This was our 2nd time staying in unit #210 at Honokeana Cove in Napili, Lahaina.We stayed twice as long this time and I was ready to move in!The condo itself is exquisitely well equipped from the kitchen supplies, to the ample towels. The furnishings, flooring, bedding and everything about it 5 star.Management was also excellent. Carri went above & beyond to make everything just right.HOWEVER!!! The absolute best part of staying at Honokeana Cove is my ability to swim in the cove twice a day. I am a daily swimmer and it is 100% fabulous! The turtles are so wonderful. What a lovely spot on a quiet cove with excellent snorkeling just steps away. We all loved the vibe of this small complex.
The only thing I would say is that if you are counting on the “futon” for a 7th person to sleep on, it is not really adequate for anyone other than a small child. We were planning to use it for an adult and had to scramble our sleeping plans at the beginning. The on-site manager was able to get us an air mattress to use, which I appreciated.
We would definitely stay here again.

My family spent the week in unit 210 at Honokeana Cove. What an incredible spot. The unit was perfect, with 3 bedrooms, full kitchen and living area. the view from the balcony is incredible, and you are only steps away from the pool and your own private cove. The snorkeling in the cove is as good as it gets, and every afternoon, the giant turtles come in and sun bath on the beach. You see them while snorkeling as well. Incredible! Very close to markets, restaurants and mail attractions in Kaanapali/Lahina. Highly recommend staying here.

We are in love with Honokeana Cove and the condo. It was the perfect, quiet place to relax and enjoy time together with access to so many beautiful beaches, restaurants, and more. This is not a place to be rowdy and loud. It's serene and peaceful. Our children (6,9,11 & almost 13) truly enjoyed the experience and peace too. It truly felt like home away from home. The condo is adorably decorated, and comfortable. We can't wait to go back and stay here again in the future.

There is no other word to describe Honokeana Cove but magical. If you want a beautiful setting, stunning views, friendly people and to see the sea turtles and whales from your chair this is the place. Only 38 units. This is not a busy resort with all the amenities, it is quiet and beauty is the main amenity. The guest actually become friends. Since we found it we have not stayed any place else. We are already planning our next stay.

Beautiful rental property. Cove is gorgeous. We snorkeled a few places during our stay, the cove was among the best. Several sea turtles seem to reside here. Very peaceful and located near many attractions and Old Lahaina. I would highly recommend staying it. We will stay here again if traveling to Maui.

So relaxing, love the small complex feel. This unit is closer to the road than we have stayed in the past and the road noise and exterior lighting made it difficult to sleep. The beds were comfortable but the sheets were rough. We loved it overall. Providing a few additional kitchen and hand towels would be helpful.

The condo was perfect for our family of four with two teenagers. Unfortunately we had a fair amount of rain during our trip to Maui, but being in the cove was a life saver because the kids could still snorkel with sea turtles in between rain drops. The whole complex was very well kept and clean. The condo itself was great. There was plenty of room for all of us. We enjoyed sitting on the patio with coffee in the morning or reading a book in the evening. There is lots of snorkel equipment and beach chairs in the closet (which I didn’t know and had rented prior to our arrival). There is a grocery store, some cute shops, and the most amazing coffee shops just around the corner. The beach is an easy 10 minute walk away. But we preferred to hang out in the cove over all the beaches we visited. If we ever return to Maui, we’ll definitely be staying here again!

This is the second time we have stayed at the Cove and it never disappoints! We absolutely love this property. We stayed in #210, nice unit. The beds were comfortable, however the living room furniture could used an update, just not very comfortable to longe and watch some tv. Surprised there were no tv’s in the other room other than the room with the twin beds, but not a dealbreaker. The Wi-Fi was spotty, might have been weather related or there might be a need for a new router. Lanai is great with great views of the cove, however the chairs can get uncomfortable, maybe pads on the chairs possibly? This unit, the road noise can get annoying at bed time. Kitchen was great, all the utensils you would need. The BBQ’s are fantastic! I tell you, we love this property, it’s a great community feel. So peaceful, we just love it. It’s a hidden gem. Thank you Su and to all that keep this property in pristine, we love it! Of course be able to snorkel and visit the amazing turtles and fish in the cove- this place is a win win, highly recommend!!

