We understand that our guests’ may have additional concerns for cleaning and dis-infection and we have enhanced our cleaning procedures even further to provide you with our usual sparkling clean arrival with deliberate sanitizing attention to high-touch surfaces.

Welcome to our vacation home at the Keauhou Kona Surf & Racquet Club (KKSRC) on the Kona/sunny-side of the Big Island of Hawaii.

We first visited Kona in 1999 and found the Surf & Racquet Club in 2003. We were hooked!

Our oceanfront location is perfect! It's next to the ocean and a beach and less than ½ mile from Kahalu’u Beach Park and the Keauhou Shopping Center with it’s many stores and restaurants. (Kahalu'u Beach Park is also known as Turtle or Snorkel Beach.)

Kahalu’u Beach Park is our favorite snorkeling park in all of Hawaii. The fish and turtles are plentiful and there are bathrooms, parking, reasonably easy access in and out of this protected bay and visitors can rent beach or snorkel gear here, as well, if needed.

Our lovely townhouse has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a fully equipped kitchen. Guests can choose to eat indoors at the dining table or there's another table and chairs on our oceanfront lanai.

There are two TVs and wifi for indoor entertainment.

And, we have installed air-conditioning in both bedrooms to provide extra assurance of cool and comfortable rest in the event guests prefer more than fans and ocean breezes.

We also provide beach towels, cooler and there's usually a beach chair or two, an umbrella, and a boogie board for guests to use.

The views when you enter this unit are breathtaking AND you get to enjoy those same views throughout the unit. The view from king/oceanfront bedroom upstairs is particularly stunning; you can watch and listen to the surf from the king bed and spot the yellow tang and turtles frolicking in the blue, aquamarine surf.

During the late spring and summer months you can even watch the sunsets from the bedroom – they’re straight out for your viewing pleasure.

Our décor is very simple and allows guests to easily move in and call the place their own. Most of the artwork is from local artists and reflects the tropical beauty that is found throughout Hawaii. Travertine floors throughout keep feet clean and cool.

And, it’s easy to enjoy your own private backyard in this lovely end-unit with grass surrounding three sides. Also, there’s lush greenery between the yard and the ocean so that children are protected by this natural barrier. Still, if you want to go down to the beach it’s a simple two-minute walk to access the path around the neighboring building.

There are three sacred heiaus on our 15 + acre tropically landscaped property; several on and around beach and during low tide you can even find petroglyphs on the exposed rocks between tide pools. The property inland from beach and next to us is actually being transitioned into a cultural center park because of the richness of history in this area.

In the winter we enjoy additional sightings of the humpback whales and even witnessed an ever-so-rare-to-see birthing in March 2015. Spinner dolphins can be seen along the coastline nearly every day and kayakers, tour boats, and outrigger canoes paddle by pretty routinely.

And, whenever you feel more adventuresome it’s easy to get into the car and drive to hundreds of other lovely places on this big beautiful island. There are world-class beaches, boogie boarding and snorkeling, an active volcano, tropical rainforests, Kona coffee plantations, historic and sacred places, and more. We’re still exploring this lovely place almost 20 years after our first visit.

The complex has a delightful swimming pool which is suitable for young and old alike. There are 1-3 feet depths at the shallow end of the pool and then lengthwise it goes from 4 to 8 feet so you can easily get in some laps or just playfully float around.

If you like to play tennis then this is the place for you. Our recently resurfaced and lighted tennis courts are free for our guests and we even supply a few racquets. There’s a pro available if you want to schedule a lesson or two as well.

All in all – if you’re looking for a wonderful place in paradise – this is it!

We (two adults, one teen) enjoyed our stay at the condo. We found it as described. It's dated, but clean and spacious. The location was perfect for us as it was easy access to the town and the boat docks, but far enough away from town that it felt like a nice respite. It had all the suplies we needed and we were comfortable with the in room AC. We spent all of our time in the ocean, so didn't use the pool or courts, but they looked nice.

Just the perfect combination of location, relaxed amenities, ease of arrival and departure for the price. We found the snorkeling steps from our backyard to rival the other local beaches, wonderful restaurant's, shopping, and grocery close by and the best Kona coast attractions were also within reasonable driving distance. The unit had everything we needed for a restful getaway and the community was quiet with an amazing pool. We loved our time there and I cannot stress enough the view from the Lanai. SUNSETS we will never forget! We will be back Sandy!

This townhouse located at the resort about 10 min drive to Kona. Beautiful location and wonderful view of ocean. You can hear the sound of ocean and enjoy your morning coffee. You can find everything you might need for you stay including picnic chairs and coolers,..Inside is very old and worn out. It looks like never been updated. The carpet covering the stairs was really dirty. Everywhere looked dirty and dusty. There were dead cockroaches and also live ones flying to our face. We had to deal with the bugs every nights. There were trash behind and under master bedroom. Soap stain on the sink and showers. Bathroom shower on the main floor was dripping. It was hot when we arrived and there were unit AC in both bedrooms which were very noisy but it did cool off the bedrooms. Windows screen on bedrooms and bathroom upstairs need update because I think that were the cockroaches were coming in.

Location, location, location! This property backs up to an ocean bay with the wonderful sound of waves breaking and fascinating tidal action. One could simply watch the beautiful view for hours. The house is spotless and fully stocked with everything - just bring your food and you’re set. Drawers and cabinets are well labelled so it’s easy to find beach towels, etc. The pool and tennis courts are conveniently located and the area is well maintained and quiet. This is truly a delightful vacation rental!

