We loved the house and the quietness/peacefulness of the location. Although we did a lot of fun site seeing including tubing and snorkeling, at the end of the day when we asked everyone what was your favorite part of the day, my two grand boys aged 8 and 10 always said the pool. Beds were comfy, kitchen well stocked, Gary, the caretaker, responded immediately to any request that we made and he even brought us many mangoes and fresh marlin that his friend had just caught. It was the best fish we ate on the island! You will not be disappointed if you chose to stay here but it is far away from Princeville. If you want to see a lot of stuff on that side of the island, you will be driving far. However, we fell in love with the little town of Hanapepe that has great restaurants, delicious cookies and wonderful art stores. Not your typcial touristy stuff. Very special! One improvement we would suggest is better lighting in the master bedroom. Otherwise, everything was perfect. Thanks so much Michele and Gary for a lovely stay and being so responsive! Laurie

The house is fantastic, the views are amazing. The location is very quiet. I would offer two suggestions, a better bed in the master bedroom, bed was way too hard and my wife and I woke each morning with back pain and swap out the cushions on the outdoor wood furniture with more comfortable cushions.

The house was perfect and looked exactly as it did in the pictures from VRBO. The grounds keeper was amazing and the maid cleaning service was immaculately done. Our stay there will forever be one of our fondest memories. We were so grateful to have this experience and wept joyful tears.

This property was perfect for our family. The west side is chill-exactly what we were looking for. Thank you!

I do not say this lightly, because we have stayed in several VRBO properties and this one was absolutely the best. We adored our stay and this house has everything you need. An amazing view, beautiful grounds, pool/spa that rival any resort and plenty of space for everyone. Even though we went on several excursions on this amazing island, my 2 teenage boys repeatedly said their favorite activity was hanging out at the pool. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to prepare meals and we made use of the barbecue as well. Sometimes you stay in a house and the kitchen is really minimally supplied and it is hard to cook anything-that is not the case with this home, it has plenty of pots/pans, utensils and even spices in the cabinet. We also really liked the Waimea area and ate supper there several times. We found the location perfect and driving to activities was not a bother at all. If you are taking any of the Na Pali coast boat tours, you are less than 10 min away. Visiting Waimea Canyon (not to be missed) is only a few minutes away as well. I recommend visiting Salt Pond beach too-only about 15 min away and has a protected area that is perfect for swimming. We also need to sing the praises of Gary, the on-site caretaker who lives in the other house on the property. He was so nice and welcoming and provided an endless supply of mangos and bananas that we throughly enjoyed. We were sad to leave this Paradise and hope to return again! We completely recommend this property without hesitation.

The setting of this property is spectacular, perched on the waters edge with amazing views, picturesque sunsets and lush surroundings. The home is spacious, well appointed and spotless. Once you unpack there is no need to ever leave as there is a sparkling pool with a hot tub, dry sauna, putting green, fire pit, bbq and comfortable loungers. Inside, the oversized living room, king dining table and wooden library/pub provide festive areas to escape the sun and heat. The miles of uninterrupted night sky took our breath away for viewing the planets and stars. We shopped at specialty markets, fruit stands, bakeries, chocolate factories, coffee plantations and even a fisherman’s catch of the day. Several meals were had at local restaurants in Waimea. We would definitely return as this non resort - non tourist style of vacation definitely is the way to enjoy Hawaii to its fullest. A shout out to Gary, the property caretaker, who was so accommodating with the check in, providing fruit from the property including a coconut husking demo and available to handle repairs as needed. While this VRBO exceeded our expectations, it may be time for the owner to update amenities such as sheets, towels, plates, silverware, glassware, pots and pans to a current and fresh style. And move to a preventative maintenance plan for the HVAC. Thank you for allowing us to have a most memorable stay in the islands.

