This was a smooth and easy process to check in and get to the place. The view was amazing and the place had everything you could need. Plus two separate bathrooms with bidets attached to either room were amazing. Definitely will be coming back to this place.

Margie's home is wonderful. Very comfortable and nicely appointed. The views from every room are wonderful and the unit it quiet being situated away from the pool.
And if you are a cook like I am, wanting a condo in order to eat in frequently, you will be very pleased. I stay in Vrbo places frequently and have never stayed in one where the kitchen was so well supplied with everything you could need to make a complete dinner. I never looked for anything that I could not find.
I also particularly liked that it was just a bit north of the main Kihei action but close enough for easy access.
Now I'm just trying to figure out how soon I can go again!

We met our daughter, son-in-law and grandson for an all too brief Maui vacation. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice to stay at Margie’s place. Margie’s “Maui Bliss” is truly bliss! We arrived after dark and will always remember the thrill of opening the curtains the next morning to this amazing view. Photos don’t do it justice. Peaceful, beautiful, birds singing and a big green belt with palm trees then ocean views—what could be better.
The interesting thing about this condo is it is only about a mile from lots of restaurants, etc. and yet you feel secluded in your own piece of paradise.
Inside, the beds are so comfortable, and the bedrooms have black-out curtains. The condo is organized and equipped with everything you could possibly need for your stay. Lots of dresser space was appreciated. Views from all windows. Relaxing TV area. You really don’t need to leave.
Sunsets from the lanai can’t be missed. What amazing, beautiful colors.

The condo unit is beautifully supplied with everything we needed for a fun and relaxing time at the beach. Margie is a friendly, accommodating, informative and responsive host. I appreciated that she reached out before our visit to inquire whether we wanted one king bed or two twin beds in the master suite. The views from the second floor balcony are breathtaking. We absolutely loved that from nearly everywhere in the unit you could view the ocean. The circular mirror in the dining room is perfectly positioned so that everyone at table can still enjoy the stunning view.

This oceanfront condo was a perfect place for my husband and myself, along with my sister and her husband! All of the bedrooms and the main living space had an amazing view of the ocean. The main bedroom was incredibly spacious with a bathroom. The secondary bedroom was much smaller but nicely decorated. It also had an amazing view and an attached bathroom. The kitchen was nice and perfectly stocked with plates, utensils, and cooking items, so we could cook meals. The living space was great. It is a bit smaller than what the pictures look like, but still very nice. The balcony off the main area and the master bedroom was very nice and we used both often. The condo complex has a pool, a kiddie pool, and a hot tub. The main pool is nice, but beware it is NOT heated, so it is a brisk swim. The hot tub is great. This complex has nice grills, so we were able to grill alot. It is also within a short drive of restaurants and bars, but we walked to restaurants and bars, too. The location is great and the condo view is fantastic. The host was very friendly and provided us with any information we needed. She also made us homemade bread, so when we came in late and were hungry--her delicious bread was waiting for us! YUMMY! GREAT TIME! Thanks so much!

The area is suffering with lack of tourists! I can't say how many times we were thanked for coming. Our snorkeling excursion could hold 67 pp....we had 18.
The location of this condo was great! (not close to the fire area). A lot of restaurants, shopping, etc. within a short drive. It was great to have 2 bedrroms with ocean views. Several beach chairs, umbrella, ice chest, ect at the condo. Was great to load in the car and explore other beaches. Was also fun to sit in the hot tub at night.
Margie, the owner, was attentive and has kept up the maintenance at the condo.

Great property, great location. What a gorgeous view. Our party of four enjoyed this property fully. Every morning was beautiful. Loved watching the sunrise on the Pu'u Kukui mountains across the bay from the master bedroom balcony. The ocean view from the condo was beautiful and easily accessible just a short walk. The property was clean well maintained and had all the necessary amenities along with a great pool and hot tub. We were only minutes away from delicious food. I'm not sure if it was the circumstances of the island at the moment or the norm but the restaurants close early (8pm). I recommend renting car there are so many spectacular sites and wonderful adventures on this island!
Margie was a great host. She quickly and kindly responded to all of my questions before and during our trip. She eased our nerves as to whether we should cancel our travel plans due to the fires on maui. Glad we kept our travel plans and had a spectacular time. Overall: I would stay here again and recommend choosing this condo and Margie to anyone considering Maui.

