First time at Sunset Kahului and it was exactly as described. Kauai Vacation Rentals had a packet ready for us with precise directions and parking spot. The unit was clean, had everything we needed. The view from the lanai was beautiful. We ate out there all the time. It will get warm in the unit if you don’t keep the drapes closed in the afternoons. It was very quiet and relaxing. We will definitely be back again.

We love staying at Sunset! The location is perfect for us! Ocean breezes, beautiful views and we love to walk to Poipu beach every morning to see the turtles and Seals. The sunsets from the lanai are breathtaking! We were not sure if the room temperature would be an issue without A/C, but between the ocean breeze and the fans, the room stays very pleasant. (But we don't spend a ton of time in the room, with so much to do on Kauai!) This is our 4th stay at Sunset Kahii and we will be back!

We love the location and the condo itself. When coming to Kauai we prefer to stay here. It feels homey and comfortable, and always has some things already stocked in the kitchen! There is a wonderful ocean view, and we spent every morning on the private lanai enjoying that view while we ate breakfast. This place has always felt perfect for the two of us!

Literally a home away from home. Everything provided, perfect apartment and very nice view of the ocean and beautiful sunsets.My wife and I have been to Poipu 4 times, first time in Sunset Kahili, a very good experience.The entire complex is well maintained and clean. We had one neighbor doing some tile work for a few days, but nothing that would ruin our days.The entire complex is very sensitive to noise, so you have to talk quietly. A normal conversation or tv sound can be heard all over. We had a day with loud neighbors but it was taken care of by the complex manager immediately.All in all, a very nice week.

It was a quick walk to Poipu Beach. The TV was a little frustrating to use and air conditioning would have been nice. Also, it was inconvenient to have to pick up and drop off the keys.

We really enjoyed our stay at your condos & could not believe the full ocean view from our lanai! I don’t think we could have afforded a hotel room with the same view! We found the location to be perfect for heading out to all shores for activities & the area was so much quieter than Kaapa for instance. The condo was well stocked with everything you could need including beach chairs, umbrella & towels, all things you couldn’t bring with you! The bed was comfortable & you could hear the waves crashing outside! The bathroom had a spacious vanity & there was great closet/storage space to easily unpack & feel at home. We didn’t cook meals but the full size refrigerator & the coffee pot came in very handy. It was a very hands off process as far as the rental company goes but we were given phone numbers to call if we needed anything so we had our privacy! We could not have been more pleased with these accommodations & would book it again! Mahalo!

We booked Sunset Kahili 304 through Kauai Vacation Rentals and stayed there July 20-27.What we liked about this unit: Spectacular view. Beautifully decorated, comfortable and equipped with every amenity we could wish for. Immaculately clean.What could be improved: There was no air conditioning, so it was very hot at certain times of the day. It was 80+ degrees inside the unit in the evenings due to the western sun exposure, even though all windows and louvers were wide open and there was a 15mph wind, and we had all the fans turned on.The magnetically attached shower head wasn’t angled enough to prevent water from spraying onto the floor.We appreciated the laundry supplies, but the Tide pods have too strong fragrance. It would be better to provide fragrance-free products.All in all, we would recommend Sunset Kahili 304!

We loved this condo! It was the best stocked vacation rental we’ve ever stayed at. It has great kitchen supplies, a stocked pantry, all the beach gear you’d need, etc. The lanai was lovely with great ocean, beach, pool, and sunset views. Only a 5-10 minute walk to Poipu beach. Under 10 minute drive to many restaurants and grocery options. Internet speed was great. The ocean breeze and fans kept the temperature very comfortable. Comfortable bed too.

In the pass we have always have met the owners, in this case that didn't happen. We got charged twice (booking fee) once from VRBO and once for Management Company. Floors and cushions NEED to be cleaned.

