For your convenience and comfort, this air-conditioned unit has an open floor plan with a kitchenette that is equipped with a mini-fridge, 2-burner stovetop, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, dishes, silverware, and cooking utensils. The room has 1 queen-size bed, a pull-out sleeper sofa, and a flat-screen TV with cable. There is also a dining table and 4 chairs. The full bathroom comes with a bathtub & shower. Additionally, this unit has a step-out lanai (balcony) where you can enjoy the beautiful views!

All linens and towels, including beach towels, are provided. You also have easy access to laundry facilities located on the 3rd floor.

Stay connected with our complimentary high-speed wireless internet. If you have a car, parking in the building is available for $35 per day (price is subject to change), payable directly to the parking machine at the garage entrance.

Regarding early check-ins or late checkouts, we're unable to confirm those requests at the moment. If you'd like to ensure you can either check in early or check out late, we'd suggest booking an extra night. In such cases, please reach out to Midway Vacations, and we'll do our best to accommodate your request.

HOW TO GET HERE:
From Honolulu Airport, it's about a 20-minute ride – Prices are around $45 depending on traffic. Follow the signs to the taxi area upon arrival.

CHECKOUT CLEANING:
The cleaning fee includes professional cleaning with sanitization of the unit; professional laundry of linens and towels with high temperature (180F) and restocking of amenities after each departure.
There will be an extra charge if excessive cleaning is necessary. Thank you for your understanding.

STARTER SUPPLIES:
We provide a welcome starter supply kit stocked with - one pack of coffee grounds, coffee filters, toilet paper, paper towel, tissue, can liners, salt & pepper, spray oil, laundry detergent, dish soap, sponge, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, and bar soap.
Please note that this is only a starter supply to make sure you have everything you need upon arrival.

LINENS & TOWELS:
We provide one set of towels (bath towel, hand towel, washcloth, beach towel) per guest. The bed is equipped with a fitted sheet, a flat sheet, and a blanket. Linens for the sleeper sofa are on the sofa mattress, and pillows and a blanket are on the dresser.

LAUNDRY ROOMS:
There is a laundry room on the 3rd floor with coin and credit-card-operated washers and dryers. A single pack of laundry detergent is provided in your starter supply kit.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Travelers who cancel at least 30 days before check-in will get back 100% of the amount they've paid. If they cancel between 14 and 30 days before check-in, they'll get back 50%. Otherwise, they won't get a refund.
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that reimburses for prepaid, non-refundable expenses that may arise due to unforeseen circumstances that could jeopardize your vacation investment and would otherwise incur unplanned expenses as well. Upcoming Projects:
The Pacific Monarch will replace windows in the recreation and sauna rooms (September–October 2024, 2-3 weeks), modernize elevator equipment (September 2024–March 2026, one elevator out of service for 6 months), and install new lobby tile flooring (September–December 2024, 3-4 weeks). All work will occur M-F from 8 AM to 4 PM. Future projects may include fire alarm upgrades, generator re-wiring, and door lock replacements starting in 2025.

Pool Closure:
The Pacific Monarch will be resurfacing the pool starting November 25, with an expected completion date of February 14, 2025. Please note, that the start date is tentative and depends on the progress of the spalling project. The closure period may also be extended if additional time is required for the work. During this time, the pool will be closed to guests, and alternative arrangements may need to be considered. We encourage residents and guests to plan accordingly and stay updated on any announcements regarding the reopening date. We appreciate your patience during these improvements. We enjoyed our stay at this unit. It was clean and made us feel very comfortable. The bed and pillows were comfortable. It’s great to open up the massive windows/sliding glass doors to fully enjoy the ocean, city and mountain views, which are breathtaking! Be prepared for city sounds into the night, but that is all part of staying in the city. The air conditioning and fan were great and the blinds worked well for darkening the room. The little kitchen has enough to work with, including a hot plate for cooking. The rooftop is fantastic! Beautiful views, pool and hot tub, lounging chairs. When Waikiki beach gets too crazy it’s nice to head up to the roof for a quieter and more private retreat. The people at Midway Vacations were great for checking in with us and communicating every step of the way. If we had a question they answered quickly. Very friendly, professional and organized. The front desk staff were also friendly and helpful. We will stay there again.

Parking was a nightmare. We never received a pass to open the garage gate. My wife had to run in every time we pulled up to have the desk open the garage gate. When we called they never answered at the desk to open the garage gate.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Pacific Monarch! The view from the room and the open lanai was such a great feature. The location of this place was ideal, only a few blocks away from the beach, and great food spots. A huge bonus was the rooftop pool, sauna and hot tub! It was used every night! We loved that there was a cooler and chairs (the chairs have been loved) and a very large mini fridge. Can fit lots of stuff in it. The unit had all necessary cleaning items and came well equipped with extra garbage bags/toilet paper/paper towel etc. This is a gem of a place to stay and can’t say enough good things about the overall location and unit!

For me the best features of this unit. The slider opens wide, 10 feet. Makes for a real open-air feeling. Next, this unit has an ocean view filled with activity, also a sparkling city lights view at night. Another feature important to me, the unit faces away from direct sunlight all day. The kitchen is fully equipped the pillows and bed are so nice, the internet and tv service work well. The elevator is fast and the lobby people are the best...

This property was great for what we needed. The building itself is a little dated but the week we were there they were doing numerous updates so different facilities including the water was inaccessible or switched off. The lifts can take abit of time to turn up and it can get pretty noisy outside at night but that’s just Waikiki. Great view of the ocean and the mountains too, would stay again.

