Kona is Puiwa! The beautiful condo was a perfect location to launch our adventures. It had all the amenities we needed! 2 bedrooms with king beds and attached bathrooms were perfect for 2 couples. A gorgeous upgraded kitchen. Beach chairs and umbrellas for lazy days on Kona’s amazing beaches! Sunsets on the lanai were incredible. The location allowed us easy access to Volcanoes National Park as well as other parts of the island. Totally recommend this condo…5 Stars!

This lovely vacation home was exactly what we hoped for. Amazing kitchen that was fully stocked with spices and stables like sauces, sugar, flour... Excellent appliances, juicer, blender etc. We used the grill at the common area which was clean and easy. The bathrooms were lovely, lots of towels and amenities. Lots of books, beach chairs etc. Great location! Easy walk to shops, beach, Marriott, Hilton. Looking forward to a return trip.

As a Grandma and Grandpa, we took our 17 year old granddaughter and her friend to the big island for a beach vacation. The condo proved to be in an excellent location for them to explore many popular and other more remote beaches along the coast! A new beach every day. The condo itself is beautiful. Amazing attention to detail in every aspect.

Great location and had enough room for the family. Very comfortable place, allows you to feel relaxed and very easy to get the flow of things. Beautiful area with lots of sunshine, and beaches on this side of the island. We used it as a homebase to explore the rest of the island.

We completely enjoyed our stay in this gem of a condo! Everything was amazing, from the easy communication with Dorothy before and during our stay. The unit was gorgeous inside and out, in a great location, and the complex was quiet. The inside had been recently updated and very nicely done. We were welcomed with some snacks and a nice bottle of wine, and a note welcoming us into the home. It was so nice to brew a cup of coffee in the fantastically furnished kitchen, then sit on the lanai and just enjoy. We definitely recommend staying her and thank Dorothy for the unit and for being an excellent host!

What an awesome condo! It had everything! Perfect location for exploring the Kohala coast. We had the best family getaway after a long snowy winter in Alaska. Every beach we explored was great and it was so nice coming “home” to our tropical condo to enjoy the sunsets on the amazing lanai!

Dorothy’s condo is gorgeous and comfortable. She communicated directly through email and made herself available for any questions. Everything was well stocked from the towels (lots of bathroom AND beach towels) to kitchen supplies (we made a lot of our own meals at the condo) to board games (my daughter loves Scrabble so it was nice to get a quick game in when we had a minute). The pool and hot tub were beautiful and we went in at some point every day. They were almost always empty! It was a perfect size for two couples (my parents came with us) and two kids (they slept on the pull out couch). I would say the most ideal stay would include a family or two couples. Otherwise, this is a great location to explore the Kona side of the island. We spent time heading south and north, as well as exploring the coast locally. Overall, a great stay and we hope to come back!!

Wow...10 stars out of 5! I've rented a lot of units over the past few years, but A-202 takes the cake! Excellent communication from Day 1 through checkout. Myself and my guests loved our stay in this amazing unit. So many features really added to our enjoyment during our stay. We enjoyed French Press Kona coffee every morning on the lanai, and Mai Tai's in the evening using the juice press. The kitchen in A-202 rivals a professional kitchen...we made many homemade meals during our visit.
One minor issue with the A/C unit (operator error/jet lag) but was quickly resolved.
Overall, an amazing vacation, and we are so glad we had the pleasure of staying in A-202!

This was by far the nicest condo I've stayed in in 30 years of coming to Waikoloa. Everything was so homey and comfortable. The decor and appointments are lovely, everything you could possibly need and the kitchen was mind-blowing. Every appliance and pot and dish imaginable. A drawer full of spices and the fridge full of condiments. Now I'm so spoilied, I can't imagine staying any where else.

A202was exactly as advertised. It had been beautifully remodeled. Very tasteful. We enjoyed spending lots of time on the lanai with our maitais. We listened to music from the nightly luaus at the Hilton across the street. It is a short walk to the Kings and Queens shops and restaurants.