We were only at this property for two days, but we found it to be very nice. The property is older, but sill in good condition. The condo had a great view of the Pacific and West Maui. Our host was wonderful. Overall a great value. Our friends stayed in another two bedroom unit in the same building that was much smaller. This unit was very large in comparison.

My husband, our 19 year old son and 13 year old daughters stayed here for 6 nights in June. Check in was very easy, and the unit was very clean and well appointed with everything we needed for our stay including beach towels, chairs, and boogie boards. Location was safe and easy to get to shopping as well as other parts of the island. The ocean view from this unit was amazing. There is a beach across the green space, which is beautifil to look at, walk on, and watch the amazing sunset from, but not great for swimming due to the amount of coral that is constantly washing up. But there are many nearby swimming beaches that are easily accessible. Margie is an excellent host with wonderful communication skills. We loved our stay here and would definitely recommend her home to others and would stay here again ourselves if we ever make it back to Maui.

The photos do not do justice to the beauty of the surroundings as well as the great condition of the condo which is well stocked with everything you would want for a week at the beach. The owner was great in providing helpful information after a late flight at night as well. This vacation was perfect. This is the best condo in kihei which has gorgeous beaches with turtles coming ashore. I can't recommended enough.

What a wonderful place to stay. Maui is a beautiful island and Margie and her husband’s willingness to share their piece of paradise is priceless. With 4 adults and an almost 2 year old traveling together, we didn’t know what to expect, but we found a solidly built condo where you not only didn’t hear your neighbors, you didn’t hear anything from either bedroom suite. Comfortable beds, two full baths, nice furnishings and a fully functional kitchen provided everything our family needed. Add to that a direct view of and access to the ocean, an elevator, gas grills, pool, kiddie pool and hot tub and we thought we were the luckiest people in the world. Don’t hesitate to rent this unit, it’s exactly as described and the owners are great to work with. Thank you Margie and Glenn, we hope to visit again soon. This is a great place to stay to start your trip. It's only about 20 min from airport and great view of the Ocean. This is more the heart of Maui and closer to Haleakala to start your trip. If your planning to see Hana area this is also closer than the west end of island where we stayed the rest of our trip.

This property was absolutely wonderful! It was clean, updated, and exactly as the pictures showed.
Margie was so great with communication! She kept me updated leading up to our trip and was quick to communicate when needed.
The only thing I wasn't expecting was the wind! It was quite windy most afternoons; so much so that we couldn't really utilize the beach, but it did make for a great breeze in the unit. Fortunately, it was not a long drive to get to another beach where it wasn't so windy. We did find mornings were less windy, so we took advantage of that and made our beach trips in the mornings.
The pool and spa were a wonderful place to relax after a long day at the beach or out exploring.
I would highly recommend this property or any property that Margie has. It was a wonderful experience and I hope to go back someday!

We stayed here with another couple. There was plenty of room. We spent the mornings sitting on the balcony having breakfast and enjoying the view. There was plenty of wildlife to entertain us. It was nice not having to worry about a key or key card to get into the unit. The door has a combination lock.
Thank goodness for air conditioning! We loved that there was air conditioning that cooled the whole unit since it was very warm.
Parking was difficult. There seemed to be a lot of cars that did not have parking passes and the spots were small.
We walked along the beach and enjoyed the view. We would definately stay here again and recommend it to others.

The condo was perfect for 2 couples and each bedroom had great views. The condo was very clean and had all the amenities you could need. Location was great with plenty of dining, groceries, shopping and beaches nearby. Margie was great to rent from. She allowed us to check in a few hours early when we arrived and check out a few hours late on our departure date, which was extremely helpful given our flight times. Margie was great to work with. Due to Covid, we had to reschedule twice. Margie kept in touch and was so flexible. Condo was fully stocked. There were beach chairs, towels, boogie boards. The kitchen even had extras in the cabinets including spices, Pam spray, coffee, sugar, foil, etc.
The condo was located right on the #10 bus line. The view is breathtaking. Walked to the beach in seconds! We visited the shops and eateries in the Triangle several times. We booked a snorkeling trip there. The beaches were all up and down S. Kehei Rd.
If you need to rent a car, suggest you try Turco app. It is much more cost effective.
Near Ululani's shaved ice. It's the best!
Can't wait to go back.