The location was absolutely perfect! We made sure to have our morning coffee and watch sunsets on the lanai each day. It never got super uncomfortable, but we really appreciated the A/C in the bedroom at night. Well stocked, and loved that we had use of beach equipment. Great communication with the host. 100% would rebook.

The pictures do not do this property justice. The view and proximity to the ocean is absolutely breathtaking. It was very comfortable and had everything that we could ever possibly need. I would not change a thing. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!!

The location was fantastic and as advertised. It's really as close to the ocean as the photos show and the surf sounds are wonderful at night. The kitchen was well-stocked and easy to cook in. Sandy was very responsive as a host and left us some Hawaiian treats to enjoy upon check in.

This home is absolutely beautiful and fully stocked with appliances, cooking utensils, dishes, and they even provided us with some welcoming local snacks to warm our welcome when you first enter the door. Okay and THAT VIEW. We made sure to be home to watch the sunsets from the back porch every night because it is just beautiful. 10/10 would stay here again. Not to mention, Sandy was very quick to respond and easy to communicate with.

This was our first time in Hawaii, so we didn’t know what to expect. The place is very quiet, with the constant sound of the ocean waves hitting the shore as a very calming background. Sandy was great. Very responsive to communication and helpful and accommodating. The instructions are concise and clear. I would definitely recommend.

Everything was where Sandy said. Clean & tidy. Pleasant. Just bring your clothes which was very helpful coming from Australia.

The condo was exactly as described, and is in a great location right on the ocean. Communication with the host was excellent. The bedroom a/c units do a good job keeping the bedrooms cool, but we personally found the rest of the condo a bit too warm for our liking when we were there in September 2022. However, other reviewers thought it was comfortable without the a/c on around the same time, so it's a matter of preference.

Everything was great. Can’t say enough good things. The location right on the water was wonderful sleeping in the bedroom with the windows open to the sound of waves and sea breeze. No need for AC.

This condo has everything you need for a relaxing stay in Kona. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances, utensils, spices, Saran Wrap and foil and even plastic storage containers. There were cooler bags, ice packs, beach gear and chairs, and lots of pool towels. The beds were very comfortable, and so were the pillows! The ocean seems like 50 feet away and was very soothing to watch and listen to at night. The air conditioning units in the bedrooms provided cool relief for sleeping at night, but there were also plenty of fans throughout the condo! The unit is a short distance to the pool as well. Overall, it was very enjoyable to stay here and I recommend it!

Great views from this peaceful location. It takes only moments sitting out on the private lanai to begin to relax. The unit is very clean and stocked with all of the necessary cookware and dishes. Sandy and Leslie communicated everything we needed to know in a timely and professional manner. Thanks Sandy for sharing this little piece of paradise with us.

This is the second time we have been able to stay here. The location is great; close to everything without being in high traffic area. The views are beautiful. The kitchen is well appointed as is the rest of the condo. Everything you need is there! Would love to stay here every time we visit, but they do fill up!

We have stayed at this property on several occasions and always feel so comfortable and "at home". On this trip our family (with teenagers) stayed in another townhouse and also found the property and facilities to have what they were looking for: a beach with tide pools to explore, a swimming pool, snorkeling nearby and, of course the general Aloha Spirit. We'll be back if we can find an available date! That's the problem with a great place, the rental calendar fills up.

My husband and I are semi-retired, in our 70’s. We loved this condo - and we’ve stayed at many VRBO condos over the last 20+ years on Maui, Oahu, Kauai, and Big Island. If not the nicest, it’s in the top 3! We could hear and see the waves breaking right outside - and we enjoyed many sunsets on the lanai - better than some of the restaurants in town. There were plenty of beach towels, boogie boards, beach umbrellas, and linens for use. The kitchen had plenty of dishes, flatware, pots, and pans. This condo is 5 minutes from manta ray snorkeling and a relatively new shopping mall - the grocery store is probably the best I’ve seen in Hawaii, and a lot more convenient than Costco. The pool is convenient to all of the condos, and big enough to accommodate both lap swimmers and small children and their parents. The neighbors were quiet. The owner, Sandy, was helpful and very thorough in arrival and departure procedures. She also responded quickly to any questions we had prior to our arrival. I wholeheartedly recommend this rental!

Communication with Sandy was Superb! We had several messages going back and forth and everything was in order for our arrival. The proximity to the ocean is amazing. From our bedroom window we could see turtles playing in the waves and fish rolling in the surf. The sound of the waves crashing on shore along with a cool ocean breeze made sleeping a pleasure. My main disappointment was the listing that says that Air Conditioning is an amenity of the unit. I would assume this means a central, or split system that cools the entire unit. However, the lower floor is not air-conditioned (although fans are provided). The upstairs bedrooms each have a stand-alone room air conditioner. Unfortunately these are unable to cool the upstairs bathroom or lower floor and are noisy when operating. We did notice some dust bunnies upstairs, but overall the home was clean. The upstairs ocean side bedroom ceiling needs repair (the plaster is failing). Overall, I would stay here again with pleasure. Bob

We loved staying at this townhome - the lanai faced the ocean and it was a pleasure having morning coffee and being surrounded by such beauty. You could hear the waves from the living room and master bedroom. The kitchen had everything you could want and the owner thought of everything (ie. cooler to take to beach, ice packs) We were so busy exploring the island that we did not use the pool, tennis courts, ping pong table) but everything was a short walk away and in great condition. It was a true delight and we would definitely stay there again.

Note: Vacancy calendar is approximate. Visit the owner/manager's reservation site to verify your dates.
