We had an incredible stay at KBM Resorts’ Honua Kai! The villa was perfect for our family, especially with the included rental car, which made exploring the island so easy. The villa itself was spacious, clean, and equipped with everything we needed. We loved the convenience of having a well-appointed kitchen and the beautiful ocean views from the lanai.
The resort amenities were a hit with the kids, who couldn’t get enough of the waterslide and the various pools. The beach was lovely, offering some decent snorkeling, and just a short drive away were even better spots for exploring the underwater life. We also loved how convenient the location was—with a variety of food trucks only a 5-minute walk away and a Safeway just a 7-minute drive for any essentials.
Overall, this was a wonderful family-friendly destination that we would highly recommend to anyone looking for a blend of relaxation and adventure!

The property, pools and hot tubs were beautiful, the room was very clean. The beach here at the resort was beautiful and clean! I had received an email that the pull out couch was not comfortable for anyone over 70 lbs and the two others that came with us were adults so we had to spend more money on rollaway beds. They took the mattresses off the rollaway beds and laid them on top of the pull out couch mattress. There were two beach chairs and a boogie board in the room. The only thing I wish the room had was an umbrella as we had to rent one for $40 a day anytime we wanted one. On this brutal sun, some sort of shade is needed to escape a bit. Great location to everything. The only thing we had to really drive further for was to get to Paia to start the road to Hana. Paia was about an hour away. The owners checked in several times via phone call or email! Would definitely stay here again!!

We had a lovely stay. Only issue is we were bothered by property updates. They changed the door locks, sprayed for pest control, and knocked on the door to fix the carpet, but there was no carpet in our unit? But all of these things continue to make the Honua Kai a great place to stay!

The property has gone downhill a bit in the past 5 years, just a little tired. The pools don’t seem clean, the lounge chairs have bird poop all over them, garbage on the lawn area, one side table for the whole pool area. Our condo was great, well-appointed and stocked with beach chairs, coolers, boogie boards. Kitchen well-stocked. Clean throughout condo.

A beautiful complex, a very enjoyable place to stay. Condo is very nice but could use a few extras. Furniture is getting close to needing to be upgraded as it is a few years now since it was built. Having said that it is not completely shabby but is showing signs of wear. KBM are very easy to deal with and do attend to your needs in a quick and efficient manner.

This was our third time staying at Honua Kai and we will continue to stay here when in Maui. The condo was very comfortable and nicely located with an ocean view. The grounds are lovely and the pools very popular with the families and kids. They dedicate a quiet pool for adults which is very much appreciated. KBM does an excellent job of managing this and many other units. The fact they include a rental car is a nice bonus. We will return!

We enjoyed the Duke's Beach House restaurant - great food and cocktails! The long paths to walk as far as we wanted to. The pools and hot tubs serviced a variety of guests. The beach never seemed crowded. The ocean was absolutely delicious! We really liked that all of the properties along the north Kaanapali beach were more spread apart than Wailea.

This place was wonderful. Close to everything, right next to elevator so didn't have to walk down long halls, and the elevator took right down to underground garage also. Only complaint, which didn't bother me as much as my husband, was that you couldn't adjust the air conditioning. Unless you were really active inside the place it wasn't that hot. Usually away from room anyway!

This unit was clean and bright, and had a huge bathroom. It is a little small for 4 (2 adults, 2 kids on pullout couch) but would be ideal for 2. One small suggestion is to install towel bars for hand towels in the bathroom, since they don't dry easily in this climate. Otherwise we had a great week here!

We were very pleased with the room and with the Honua Kai Resort in general. The place was well-maintained, the amenities were very nice, the living quarters were very comfortable and the grounds were immaculate. The pools were good for the kids and the adults. The location is also nicely located between the old city of Lahaina and the beautiful Napili Bay area. We would certainly consider staying here again.
