Room was clean and updated. Had everything one would need, including beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, etc. Property was well manicured with pool and nice beach in front. Easy to get to and around the island. Owners were easy to talk to and included plenty of information about the room and places to go. Would definitely stay here again.

We took all of our kids and grandkids and stayed at Sugar Beach resort. That is the only place the kids wanted to be on the beach or at the pool. The accommodations were great. If you didn’t feel like cooking, you could go down to the little restaurant have a bite to eat or maybe even something to drink the walk on the beach to the bakery in Kihei was great best place to stay in Maui.

When we arrived, locating the unit was easy. We found the unit to be exactly as advertised and was clean and well stocked with the necessities. I had to reach out to the owners for a non problem question and they responded immediately. The grounds are well kept with plenty of colorful foliage. We felt the hot tub a bit small for the size of the complex. We would rent this unit again if we travel there again.

First of all Mahalo to Jon and Nancy. They have been so easy to communicate with and so accommodating. They truly have a little slice of paradise here at sugar beach. The ocean view is more stunning than the photos.
The condo is equipped with anything you could possibly want or need. Bed and pillows are so comfy. We truly enjoyed our time at sugar beach and hope to return soon!

We were above and beyond impressed with this condo and location. So happy we picked this place. We’ve been to Maui many, many times and this is now our favorite place to stay. The location was perfect, the condo and all the amenities we’d ever need (stocked with beach items), size perfect, so clean and up to date, and the view was even better in person (spectacular). The owner was so helpful and provided great advice. Everyone was so friendly and the beaches were great for a morning or evening walk. Sugar Beach was never crowded. What a great retreat!

Can’t find anything negative to say about this property. It was absolutely home away from home. All the amenities were as described, awesome view of the ocean, steps to the beach! Will definitely stay here again! Best if you rent a car to ease with movement around town.

We had a great time staying at Sugar Beach.
As some others have mentioned, it does tend to get windy in the afternoon. Not a problem for us as were happy to go and visit a different beach / part of the island each day. The resort location is great with quick access to main roads. Not a lot close by if you want to walk, however.
The condo was nice and clean. The owner, and on-island concierge, were both quick to reply to any questions we had.

We stayed here for five nights on our first visit to Maui and it was perfectly located for exploration in every direction — away from all the noise and crowds of Kehei but quick and easy road access to all of its restaurants and shops, 10-12 minutes to all the big box stores in Kahului, less to all the boat trips and the Ocean Center at Maalaea, and reasonably close to Haleakala and the upcountry. The Resort’s beach, pool, hot tubs and grills are fine, and the condo itself is very comfortable and well equipped. Jon gave us plenty of practical info and was quickly responsive to our questions. We had a memorable stay and would return to his condo on a future visit without hesitation.

The property was great. It felt like home for the week. It had everything we needed. Great location - close to Kihei and its restaurants and activities but not in the "hustle and bustle". Also easy to get to other parts of the island. John was extremely responsive to my questions.

The condo was perfect for our needs. It had everything we could possibly need (much more than we actually used) and the location in the complex was perfect...balcony overlooking the pool/beach, close to parking... We enjoyed the condo, pool, hot tub, and beach daily.

We had a great experience from booking to check in. We received a welcome packet a few weeks before out stay. We checked in through the front desk upon arrival and the condo door has a door sticker as proof that the property was professionally cleaned and sanitized. We had everything that we needed, including washer and dryer. The view from the balcony was so amazing. The walk to the pool and beach was also short. We’d love to come back again!

Jon's place is in a perfect location. Our drive to other places weren't too far. Even though we had some issues upon checking in, the front desk staff were quick to assist me. The area is quiet, and the beach in front was never crowded. I didn't check if there was a public parking nearby, but the entire time we were there, only guests got to enjoy the beach. The unit was remodeled nicely, and we really enjoyed our stay. My kids are older (16 and 12) so they slept on the sofa bed. I wish to return to Maui next year! Mahalo, Jon, for opening your home to us. My family and I pray for your good health and a prosper business.

Sugar Beach resort has now moved into first place as my new favorite place to stay on Maui! The beach is so beautiful there and this resort and condo are an outstanding value. Very comfortable king bed, nicely remodeled unit, beautiful views and so much more. We appreciated the in room washer/dryer, auto ice maker, tons of utensils in the kitchen, nicely remodeled bathroom, and large lanai! My only remark would be that there were no beach chairs, umbrella or cooler but we were able to rent beach chairs in the on-site office. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property!

It was a great experience! My only complaint would be the carpet at the doorway was filthy. Upon arrival, I was truly afraid to enter if the doorway was a representative of what was inside. Thankfully we were happy to see a beautiful room. Grounds crew could attempt to smile sometimes, their demeanor was very cold. I would definitely rent this property again!

We went all over the island so this was a great location for us. View of the ocean was nice and amenities were nice. Only reason for not being 5 stars is the Microwave didn’t work and the shower head leaked on and off at odd times I. The day and night.

Beauty, Ocean Views, Comfort, Sunny, Warm Breezes, Amenities, Awesome location. A hidden gem for sure. Sugar Beach was a wonderful place for my 12 day vacation. The unit was very clean and well done. Bay Hampton Furniture adorned the balcony with those nice tight weaved sling chairs. Ample seating outside on the terrace for four people. Easy computer hook up and TV. Bed was very comfortable and nice shower and bathroom. Kitchen had everything you could want to either eat in or out. The true beauty of Sugar Beach is that it is the last of the Condo's built in N. Kihei and there is no traffic or pedestrian congestion. It is not near any public beaches and so you are and feel like you are on your own private beach. The water is beautiful. And there is a local store nearby to buy groceries If you need them. Very convenient. The Pool and Grills were very clean and enjoyable for everyone. The staff at Sugar Beach were nice a polite. I would hightly recommend it to anyone who wants to relax and feel like there in a 4 star hotel.

Sharon and I really appreciated the upkeep and how nicely the condo was updated.....just like in your photos. The kitchen was well equipped and meet all of our needs as a couple who enjoy the benefits of a prepared meal on the lanai, while enjoying the sunsets and sounds of the surf. In addition we really enjoyed the benefits of the saltwater pool and hot tub!! So much easier on the skin!! Plus the king sized bed was very comfy!!
And we really enjoy the benefits of Sugar Beach's central location.
Jon, we will definitely be returning to unit 303, on our next trip to Maui.

Very nice condo. It was very clean and very well maintained. We enjoyed it thoroughly and would stay there again.
The location is great for driving to various parts of the island. The top of Haleakalā is visible from the balcony.

We stayed at Jon's condo at Sugar Beach for our first trip to Maui. It was awesome. Very comfortable and felt just like home. Everything was at the property as mentioned and the location was perfect. We really enjoyed our morning walks on the beach with coffee in hand. The staff at Sugar Beach was very helpful and grounds were very clean. Jon was easy to work with and went out of his way to help us with a late check out. Can't wait to stay his place again.

We loved Sugar Beach Resort and this was a great condo. Had a very comfortable beachy feel. Nice master bedroom with large bed, bath attached with a slide door to the bedroom if you need privacy. Came with all the kitchen amenities that we needed to make it our home for a week. Enjoyed making a pot of coffee and sitting on the lanai each morning, enjoying the fantastic view. Just steps to beach, great pool, and resort is in a great location. Owner was very easy to deal with and felt very comfortable renting from him. Can't wait to return
