We spent two weeks in this lovely 1-bedroom condo and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The views from the living room and bedroom are stunning. The kitchen is well-stocked with all the kitchenware we needed, and the complex has quiet hours starting at 10:00 PM (that were observed) so we slept really well. There are wild roosters in Kauai so download a white noise app on your phone. The path to the nearby beach can be quite muddy and slippery after the occasional rainstorms so you might want to bring some trekking poles in your luggage. Leila is a very hospitable and responsive host, and we definitely hope to return in the future.

SeaLodge is in a beautiful location with great views of the ocean and the mountains. The hike to SeaLodge beach allows you to enjoy so much of what Kauai has to offer. The condo itself is well equipped with everything that you need. However, the lack of air conditioning is a big negative, especially when the weather is bad. A Kauai vacation relies heavily on outdoor activities. When we were there, it rained most of the day, every day, requiring us to spend much time in the condo. The lack of air conditioning, uncomfortable furniture, and no smart TV, made the stay uncomfortable. If you plan a stay at SeaLodge, keep this in mind.

Our stay was delightful. We enjoyed the proximity to many points on the north side of Kauai. We could see the ocean and the view of the nice homes on the mountain side as this was also scenic. The condo did not have AC and we had to get a little use to it. When we arrived at 3 pm, the temperature was quite high in the unit as we needed to open windows and activate some fans that were available to cool the unit. We found that temperatures cooled at night often with light rains and a breeze which allowed for comfortable sleeping. The bed was also comfortable. The place was very clean and decorated nicely, and there was the opportunity to relax in the living room area. Our host was very responsive and very easy to work with. If visiting the area, we would certainly be glad to stay at this condo again!

With respect to the beach: Sealodge beach has great snorkling. The path is steep, so bring your walking shoes.

We loved the location, view from the deck, hike to the private beach, and the condo was stocked with everything we needed!! Just beware the lack of a/c made afternoons uncomfortable. Mornings and evenings were fine, plenty of fans and open windows. But coming back after a day of hiking and beaching, etc, it was too hot to take showers and dress to go back out for dinner. We’d open the windows back up and sit outside until it was cool enough to go inside and take cold showers before going out. But we really did enjoy our stay!!!

We were very pleased with our decision to stay here vs other rentals we'd found in Princeville at a similar price point, primarily due to the location with amazing views of both the sea and lush mountains. We enjoyed the short jungle trek to the hidden Sealodge beach, watching the sunrise from the property's grounds, and listening to nature around us. The condo had everything needed to make our short stay comfortable, and the pictures accurately depict the inside of the property.
We also appreciated that the owner warned us when we booked that without a/c, the condo could get hot during the daytime. We were OK with this for our short stay because we were out exploring most of the day. However, we would probably not opt for an extended stay in August. This is true of many to most of rentals, but the upper floor and sun exposure, which make for fabulous views, may also contribute to the warming in the unit.
In summary, we were extremely happy and would stay here again.

Leila's property in Princeville is truly our happy place. We've stayed at her condo twice in the last year and fall in love with it more and more each time. The location is perfect - with views to both the mountains and ocean. Great airflow throughout the unit with windows and fans. The place is fully stocked with all the necessities including dishes, soap, laundry, cable/internet, beach chairs, coolers, beach towels, etc. Can't wait to come back again next year. Counting down the days!

Would probably book a place with AC if we returned to the area. We recommend your own snorkeling mask/mouthpiece if you want to snorkel. The ones available to use leaked with our experience. Had other great beach equipment available to use.

A cozy spot in beautiful Princeville. Close to Hanalei Beach with incredible views of the Pacific Ocean from multiple spots in the condo. The breezes and fans keep the place comfortable, so we loved having the windows open to enjoy the outside fresh air. We had some communication with the owner who was always responsive and personable. If we ever come back to Kauai we would stay here again!

Thank you Leila for being a great host and with a wonderful place to stay in Princeville on Kauai. She was most helpful and accommodating in our communications. Her place at Sealodge was better than expected with fabulous views of the mountains and superb location near many activities in the Hanalei Bay area. We most enjoyed the private Sealodge beach with good snorkeling and frequent sights of sea turtles, as well as the communal bench nearby on a grass bluff overlooking the ocean. We saw passing and playing whales and porpoises daily.
We liked the weathered wood shingle look of the Sealodge buildings. Her spacious one-bedroom unit on the top floor location felt private and quiet. It was exceptionally clean and neat upon arrival. The mirrored walls in the Dining Room and Living Room made the space feel large and open. It has large, tinted windows and sliding glass door to Lanai that when fully open allows good natural air circulation. The unit also has neat peekaboo views of the ocean from the Living Room, Lanai and Kitchen windows.
The kitchen was well equipped for food prep and cooking with full size stove and refrigerator. We found everything we needed to eat in or prepare meals on the go for our outdoor adventures. The unit was also well equipped for beach activities.
We would happily use Leila’s place again when visiting Kauai. Highly recommended for those seeking comfort, fabulous views and superb location.

We had everything we needed and had a good week. We were in a different condo for the first 2 weeks and it was 2 bedroom/2 bathroom so understandably as this one was a 1 bedroom and was smaller.

