If you are looking for peaceful Hawaii away from the crowded resorts and neighborhoods look no further you have found it.

Welcome to the Bamboo Valley Inn: Haleakala Suite
Nestled in a hidden tropical valley on Maui's North Shore where all you will hear are the sounds of nature and warm tropical breezes dancing through the bamboo.

Located on a very private, quiet, multi acre property with a bamboo forest and a running stream. Just 10 minutes from world famous Ho'okipa and Baldwin Beach Parks.

A 5 minute drive to Haiku Town restaurants and country stores and 10 minute drive from Paia and Makawao Town restaurants and shops.

At the Bamboo Valley Inn we offer deluxe accommodations with complimentary amenities and free parking.
The 2 bedroom suite is 800 square feet in size and has a 200 square foot covered patio. The 2 bedroom suite has granite counters, it's own private bath, fully equipped private entertainment room with Dish network TV , free wireless internet, wood burning fireplace, and a covered lanai with gas BBQ grill. The Suite also has a kitchen, containing everything you would need to prepare any meal.
In your suite you will be welcomed with a breakfast tray, and chilled bottled water.
Each Suite is completely private from the other. Your privacy is our priority, however the owners reside on property in a separate dwelling to assist with any of your needs or requests.

Why the Owner Chose Haiku: We first saw this property in 1994 and immediately fell in love with the location. Being near all the necessary conveniences, but hidden in a quiet tropical valley, surrounded by bamboo forests, running stream, and towering eucalyptus trees is ideal. Our 1,000 foot elevation brings us cool nights, resulting in great sleeping weather. We have lived here for 28 years and continue to appreciate the beauty each day. My mom and I stayed here and loved it. It is very spacious with plenty of room for a family. It was private and quiet, tucked in the trees. We enjoyed morning coffee on the lanai, listening to the birds. There are some pretty beaches not far away and great access to the volcano and the road to Hana. It’s not far from the airport/Costco/restaurants/shopping but feels very tucked away. If you’re looking for a quiet place that gives you a different feel of the island than the beach resorts, I highly recommend Bamboo Inn! The hosts were friendly and easy to communicate with. The extra beach equipment and available laundry were helpful too.

This property is everything you could ask for, secluded, tropical, peaceful, clean and comfortable. You feel like you’re at home enjoying both indoors and outdoors. Listening to the rain on the trees was very tranquil. Would book again.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Communication with the owner was great. Check-in process was great. The property is beautiful and in a very quiet locale, which is exactly what we were looking for. The additional continental style items left for us were thoughtful and came in handy. Parking was super convenient as well. I would 100% book this place again.

We really enjoyed the peace and quiet at this well-appointed cottage. The location was perfect, as you can get to pretty much any point on the island within an hour's drive or less. As others have said, you can hear people walking in the upstairs unit, which might be an issue if there was a large/noisy group. It was not a problem when we were there. Highly recommend!

The rental was clean and well kept. Kitchen had more than we needed for preparing breakfast and lunches, which was nice. Beds were very comfortable. The property is beautiful. It was a nice secluded retreat. The location was great for exploring the rest of Maui. I was very pleased.

Very quite here. Got to really relax with my wife. The house was very cute and well appointed. Not far from the town of Makawao if you needed anything. The other tenants were very respectful also. Very convenient for us because my son and family live close by. Would definitely come back.

Bamboo Valley Inn is a beautiful hidden gem in a great location for exploring all of Maui's Upcountry and Southern beaches! Our Suite was IMPECCABLE! The property is so beautiful. We sat on the porch drinking coffee every morning, listening to the birds, the rain, everything. We loved our suite and the property location. Tom and Viki were AWESOME. So responsive, easy to communicate with and VERY THOROUGH!! All and any information regarding the area's places to visit and directions were provided in notebooks and a very nice welcome tray was in the Suite when we arrived. The Suite is nicely appointed with all you need. It is dated and the main bedroom needs a new bed ( not very comfortable), but it was well maintained and incredibly clean! I was so impressed! Here's the negative - we were in the ground floor Suite and we heard EVERY SINGLE footstep, drawer closure, conversation coming from above us. The first night we honestly thought there was construction going on. The walls are thin. I would definitely stay again, but on the top floor. We were there for 6 nights and some of the people coming and going were outrageously loud. The last group was pretty quiet by 8, so it wasn't too bad. But our wake-up time was dictated by the other guests moving and talking. That is the only reason they got a 4 star, not a 5.

Very private and lush location. We used it as a good launching point to explore different compass directions of the island.

This was a wonderful VRBO stay in Maui, allowing us to explore the entire island from a central point. We felt secluded in the wonderful forest at night, with easy access to all of the beauty of Maui during the day! Highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay at Tom and Vicki's place. Communication was clear and staying a little further from the beach resorts suited us. The property has everything you need and there were many thoughtful additions such as beach gear and a washer and dryer on the property that really enhanced our stay. Highly recommended.

You won’t be disappointed! The natural noises of this location will put you at ease instantly. You are just 5 miles away from mile marker 0 to the Road to Hana which allows you to return easily over multiple days. Several towns nearby with great treasures in Hawaiian food and beauty to see. Many ammenities on-site.

The pictures didn’t do the space justice. It seemed larger in person. We loved the tropical views and they had everything we needed down to chairs and an ice chest. Will definitely book here again.

It was just the two of us, in what would end up being our surprise engagement vacation and this place was the perfect private, quiet, jungle escape place. We enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen, out door grill, and even used the outdoor washer and dryer. Tom was there if we needed him which we never did and even left us a lovely note and gift after learning of our engagement. Would 100 percent recommend and stay again. Mahalo!

Beautiful view from lovely lanai and spacious dining/living room, comfortable beds, well equipped. Linen closet outside suite had extra towels and beach towels. We used beach chairs and cooler (near driveway) for our days at the beach. Tom and Vicki were gracious hosts with good communication.

Super comfortable secluded accommodation in an up country location close to Paia and Haiku. Nice to relax away from the crowds and close enough to beautiful beaches and funky little towns where you can get incredible food. Tom and Vickie where great hosts. House was amply supplied with amenities including beach towels and boggy boards. Would highly recommend.

It was a great place to call home for the almost week we were in Maui. Awesome communication and a lot of wonderful little amenities!

December 2020
Wonderful location, tucked away from the (already) quiet country road, and with views from the house towards the tropical forest. Stores are 1-2 miles away in Haiku for small groceries or breakfast. Or drive to Paia for more selection and shopping. East access to beaches, valleys, Haleakala, farmer's markets. We did a fair amount of cooking in our unit because the kitchen was fully equiped and the deck was so inviting for dinners and late evening conversations. We would book this property again! Thank you Tom and Vicki.

We like staying upcountry to be away from crowds and to experience the lush landscape, cooler nights, and peaceful downtime. Bamboo Valley Inn had all of that, was well appointed, very comfortable, and had very responsive hosts. Highly recommended!

This is a lovely, peaceful property surrounded by bamboo forest. The only sounds we heard were the birds, the breezes, and an occasional rooster. Large windows on three sides of our unit looked out on the forest. The rooms were spacious, nicely furnished and everything was spotless. We were gone most of the day but this was the perfect place to start our day and come home to in the evening.

Note: Vacancy calendar is approximate. Visit the owner/manager's reservation site to verify your dates.
