This is one of the nicest condos we have rented over the past 10 years visiting the Big Island. It is well furnished, comfortable, and well-stocked with all the necessities. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook or BBQ a full meal, which is super helpful if you’re planning on eating on a budget. The condo was clean with easy access to beach towels, chairs, boogie boards and even a plethora of snorkel sets. We loved having two double beds in the second bedroom to comfortably fit our family of four. Overall, we would highly recommend this rental and hope to come back again soon.

We enjoyed the villa so much. We liked being in a gated community and it was so close to the shopping centers and the beach. The pool and hot tub were nice and clean.

Don't hesitate, just book! The condo was well stocked, spacious & overall so relaxing! Quick walk to the pool or across the street to the market. The use of the garage was excellent as well to keep the car cool. I will 100% be back! 😀

Just finished a week stay at the condo with a major goal of research on possibly living here part time. Learned that it is not the right community for us with major drawbacks being the heat and the poor quality of the restaurants in Waikoloa (with exception of Roy's and Lava Lava). The shops look better online than they are in reality.
The condo itself is a good choice, particularly for groups of 4+. The positive things: 1) almost anything you might need for a week stay is provided, including beach gear in the garage, 2) ease of check in, parking, gate to community, 3) shops within a block walk, 4) great entertainment set up, 4) quiet area except for leaf blowers most mornings.
Negatives: 1) the patio furniture is not comfortable, we could sit on the high chairs for about 20 minutes max before having to move, 2) the sofa and loveseat need to be replaced. In short, it was hard to get comfortable when spending any significant time in the unit, 3) the temperature control set at 74 degrees is a bit hot. If the fans are going it is just about tolerable for sleeping, but would gladly pay another 100 dollars a week to offset the cost of being able to run the AC at 72 at night.
All in all, solid choice and probably would be fine for younger families, but for us on the 50+ age group it is lacking in creature comfort that fully justify dropping a few thousand for a week stay. Upgraded furntiture and a slightly cooler environment would make it a winner for all.

What a cute apartment/condo. It was just the right size the 2 full size beds in the spare bedroom was perfect for 2 senior women to sleep and having their own bathroom was a dream for me. We've been traveling back to Waikoloa for years and have always used VRBO to book a place. We were very impressed with this unit. The beach gear (umbrellas, chairs, coolers) in the garage was great. The unit was well stocked with towels and bedding. Any issues or questions were promptly addressed by Michelle. Michelle is great and has helped us in prior rentals as well. The lanai BBQ was so convenient. We didn't do too much cooking at the condo but when we did, we had everything we needed. Compared to many of the other condos we've stayed at, this was one of the best. I plan to stay here again if I can. This says I'm from Kihei but I'm actually from Utah.

We had a great time at this condo. The location is perfect - right across the street from the Queen and King shops, restaurants and grocery store as well as an easy 15 minute walk to A-bay. A car is definitely a must on the Big Island but the condo is a 10-15 minute drive to other great beaches, only an hour from the Visitor's Centre at Mauna Kea and a short 30 minutes from Kona airport.
The garage is loaded with beach items including several umbrellas, beach chairs, boogie boards, coolers, toys and more. Check-in and out was easy and communication was good. We would definitely stay here again when we go back to the Big Island.

We stayed here for one week with our baby and teenager. This place was perfect! Right across the street from shops. Quick walk to the beach. The BBQ on the deck was more handy than anything for quick meals. The rooms and decor were lovely. No issues at all. Communication was easy. We hope to be back one day.

We had wonderful stay at this property and was prefect for the three of us. The unit was very clean, beautifully decorated and within walking distance to the shops. We loved that it was in a gated property, very private and quiet. Also, it was a bonus that it had its own garage and equipped with everything we needed to go to the beach. We frequented Anaeho'omalu Bay many times and saw so many turtles resting on the shore. Also, there was a farmer's market on one of the days at the shops across the street. The location is perfect and walking distance to the shops.
Loved the balcony with the barbecue on the balcony, and enjoyed sitting outside in the evening to relax. We didn't use the pool (but it did look very nice) as we are beach people and went to the beach during the day instead. :-) Also, the master bedroom was spacious and a very comfortable bed.
The only issue we had was the front door key fob didn't work properly (it wouldn't lock the door with the code), so we called and they sent someone to bring us a key for the door. We used the key for the rest of the stay and it wasn't a problem. :-)
Overall, we highly recommend this place and look forward to returning and were sad to leave. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

The only negative thing I feel I need to say is that the condo isn't exactly wheelchair accessible so if you are a wheelchair user, it may not be the best. However, we did make it work and still really appreciated the beauty of the condo, the location and the peaceful atmosphere.

The location is perfect. The marketplace across the street is super convenient. We were able to stop there each night and pick up poke, lobster, fresh produce (amazing pineapple), snacks for the next day, etc. there’s also restaurants if cooking isn’t your deal and shops. There are several wonderful beaches within 15 minutes of the condo. It’s easy to get to a lot of the various other towns and beaches on the island too. The furthest we had to drive was 2 hours down to the southern black beach Punalu’u (worth it in my opinion). The condo had everything we needed for the beach (chairs, umbrella, kid toys, towels, cooler, etc.). The kitchen was very well stocked. The view from the balcony was also lovely. It overlooks the Kings Trail and a golf course. We were able to see the sunset and had a cool breeze for breakfast on the balcony. Michele was also very helpful. I had several questions about where to find things both in the condo and on the island and she was quick to respond. All the other residents and visitors were respectful. We had no noise issues or safety concerns.