We stayed for 4 nights and had an amazing time. The location could not be more ideal. It’s on the top floor at the very end of the bluff overlooking the ocean. The condo has everything you need: a desk to work, two TVs with cable, a dishwasher, washer/dryer, coffee maker with filters, and plenty of towels and cleaning supplies. There is a great lanai to watch the sunset. There is no AC which is typical of Hawaii, so there are plenty of fans and windows which cool the place down at night. There is a path behind the condo which leads to a private beach, a pool on the property, and plenty of running and walking paths throughout Princeville. There’s also a little bench behind one of the buildings which is perfect to sit and have your coffee in the morning and watch the sunrise. Would highly recommend this property - we will definitely be back!

My wife and I stayed here during our honeymoon and this place had everything we could have wanted or needed for a quiet get away. Close to a few beaches and farmers markets we enjoyed, as well as offering all the cooking utensils we needed for a few nights in. The neighborhood was quiet and we loved the view from the back porch. We would love to stay again when we revisit Kauai in a few years.

We had a wonderful time at this property. Very quiet and cozy. Kauai holds a very special place in my heart. This was my first time staying on the north end and it was an awesome experience! Hanalei is just 5 min or so down the road and gettimg to the south end is a breeze especially traveling through the amazing scenery that kauai has to offer while getting there. Every drive feels like an adventure. Because of the washer and dryer, we only needed to pack half of what we needed. I highly recommend staying at this property. And you HAVE to take the hike down and experience the private beach.... bring your snorkel gear, and the chairs they have for you in the closet with some snacks in a backpack and you are set for a most relaxing beach experience. I mean, hiking through a jungle and over lava rock to a remote private beach with a snorkeling reef!?!?! How hawaii is that? Also, if you want to swim with turtles, we managed to find a bunch of them at anini beach. This was my second trip to Anini and both times i was graced with turtles. Amazing. The front door has a code lock, so you dont have to worry about lost keys. Beautiful place, wonderful stay and amazing memories. MAHALO!❤️

Our week’s stay at Leilani’s 1br condo was excellent and stress free. Directions and entrance to the property went smoothly. The condo is clean and tastefully decorated. The bed was comfortable and it was a short ride to Hanalei. A grocery store was nearby. If we have the opportunity to stay on the north side of the island we would come again.

She suggested we trespass at other resorts since she has done it before. Makes you wonder how often the pool is actually open.
She will claim I was unreasonable about my disappointment with pool closure.

No thinking involved. This was a true vacation in every sense of the word. Every detail was attended to in the property. The condo was stocked with everything we needed, and then some, which allowed a truly relaxing getaway. It was immaculate, and well-appointed, thoughtfully decorated and organized and the location was beautiful. Stunning sunsets and amazing hikes down to a secluded private beach. Having a washer and dryer was so helpful. It truly could not have been a better experience. Leila was delightful and prompt in communication and our every need was met. Cannot wait to return.

Not especially fond of the rooster at 4am 😂 I couldn’t find the beach must have taken a wrong turn off the path. It’s was in a perfect location to Hanalei and Anini beach. Loved it!

This is an absolutely beautiful condo.
My partner and I stayed in August, and no AC was needed - at night it was cool (and almost too cold!) It can get a little warm during the day, but hopefully you are exploring the beautiful Nā Pali coast.
We were confused about locking the deadbolt, but it was our fault. The little round nub under the deadbolt controls the opening/closing of the latch and it looks somewhat like a screw. The host, Leila, was so sweet and even asked the cleaning lady to come help us. We did not have any other issues during our stay and Leila is very responsive to all messages. I felt really bad about this silly mistake on our part, but Leila reassured us that she was happy to help with anything we needed. She’s such an amazing host!
My partner and I were lucky enough to celebrate our anniversary here. I’ll never forget the breathtaking sunsets, the kind people, and my first view of the Nā Pali coast.

My husband and I booked this spot for part of our 30th anniversary trip. The condo is clean and so cute! It’s like being in a treehouse with some fantastic ocean and Mountain views. The condo is well stocked with kitchen items and beach items. The location is also great with Foodland nearby, as well as Tiki Iniki which is a fun spot for tropical cocktails. Hanalei is also very accessible. We had a great time hiking to Hanakapi’ai Falls and taking a dip at Ke’e beach after. We loved our Napali snorkel excursion and also snorkeling with turtles at nearby Anini beach. This spot was the perfect place to come back and recharge for our next excursion.

Accurately described, clean, well-maintained property. Well-equipped with beach equipment. Very cool private access hiking trail to a beach. Kitchen has all cookware and utensils needed but be sure to bring spices, cooking oil, and condiments. The space cools down at night with ample windows and fans, but bring ear plugs if you are not used to hearing roosters at all hours (this applies to any rental unit in Princeville without A/C, not just here). Overall, an affordable, clean, and comfortable place to stay!