This home is stunning. And very well laid out. Our family so enjoyed our stay. It is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sun and water during the day and the incredible sky at night. There is so much to do in Kauai and our family did a lot of hiking, snorkeling, diving (the harbor was a very short distance away), and overall exploring the island but we all looked forward to returning to this exquisite home or simply spending the entire day there. The kitchen is well equipped and there are restaurants not far away. Also the salt pond beach was fun and close for a swim. This place is my favorite place that I’ve stayed in in Kauai and our family would love to come back here. A true paradise! G. Martin

Upon arriving at the property we had some issues with some items and had things not been dealt with in a professional manner my review would be entirely different, however, as soon as I contacted Michelle and informed her of the issues, she had people on it immediately, and made sure things were set right. Any place can have issues from time to time but it is how things are handled that truly matters and she handled things very well. As for the property itself it is a very large house with a very large private secluded yard right on the ocean. The pool and hot tub make a great addition to the large well maintained yard. The house is nicely appointed and spacious, it is not a new home but has been maintained quite well, a few small items could be addressed or touched up but nothing major or that affected our overall stay. When your in Hawaii at least for us we tend to spend as much time on the lanai as possible and being able to sit and look out at the ocean and see the odd whale jumping was quite enjoyable. As for the location it is secluded, and very quite, so if thats what you are looking for it is perfect, we did not see one person walk by on the beach in front of the house while we were there, and given the property landscaping and location you don't even hear vehicles on the road. The yard's landscaping was lush and beautiful. We enjoyed the property and location, and from getting the booking completed to dealing with any issues or questions Michelle was very good to deal with. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to someone else. Mahalo

Everything was as expected. We were 4 adults and 2 children, ages 1 & 3. Swam in pool daily, enjoyed provided yard games, sand buckets, shovels, etc. -had to put some items away that were too breakable & tempting for children; place was beautiful inside and out. We were thoroughly pleased and happy to have a place the kids could enjoy as our home base. We got our groceries and fresh fruit nearby for breakfast and lunch, but ate our dinners out. The only negative would be that it was a bit far to visit the north side of the island, but we enjoyed exploring the south and east. Lovely, lovely place. Thank-you.

The property is stunning. Pictures cannot even begin to do it justice. First, location. The pool/hot tub area is right on the seawall, which was great for listening to the waves crash against the shore while relaxing outside. There’s a beautiful white sandy beach just up the road that was perfect for morning runs and also nice sand in front of the property for walks along the surf. The quiet west side of the island also happens to be the dry side, so there were only brief passing showers when it was clearly raining more in the north. The west side was also close to all the activities we wanted (Waimea Canyon hike, Nā Pali Coast Holo Holo catamaran charter, helicopter tour that you really don’t want to miss). Restaurants for dinner are only a short drive away. Next, the house. We were blown away. Attention to detail is obvious everywhere; they spared no expense. With high-quality construction, ocean views from every room that mattered (all bedrooms, great room, kitchen, lanai, and library), and so many toys we couldn’t even begin to use them all, it was absolutely perfect. The kitchen has two ginormous Sub-Zero built-ins (identically sized refrigerator and freezer) and any kitchen gear imaginable including cool little built-in gadgets like the coffee maker and blender. Finally, the people. Michelle (the owner) was very responsive and accommodating, even offering things to make our stay more enjoyable so we wouldn’t have to ask. Gary (the property manager) was incredibly helpful with recommendations – monk seals are cute but don’t try to pet them, had the AC and lights on when we arrived after dark, kept the pool sparkling, and gave us so many mangoes every day that we could barely keep up (mango margaritas helped with that). Anyhow, the property is advertised as “Hawaiian Paradise Estate.” This is not overstated. The house is a 6000-sq. ft. mansion, the grounds are pristine, had we not wanted to see the rest of the island, we never would have left. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing ten days at this property. The location was fantastic, being on the beach was a big reason we chose this home. Gorgeous sunsets and sunrises. We could see whales from the yard and even had a monk seal sunnng himself in front of the place one afternoon! It is in a very quiet part of the island, away from the more populated areas. The pool is in great condition, very clean and well maintained. The home is beyond spacious. We took advantage of the laundry room - were able to pack less and wash up mid-week. The beds were extremely comfortable. Ocean views from every bedroom. SO much storage to use for your things. The kitchen was great- ice drawer in freezer so didn’t have to buy ice. Great appliances and adequate cookware. Secluded, gated home. Would absolutely stay here again

We loved this house and it was great for our family vacation. We enjoyed the beach, pool, and the beautiful home. In addition to the owner, the caretaker and housekeeper were especially helpful and made our trip easy. We very much appreciate their help in making lemonade out of lemons for us! Thank you!

