to precipitous valley. But that's only if you want to leave your home base.
The condo is by far the nicest in the complex with beautiful wood trim, lovely granite counters in the kitchen and baths, cool tile on the floor and simple but elegant furnishing. The kitchen has everything you need (even a garlic press!) and thanks to the proximity of farmers markets in either direction, we enjoyed papaya, mango, fresh lettuce and avacado every day. The condo is right on the beach, with tennis courts and a lovely pool area. Our prior plan was to rotate through the islands, visiting a different one each year but next year, its back to Luana Kai on Maui for sure!

Just got back from our trip, which included a couple weeks at this condo. We really enjoyed it. Very nicely renovated and very comfortable. We stayed at a very similar style condo (#2) after leaving , so feel we could do a direct comparison. My comments are on this unit.
The condo was clean, fairly spacious and considerably larger than #2. We were staying with another couple while here and had plenty of room and privacy. Kitchens in this type of unit are usually pretty cramped, but the kitchen in this unit was very adequate in size and allowed two people to do their thing without much trouble. Again, the remodel made the kitchen very nice - DW was in need of a door hinge repair, but worked just fine. Also, nice size 'fridge.
There is no dining table, just some bar seating, but it was no problem. We ate our meals on the lanai at the table there. Pretty spacious patio area with seating for four. The view is great - ocean, palm trees, and the park. We thought we would prefer being closer to the water, but had that in #2 and found it was better to be a bit back from the beach.
This condo in in a smaller sized resort, which we liked. It is well maintained and the staff was friendly. Overall, very quiet, an nice experience. Many of the people staying here are repeat visitors, which speaks well for the resort.
The rental process was easy, all were responsive and great to work with. Will definitely keep this place in mind for our future travels.

I’ve been here a few times and each visit has been better than the last! The location of the unit provides spectacular, breathtaking views. Every morning we’d wake up and have breakfast on the lanai and take in our surroundings. It was so peaceful and beautiful! The layout of the condo itself is really nice too. The master bedroom has sliding doors that separate it from the rest of the unit. This unique feature adds intimacy, but you can still watch the sunset from bed! The complex that this unit is in has everything you could want: bbq’s, a large pool, hot tub, shuffleboards, great beach, and tennis courts. My boyfriend and I used the grills to cook dinner a few nights, and made friends with the other friendly residents who were lounging by the pool enjoying the sunset. Also there are plenty of nearby attractions to explore, like Wailea, Lahaina, Haleakala etc. The owners provided great information about the best restaurants on Maui as well as daytime activities like snorkeling, surfing, and zip-lining. This unit has all the comforts of the top hotel resorts, with added freedom and privacy. Can’t wait to return!