We would absolutely stay here again! This was THE best stocked/equipped rental we have ever stayed in. Lots of beach toys (for adults and kids), lots of towels, all the kitchen stuff, even generous cleaning supplies. Dorothy has shared her home away from home and is very generous about it. Beds are comfy, view is amazing, kitchen is easy to cook in and clean up. We had a couple snafus with the A/C but they were quickly resolved. Excellent Location - walk to the beach, peak-a-boo ocean view, walk to shops/restaurants (Kings and Queens Shopping center). Don't hesitate to book, you won't regret it!

Just recently stayed at Dorothy's condo in Waikoloa and it was one of the best VRBO experiences we have ever had. It was fully stocked with everything you would need for a comfy vacation including any cooking supply you would need (we ate a lot of meals at the condo), beach gear including snorkeling and boogie boards, and a convenient parking spot literally right in front of the unit. There is also a washer and dryer which made it easy to pack light. The location is perfect. A few blocks from the beach, a few blocks from the Hilton or Marriott and a few blocks from the Kings and Queens shopping areas with lots of restaurants. We walked to everything in the resort. The unit is super clean and decorated with a fun Hawaiian flair. Overall, 5-star stay and highly recommend to anyone looking to stay on the Big Island.

This property is just plain amazing. It had everything. Beach equipment, plenty of towels, more kitchen stuff then we have at home, quality art and decor that really captures the island vacation feel, and easy access A-Bay, shopping and more. This was by far the best VRBO we have ever spent time at. Everything you could possibly need to cook with is there. The beach chairs, noodles, boogie boards & cooler were used everyday & greatly appreciated. It is walking distance to restaurants, ocean beaches & shopping. We will stay here again for sure!

The property is just gorgeous and immaculate. There is everything u would need in terms to make ur stay perfect and comfortable. We were in awe of the decor and the beauty of the condo. The location is very convenient to restaurants and stores. Cannot recommend this place enough! U will not be disappointed and this is coming from someone who travels often. In fact I travel to the islands yearly, even during Covid and I am super picky about everything. :)

Well-equipped and spacious condo apartment. Pool is fine, though only 3.5 feet deep at all points and not cool/refreshing. Local ocean access is a pain to get to and there are VERY jagged lava rocks which are shockingly permitted to exist. There aren't even warning signs!! Overall a great option.

My daughter and I and two grandsons had the BEST TIME EVER in A202. This condo is not only gorgeous and completely updated, but it is also fully equipped. It has beach towels, pool noodles, beach chairs and snorkels, and a washer and dryer. The soap is right there and included as are any cleaning supplies you might need. Don't worry about stocking up on paper towels or toilet paper. That has all been taken care of. The kitchen took our breath away. It's so expensive to eat every meal out, but meals weren't a problem for us. The kitchen has everything in it that you could possibly need to prepare gourmet meals or just simple meals if you like. It even has herbs and spices! It is a delight to cook in it. There is even an electric grill on the lanai. It worked great and was VERY easy to clean. We slept so well in part because the beds were very comfortable and it is very quiet there. The pool is a beautiful saline pool and we spent many hours using it and there is a large hot tub too. There were never many people there and it was calm and peaceful. The grounds are so beautiful and they are impeccably maintained. Your parking space is right in front of the condo and by the elevator. There is no need to haul your grocery shopping up the stairs. Just use the elevator. If you like to shop there are plenty of places just down the road. The area where the condo is doesn't seem crowded at all and we NEVER had any traffic. We felt the price was right and fair for what we got, which was a fabulous, wonderful and unforgettable stay in paradise.

We have stayed at this property 4 times in 3 different units. This was the nicest by far. It had everything we needed. Great view, thoughtful extras. We come to Hawaii and prefer to cook the majority of our meals so we prefer a condo to a hotel. The kitchen was well stocked with spices, oils, flour and every appliance and utensil you could ask for. The thoughtfulness and generosity of the host really came through in all the small details.

We have stayed at this condo for more than a decade. It has always had everything you could possibly want in a home away from home. Clean, comfortable, well appointed and a great location. More than enough fresh towels, beach towels, even beach toys. The kitchen has everything you need to cook your own gourmet meals. High quality dishes, cutlery, drink ware and even an espresso machine. The new kitchen remodel is gorgeous! We like to sit on the lanai and watch the sunset. We will be back!