We brought our whole family--12 people ages 2 to 61--and rented this home and Michelle's other property next door (#328780) and had one of the best weeks of our lives! When we were home, we spent most of our time in the pool, on the beach, and in the barbecue room. The rest of the time, we explored the non-touristy west side of the island (including JoJo's Shave Ice--don't miss it!!!). Both of the homes were beautiful, well-equipped, and clean, and the landscaping made us feel like we were at our own private resort. Steve, the resident property manager, was so responsive and took care of everything we needed (and he's a really nice guy!), The only thing we didn't like about staying in these homes was leaving at the end of the week. Thanks, Michelle!

Another fantastic vacation in Paradise. Our return trip, along with friends, to this beautiful home and Island did not disappoint. Ten days of fun and relaxation. The home has many upgrades since our last visit a couple of years ago all of which added to the welcome back feel of the property. The caretaker made us feel at home and had everything ready for us when we arrived, including fresh fruit and flowers from the grounds. We are hoping to visit again next year as we always enjoy Kauai and this house!

January 2012
The home is well maintained and accurately portrayed on VRBO. On-site caretaker who is very helpful, pleasant and available a real plus and the owner is responsive and helpful as well. We stayed as a family of 4 and there was plenty of room to spare. The home is spacious, open, with excellent views right on the water. While easy to get to from the main road, it is very private and secluded. Larger tourist areas (like Poipu) are a short drive. On this vacation we stayed on the east side of the island for a few days of activities in that area (North and East) before spending the bulk of our time on the island in Kekaha (which has the finest climate in the winter on Kauai) at this lovely home. It is the type of place you don't want to leave. A real gem.

We spent a wonderful two weeks in this beautiful home, and can't wait to go back. The location was great for walking the beach and playing in the surf, sightseeing around the island, enjoying the nearby small towns, and watching whales while hanging around the pool! The house is beautiful, spacious, and very comfortable. The yard is large and well maintained, and the on-site caretaker was extremely helpful. We give this Hawaiian Paradise our highest recommendation!

October 2011
This is a 5-star home, inside and out. The web pictures, while beautiful, do not do this home justice. This home is very quiet, very peaceful, very secure and very private. The only sounds you will hear are those of the ocean waves and the singing birds. This is an oceanfront property, and the ocean views are priceless. Caretaker Neil, who lives on the property, has an exhaustive knowledge of the island and will share with you whatever you want to know. Just ask him, he is a great guy. Neil will be very respectful of your time and your privacy. Additionally, the neighbors (there are very few) are extremely quiet and respectful as well. This was our sixth time in Hawaii. It was our most wonderful vacation of all. If you seek restful relaxation from the hustle, bustle and traffic of all the Kauai tourist areas, this is the home for you. We came here to get away for our 35th wedding anniversary. This is the 4th home we have rented in the South Pacific. It is by far the nicest, and we would not hesitate in coming back. Don’t hesitate to contact us through the owners should you have further questions.

My wife and I spent a lovely 10 days in this fabulous estate. We spent our days relaxing by the pool and our evenings enjoying dinners in the barbeque room and the beautiful sunsets. The house has all the amenities one could expect and it is very comfortable and homey. The on site caretaker was helpful, friendly and answered all of our questions as well as recommending things to do on the island. We look forward to our next visit with great anticipation.

A friend and I stayed at this wonderful home for a week. We found it to be luxurious, but also felt very at home. It possesses every amenity you require. We had a tremendous time, swimming in the ocean or just lazing by the pool. We also found it convenient to visit Waimea Canyon and other interesting sites from this location. We can't wait to return!

My husband and I stayed in this incredible beachfront home for our honeymoon. The house was fantastic with panoramic ocean views and large, spacious rooms. The decor made it feel like a tropical oasis. We spent the majority of our time sunning on the patio and dipping in the swimming pool and jacuzzi. All in all, it was the perfect destination for a romantic getaway and I would highly recommend it!!
