Both are 2 bedroom/2 bathroom so between my 2 condos at the same resort, I can accommodate up to 12 guests (8 adults/4 kids).]

We are the proud owners of this 2 bedroom/2 bathroom condo located on the west coast of Maui in the Honokowai region. Located 5 miles north of downtown Lahaina, the Paki Maui condo resort is oceanfront and right next door to Honokowai Beach Park, where the kids can enjoy a playground and beach. Enjoy the ocean views of Molokai and Lanai'i from the Paki Maui lawn: sip your morning coffee while watching the waves come in or sometimes turtles feeding on the reefs (or even watch humpback whales November - April) and come back later with a Mai Tai to watch the beautiful sunset over the Pacific.

We consider our beautifully remodeled condo as our second home, and yours: you won't be roughing it as you'll enjoy the modern amenities, from the granite kitchen countertops and tile floors throughout to the claw-foot bathtub great for bathing the little ones after a day at the beach. As well, we've installed a 48-inch Samsung Smart TV. Enjoy breakfast on the private lanai off the family room or take a well-deserved afternoon nap on the chaise lounge on the other lanai off the master bedroom.

Our intention is to provide a great value for families - affordable yet upscale at the same time. The master bedroom has a Cal King bed, the guest bedroom has a Queen bed, and the couch in the family room has a comfortable Queen size fold out bed. Plus we provide a Port-a-Crib and collapsible stroller (remove child first!) to accommodate guests with small children so you don't have to haul those items from home. And you'll notice that we won't charge you for additional guests - our unit sleeps up to 6 people (4 adults, 2 kids) yet unlike other condo owners we won't charge you a fee for each person up to the 6. You can all cool down with the trade winds coming through both sliding glass doors, as well as ceiling fans in every room. We also have free wireless in the condo, high speed internet access, and cable HD Internet-enabled TV in the family room. As well, we had a washer/dryer installed in the condo.

Directly across the street you'll find the popular Farmers' Market every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning (schedule TBD during Covid-19) for fresh local produce, fruit, breads and the like! Feel free to meander to the deli/market, grab some coffee at the Bad Ass Coffee company and shop at a number of stores across the street.

The Paki Maui grounds are meticulously maintained, with mango and banana trees, a tropical garden with exotic Hawaiian flowers, as well as a koi fish pond with waterfall. You will enjoy the pool and jacuzzi on the grounds plus can relax on the resort's lounge chairs on the lawn at the ocean and under the palm trees. And feel free to prepare your own meals on the gas BBQs available in the swimming pool area.

Please note that this unit (#227) is an end unit on the 2nd floor (there is an elevator behind the lobby). As an end unit there is some noise from the road so if you're sensitive to that (most people are not bothered by it as you can see from the great reviews!), you might want to consider my other option that is oceanfront, unit #323 and listing # 1320209 (but as it's oceanfront and more square footage, it's more expensive than #227!). Having two condos, I'm happy to therefore be able to provide options based on guests' budgets and preferences. Paki Maui also does not currently allow owners to have air conditioning.

The Covid-19 pandemic has been with us a while now and because much is still uncertain about how the next phases of the pandemic might unfold, "Cancel for Any Reason" (CFAR) travel insurance is highly recommended (e.g., Google "Cancel for any reason trip insurance", visit www.insuremytrip.com, check what travel insurance your credit card may offer, etc.). Also please keep in mind the chance of family emergencies/bad weather delays, flight/rental car cancellations, job loss, snow/ice, in addition to Covid-19 bans/restrictions, etc. If you live in an area prone to hurricanes, forest fires, etc. and cannot make your trip, please seek reimbursement through your travel insurance.

It is the guest's burden to safely travel to Maui to legally stay at Paki Maui 227 (it is illegal to quarantine at Paki Maui and any guest who is cited for doing so will be responsible for any fines). The condo owner will not take the financial risk if the guest is unable to travel for any reason, per the cancellation policy on the rental agreement (e.g., test positive for COVID upon travel date, chooses to not get fully vaccinated & test results are not available in time to fly, uses an unauthorized testing partner, guest's home country/state/province requires quarantine upon return home, etc.). A full refund however will be given if the State of Hawaii completely restricts travel to Hawaii (if Hawaii shuts down travel).

This property is absolutely perfect! Jill’s place is located right on the ocean with convenient access to the beach just steps away! Other beaches are just a short 10-15 minute drive in either direction and a pool onsite. Instead of going out to eat, my family decided to cook all of our meals in the condo, giving us more opportunities to do excursions or buy stuff. Communication with the property manager was easy and she answered all of our questions. The property was well stocked and even had beach items for our use. The only negative I have (which is outside of her control) is the roosters! They made noise at all hours and early in the morning! 10/10 recommend this location and this host!

Celebrating graduations in West Maui is the only way. We had a great time. It’s our favorite neighborhood where everything is close and food is delicious. We will definitely be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Paki Maui. Jill had everything that we needed for our 9 month old including a packable bed with sheets, high chair, pool toys, umbrella and more. The open floor plan was nice as was our two balconies where i frequented several mornings to hear the waves and birds. Also loved the property itself including the lounge chairs on the lawn and the small courtyard with koi pond. We utilized the in home laundry services several times which was SO useful. I highly recommend.

Definitely easy on the wallet, it was extremely spacious and it had boogie boards, pool noodles, snorkel gear, which was available for you to use which we took advantage of. It also came stocked with spices and coffee from previous people which we used to our advantage as well when we cooked.Didn’t have AC but we’d just leave the window by the lanai open which blew plenty of air into the rooms along with the fans. 10/10

We had a wonderful time walking to the beach through the park next door and enjoying the tide pools and seeing turtles swim by and whales breaching. Wonderful farmer's market and badass coffee across the street and food trucks only a few blocks away on the same street. Would love to stay again someday.