Directions from real estate company to Sunny Kahilil perfect with envelope and keys on their porch...easy access with elevator, fabulous view from the condo , just as the website showed...shocked with happiness at how well this lovely place was stocked with essentials...very comfortable bed and shower,living room furniture updated and also comfortable....the view was a source of our entertainment the ocean was full of daily happenings..the pool was so nice after a day on the island..Poipu was suggested by a neighbor and proved to be wonderful..we traveled the whole island and favored Poipu for the weather and beaches...the walk to the beach from the condo was quick and. Sunset Kahili is an amazing place to stay! Condo 304 came fully equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay in Poipu. Supplying your own food & clothing, everything else is there. The beach is a 5 min walk and at sunset you can see the sea turtles on the beach. The lanai has a spectacular view of the ocean from the NW to the South. Watch the sunset, surfers, dolphins, boats, birds & the weather as you relax. We will definitely stay again as this was the best value for our vacation. It truly is paradise!

This unit is clean, and kitchen is well stocked. The Lanai has an excellent view of the ocean and sunset. Poipo beach is only a short walk away, and unit has beach chairs, an ice chest, and a boogie board to use. Kitchen has plenty of utensils, plates, glasses, and a few basics like salt/pepper, oils, spices, coffee maker, blender, coffee bean grinder, etc. Note that if you go in the heat of summer, the windows face west and the condos can get hot and their is no AC - but this unit does have ceiling fans, and a few standing fans to try to cool off at night.

very nice. Fantastic view from living room and lanai. Good location and orientation to catch the trade winds. Clean. Very well equipped and supplied. Has everything you need. Our only complaint was that the ceiling fan in the bedroom was unpredictable. It would turn itself on or off at random times. Couldn't figure out the control. Instructions on how to program the thing would have been nice. In spite of that we had a great time and would stay there again.

We LOVED this condo — it felt like home! Excellent location, so nice to sit on balcony in morning and later to watch the sunset. On a few days we filled a wagon with chairs, umbrella, etc, pulled it to the beach and hung out there. Kitchen had many gadgets available, and we also made use of the dishwasher and washer/dryer. We found the location of the condo to be convenient as well. Check in/out process was a little inconvenient, as we arrived on a late flight and had to go to the office to pick up (& later return) keys.

The apartment I stayed in, Sunset Kahili 304 was clean and well-maintained, with the exception of the bedroom fan making noise at low speeds. You also have to be willing to wake up with the sunrise (because there are no black-out curtains), and there's no air conditioner (but a great sea breeze and plenty of fans).The big pluses are the location (walking distance from Brenneke's Beach) and view -- vast expanse of ocean and shoreline, and the sound of waves crashing due to it being one building away from the beach. Another big plus is it is the most well-equipped condo I've ever stayed in! They have everything you would need (completely stocked kitchen, dishwasher, washer/dryer, beach equipment, bathroom amenities), and lots of things you'd never expect (freezer paks, oils and condiments, binoculars, detergent, etc).One welcome surprise was a note from Kauai Vacation Rentals with some delicious cookies, a 10-cup packet of coffee, a reuseable shopping bag, and a mini cooler. We used all of the items extensively and they were a great bonus.Finally, the times I had to deal with Kauai Vacation Rentals always resulted in great customer service. When I had questions before renting, they were friendly and personable over the phone. When my companion left her bag (with passport and credit cards) behind in a closet after we checked out and were already at the airport, I called them again and they agreed to ship it to me express mail. They understood the urgency of the situation and made sure I knew when the staff had found it, and checked whether I wanted to know how much it would cost before they sent it (as express mail is expensive).They really went above and beyond and I would really recommend the company as an excellent one to deal with. I would also recommend the condo as a fantastic place to stay, and would gladly stay there again if I visit Kauai.

My husband and I rented this property for 9 nights, and it was a great surprise. Honestly, the outside of the building is old and not really plush looking. But we were very happy with the cleanliness of the property, the pool and the condo. It was like home away from home! Just like staying in a friend's place while they were gone. I've stayed at a lot of condo properties through out the islands, and this one was the best outfitted and most welcoming. We eat special diets so I cook a lot and was very very happy with all the gadgets in the kitchen, including blender, food processor, coffee maker, strainers, plenty of dishes, utensils, bowls, etc. They were very generous with spices, extra cans of food, and many other staples that were ;et behind by others and not wasted (sugar, oil, plastic baggies and containers etc, There was plenty of tissue, paper towels, shampoo, suntan lotion, lots of things to choose from if needed. We totally were able to outfit our trips to the beaches with chairs, mats, a GREAT umbrella, and towels. It was nice having a washer and dryer with plenty of soap. No skimping here by the owners. We were very comfortable with the bed and surrounding living area and bath. We would definitely highly recommend this property and would come back. Also we were just steps away from Poipu beach - we are in our 70's and walked there a lot! Rented snorkel equipment right at the beach for $24 a week, and that was so convenient The sunsets were beautiful although the lanais are not as private as I would have liked BUT whose complaining, your in Hawaii! The pool was nicely kept up and we often were the only takers in the early evening. Although we never met them, the vacation rental management staff was very friendly, informative and accommodating (like to our late arrrival). Tips, go to Walmart and Costco to get the supplies you need, best deals on the island. With all that said, Don't hesitate to rent this property, you won't be sorry.