Found this reasonably priced condo in Maui, that was very adequately equipped for our stay. Clean and comfortable, nice view from balcony. Great job on the amenities.Beds were comfortable and good size. Pool was small and at times very crowded but that happens when traveling over a holiday I'm sure.The owner, Margie, was very professional and responsive to questions and concerns. Unfortunately, for us, Covid restrictions ruined the experience of the island, with all the limitations and mask shamers.

Your condo was beautiful until I went into the larger bed room it the bed looked messy. I was busy so did not check the bed till later. At first I thought there was no top sheet and I was not sure the bed was clean but then I found the top sheet put in side ways between the blanket and the spread. In the smaller bed room the bed was made with two top sheet so the bottom sheet kept coming loose during the night. My niece who was in that room eventually figured out there was a fitted bottom sheet but under the top sheet and it was sandy and dirty. It just seemed like who ever made the beds was distracted to say the least. One of the shades in the main room kept coming off of its roller. The bathroom in the bigger bed room had only one little rug the other bath room had two. The trash in the smaller bathroom was half full when we arived. The condo its self is beautiful.

Wow! What a fantastic place to stay on Maui! The view is amazing. We started every day of our trip sipping coffee on the lanai looking at the water and the mountain. We saw the prettiest sunset of our lives from this place. We slept with the windows opened a bit to hear the waves. The condo is very nice and has everything you will need: towels, beach towels, snorkel gear, beach chairs, necessary food stuff like salt and pepper and oil, dish soap, coffee filters, utensils and dishes... seriously, everything! I think the only thing I could've wished for was a bicycle for each of us - but as we had our kids with us I don't think that would really work. But a bike would've been nice because there are tons of good restaurants and shops within 2 miles! Lots of great beaches nearby too, and the one the condo fronts is swimmable. I really can't say enough good things about this place and I hope if/when we go back to Maui we can book it again!

Let me just say right off that I normally would have given the condo 5 stars. It's a nice place and is located right on the beach separated by a large lawn. The reason for the thee stars was the construction on the outside of the building. We were told well in advance that there would be construction going on on some of the adjacent units but that it would not be on our unit. Little did we know that from 8:30 to 4 they would be jack hammering through concrete right above us and on outside the walkways. It was so loud that we could not even talk to each other without shouting. Luckily on all but one day of our stay we were out before they started and we were sure not to come back till after 4pm. I would have no problem recommending this unit but definitely not during construction.

My stay in Kihei (property ID 282748) was great in every way. The decor was warm and inviting and helped us feel right at home compared to the feeling that one gets when at a hotel. The view off both lanais was breathtaking and we very much enjoyed the sunsets from that view. The kitchen was just large enough for us and was very well stocked with the necessary items to prepare meals if so desired. The appliances were in great condition and are relatively new. There is a nice collection of DVD's as well as a nice collection of books just in case anyone wants to take a break from the beauty of Maui. All of the rooms were clean and very well maintained. It was a nice to also have an assigned parking spot. The main office was very accommodating in attending to our needs and questions. The grounds were very clean and well maintained, including the parking lot. The pool area was really nice and very well maintained. The grilling area and outdoor tables were very clean and well maintained. There is not a bad thing that I can say about this property. I definitely would stay here again and would highly suggest this property to my family and friends.

The condo is as advertised, larger than others we've stayed in during vacations in Hawaii. The condo is in excellent condition, furnishings are nice and all appliances worked well. The views from the lanais look out over a large grassy expanse to the ocean, with the ocean within a three minute walk. It was great to walk out to the beach and watch the sunset.
Having a separate bathroom attached to each bedroom was extremely useful.
Overall, the condo fit our needs (2 couples, 1 one year old) very well. The complex is very quiet and we had plenty of space. We made freequent use of the beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, bucket of toys, etc. during our trips to the beach. We found this to be good value and highly recommend this unit.