The property is literally 2 minutes or less from the beach. There is an ABC mini mart within a 5 minute walk which also has gas at an OK price. There is a state park right next door. The woman who was at the front desk was awesome and very helpful. Jill our condo owner is about as AWESOME as you can get!! There was everything you need for a wonderful stay in her condo, dishes, cookware, even some simple spices!!

Honestly my only critique would be that the kitchen gear could've been better stocked and the cupboards could've been wiped cleaner, but the layout is great. Love the in-suite laundry. Walking distance to groceries at the Times, pool was small but we went to Hawaii for the beaches, not the pool! Large main bedroom, and even though there was no AC, there were plenty of fans to keep us cool. We had family stay at a nearby different condo and they were jealous of ours!

Don’t be put off by comments of road noise. The occasional loud truck or car with thumping music is really no big deal. The ocean is much louder and on 24/7. We enjoyed the chaise lounges on the grass to watch sunsets. Two very clean large bbq’s are available by the pool. The owner responds immediately to questions. Location is perfect, close to town when needed. Close to great walking and hiking trails. Having a washer and dryer in the condo and a kitchen with all tools needed to prepare all our meals was exactly what we needed.

It's like home. Beautiful sunset and sunrise view from two balconies. Three minutes walk to beautiful beach. The location is close to a super market, ABC convenient store, food truck, coffee shop and restaurant. Free wifi and basic cable TV.

This was my first trip to Maui, and my family's first trip to HI ever. This was also my first time renting a condo or a VBRO for a trip. We took our 3 kids, and it was magical. The location of the condo was perfect! We were within walking distance of so many things to do. The pool and hot tub were perfect. There were grills for bar-b-qing, and a beautiful ocean view where we saw black rock crabs, and a sea turtle 3 nights in a row. The beach and playground were next door, with a coffee shop across the street. There were mango & banana trees on the property as well. I will for sure be coming back to stay again in the future.

Nice location with non swimmable beach, good for snorkeling. Condo was large and everything inside was sufficient including kitchen items. Needs new beach chairs though. Roosters kept waking us up and apartment is very close to the road making it very noisy. We didn’t stay in condo during the day, just basically slept there. Overall, good accommodation on the budget.

The property is right on the beach, so you can go down and put your toes in or do some snorkeling. It is literally 2 minutes from the front door. The room was large enough to handle our family of 6, with 3 adults, and 3 teenage boys. The neighborhood is close to shopping so you can get food or snacks easily, and we felt comfortable in sending our kids out to get it. Perfect for families. May be a bit noisy for an elderly couple who doesn't want any noise. Pool and hot tub was clean. The property manager was always very available to answer questions. We did have an issue with the washer and the on site representative contacted us and helped us within 24 hours.

Enjoyed our stay here, property manager Melvin was SUPER helpful. We had one thing that needed attention and he was on it asap. Only down side, which is small, is there were only 2 dish towels, no hot pads, have to supply own laundry detergent, and little stuff like that wasn't stocked or available to cook with. Once you run out of toilet paper you have to buy your own, which Ive never heard of. But like I said, the small things. Also, no blackout curtains which is really hard with little kids and no AC. We had a great time here and recommend it, just some little things annoying to not have.

Stayed here for 5 day before heading off to HNL , it’s about 40 mins from the airport, parking is plentiful and easy. For unit 229 it easy to walking up the stairs by the dumpster. The location offers a ocean view from the balcony which there are two. The beds and sofa beds where comfortable and the ocean breeze with door open required no AC. I packed a outlet strip which I feel was needed for all the electronics in the bedroom. It’s a vacation stay so only one TV in the living room. The extra stuff for the beach is located in the owner locker room and is great you won’t need anything to buy from Walmart except your suntan lotion.

Condo is right next to fantastic Honokawai beach park. I loved that this park had trees and more shade than most beaches, bathrooms and picnic area. It wasn’t as crowded as some beaches either. The water entry at condo is more of a snorkeling reef entry and it had large sea turtle visitors daily. The pool was decent size, and included a hot tub and fantastic bbq area with lots of countertop space and an outdoor sink all fully shaded. The condo itself was a good size, one of the few with two bedrooms AND two bathrooms. We loved the walk in shower in the main bathroom. The master bathroom was an interesting antique style tub and shower with separate shower head from shower wand and bath faucet. That was so very nice after a long day at beach. The condo was well stocked with tons of beach toys, boogie boards, nice snorkeling sets, chairs, a cooler! It also had a washer and dryer, which was definitely a necessity we used often. This condo also included some spices, oil, cooking condiments etc. which was appreciated. I prefer condos that provide more than just the basic salt and pepper as we tend to cook. Condo was also well stocked with pans, utensils, etc. As was expected, the condo does not have air conditioning. It appears many do not in Maui. You do get a really nice ocean breeze with the windows open, especially in the evening, but being that it was June, it can get a little stuffy during the day. Mostly we were out and about during the day, so it wasn’t a huge deal for us. They do provide several fans. For the most part we did not have a car this vacation, so I can safely say this condo is in a location where you can get around on foot if you have to. It’s a short walk to times market, and next to a great beach with snorkeling and turtles in front of the condo. Kaanapali beach, which is a fluffier sand beach with bigger waves, is also right next door, a very short walk away. There is a food truck garden right across from times market, and several other restaurants and interesting bars just down the road. We came with young kids, and both have decided they would like to move to Hawaii. They didn’t want to leave! All in all we had a marvelous time and would love to come back some day.