We loved our stay here. Very central and close to everything in Waikiki. The beach chairs and cooler were wonderful to have to bring down to the beach. This place is much closer than I had anticipated to the beach which was fabulous. Wonderful views of the ocean. The rooftop pool area also offers amazing views as well. Only downfall was the room was a bit dated and an upgraded coffee maker would be nice but other than that it was a fabulous stay and I would recommend this spot for 2 people in Waikiki ! Was a great week here!

Me and my wife visited Hawaii for the first time and I chose the Pacific Monarch condo. The condo looked exactly like the picture in Vrbo. From the balcony i looked to my left and saw the beautiful wakiki beach. I looked to the right and saw majestic mountains. It was great. I was looking for the stove and was disappointed when I did not see it. However, after looking harder I found the portable stove-top on top of the kitchen cabinet. I worked great! No more disappointment. There was a microwave, towels, beach chairs with backpack, coffee, cable tv, nice balcony on the 22nd floor (even the pigeons came up to visit us), moveable shower head in bathroom, refrigerator, toaster - I tell you the truth, it was like being at home. And we were able to do some food shopping at the grocery store and cook and save money a few days. There even have Walmarts here, which we went to. The Walmarts had above-ground parking for free while you shopped. The condo was just the right size for 2 people. The only negative was you could here street noise from below. It was amazing how the echo traveled up. But a nice remedy for that was simply to close our balcony windows and turn on the air-conditioner, which worked marvelously by the way. Hey, anybody that gives this place a bad review is lying. It was my first and bestest trip to Hawaii !

This property was in the perfect location. you are right next to the beach (literally a 3 minute walk!!) You also are next to so many fantastic restaurants that are all a must try. you have abc stores near the carry practically anything you need. The property was clean, had everything you need, provided plenty of towels. and don’t get me started about the view!! every morning just taking pictures of the amazing view. if you rent here, you MUST visit the roof to see the view as well, it is amazing. would 100% stay here again.

We stayed at the Pacific Monarch. The location was perfect, not right on the beach but just a few blocks away. There were little stores as well as bigger shopping centers and many places to eat within walking distance. For tours, we were picked up a block away, and we took the public bus from right in front of the building to several different locations. This was a studio apartment with a bed, sofa bed, dining table, dresser, closet, and everything you could possibly need in a kitchen without a stove/oven. I even made a smoothie one day with the blender in the cabinet. Cleaning supplies were all there for us to use as it was a 2 week stay. Laundry facilities were available in the building. The view was incredible. We enjoyed using the rooftop hot tub and swimming pool. Parking was available for a fee which we used the last two days of our stay. After checkout, we used the Hospitality Lounge on the roof as our flight didn't leave until 7pm. The only complaint we had was the street noise including voices and sirens, but you get that in any city. We just live in the country so aren't used to it. For all that was here, there was no comparison to what we could get at a hotel for that price. I'm not even sure we could find a room for this rate. Thank you for making our vacation great!

AC running constantly n room was hot. Toilet running on its own. No housekeeping, 3 towels and one shampoo and soap for 3peeps for 5 days. Sheets we’re dirty, TV didn’t work, no patio, no beach view, old falling apart furniture, uncomfortable bed. Bought sheets and towels and soap and ended up staying elsewhere as room was too hot and too dirty with filthy baseboards

What a perfect location for beach, food and shopping!!! We enjoyed our stay and view from our balcony very much. As soon as we are in the unit, we opened up all the balcony doors and enjoyed nice breeze!! Property manager was very easy to reach and great with communications! Bathroom needs some deep cleaning. Broom needs to be updated and need a dust pan. Clothing rack to dry off our swimsuit would’ve been nice. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Great location, great view, nice and clean. Two short blocks to Waikiki Beach and in the middle of restaurants and stores. The only reason I gave it four stars is because the bed was only a full-size and it was very soft. But it had what we needed and we were very comfortable there for two weeks

We were looking for an economical rent near the beach. We were not surprised that this rental was a basic room with no frills. What we really appreciated was that there was plenty of hot water for showeres...and it was hot immediately. The bed slept great and the pillows were good. The air conditioner struggled a little in the heat is the day, (we were out and playing and at the beach anyway) but provided cool sleeping throughout the night. The ocean view was great, the pool and building was well managed and maintained. An easy well located place to stay.

I absolutely loved this little place but had to take off some stars for what I consider to be big issues. First let me say, the view is amazing. Checking in was easy. Location is perfection. I had little to no “outside” noise. Opening the doors and enjoying the breeze all and views was my favorite and you are right above the best spam musubi place in Waikiki. Fix the following three issues and this place is by far the BEST place to stay. How did no one comment or review on the following?!?! 1) the hardest bed and pillows I have ever slept on. I kept waking up the first two days until I adjusted and since I really only needed a place to sleep as I was out all day- this sucked! If you like a firm mattress, you will love it. 2) the air conditioner was loud and rattled in the wall. It would turn on and be quiet, then a death rattle, then the water would run out the hose from condensation outside. This also made uninterrupted sleep challenging. 3) and the one that really bothered me… no second lock on the door. As a solo female traveler, a door with just a key pad and no way to stop someone from entering when I’m sleeping, was nerve wracking. If anyone watched me enter my code they could have easily come in while i was sleeping. Add a chain please!

Such a lovely, convenient spot near restaurants and stunning Waikiki. Comfortable lodging and even the shampoos left behind smelled great! We had an issue with the AC during our stay and it was fixed within hours!! Can’t wait to go back.
