This is a great location in Kihei. Very convenient to everything. The turtles can be found if you walk down the beach late afternoon just about every day. The condo is well stocked with everything you might need in the kitchen and for the beach. This was the second time I stayed there and I highly recommend it. Owner is great to work with.

We found this place to be clean and the location was great. The 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms were also a big deal for us (kids could have their own room/bathroom). The pool is right off the lanai so it was very convenient for the kids to use and it was not too busy during our stay. The beach was nice and we saw some turtles in the water just off of the beach a little to the North. The sunsets are amazing and people gather at the beach to watch it.
Access was great - you can go out Lipoa St to a light to turn left (north) onto Kihei Rd if needed or just a few blocks south to a lot of other restaurants, shopping, and beaches. It is also walking distance to a grocery store for supplies and Nalu's, which is a great breakfast/lunch/dinner restaurant (tip - find the rear access to the Azeka strip mall and you can walk right to Nalu's in about 2 minutes).
There is also a cooler and some water toys in the 2nd bedroom closet (we left some water noodles, masks, and snorkels that we could not fit into our luggage).
You may see some homeless people periodically near this complex, but I think that may happen anywhere in Kihei. It was not a big deal. (Not bashing Kihei - this was our 2nd time to Kihei and we love it and will return again.)
Overall, my entire family loved the place. If you are thinking about booking this place based on the cleanliness, location, and many nearby restaurants and activities, you will not be disappointed.

We loved this condo. It was perfect for our family of four. The proximity to the beach is unbeatable. There are plenty of stores and restaurants within walking distance. The condo itself is clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped. We would gladly stay again on our next trip to Maui.

My family truly enjoyed our stay. It had everything we needed plus extras such as beach chairs which were an awesome addition. Steps away from the beach. We walked to restaurants and coffee shops as well. Our teens were in the back bedroom with two single beds and their own bathroom. And my husband and I in the master with our own bathroom as well. Made getting ready much easier. We will definitely book your place again in a heartbeat. Thank you for letting us do a later checkout as well. Mahalo

We loved our stay- the condo was perfect and very well equipped, we couldn't have asked for better. The location is close to a grocery store and restaurants. Everyone we met there was very friendly. John, the caretaker, was great. The sunsets were spectacular and we enjoyed our morning walk on the beach. We will definitely stay there again. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Property and location is perfect - however, we had disruption of our visit due to maintenance of the exterior of the property (2 days staining exterior door which needed to be kept open, 2 days parking lot line painting, and about a week due to refinishing stone tiles). The owner was lovely and very apologetic but I explained we came for rest and relaxation and the maintenance work negatively impacted our experience. One of the other owners shared that they want to get the maintenance done when they have the owner's gathering during the first few weeks of November. We stayed in the same place last year in early November and did not have this experience. We were disappointed this year as we had such a peaceful and quiet experience the previous year.

The location is totally excellent. The property is very well maintained, and Christina was very supportive. the beach location could not have been any better. Close to the Condo, nice sand, many turtle sittings and the sunsets were most magnificent right from the Lanai. Peaceful quiet, good neighbors, made many new friends, and The care taker was not only good at his job but was very informative concerning the local area and things to see. Third time staying in this unit. Location and easy access to the unit and beach are great. But the lanai is my favorite feature. Start the day with breakfast on the lanai and end the day relaxing, watching sunset and listening to the waves. We have seen sea turtles on the beach every trip.

This girls trip was my second stay in this quiet, off the main road unit. View from lanai is my favorite feature! Parking directly in front of the door makes for easy access with luggage or those who cannot walk long distances. Beds are comfortable and condo is well stocked with hand soap, body wash, dish soap, paper towels, and toilet paper. Two AC controls is a plus for a group of ladies! There are 3 beach chairs and beach towels are included. Close to grocery store and several dining options, including Kihei food trucks. Less than 25 minutes to airport and centrally located for day trips to Lahaina & Ka'anapali, Haleakala National Park, Wailea, and Road to Hana. Christine is very responsive. We were missing extra wash clothes, and her assistant delivered them the same day. Can't ask for better service! Will definitely be back!

