Loved our unit at the Colony Villas! It was really comfy, clean and well equipped. The complex had 2 pools, gym and tennis courts. We used the kitchen which had great cookware and nice basics like oil and seasonings. It also had very nice beach equipment. Very nice shampoo and soap was provided, a detail we appreciated. The owners keep birdseed in the garage and we were able to enjoy breakfast every day with many birds feeding near our lanai. That was such a nice touch! Management company was great. Communicated well and provided super clear instructions for smooth check in and out. The only feedback we have is that the beds were too soft for us and the second bedroom gets hot during the day. Even still we would definitely stay here again.

This is our second stay in this unit. It is exceptionally well stocked! We found everything we needed and then some. Very clean and comfortable. The property as a whole is also quiet and very well maintained.

Perfect location for all the great beaches.. Condo was fully stocked with comfortable beds and cool decor.. Lots of beach toys.. Only thing we could of used were 2 more Tommy Bahama Chairs and bigger boogie boards if the waves were bigger.. Other than that perfect!

Great location. Lanai does get hot in the afternoon, but it’s Hawaii right?!

I really enjoyed unit 303 and can see myself downsizing eventually to a unit like this in retirement. Well furnished, fun decor, clean and good location in Waikoloa. I would stay again.

We very much enjoyed our stay in this comfortable home with great sunrise and sunset views. Only issues were one had to push on the dryer door to get it to start and the dishwasher door rubbed on the one side so it took a little extra push to get it to close. We did break blender jar while removing it to get to the Keurig. Our apologizes for that. Our stay was pleasant and we would stay there again.

The townhouse is bright and clean. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and the patio has afternoon sun. We had family in a second larger unit but everyone wanted to hang in this lovely home. Lots of towels and other supplies. Also appreciated the beach chairs, umbrella and boogie boards. We would love to return some day.

This was our first time staying at the Colony and I have to say I love the fact the units aren't stacked like condos. Really felt very comfortable as far as location, room, features. A few things to remember there is a restriction for minimum temperature to 74. This unit had fans throughout the house so it made it more comfortable. However, we sleep very warm and this made it slightly uncomfortable. In addition, this specific unit had waterproof mattress covers that sounded like a garbage bag. Every time I turned I could hear the crinkle. Also the bed was super hard. The combination of the two made for hard nights to sleep comfortable. With the exception of the bed the rest of the unit was a great fit for our adventures!

My only complaint is the little, black insects in the bathroom and bedrooms upstairs. They seemed to get worse each day we were there.

This is a lovely condo in a quiet area with easy access to amazing snorkeling sites. The furniture was comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. We are picky about our bed and this was the only shortcoming.

We really enjoyed staying at this townhome. The location was fanstanstic and the unit is well maintained. The unit is centrally located near the shops and beach. We took the Kings trail to the Queen shops and another trail to black sand beach (fair warning that the hikes are over lava and can be hot). The townhome was well stocked with spices, which were great for cooking. We also took advantage of the beach toys, towels, chair and umbrella that were provided. We loved seeing a family of gecko's that lived near the unit. The master bedrom bed topper could be improved. Also, this is not the Owner's fault, but the rules for the pool incjuding the kids wading pool seem to be written by someone who only wants people to quietly nap at the pool. That said, we still spent alot of time enjoying the pool with our young kids.

We had a nice week at Waikoloa Colony Villas. The unit was clean and well equipped. About 20-25 minutes from Kona. Definitely get off resort for better, more affordable dining and grocery options. Aloha!

If you are going to the Big Island and you want a spacious condo ready to use, this is the place. The owners and management company have the unit set up with all the little things that count for a condo stay: soaps, detergent, spices, utensils and cookware in the kitchen, and plenty of extra towels. You need not bring your own beach gear such as towels, mats, umbrella, boogie boards: it's all there. We are particular about our snorkeling gear, but there were masks, fins and snorkels to use had we not brought our own. The layout allowed our party of two adults and two teens to have plenty of space to ourselves during our downtime in the afternoons/evenings. We were pleased with how clean things were upon arrival and tried our best to keep it that way. The Waikoloa location is great for access to Kohala and points north and not bad if you want to see Hilo and the Kiluea volcano. It is a bit of a drive to get to Kona snorkel spots and reasonably-priced grocery shopping (Costco/Walmart). I liked that the management company checked in on us just after arrival to make sure we were well-situated and everything was to our satisfaction. If we come back to the big island, we will definitely stay here again.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We can't say enough good things about this condo/villa. If you are looking to stay on the Kohala/Waikoloa part of the Big Island, this is the place to stay. The owners have set up this unit so that you can show up and enjoy yourself from the first minute. Plenty of beach gear (towels, mats, snorkels, boogie boards, umbrella); a well stocked kitchen (pots, pans, knives, spices, coffee maker and grinder, and blender). If you choose to cook, just buy food. Our party of two adults and two teens had plenty of space to stay out of each others' way which is key to enjoying our down time. The only downside is proximity to Kona snorkeling spots, but there are plenty of natural attributes to enjoy near Waikoloa if you plan your trip right. The management company checked in just after arrival to ensure we were happy with everything. We were able to take advantage of a late-booking discount, but we would seek out this unit well in advance if we return to the big island.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the Villa; however, didn't realize that we weren't as close to the water as we had hoped. Like to sit out on deck and listen to the waves and couldn't do that. The villa was very clean and roomy and loved that we were close to the pool for the kids. We enjoy going downtown and it was quite a drive. Loved lava lava and it was convenient to have kings and queens marketplace close but did a lot of driving to do anything or go anywhere.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Although it was a great stay, the a/c was not cold enough. I know people want to save money by having the a/c set at 70, but when you are staying in waikoloa, you need to have the a/c just a little colder. 65 would be perfect. The window treatment needs to be fixed. Not being able to open the blinds to where to want it, was no a deal breaker, but we had to keep them closed the entire time in the back bedroom due to the blinds not staying open.