We had the most wonderful relaxing vacation in Kauai at this condo! This was the first time here in Kauai for both of us and we have truly fallen in love with it!
Princeville was a perfect place to be! We spent quite a bit of time on the north shore and Hanalei, but also drove around the island to Waimea Canyon. We did a Na'Pali catamaran tour & went snorkeling, went to Koloa town and did a scuba diving trip and relaxed one day in Hanalei with a beachside massage! Truly amazing vacation and felt like a second honeymoon, celebrating our 26th anniversary. ❤️🌺❤️.
This location is close to a small grocery store, great sandwich shop (several other restaurants are nearby) and Hanalei is about a 10 min. drive away. Tons of awesome restaurants & food trucks! If you are arriving late at night I recommend stopping at the Walmart near the airport for groceries, as the grocery up here may be closed when you arrive.

The Sealodge is too adorable! The complex itself was very unique! In terms of the condo, everything was clean, and it was well stocked with many toiletries and supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent). I also appreciated the beach chairs and umbrella provided. The view from the balcony was stunning! The only downside to the condo is there is no air conditioning, which is alright in the morning and early afternoon. However, in the late afternoon and evening the sun comes straight through the windows, so the condo becomes very warm. However, this means you also get a great view of the sunset! In terms of location, while Princeville is quite a drive from Lihue, there was access to supermarkets and smaller beaches. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

It was an excellent location to quickly access everything on the north end of the island and we couldn't have been more satisfied with our choice! The cozy condo was perfect for what we needed. We spent every day exploring the island. We loved starting our day in Princeville and choosing a day to drive and explore each side of the island and then ending up back at Hanalei Bay for dinner and shave ice.
The condo was extremely quiet. We felt like we were the only ones there...aside from the roosters! The fans kept us cool at night and we had no issue with no AC (we were initially concerned that we'd be hot). The breezes off the ocean kept us cool and the condo wound cool down as soon as you opened all the windows.
The morning views of the mountains and ocean were beautiful and we saw a rainbow out the bedroom window almost every day!
We loved Kauai and can't wait to come back!

This was by far one of the most romantic spots we’ve ever stayed in. Waterfalls over lush, tropical mountains. Ocean views from the balcony and one sunset we even caught humpback whales leaping. The decoration is charming and it was in a great location. We went for our anniversary and this was the second time we visited the island, the first was our wedding. It was truly the setting we needed to recover from the beach, sip wine and watch all the purple and pinks. When it was all over, we accidentally left something very personally meaningful to us. The host Leila and her cleaning staff what above and to find it (hidden behind a cabinet) and get it back to us. There is no doubt that this is where we’ll stay next time we visit.

I have zero complaints about this rental. It was in a perfect location. It was right next to the trail to the private beach and a corner unit so you couldn't hear any neighbors. It was super clean and even nicer in person!

This location was incredible and we loved how thoughtful everything was, from the bikes to the water sports gear and how fun it was to have an outdoor shower after the beach. A cute space transformed by the right hospitality.

peace and quiet. nice corner unit and kitchen fully stocked for cooking. great water pressure and clean apt. some water view in the distance, I really liked the beautiful tree canopy and the quiet vibe. hope to stay again in future.

Super cozy house. More like a tree house. Its super quiet and in a very premium neighbourhood. Get ready to be woken up by roosters everyday at 7. We kept the bedroom windows open and it was so pleasant. The cool air will make you fall asleep in seconds. There’s an awesome place for breakfast where you enjoy the fresh cool breeze every morning. If you want to be near Hanalei this is the place to be.

Our stay here for three nights was amazing! It's a great condo with an incredible view of the beach and mountains on the North Shore (especially from the balcony), in a quiet and private area of Princeville. Well-stocked with all the kitchen items and utensils you could want. Very close to attractions like Queen's Bath and not far from Hanalei. Leila was very helpful in sending us a guide to the neighborhood and all necessary information well before the trip, which was very appreciated. Highly recommend staying here and we hope to come back!

We loved this condo...just the right size for the two of us, fashionably decorated, comfortable, clean, great location, and amazing the ocean views out back and mountain views in the front! Leila did a wonderful job informing us of everything we needed to know before we left home and provided adequate contact information if we had any problems. Appropriate for 1 or 2 people, but if there is a third, they would have to sleep on the couch. I would highly recommend this property! I would love to return again someday!

It was amazing! We had the BEST time, the place had everything we needed! We had breakfast on the Lanai every morning, the hike to the beach was gorgeous and adventurous, which is exactly what we love. The snorkeling at the beach was so wonderful! All of the touches in the place were amazing and so helpful! We would 100% come back to stay here again. So sad to not be there now!

My husband and I loved everything about our stay at Leila's place! The condo had everything we needed - a comfy bed, full kitchen, as well as a lanai overlooking the most stunning view. Leila was super responsive to any questions. Also the property is gorgeous and there's a beach you can hike to directly behind the building. Felt like we stayed in a beautiful treehouse.

Was extremely easy and Leila provided great instructions and advice for our stay. The snorkeling at the Sea Lodge beach behind the condo was better than Anini and Tunnels in our opinion. We saw several turtles and tropical fish. There were several nightly activities nearby including an artist and fle market and hula dancers. Can't wait to return!