Easy to get to, and grocery store around the corner & pharmacy too. Love that we can walk out to the beach at any time! Found turtles toward the right-side of the beach quite a ways down, but worth it. They come to shore to rest about 7 : 08pm but don't stay long.
Found a great pizza place Pizza Madness Maui 1455 s kihei rd.
Do not recommend Road to Hana, extremely curvy & road is barley wide enough for 2 cars - sometimes other times single lane. Very stressful. Also don't go back during 4-5:30pm, locals are in a hurry to get home & pass you as you approach a corner!
The owner of the condo was very responsive. There is a black book under coffee table & the instructions for AC are in the plastic holder. There is a sensor on the glass sliding door if they are open the AC will turn off.
The only thing I will say is the floors need to be cleaned better, there is no dirt but our feet got pretty black on just the first day. I think if they would use a spray mop vs swiffer wet pads that would help. They supply you with tp, but you might need to buy more. There are only 3 beach chairs, and 2 other collapsible chairs. 4beach towels.
Also it is pretty quiet at night, they have a noise ordinance at 10pm.
Overall a wonderful place to stay.

We absolutely loved this 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo on the ground floor. The condo was well stocked with everything we needed, including beach chairs, cooler etc.

What's not to love!
The two-bedroom was outfitted with everything a family would need.
It was nicely decorated and clean.
The central air was wonderful and the beds were comfortable.
We loved the location on the oceanfront, plus the green space and pool were enjoyed; especially having young children.
The property manager was so accommodating with a later checkout date; which was greatly appreciated.
Definitely hope to stay here again!

The patio/ lanei view is outstanding, especially in the evening. The pool is right outside the slider/patio door, so if you want that it is unbeatable. You do sacrifice some privacy with the pool so close. While people do go into the beach, it is not a swimming beach, rather a beach to be looked at and walked on. The proximity to the market and restaurants is great, just 5 minutes away. And the unit is thoroughly stocked, especially in the kitchen. Beds are great, bathrooms are great, I would definitely stay here again. Also, super convenient to and from the airport.

The condo is well cared for overlooking the building's pool and the ocean beyond that. The place isn't super fancy, but it has everything you would expect, is clearly well looked after, and is in an excellent location. The beach in front of the property is lovely. Be sure to go beyond what looks like the end of the beach as you are exploring. Lots of great beaches, eating options, and activities within a short drive of the property. Plus it is easy to get to any part of the island from the central location. We would stay there again.

We greatly enjoyed the stunning sunsets, beach walks, Love birds that nest on the side of the building , and the turtles on the beach. The condo was great for a family with children being on the first floor. We learned this trip to make sure the units have AC (this one does) because not all do. We were very thankful for a king sized bed and ample kitchen space. What makes this unit tough is that the pool is directly infront of it and the photos don’t really show how much it blocks the view. We were traveling with an infant and I was often feeding inside and enjoying the view but it felt like I was behind bars. We would go two doors down to my parents spot for a better view.
Now the pool, that was a consistent issue. It had algae blooms constantly and was treated heavily with chemicals. Another issue was the pool fence is so close to the pool no lounge chairs are allowed in and the not only does the gate lock you out but it locks you in and a key must be used to get out, major safety issue (most of the keys didn’t work well either). We ended up using the community pool up the street a few times. Not being able to lounge made it very challenging to enjoy the pool as a family. I believe there were two regular chairs inside the fence.
We would for sure come back if some of the pool issues were addressed and it was more accessible. Having the beach right there was amazing!

We had a very fun and comfortable stay at this ocean front clean and conveniently located condo. Being few feet from the ocean was the best … with gorgeous sunsets every evening. My 14 yr old and I enjoyed being in the ocean while we watched the beautiful Maui sunsets a few feet away from our home away from home. The condo was very clean spacious and comfortable for our family of 3. The Times market and Azeka mall are couple mins away, so we had some good food options without having to drive anywhere.
We enjoyed our week long stay here !!