Staying at A-202 was a real delight! We were particularly impressed with the owner, Dorothy Larsen, who made sure we were treated like royalty. The condo was charming, well stocked with everything you may need, comfortable and the view was great. One never knows what they will see once the key is put into the front door, however this was a real surprise as we felt we were home~!
We ae looking forward to visiting our home away from home in 2022.

We rented this beautiful condo for 10 nights in November 2015. It was so comfortable in every way, beautifully decorated, spotless, and just a great place to call home for our vacation. The lanai is beautifully furnished, and has a lovely partial view of the ocean. We had everything we needed, and shared many wonderful times together in this lovingly maintained condo. This is one of the nicest properties we have rented in Vista Waikoloa. We hope to stay here again in the near future.

We loved our stay here! This unit far surpassed our expectations. The family room is beautiful and high up, and the master bath remodel is *gorgeous*. The owner obviously cares a lot, and has put a lot of effort into making this place very nice. (She's also really nice.) The place is also *very* clean and everything is in great shape.
The location is fantastic - it's just 1 mile away from two small shopping centers where you can get a meal (or groceries) or do basic shopping, and you can also walk to the beach from here. It's also basically right in the middle of all of the best beaches on the island (which are all fantastic) - you can drive 10 minutes north or 20 minutes south and get to some absolutely incredible beaches.
They also provide (in the closet of one of the bedrooms) plenty of beach towels, snorkels, boogie boards, etc. so you don't need to bother bringing (or buying) that stuff.
The only complaint I can come up with is that the kitchen cabinets smelled slightly musty, but this doesn't even register, given how pleased we were with everything else about the unit. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Our family with two adults and two kids aged 6 and 10 enjoyed a fantastic 12 night stay here. Sylvia was excellent to work with and she even treated us to a welcome fruit basket on arrival! This condo is stocked with everything you could possibly need for a great stay. And it's a lovely size when you need to just relax and have a bit of time to yourself away from the kids! Beach toys, towels, snorkels, boogie boards, umbrellas, chairs etc. All included. The lanai is huge and is better than it even looks in the pics. The complex was great. Quiet, convenientLy located to many beaches and other attractions. The kitchen was well supplied and even had decent knives! Huge plus for those who actually like cooking. The condo pool is larger than it looks in the photos. We've rented many different places all throughout Hawaii, Oregon, Washington and BC in the last ten years and this is our favourite!

We have been to the big island many times, and were very happy with our stay at Vista Waikoloa. The condos are in a great location within walking distance to the beach, in the middle of the nice Waikoloa resort area. Sylvia was great and the condo itself was really nice. Lots of space, and she had some nice amenities like a beach umbrella, ice chest, etc. that allowed us to save some money and/or make the beach trips nicer.

We cannot recommend highly enough our stay at Vista Waikoloa! It was impeccably clean, spacious, and beautiful! The wrap around lanai allows for incredible views and plenty of space for meals or sunset viewing. The owners are completely trustworthy, friendly an available by phone if you need any questions answered. This owner has two other units and we were able to tour one of them which was every bit as nice as ours with Hawaiiana furnishings,linens and lanai with same sunset view. The complex is quiet and perfectly situated for walking to resorts and shops. The pool and hot tub were clean and quiet also.

Our vacation on the Big Island was amazing and this condo was perfect! This was our 3rd visit to Waikola, but first time staying in a VRBO condo; I'm not sure if we will ever stay in the resorts again. Sylvia's property is clean, tastefully decorated, spacious, and has all the essentials needed to make your visit comfortable. It was especially helpful to have beach gear and towels available for use.
We could have spent our entire week within in the Waikola Community (A-Bay, Vista Waikola pool, Kings & Queens shops) and been happy. We also spent time at Hapuna Beach and the Mauna Kea Beach, each about 15 minutes away and well worth the drive. Kona is about 20 minutes away and a fun city to explore when we needed a break from the beach/pool.
Sylvia was very helpful and answered all of our questions. She promptly responded to phone calls & emails. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway on the Big Island.

My family and I had a terrific time at Sylvia's 2 bedroom condo. We felt right at home. Everything was clean and comfortable and we had a beautiful view of the ocean. It was a fifteen minute walk to the markets and a two minute drive. Very enjoyable experience. I highly recommend this condo if you're looking to unwind and just want to relax on the lanai.