This was a perfect studio apartment for two. We wanted a spot near Poipu Beach and we easily walked there with our snorkel gear and beach bag. The kitchen is well appointed and was perfect for cooking most of our meals and the sunset view from the Lanai during supper was spectacular. The king bed was comfortable and the bathroom spacious and updated. A very comfortable stay and a great location if you are looking for a south shore spot.
The only word of caution I might offer in case it is important to others… the modified V design of the building means noise carries very easily. Even casual conversation at the pool or on lanais can intrude on others. For the most part, all residents followed quiet hours and we had no issues adhering to them. However, our next door neighbors had the expectation that they would have people over in the evenings and night and the building is not suitable for company like this even if you think you are being quiet. We spent a few nights ‘attending’ our neighbors gatherings by adjacency. But they soon stopped and adhered to quiet hours. And we went back to peaceful evenings.

Just another great experience renting a Condo. This place had everything you needed included beach chairs, cooler, and umbrella for the beach. All the cupboards were full of anything you needed to cook. It had a great view of the beach. I was concerned that it did not have AC but with the Fans and cool air from the Ocean I don't think we would have turned it on if they had it. If I came back to Kauai I would come back to this place. The only issue was there is a big bump coming into the Condo Parking lot where we it rubbed on the bottom of the Camaro that we rented.

The condo unit was as advertised. The ocean view was phenomenal. The main issue I had was with a guy who claimed to own the property. Someone parked in my assigned spot. I called the leasing company and they advised me to park in another spot. The guy, I think his name is Dennis, knocked on my window and was belligerent. He told me I couldn't park there and he would tow the vehicle. I explained to him that I called the leasing office and was told it was ok. That did not calm him. He told me there was open parking around the block. Mind you, I'm a woman traveling by myself and it is nighttime. It took another call to the leasing office who then had someone call him directly. During all of this the person in my assigned spot just casually came out and drove away. Ultimately, it was ok but was very scary in the moment. It did not happen again and the leasing office called the next day to check on me and extended my stay for one day. Overall great but watch out for Dennis.

Over all our stay was pleasant, however, there were a couple issues that should not have been a concern. The floors or carpets in the unit were dirty, as our feet showed when walking around barefoot. Also several dishes in the cupboard were dirty and we had to wash many before using.

We enjoyed the condo very much, it was beautiful and had amazing views. However, we were extremely unhappy to see the illegal use of round up being sprayed all over the property, as well as being yelled at for getting into the pool by the manager that’s on site. He was rude and scary and closed the pool over an hour early most nights. He certainly did his best to make sure every interaction we had with him was unnecessarily rude.

We loved staying at this condo. We loved watching the sunset over the water from our balcony, being able to walk only a half a mile to Poipu Beach, and having a central location in which to explore the entire island. The condo itself was well stocked and clean. The rental checkin and drop off were easy since the office is located next to the airport. Everything was perfect!

Property in a condo overlooking Poipu south beaches and INFINITE Pacific Ocean! Coffee on Lanai every morning was a TREAT! Condo has everything you can think of re amenities particularly if you cook vs eating out!
We were concerned re No Air Conditioning, but 2 Honeywell vertical fans provided great ventilation with shutters open to outdoor constant ocean breezes

Awesome, quiet condo. Everything was nice and well-maintained. The pool is a special treat after the ocean. Close to Brennecke's beach which is perfect for a quick swim, and the location is centrally located to all the adventures of Kauai. The check-in process was simple and everyone I worked with was accommodating and nice. Thank you so much for the great vacation!