My husband and I came here for our 2 yr anniversary. It was our first time to Hawaii and we fell in love with the entire experience! The condo is in a great location for sight seeing, shopping, and the beach! We were able to see whales from our balcony and the beach was pretty secluded. My husband and I enjoyed BBQ'ing and swimming in the outdoor pool as well. We will definitely be back and are so thankful that the owners shares their awesome, relaxing condo with us!

A favorite escape to paradise for 31 days proved to be perfect as we daily walked the beach, viewed sunsets from the lanai, and watched for whales' antics. Convenient to shopping and access to island locales by bus gave complete R & R. This well maintained unit is better than the photos with every amenity to make it home away from home. Choosing this accommodation will be always be our greatest discovery.

This was a beautiful place to stay for our family holiday on Maui! The condo was spacious, clean, well supplied and peaceful. (just as its pictured) The location was excellent to all the activities on Maui as well as convenient to shopping and restaurants. Coffee on the lanai every morning and beverages every evening with front row seating for the sunsets.
Making our arrangements were seamless as well as the instructions for our arrival. The office at the complex was very helpful answering questions and helping book tours etc.

Lovely week long stay on Maui, a sisters get-away. Condo was clean and well furnished. Central location was excellent for quick travels to many great beaches, shopping, and restaurants. Private pool and nearby beach offered great sun-bathing. Were able to see migrating gray whales on several occasions from the condo balconies. Office concierge was a great resource for planning a kayak trip and luau experience. Highly recommend this vacation site.

Everything about the condo was as represented. We enjoyed having 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms as well as the air conditioning (we are not accustomed to humidity). The very central location was great for our adventures south, east and west.
The owner was great in recommending "must do" activities and the great reference "Maui Revealed". The snorkeling was fantastic as were the sea turtles, stingrays and dolphins. Beautiful beaches near and far.
We attended the Old Lahaina luau which we highly recommend. Local restaurants we enjoyed are Antonio's (Italian), Sansei (fantastic sushi and hamachi kama) , Stella Blues (multiple wonderful choices).
While visiting the "upcounty" we enjoyed a local haunt (Stopwatch Bar and Grill) in Makawau. Generous drinks, lots of locals.
Of course you should go to Costco, buy fresh opah and ono and enjoy the barbeque at "home".
Our only downside was going to Haleakala in the afternoon. It was rainy and cloudy. You should go early (before 9AM). We were told to go for sunrise, but it was too relaxing to get up that early and follow the crowds.

Our family of six had a great time at the Maui Bliss condo. Being from Seattle, one of the best perks to the condo was the air conditioning. After a long day of snorkeling or being the beach, it was very refreshing to relax or take a nap in the cool condo. The ocean view from the lanais was amazing morning, noon, and night. The sunset is just as pretty as in the pictures on the Maui Bliss website. Being able to just wake up and take a backyard stroll on the beach was also wonderful.
The unit was well maintained and clean. We ate most of our meals at the condo to save money and we found that the appliances were modern and we had no difficulty finding the right tools to make meals. Village by the Sea's outdoor grilling setup is very nice, well-lit, and clean. The condo's location is very convenient to grocery stores, dive shops, the pharmacy, restaurants,and markets. We got the most delicious and ripe pineapples we had ever eaten at the nearest craft market down the road.
The owner is very knowledgeable and quick to respond to questions via email. For instance, we asked her advice on a good beach for boogie boarding, and her suggestion of Big Beach ended up being our favorite place to play in the waves. We enjoyed snorkeling at the Ahihi Kinau Area Reserve and Kapalua Bay, where we swam with sea turtles. The concierge in the condo lobby was also very helpful in booking us a Molokini and Turtle Town snorkel trip and tickets to a luau in Wailea with fire dancing and great food.
We would recommend this condo rental to our friends.

My family spent 9 wonderful days in Maui. It was so nice to stay in the condo instead of a hotel. It had everything we needed and we loved it. It's roomy, comfortable, very clean, and private. The kitchen is well equiped, even a blender for making yummy pina coladas! The pool area is really nice and the grounds around the condo are well maintained. The use of the boogie boards and all the beach stuff was a life saver. I loved the lanai and would sit out there every morning and soak in the unobstructive view!! It's very peaceful. All the beaches around the condo are clean and beautiful. I know we will stay here again and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Maui. Margie was excellent to work with and the staff at the condo are very helpful as well.

