Beautiful house, good location, good view.
Unfortunately, there was quite a bit of construction going on. Redoing the roof and gutters on the building that was right next to us. The construction work with very loud and right out our window was the dumpster. What a bummer Challenged to get to the pool at this time because of all the equipment.
I’d go back there and stay again when there wasn’t construction. I just wish that we were informed about the construction going on. We would’ve picked a different location. I feel that we were ripped off.

What we loved -
The location was great with easy drives to wherever we decided to go for the day. The condo was spacious and had an inviting living area and patio. The bedrooms, bathrooms, furniture and amenities were updated and beautiful and we appreciated having beach chairs and towels to use. The pool area was nice and the walk to the beach at the Hyatt was easy. Listening to the waves at night was relaxing.
What we didn’t love -
The kitchen cleanliness was an issue. We had to rewash all of the dishes and utensils that we needed to use. The dishwasher needs an upgrade or good cleaning, and the kitchen sink had a musty smell.
The washing machine was completely unclean and wouldn’t consider using it.

We had a fantastic stay! There have been renovations since the photos were taken, including the kitchen and bathrooms, so it was even better than expected! Clean, spacious, comfortable furniture, nicely decorated. We loved the location, as it was a very quick walk to Shipwreck Beach and 10-15 minutes to Poipu Beach. It had everything we needed, the host was excellent to communicate with, and we would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in Poipu!

Great condo in a fantastic location. 7 minute walk to Shipwreck Beach and 15 minute walk to Brennecke’s Beach. Wonderful view of the ocean from the lanai. Loved it!

This property worked out well for the four of us. There was plenty of room in the condo and the views from the large balcony was wonderful. It was an easy walk to Shipwreck Beach. There were paths to walk along the coast as well as easy acess to walk the Mahaulepu Heritage Trail. The pool at the condo association was large and had many chairs around it to relax in. We enjoyed all that the condo and its grounds had to offer.

We booked before the renovation but got to enjoy the completed re-do. It is gorgeous and so nicely done! Our fifth stay at Poipu Sands because the location is the best. Had everything we needed and had a quick reply and fix to a minor problem. Hope to be back to stay here again!

Stayed here for our niece's wedding on Naval base, was perfect location for sightseeing whole island. Was able to enjoy beautiful sunrise over Shipwreck Beach and the Heritage trail coast line. Close to shopping, enjoyed Turtles on Poipu Beach. Place was everything we needed and very nicely decorated. Felt at home.

This apartment is absolutely wonderful. It has a large balcony with a sea and pool view. We loved watching the sun rise with our morning coffee. The furniture and decor are beautiful. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. There are beach chairs, boogie boards and a cooler. We even found hair straighteners and curling irons!! Poipu and Shipwreck beach are within easy walking distance. The pool area was spotlessly clean and never crowded. We would not hesitate to stay here again if we ever make it back to this magical island.

I cannot say enough good things about our stay. The place was big and clean. Fully stocked with all the beach toys we needed. The lanai was amazing with a fantastic view. We stayed at the end of July and the temperature was very comfortable with the windows and doors open and the fans going. Would stay again!

Location is ideal, great view of ocean, quick walk to a really nice pool and grill area with multiple weber 4 burner grills. Also a quick (20 walk to public beaches and (10 minutes) to beaches infront of the Hyatt. Host was super attentive, fixing a minor issue same day.
Layout of place was great with king and two twin beds , Both with en-suite bathrooms that where spacious. Kitchen had everything we wanted included coffee maker and toaster . Highly recommend for those seeking a great location and everything needed for a great stay.

We had a wonderful time at this very spacious condo. We enjoyed the pool and walking to the beaches Our favorite part was the back lanai. The view of the ocean and the gentle breeze made it a perfect place to eat, read, relax and play games We were able to grill out twice which was nice. We did okay without air conditioning, but our family doesn't get hot easy. The secondary bedroom definitely has a better breeze especially at night. If the master bedroom door is closed, there is no cross breeze... there were some nights that we were a bit warm.

The unit was conveniently located, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and wonderfully supplied with all items we could need. Spent hours every day on the huge lanai, just looking out at the property and the ocean. Took many hikes up & down the beach. Many good places to eat nearby. Would love to return!

Well equipped, beautifully decorated, Oceanview condo steps away from the ocean! We loved our stay from the moment we walked through the door. The condo was perfect. It is well equipped with beach chairs, beach umbrellas, ice chest, beach towels. Everything you need for a day at the beach. The condo is located less than a 5 minute walk (you walk in front of the ocean) to Shipwreck beach via the Grand Hyatt walkway, which is a beautiful area. Walking the other direction from the condo, the walkway takes you on a beautiful walk in front of the ocean with a cliff below. Gorgeous scenery!
The pool was perfect, heated, but not too warm. Poipu Sands is very well maintained with beautiful flowers and plants everywhere.
The host is great…answered my questions right away. Check in was easy, he gave perfect instructions. We will definitely stay here again!

Two couples in their 70s stayed for a week. This condo has incredible views from a huge lanai furnished with both loungers and dining for four. The pool is superb and located very close to the condo. The neighborhood is great for walks! You can walk to Shipwreck Beach in front of the Grand Hyatt Kauai and if you are energetic to both Poipu and Brenneke beaches as well.
The condo is well equipped with kitchen wear and even beach toys, chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, boogie boards and coolers. We were delighted to find condiments in the fridge!
One must be aware that Kauai is often very humid. If there is a strong breeze, the condo is delightful. However if not and you are an AC person , this might not be the best choice. However condos with AC are scarce on Kauai.
We didn’t eat our a lot but we really enjoyed Koloa town and Friendly Wave who has superb wings in an open are casual setting.
We highly recommend a Na Pali Coast cruise. Capitan Jacks was a wonderful choice for us!

