Enjoy unobstructed views of Diamond Head, Kapiolani Park, the Honolulu Zoo, Waikiki Beach and the ocean beyond. Our building is conveniently located at one end of Waikiki. From our studio apartment on the 7th floor, you can see the pink flamingos of Honolulu Zoo, and hear the howling monkeys and early morning roar of the lions. The studio is comfortably furnished with a dining table, 4 chairs, a queen size bed, a dresser and a sofa that opens into a twin bed. The unit also includes a 36” flat screen tv, coffee maker, microwave oven, full size refrigerator, and a two burner electric stove. There is also free wifi internet. We also have a Starbucks a few doors away on Kalakaua Avenue where you can also stroll into the heart of Waikiki with its myriad cafes, restaurants and shops. One of our personal favorites, a block away, is Wolfgang Puck Express where you can grab a wonderful, wood-fired, pizza, a variety of salads, and excellent roast chicken at reasonable prices.

The location is excellent and the views from the studio are amazing. The place has a friendly staff and well maintained. Overall experience was good.

The property was good. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, lifts were beneficial as it was on the 7th floor. Great view of the ocean. On the downside, it was showing its age and in need of some basic maintenance. Location was excellent - within 200m from the beach, restaurants & shops. It was busy day & night. PS.a decent broom & dust pan would have been good

The view was fantastic! The location was great, if you get a trolley ticket, it's at one end of Waikiki, so getting to the other end is a walk. As for the room, my husband and I are in our 50's and require a soft bed, we did not sleep well. It was very hot as we slept and had to buy a fan. I really hope this stays in room for other guest. I'm not sure if it was normal, because the AC was worked on the day before we left and so the room felt cooler. This was not communicated with us. One of the main reasons I stayed in this room was the stove, thought we could save some money by cooking breakfast, only one burner works so verify difficult to cook more than one item. The breaker blew when cooking and the smoke alarm went off because its right above the burner. I had to wash dishes with hand soap. Beware you have to buy bags, so make sure you bring your own, I left some paper bags but I'm sure they won't stay, also there is a cooler, beach chairs, beach towels provided so less things you have to pack. One of the other reasons I booked this VRBO was it states 25 dollar taxi ride from airport to Hotel, I was told this was from hotel to airport only, Also Not true. All in all it was a good stay, but I dont think I would stay again.

2nd time I’ve stayed in this location and it was as good as the first, location is perfect with wonderful morning views. Also great location for getting about with most places within walking distance or short bus journey

First the good. . . The view from the lanai is spectacular, from sunrise over Diamond Head to the sun sinking into the Pacific. And you don’t have to look at other hotels, just the zoo, park, Diamond Head and beach. Location is perfect, one block off the beach and walking distance to everything you might need. Then the price is very good. Other properties in the area are double. Now the bad. The unit is in bad shape and probably never renovated since it was built. The ad photos are deceptive but accurate. My wife complained about the unit not being clean the entire stay. My biggest complaint was no cable TV. We tried streaming but the wifi speeds are so slow the buffering was maddening. I ran a speed test on my iphone and the Mbps rate was about one tenth my internet back home. If you like spectacular views while sitting on your lanai and saving money this is the unit for you. If you like nice, newer accommodations, this isn’t for you. Even the ice trays in the freezer had holes in them. Oh, and the hotel staff at the desk were wonderful. Mahalo

This rental is in an ideal location for a holiday. It is located across from the Honolulu Zoo and just steps away from the beach. We have stayed here before and just love the location.

Excellent location and views. The unit is clean, just like the photos and the location and affordability are real winners. Some renovations are due but overall we'd definitely recommend staying here. Oh and the bed was comfortably the best!

I thought I was getting a great deal on a clean and comfortable condo. The unit is in the perfect spot in Waikiki where the crowds aren’t as bad, but it is right around the corner from everything. That was the single nice thing about this unit. It was dingy, with paint peeling off the walls and cabinets, stained bedding (looked like makeup and blood) and the cabinetry was missing chunks out of it, the bed was extremely uncomfortable and squeaky. The door did not latch when you shut it unless you stood there and pulled hard/ twisted the handle several times, it appeared to close but if you pushed on lightly, it would pop right open. I woke up my first morning there and noticed orange water all over the floor below the fridge, and in between the fridge and the Tv. I opened the fridge thinking maybe something had spilled only to discover that the entire inside bottom seal area of the fridge was rusted and there was a very active leak dripping onto it and onto the floor. I wiped it up and immediately messaged the host. They responded promptly and said they would have someone come to look at it. Later the host messaged me to inform me that they needed to replace the fridge and hoped to do it during my stay. They also stated that they provided rags to wipe up the leak so I would not stain their towels. I had booked the unit for another two days but chose to leave early and stay elsewhere after nothing had been done to solve the issue more than 24 hours later. I felt unsafe taking my shoes off in this unit and did not feel comfortable with staying somewhere with rusty water all over the floor. I’m highly disappointed and feel that I wasted my time and money staying here rather than staying somewhere actually decent.