Our family had an excellent time staying at the Kauhale Makai condo. The central location is fantastic. We made quite a few trips to various tourist stops and we were constantly impressed with the central location of this beautiful condo. The pool and other facilities were perfect for my two young boys. The condo itself was perfect, it has been tastefully renovated especially the two bathrooms. We spent many an evening enjoying the views from the Lanai - amazing. Most of our time was spent relaxing in perfect weather. The family had a great time and leaving was very hard on everyone. We were very pleased with the condo. The location, layout of the condo, the view from the lanai,amenities,all were excellent. There is an elevator for use.The condo was very quiet and nicely decorated.(very modern). The kitchen has everything you need to make it feel like home. We appreciated being able to use the beach towels,chairs,cooler and mats. You have such a nice view of the palm trees and ocean from both bedrooms. Most condo's don't offer a view from all the bedrooms.
The location is very central and is a very short drive to many of the other great beaches, stores and restaurants. We also enjoyed our meals at the BBQ's in the evenings. The BBQ's were clean and we ate at the tables provided. The tiki torches were a nice touch.
The market at the college on Saturdays is a must. You can buy fresh fruit,vegetables and more at the market. We drove the road to Hana and stopped to hike through the bamboo forest and up to the waterfall. Don't forget to stop and buy some fresh banana bread and coconut candy from the stands.
We took an afternoon catamaran to Molokini to snorkel. It was a great trip. We had fun at Bubba Gumps in Lahaina. Great place to watch the sun set. Fun to walk around in Old Town Lahaina.
We drove to the top of the mountain one day. You can tell from the condo if it is a good day to go up.
If the clouds are low or there are none in sight, hop in the car. It is worth the drive. Stop 1/2 way down afterwards to take in the zip-line.
We really enjoyed our stay here and would stay again.

We spent 2 wonderful weeks enjoying Maui and the beautifully renovated condo. We love the convenient location and beautiful sunsets we observed from the condo and from the beach out front. Waking up every morning and having coffee on the lanai, while watching whales breech in the bay, was certainly a favorite part of everyones' day. The pool and gardens were very clean and well looked after.
I have recommended Kauhale Maki to anyone who asks about accomodations in Maui, and have told them how perfect this condo is!

My husband and I along with our son, his wife and two kids arrived 3-10-11 to a Tsunami warning. After being advised against staying at condo & spending 1st night sleeping in mini-van at community center, we then commenced on Friday-- once S. Kihei street was opened (10:00 a.m next day.) to our condo for the rest of our 12 day stay. We had a wonderful time.
This condo being constructed of concrete was absolutely soundproof from room to room in the condo itself, as well as from other condos. Each building has the condo units outside and around a center "court yard" with lots of plants. The central air conditioning was so nice to have. The remodel of this unit made it such a pleasure to stay here--the bathrooms were such a nice surprise (as there had been no pictures of them) REALLY nice!! Everything was very clean.
We enjoyed sitting on the lanii daily and also walking the beach in front of the condo. This is a very good place to collect shells and sea glass, especially the area in front of the access stream on the left of the property.
The beach supplies were used daily, lots of towels, 3 chairs as well as cushioned pads (also coolers, unbrellas, body boards, etc.) The condo was well stocked with paper products, cleaning products, and some personal care items. Also lots of basics (condiments, etc.) in kitchen.
The pool & barbeque area were always kept very clean, and seemed even nicer than the pictures showed. The pool and BBQs were used a lot at the end of the day after our travels around the island. The central location was just perfect. We tried a new beach every day (and some days 2 beaches). We highly recomment the Sat. Swap meet in Kahului at the college to buy souveniers. We went there 2 different Saturdays. Also highly recommended is the Pacific Whale Foundation excursion to Molokini and Lanii (a 7+ hr trip) on the Ocean Voyager. Great food, great people running the boat, wonderful experience.
We spent our last afternoon the the Aquarium, also well worth the money for the 4 1/2 hrs spent there. We took advantage of the free talks that were given there telling about the sea life.
The weather was always sunny in Kihei even when raining elsewhere in Mauii, we would leave Kahului where it was downpouring and drive right out of it into the sun in Kihei. We never had a rainy day while here.
We saw dolphins, whales & turtles as we went to the beaches each day. We had great sunsets from our lanii. We hope to return some day!!