We had a wonderful stay, I can’t say enough about how beautiful the setting is at Honokeana Cove! It’s a small, intimate cove where you can watch the waves for hours. And the turtles are wonderful, they come up to sun themselves in the afternoon, we counted as many as 14 on the beach at one time. We watched for them every day. And you’ll see them swimming in and out of the cove all the time. The condo is very comfortable, the beds in particular are excellent. The kitchen is well stocked although we didn’t cook much since there are so many good restaurants to visit. We rented e-bikes for a day and rode them out to the blowhole. The waves were very big that day and we had a great ride along with lunch in Kapalua. I highly recommend that if you enjoy biking. Mahalo Kelly!!

We love Honokeana Cove. We have stayed in various units over the years and unit 210 was wonderful. The complex is small and family friendly which we really like. The cove has wonderful snorkeling and it's an easy walk to restaurants, groceries and other beaches. The road is loud, so bring earplugs, but we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else on Maui!

Saw the property while snorkelling in the cove almost 10 years ago and have wanted to stay there since and it did not disappoint. Great snorkelling on the doorstep seeing green sea turtles every day in the water and basking on the stones later in the day. Apartment was great and our party of 7 fit comfortably. Unit was nice. We took swamp coolers up to the loft as it’s not air conditioned. That worked well. Bed in the front bedroom needs to be replaced soon but everything else was great!

We have visited Napili many times as a couple and sometimes with our children who are now in their 20s and 30s. This time we needed accommodations for 6. This was a wonderful place that fit the 6 of us comfortably. Snorkeling and having a kitchen and grill area are other features we value. The private cove packed with turtles and beautiful fish right outside our door was beyond our expectations. I highly recommend Honokeana Cove.

This older property is well maintained in a pretty setting. The unit is pretty small, smaller than we expected. The kitchen could use some restocking and purging as there were multiples and other items missing… the beds and pillows could use some updating as they were mediocre in comfort. The biggest complaint was the header says AC and you have to read the fine print to realize that only two rooms have AC units.

Lovely location, but this particular condo could do with some updates, as it is quite dated.
The property could also have been cleaner on arrival. We had to ask the cleaning crew to come back in to go over the kitchen and dining area again.
On the positive side, the staff were good with communication and very welcoming. Nice pool area for the kids and we loved watching the turtles on the pebble beach.
Please note, if you're planning to walk to Napili Beach or up to the farmers, there's a good section of road that has no pavement.
We'd consider staying at this complex again, but would probably look for a more updated unit.

I’d say the most amount of turtles to be seen are right out front. Went on a snorkeling tour that took us to “Turtle Island”, which was a joke. It appeared recently remodeled. We were out and about most of the trip, didn’t spend much time in the condo, but it was a nice home base. The communication and management seemed organized and friendly. Cool place!

Absolutely loved our stay and the unit is amazing! The only issue that we had was with the TVs and internet. The internet went out fairly often and the cable in the living room TV would occasionally lose audio and go out entirely. Which was an issue since we were trying to watch a football game. The TV in the smaller room would occasionally lose the picture entirely. The sound would continue playing but the image would be gone. Over all these issues were very small and I still would 1000% recommend this unit and the cove in general. I just wanted to make sure you knew these devices were a bit spotty. Great in all respects! This was our 4th time to stay at Honokeana. The condo is clean, although not new. We love the community feel, the managers the view, the grounds and the turtles!! One minor complaint is road noise, which was especially bad this year, because of construction. But other than that, the location is great with proximity to sand beaches, great snorkeling, the Gazebo and the Kapalua Trail.

We spent 4 days at this magnificent spot in paradise. Of all of the places we stayed during our 2 weeks on the islands, our experience at the Cove was my favorite. The best part was my twice daily swim in the cove. Super user friendly, nothing adverse. I am a daily swimmer and so took advantage of the wide open clean, clear space to get my swim in. The bonus was being able to see all of the fish, coral, and most incredibly, the turtles! So much fun! The water temperature was about 78 to 80 degrees. The condo itself, unit #210 was beautifully decorated and in perfect condition. The Kitchen was well appointed with everything that we could need. Comfortable, clean, quiet, with the easy ability to create privacy. Mostly, we found ourselves desiring to just hang out and relax, read, swim in the cove and be together in peace. We highly recommend unit #210 at Honokeana Cove in Lahaina! Our gratitude goes out to the owners of this unit for creating such a welcoming place to be.