This was the perfect place for our visit! The condo had plenty of room, was beautifully furnished and had a lovely view! We loved sitting out on the lanai. And watching the sunrise over the ocean was a treat. We enjoyed the swimming pool and it was just a short walk to the ocean. Our host was quick to respond when we had a question.
Our only note was the master bath/shower was a bit worn. But everything else was marvelous! We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

My wife and I were very happy with our stay at Poipu Sands. The property was quiet, attractive, and it was a good base to explore the south side of Kauai. The bed was extremely comfortable. As others have mentioned, there is no AC, but there are plenty of fans available to keep air moving. The laundry room contained all of the items we needed but didn't bring: beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, a cooler, and plenty of supplies to use the in-unit washer/dryer. All in all, a well appointed and comfortable place to stay.

Great place to stay for a relaxing get away. Loved hearing the ocean waking up and going to sleep each day. Sea turtles were fun to watch along the walking trail.
Pool was large, clean and comfortable. The unit had everything you would need for daily excursions and beach trips. We visited many different beaches on the island and having a cooler, chairs, boogie boards and towels provided was a great bonus! Property clean and well taken care of.
Overall an excellent location -would recommend and definitely return.

Scott's place was exactly what we were looking for? It's a great condo in the perfect spot. We got to fall asleep to the sound of waves and walk every morning along the waterfront. The entire complex was very well kept and quiet. We almost always had the pool and grill to ourselves. Though there is no A/C, there was always an ocean breeze blowing through keeping it comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

Our family recently spent a week here and we loved the condo. Clean, very roomy, quiet, great location and pretty view. Every step of the process was easy and effortless. I usually make coffee at home in a French press so had a little technical issue with the coffee maker (totally user error). Scott was very quick to respond with help. I can definitely recommend it and would stay here again.

The condo is clean and beautifully decorated. The ocean view is better then pictured. It is well stocked with the basics, including beach chairs, towels, umbrella and boogie boards. The location is close to the greenbelt path, a 5 minute walk to shipwrecks beach or a 15 minute walk to brenneckes. Another perfect Kauai vacation!

We just spent a week at this property and it's as advertised. Scott was extremely helpful and super easy to communicate with. This location was perfect for us. Easy trip from the airport. The property is very quiet and well manicured. Tons of spots for parking along with walking and biking paths everywhere. There was plenty of space for our family of four. It was really nice to pack light and take advantage of the launrdy in the unit. There were 4 beach towels (we did buy a few more at Costco). 4 beach chairs, umbrella and a cooler. The views from the lanai were amazing and a great place to start and end your day. The unit was well stocked with anything you need to prepare meals etc. We ended up at the 'sheraton' beach a few days since it was a 5 minute drive' less people than the others and very swimable. The food options are endless. HIGHLY recommend exploring the food options in 'downtown' Koloa for foodtrucks and fantastic food. The drive to the north shore runs an hour plus simply based on traffic and one road. It's worth the trip.

My family and I stayed here for 6 nights. We absolutely loved it. The unit was very spacious, clean, fully equipped kitchen, large balcony, and very comfortable bed mattress.
The location was ideal. We walked to nearby Poipu beach each morning for fantastic snorkeling and coffee shops. The landscaping was immaculate. The adjacent Hyatt property was a great place to walk through with a great beach and short hike up to the cliffs.
This was out first visit to Kauaia. We drove around the island to visit other areas and still felt that we picked the best location for our vacation. Highly recommend it and look forward to going back in the future.

Only issue was finding exact condo. Pretty dark out at 7:30 p.m. found building ok, that was well marked.
Other than that, experience was great, plus nice views and shirt wall to beach.

overall we were pleased with our stay. the location was good, view was nice and the area felt safe. the only "issues" we had were that there was no air conditioning in our condo, which is not huge until we went to sleep because we sleep in the cold at home. the other 2 things we dealt with were that we texted the handy man and he never replied to our message. and lastly vrbo was able to add on a $52 tax to our room after we had already booked and paid for the room without providing any legit info as to actual legislation, which i felt was pretty crappy

This condo is in the perfect location if you like Shipwrecks Beach like my family does. It is decorated beautifully and has a fantastic ocean view from the large balcony. My only slight concern was that it had carpeting throughout most of the rooms and I personally prefer a hard surface floor so it's easier to deal with. Carpet in a tropical climate is a little hot for me personally.

After a five week stay I can't say enough about the location, and the unit itself. Both bedrooms and bathrooms were great. The living area was very comfortable. The Lanai was large and has a great view looking out toward Shipwreck beach. The kitchen is well equipped to make most meals and comes with a blender, toaster, coffee maker, etc.. Not sure it's mentioned but there is a good dishwasher, and a nice laundry room. The BBQ grill locations are close by and are cleaned daily. The pool is very nice. The grounds are meticulously taken care of. At the time there were backpack beach chairs and boogey boards. Parking was easy. The management team is very helpful and responsive. I can't thank Scott and his staff enough for making our stay a great one! Thanks!