The moment we walked into Puako, we felt welcomed. The fans and A/C were at a comfortable level and there was Hawaiian music from the TV to welcome us in! The condo is exactly as described and has just about everything that you could desire in the kitchen, bathrooms and garage.
We were disappointed that the bikes in the garage were for the owners only, (they were hanging on the wall to tempt us, so I had to ask the property manager...)
There were only a couple of issue during our stay:
First, there were these little pests called "Sugar Ants". They were on everything that we set on the counters and in the bathroom within minutes! We had to throw away the food that we had just purchased and re-purchase at the store across the street (ABC store in the Queens Marketplace had EVERYTHING we needed!)
I contacted the property manager, Michelle, and she suggested everything be placed in the fridge. The condo had small zip locks and I had brought larger zip locks, so we packed everything up and put into the refrigerator. Michelle also indicated that the condo had been sprayed, but they would bring by poison packs for us to put out. We didn't get them till the night before we left.
I don't do well with bugs, especially the ones that show up on your body... just makes my skin crawl.
Second, the bed in the master bedroom is very high and difficult for someone who is short and has limited mobility to get into (moi). It also makes A LOT of noise when you move.
Michelle was very accommodating and very good with communication.
Overall, except for the above mentioned things, it was an awesome place to stay and a great location.

This property is very nicely furnished, handicap accessible and equipped with a garage that has much beach gear. An outside porch with grill is great for dining. The only hang up I had was, as a handicap accessible property, they wanted to charge an extra rental fee for a shower seat. Normally properties advertised as accessible have a built in seat or offer a portable shower seat. A great two weeks even though I have to wait until next year to race Ironman.

This condo has spoiled us for any other location. From the comfy bed (squeaky, but solid) to the array of beach supplies available to use, we wanted for nothing here. Truly, to have 6+ beach chairs, 5 umbrellas, snorkels, boogie boards, mats and a cooler made our vacation so much better. Kitchen was well stocked (excellent Wok, even a small rice cooker). We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

This condo worked out perfectly for our party of two adults and two 14 year old girls. It was very well stocked, from kitchen to beach gear, with many thoughtful touches and lovely decor. Comfortable beds, full size washer/dryer. Cable TV with streaming options, so we could log onto our own Netflix (and other) accounts. Or just watch using theirs. Nice little lanai with a grill, table/chairs and a chaise lounge. I was initially wary of a 3rd floor unit, but found I actually preferred it to being on the ground floor. The elevator never failed us and we heard no noise from our neighbors. The garage was just a few steps from the condo and had tons of beach gear, from boogie boards to two cruiser bikes to what appeared to be a SUP and kayak. Check the beach umbrellas to make sure they’re intact before heading to the beach. The pool was beautiful although not large and a bit busy in the afternoons, but we still got a lot of use out of it. The entire complex felt very safe, and we were comfortable letting the girls go to the pool and across the street to Queens Marketplace on their own. They had a ball. We cooked most of our meals at the condo. Decided against stocking up at Costco this time, since there were only four of us, and instead went to the grocery store in Waikoloa Village (about 20 minutes away). People were good about mask wearing, in both indoor and some outdoor spaces. Not on the beach, of course. Our favorite outing was the Captain Zodiac Beat the Crowd snorkeling tour from Kona to Kealakekua Bay. We saw pilot whales and dolphins, and arrived at the snorkel spot right when the big tour operators were leaving. It was so much fun to zip along in a zodiac exploring the coastal nooks and crannies. They even supply good quality snorkel gear, including masks with prescription lenses. We didn’t eat out much, but after the zodiac captain recommended Willies Hot Chicken we gave it a try. Delicious and a fun atmosphere. We never felt like the Waikoloa area was overcrowded, probably because we gravitate to the more isolated beaches, or go at non-peak times. But the full impact of the post-COVID travel boom hit home when we arrived at the Kona airport to head home. A massive TSA line wound around outside. We got there 1.5 hours early but should have made it two. Still, no complaints. Honestly, this was our best vacation ever.

We loved our time at the condo. The location is terrific with the Queen and Kings Marketplace across the street. Easy to get to the market for food and souvenir purchases. And close by to A Bay beach (which we did not go to for the beach but had a memorable sunset dinner at Lava Lava). The condo is very comfortable. We grilled on the Lanai and appreciated the use of the boogie boards, beach chairs and umbrellas! We spent our time on the beaches - so didn’t get to fit in any pool time. Maybe next time! (Heads up to all visitors - since June 2021 some beaches now have a parking fee ($10) and per person fee ($5) - it can add up for a family!)

This was our first visit to the BI. We were suppose to visit in June 2020 but was able to roll it over with ease to 2021. Thank you!We loved the condo. It was clean, comfortable and everything we needed for 6 people for 11 days. We all cook so there was everything we needed. Having the BBQ on the Lanai was the best! We also had the rented the condo next to us as there were a total of 12 people so this was fantastic. Having all the shops and stores nearby was very handy. Not knowing the area it was perfect. 20 minutes from the airport and Costco's. 10 minute walk to the beach or you can drive and park which we did as we had lots to carry. Yes the gas station is across the street but was never a issue. This area seemed quiet considering what was around us. If we had a complaint it would be the the chairs on the lanai were uncomfortable. When in the condo we spent 90% of our time out there and having comfortable seating would have been nice. The lounge was the only comfortable seating. Thank you for sharing your home.Will definitely be back

Everything was great about the condo except the heat. The thermostat is set at 74, and you can’t adjust it. My husband and I woke in night sweats, even with the fans on. The temperature was ok in the living and kitchen areas, but the bedrooms were warm. Besides that, it’s a beautiful property, very spacious. They even have beach gear for you to use.