Spent almost 3 weeks in this property and it was fantastic, Breakfast or Evening meals on the Lanai watching Sunrise & Sunset were one of the many highlights. Already planning my next trip to Hawaii and this location

Excellent location in Waikiki, with head-on views of Diamond Head, the Zoo, and the start of Kapiolani Park, with even an ocean view to the side! Great balcony to sit, especially with a cup o’ Joe to start the day with a sunrise over Diamond head, or end the day with a beer (or glass of vino) to watch the evening lights. Lots of windows! The unit itself is serviceable — smaller than the wide-angled photo depicts; older fixtures and furnishings, but totally decent for short stays. And, did I mention the views?! Smashing!! The unit abuts the elevators, but there was no noise issues whatsoever; ditto for the downstairs nightclub, either. The lobby boasted friendly Aloha service, as well! Check-in was fast. Located at the eastern edge of Waikiki, it’s convenient to everything, especially if you enjoy walks/runs in the park! We didn’t use the small kitchen, but it’s not for full meals. (And, too, it was a very convenient drive for my family to pick us up!) Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Mahalo nui loa…!! :D

I was concerned about some of the previous reviews, so I contacted the property manager before we arrived to find out if problems mentioned had been taken care of. They had. The futon that had been described as "falling apart" had been replaced. The room was well-supplied, and the property management was excellent in their responsiveness. I didn't notice the street noise that was mentioned in other reviews. The location was perfect. Since it was in the center of everything, parking would have been an issue had we not paid for a reserved spot. I definitely recommend that if you have a car, unless you're willing to park some distance away and walk to the hotel when you return at night. Reviews mention an old building. Peeling paint doesn't bother me, but if it bothers you you might want to stay somewhere else. I would definitely stay here again. Also, I left my sandals, and they were great about boxing them up and shipping to me. Thank you!

We didn't rent a car so this location was perfect for us! Close to everything. The bus system is great. Loved the balcony and the view of the zoo. Street noise is loud on the weekends but ear plugs help! We will go back!

Everything was well except the management only provided one roll of toilet paper. When I went to management to get more they did do so but commented that we should buy consummables at the ABC store next door. I do expect management to provide plenty of TP. Other than that small negative everything was great

We really liked this location. It's a 2 minute walk to the beach and the street with all the stores on it. I highly recommend getting a parking pass, as side parking is not really available. I have a couple small complaints. 1st is the sliding door. It doesn't seal all the way so it was like sleeping with a window open and seeing as it's right next to the beach and restaurants, you hear music, people talking and cars all night. So I'd suggest bringing a sound machine. 2nd there was only half a roll of toilet paper when we arrived, so we had to pick up some more. 3rd the pull out couch isn't really a pull out couch. It has a cover over it because the faux leather is peeling all over the place so we didn't really feel comfortable taking that off to pull out the bed. Didn't use the kitchen amenities so no comments on that. Overall though, we'd definitely stay here again.

The location was great, views were spectacular and close to beach, stores, restaurants and etc. Now on to the room; the bed was very uncomfortable, pillows need to be replaced. The bed frame was missing crucial hardware that made the legs on one side of the bed turn outward (eventually the bed will collapse). There is a two burner cooktop, only one gets hot enough to cook with. The kitchen cabinet has a hole in the toekick with exposed nails. The bathroom ceiling needs work(concerned about asbestos), most likely because there is no exhaust fan in the bathroom. The water pressure was terrible as well. The couch should be replaced and so do the cushions on the dining chairs. The air conditioner worked well, they had decent pots, pans, and kitchenware. The staff at the front desk are kind and helpful. But hey, you aren't spending the whole day in the condo and if budget vs accommodation is your thing, then this unit would be just fine for you.

The condo was clean with plenty of towels. The furniture was a little dated but if you care about that you are spending too much time inside! The view from the lanai was amazing and you can see the flamingos at the zoo from it! We ate breakfast out there and watch Waikiki come alive. Very short walk to the beach! If we ever get the chance to go back to Waikiki we will stay at the Waikiki Grand again!

This is the second time I stayed in this unit in the Waikiki Grand. The location and view cannot be matched! Well, maybe they can at five times the price. Seriously, for a comfortable-- and affordable-- vacation, I highly recommend this studio!

The view is stunning. It’s awesome to wake up to Diamond Head everyday. Lower your expectation on furnishing, if you’re one of those that expect hotel furnishing. For the amount I paid for this accommodation, I’m satisfied. I definitely will miss the view and how close this place is to the beach. The property management team is also very responsive. Also minor issue is the traffic noise from the street, and a homeless encampment across the street in the park. They do get loud at some ungodly hour like 3am. I recommend staying in this VRBO.

Not the best experience the place was dated, noisy both from the street and the pipes in the walls. Despite that much of it seemed dated and old it at least appeared clean, until we found brown stains on the sheets

June 2021
We were very pleased with the view and location. It was nice to not have another building to look at and you could see the ocean with ease. There are plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. The park across the street made for quite morning walks. The beach across from the park was a little rocky in spots so bring water shoes. The only thing to consider if you plan to rent a car, is the parking garage is very tight.