We loved staying at Honokeana Cove! Unit #210 was great for our family of 5 adults/teens. The updated tile floors, kitchen, and comfy beds were very nice. The two downstairs bedrooms have AC, and the loft bedroom is setup as the master suite with a king and en-suite bathroom. No AC in the loft, but we were comfortable sleeping with the ceiling fan and cross breezes from open windows. As an end unit, the lanai is bigger than others and there are more windows in the unit to enjoy the tropical breezes. The beautiful large tree in front of the unit brings welcome shade to the unit in the late afternoon sun. The views from Honokeana Cove can’t be beat, the snorkeling is some of the best on Maui, and the small size of the resort means you can always find a lounge chair near the pool or in the lawn. No need to fight the crowds and reserve lounge chairs at the crack of dawn like you do at large resorts. A few restaurants within walking distance, and several markets and grocery stores within a short drive. We would absolutely stay here again!

You can walk to several restaurants and beaches near by.Downtown Lahaina is about a 20 minute drive with lots to do there.I staid in this condo in January with my family and looked forward to coming back. Manager organizes a weekly meet & greet “Pupu” party that helps create a friendly family atmosphere between first-timers, the many repeat visitors and owners. Unit #210 is Light,bright & airy w/high ceilings. The decor is tropical and comfortable. The loft bedroom is charming w/a "tree house" feel. The Snorkeling in the cove was excellent! We saw 8 turtles- Napili Bay next door has excellent boogey and paddle boarding. We walked to several good restaurants-The Gazebo,Sea House & Kitchen 5315. The staff was very friendly and made us feel right at home. The BBQ's on the cove front were awesome to cook on and the tiki torches they light at sunset make a very beautiful and unforgettable setting. The famed Honolua Bay is a very short drive as well as D.T. Fleming, Kaanapali and Lahaina Town. Napili Market is very close by and had all we needed for our stay.In short We LOVED it!

This is the third time we've stayed at Honokeana. This time we were in Maui to see Ok State play in the Basketball Invitational. We have stayed in the same unit each visit, and as usual, it was comfortable and clean. The staff is friendly and the grounds impeccable. The rooms here are not luxurious, but without a doubt, they have the best view on the west shore and close proximity to The Gazebo, the Sea House and good snorkeling.

The rental is in an outstanding location. The unit was large enough for our family. However, having been to Maui several times, we found the condo unit to be very outdated, not particularly clean and lacking in some amneties. It is really beneficial to have a washer and dryer in the unit with a family and this unit does NOT have them. Also, the complex should install more outdoor BBQ grills for the renters. Most families enjoy grilling and the wait for 3 grills is very frustrating. Since this is an outdoor, water sport destination, it is not at all convenient to supply each guest with just one beach/pool towel for an entire week. Lastly, room service with clean bed, bath and kitchen linens each day should be provided.

We stayed in Unit 210. This was our second time to the Cove. Our experience wasn't as good as the first one due to the location of the condo. We will never stay in one along the road again. It was never quiet. But we will definitely come back, just to a different condo. You just can't beat the location and the snorkeling.

Honokeana Cove is a gorgeous location, and we've been visitors many times. We were very surprised by the poor condition of the condo itself. We had no idea, based on previous experience, that any of the units was in such poor condition. We understand that the condo is for sale, but since it is still being rented, some steps should be taken to improve its appearance and cleanliness. The carpet is old and dreary, and should be cleaned. A new bathroom rug is needed. In use is a tattered piece of the wall-to-wall carpet. This unit should be provided with higher quality towels....some of the towels were so old as to be like sand paper. These are just a few suggestions...I could make many more. Potential renters should be made aware of the condo's condition, and the price should be dropped until it is remodeled.

We had a wonderful stay at Honokeana Cove! The grounds are beautiful, the staff was wonderful. The view from the condo was exceptional and housekeeping does a wonderful job. Unfortunately the unit itself did not match everything else. The sheets were cheap, the appliances were cheap, the glasses, kitchen utensils were old. The shower water knob was broken, the blinds in the bedroom fell apart when closing, the screen door screen was loose. I would recommend the property but not this particular unit.

This picture says it all. Every unit has a stunning view of the cove and Molokai beyond. We loved snorkeling and lying on the chaises watching the surfers and the five resident sea turtles. Honokeana Cove is totally relaxing and the other guests were really friendly. The BBQs are first-class, which my husband really appreciated.

Wow. What a beautiful holiday location. The condo was fantastic. A bit run down and in need of a make over. The cove is brillant for snorkelling and turtle and fish every day. Close to the supermarkets and sandy beach is just 5 mins walk. Management are fantastic and every question answered and helpful. Would definitely like to visit again.

The cove is the best you will find. Excellent snorkeling with lots of fish and turtles. Each unit is separately owned so check the pictures to choose the best one. Our unit #210 was plenty of space, however the unit was run down and outdated. This unit would be amazing with a remodel. The view from the lanai is gorgeous. We will definitely be back, but to a different unit.