We (myself, my husband and my elderly parents) spent two beautiful weeks in Kihei at Kauhale Makai. During the rental process Margie was always quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had (and there were many! Thank you for your patience.). When we arrived at the condo it was refreshing to find that is was exactly as shown in the photos. It was kind of like "coming home", a feeling that was felt throughout our stay. We've been spoiled by the ocean views enjoyed from the main lanai, as well as from both bedrooms. The location is very central, making it easy to get anywhere - shopping, dining, snorkeling, zip-lining, etc. - or just driving around and enjoying the beauty of the island. There is lots of accessable beach for early morning strolls and whale watching. The pool and bbq area is a great place for meeting other guests to share experiences and compare the "weather at home" stories! A breakfast at the Kihei Cafe should not be missed - go hungry or plan to share! Or indulge in a decadent cinnamon bun from Cinnamon Roll Flair - mmmm! We look forward to a return visit.

We spent two weeks in the wonderful accomodation to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. One week was spent with friends who we share the same day and month for their an anniversary, just 11 years earlier. The condo was very clean and spacious for us and a fantastic home-base for all our adventures. Sunrise on Haleakala, snorkling at Makena Landing, zip lines near Makawo, navigating the road to Hana (and back), riding Harley's around 'Ulupalakua, along with many hikes and time relaxing at the pool. We will forever remember the magnificant sunsets on the Lanai. We will be back to Maui and plan to stay here again.

This was my first visit to Hawaii and it was truely "bliss". The condo was just as described - spacious, very clean and comfortable, extremely well stocked, quiet location, and great views. We used the beach supplies almost daily(towels, mats, umbrellas, coolers and boogie boards).
This location is very central to almost every place you may go on the island. We drove the road to Hana, went to the Old Lahaina Luau, snorkeled at Makena and several other close beaches, and took surf lessons at Goofy Foot. It was relaxing to just handout at the condo, too - playing shuffleboard, watching the birds and whales and sunsets.
It was easy to stock up on supplies for the week at Costco (right by the airport) and get all other items needed at nearby Safeway and Longs Drugs, There are also rental shops close by.
Owner Margie was very easy to contact and quick to respond to all questions. Host Hope was also welcoming with treats and suggestions for our stay.
Would love to return again!

We throughly enjoyed your condo!! The location within the building was
perfect; second floor with great views.
The condo had all of the kitchen items I needed and we did cook a few
times.
I couldn't think of anything you missed having there for us. The
cleaning and paper supplies were appreciated.
As people ask about our trip, I continue recommend your condo as I felt
it was much better than a hotel or resort, we had everything we needed and
the location was pretty central to all other area's of the island.

We had such a great time at your beautiful condo. Waking up in the morning to sit on the Lanai with a cup of tea and a front row seat for whale watching, was a wonderful way to start the day. We went snorkeling, boogie boarding, swimming, attended a Luau and always gorgeous sunsets every night. We can’t say enough about our Host, Hope and her husband Dan. Hope suggested great places to eat and answered any questions we had. And when our last day on the island came with Tsunami warnings at 6 am, Hope was on the phone insisting we come to their home because it was on higher ground. They treated us like family until the crisis was over and we could get back to the airport.
We loved our week, the only problem was, it went to fast.

Paradise in Paradise is a short entry to describe our
10 day stay in Unit 214. Lying in bed with open
blinds, I viewed a moon framed by the swaying
coconut palms. Days were exciting as the whales
played right before our eyes from the lanais
(without binoculars, too). While we walking along
the shoreline, a pair of sea turtles were 20 feet
from us. All of these special events were free when
we rented this perfect condo. Yes, we looked at
other property while on the island and none
compared! I can barely wait for our next stay.

Imagine waking up each morning, taking a short stroll across the lawn to your own private beach and watching the whales while sipping your coffee...this was the start of each incredible day in Maui. We were so impressed with this condo - the amenities, cleanliness and helpfulness of the owners and host. Definitely will be back! Just a perfect place to stay!