I stayed at the Hale Kai O Kihei condo for seven nights, eight days with family and had the most perfect time. The condo is in an excellent location in Kihei with grocery stores, restaurants, coffee shops and shopping within walking distance. The location steps away from the beach was incredible. The pool was also directly in front of the lanai and although small, it felt like having our own private pool. The condo itself was in immaculate condition and super clean and organized. We cooked every day and the kitchen was well stocked with every tool and utensil we needed. Also appreciated that beach chairs, umbrellas and other beach gear was available for use. The owners were super responsive when I had an issue with the AC (turns out i was just not using it right). They also let us have a late check out as we had a night flight out of Maui.. All in all had an absolutely wonderful stay and would definitely recommend to my friends and family, and would certainly stay here again!

The 5 of us really enjoyed our stay here. The condo had everything we needed, including a pack and play and a high chair for our 18 month old grandson. There were even some beach toys for him and other guests gave us a few more kid toys! Everyone was very friendly and even though the pool was right outside our lanai, it was never a problem. It was so convenient to have the grocery store only a block away especially when we wanted ice cream at 8:00 pm! The beach was great and pretty empty and we really enjoyed having the lawn right out front, especially with a rambunctious toddler.
We were sorry to have to leave at the end of our week as it was a most excellent holiday at a great condo.

I stayed at Christine's condo for 2 weeks at the beginning of September with my husband and our 16 month old toddler. We really enjoyed the location. Being on the ground floor and so near the pool was great with a little one. After he was asleep for the night, we could comfortably hang out in the pool since the baby monitor signal reached. It was also very easy to wander outside with him onto the grassy area in front of the condo, and make our way down to the beach. The beach was nice and quiet whenever we went down there - there's not much shade in the afternoon but that's pretty typical of many Maui beaches. The condo building is quite small and seemed very quiet, which was nice. Even though the pool is right outside of the unit porch, we were hardly ever disturbed with noise. I enjoyed being in North Kihei, since it meant that we were more central for all activities. It wasn't too far to get into Kahului or upcountry, or Wailea, etc. We found a great little coffee shop just around the corner which we visited every day, Akamai (who grow and roast their beans on Maui!). There are plenty of little restaurants and shops to grab food within a block or two if you don't feel like driving.
The unit itself was quite nice. It definitely suited our needs. Note that the renovated bathroom is actually in the smaller bedroom, while the master bathroom hasn't been renovated. This wasn't too much of an issue, but just something to be aware of. Christine was able to lend us a pack 'n play for our toddler to sleep in, and she had it all set up for us when we arrived, which was nice since our flight didn't arrive until 9pm. The bedrooms have sliding screens instead of doors - this is fine, but doesn't block much sound if you're trying not to wake a baby. The small bedroom where we put the toddler to sleep is right off the front door, so it was hard to come and go from the front door without waking the baby due to sliding screens not blocking much noise. The renovated kitchen was great and was well equipped. There is ample parking in the lot, and we never had an issue getting the spot directly in front of the unit door. There are common laundry facilities in the building, which we used once - note that they take small american change only. There's a change machine but it won't take large bills.
The lanai was great for watching the sunsets every night. I enjoyed the shade in the morning but usually the afternoons were too hot to sit on the lanai in the sun.

This ground level ocean front condo has been recently renovated, except for the main ensuite bathroom. The condo building is well maintained. Located in Kihei and walking distance to a grocery store and plenty of restaurants. Great for families as the pool is right out front the patio and there was plenty of beach stuff to use. The sunsets were spectacular! Easy to get hold of the owner and they were very accommodating. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a couple things to work out upon arrival but things got sorted out right away and we really liked this spot. The grounds are immaculate, place is very comfortable and the location is hard to beat. Lovely grocery store within walking distance. We loved this condo. It had a fantastic view from the main living area and open kitchen. The condo was appointed with everything we needed - towels, beach toys, cooking supplies. The beach was just steps away. We could watch the beautiful sunset from the condo, or walk 15 seconds to enjoy it on the beach. We were also close to great restaurants and shave ice (and an urgent care clinic, which we used - while not the best part of our trip it helped that it was so close!)
