Oceanfront view! Comfy condo with everything needed in the kitchen. Good wifi and lots of towels and soaps provided. The lawn is immaculate and lounging on it is great. We watched the whales and turtles from the lawn. Nice clean and warm swimming pool, too.

Complex and Location are top notch. the unit itself is not exactly luxurious, needed to call for a couple maintenance/repairs, but generally adequate for our needs. It was well-equipped except for cleaning supplies which we could have really used with our month-long stay. note that unit has no parking place and laundry is communal coin-op - but the laundry room was close

This place was amazing! We have stayed at quite a few short term rentals over the years and sometimes the pictures make it look better than reality--not so here! The views are spectacular! When we first arrived, we couldn't pull ourselves off of the lanai for the first day. Eating breakfast each morning with these views was unforgettable.
We were hoping for three things--a beautiful ocean view, a quiet, off the beaten path location, and easy access to explore the island. This had everything.
The apartment itself was pristine and appears to have been beautifully remodeled.
Although there wasn't a reserved parking spot, we did always find some nearby street parking.
By the time we were leaving, we were daydreaming of having a place like this of our own someday :-)
This will definitely be the first place we look up if we make it back to Maui again!

The property is nice, but older. The beds we’re comfortable and it had everything needed. The parking was across the street which was a little inconvenient. It was my husband, my mom and I who stayed there. We got a noise complaint from the guy under us for talking on the lanai in the morning while we had breakfast and coffee. The air conditioner stopped working a few times. We just turned it off for an hour and turned it back on then it worked again. We enjoyed our stay.

The view from this lanai was the best. We could often see whales without having to leave the condo. Great set up (two bedroom two bath) for two couples to stay together and still have your own private space.
Everything was clean and very well equipped. Normally there are a few spices and condiments left behind to share but there were none. This might be due to covid. Parking on the street wasn’t a problem. There is a loading zone when you are dealing with suitcases or large grocery orders. I recommend you leave a rag and cleanser in the car to clear the tree debris and bird droppings off the windows. The shared washer & dryer can only be paid for with a credit card. This becomes prohibitive when you have an out of country cc and are charged a user fee for each transaction. No problem - I just came home with a great deal of dirty laundry
A very well kept complex and sound proof between the units. I was warned this was a windy area of the island. I didn’t think it would bother me but the noise of wind blowing for days on end became an issue. We were told it wasn’t normally as strong as what we experienced

Elevator very close to our room, which was very convenient for my mother who was in a wheel chair. Trash laundry room and stairs also close. View was beautiful. Even seen turtles from the condo grounds. Close to docks for excursions and aquarium, even a mini golf.

Yes, the view is really nice. The rest of this place is mediocre at best. The space is pretty small for saying that 5-6 people can fit. We had four and it was pretty tight, especially around the dining table. The hot water heater is an issue. For a two bathroom unit, an electric 30 gallon tank is absolutely insufficient. We couldn't even have two consecutive showers at once without running out of somewhat warm water, which makes it difficult to plan for going out each day or going out in the evening with four people. Vacasa tried their best and were responsive, but it's not like they could do anything about the size of the water heater, and the owner really should be stepping up to resolve this issue. The towels were cheap and small, couldn't even wrap around an average person, and the kitchen was barely equipped. The parking is an issue, too. It's obvious that there are reserved spaces in the parking lot, but NOT FOR THIS UNIT! We had to park on the street and hope for a space when sharing the street spaces with people coming to the harbor. The location is great, but this specific unit is a washout.

Nice property at Maui. Size is adequate for families with two bedrooms and each have a dedicated bathroom. Kitchen amenities such as coffee maker toaster utensils and supplies such as dishwasher fluid and washer pods and beach items present such as towels and boogie boards. Everything is clean. Would love to have newer sofa though. Location is perfect as it is by the harbor. Overall great value for this wonderfully maintained property

Plus: 1) location, 2) view of ocean from balcony
Minus: 1)hot water turns cold consistently half way through shower 2) neck pain from sleeping on mattress that should be replace 3)the whole complex is assigned parking and this unit has no assigned parking. Need to park off street otherwise get toll away notice within 5 min 4)we were charged a hefty service fees. Notice in the condo task us with the requirement of taking out trash. I think there should be an option to take trash out if weather warrant that, not an requirement. If it is a requirement, it need to make known before booking.
5) the units are closely located to each other. So much so that you would have a conversation with at least 7 to 8 of your neighbors at the balcony.

I've stayed in Maui over 20 times and this is the first time out of a hotel. The location is the best being 20 mins from Lahina and 20 mins from Wailea, walk to the aquarium, walk to the beach at the end of the street, walk to dinner. Great clean place for the family!

We’ve stayed at many condos in Ma’alaea. This condo was clean and very comfortable. It had the biggest kitchen we’ve seen and it was well equipped. The living room has plenty of comfortable seating. The dining room has an actual dining table that seats four. Both bedrooms have their own bathrooms which is very convenient! No washer and dryer in unit but the condo laundry room is very close to the unit and excepts credit cards, so no running around to try and find quarters. There’s also a trash shoot near the unit. The grounds for this complex are large and beautiful! Also the residents are very welcoming and friendly. You can easily walk to the ocean center and harbor for fun adventures! It’s a wonderful central location to all of Maui. We love this area because it’s quiet and non-touristy! You will also enjoy the view from the balcony. If you visit in whale season November-March you will have the pleasure of watching the momma humpback whales coming in feed their calves. Checking in and out was also very simple. We would absolutely rent this unit again.

The condo is airy and spacious. The king size beds (both) were a much appreciated luxury. The kitchen was surprisingly well equipped with appliances, China, utensils (but didn’t have some small basic things which we had to buy). It would have been nice if there were boogie boards or other fun beach items, but we did find one cool beach chair. I appreciated the recycling facility on the ground floor which prompted us to be diligent in disposing our trash.
It was very nice to find a few pouches of (organic) laundry detergent and dishwashing detergent, so we didn’t have to buy them (pay per use laundry facility located on same floor two doors down)

My wife and I were not near as impressed with this rental as the other reviewers. The area is not as nicely landscaped as you will find elsewhere on Maui and the buildings are a bit dated. When we planned our trip, we had initially thought we would spend more time relaxing and staying near the condo since this was not our first time to Maui. But because we were not that impressed with the area (Maalaea) or the grounds around the complex, we ended up driving to other parts of the island. If we had to do it again, we would spend a little more money and rent a place in Wailea, Kaanapali or Kapalua.
If you plan to spend most of your time being away from the condo or if you only plan to stay within the condo, then it is fine. The unit itself is fine. The positives are that it has a nice view, clean, comfortable sectional in the living room, nice seating area in the dining area, nice common grill and grill area and the building has an elevator. The negatives are that there is an order near the water (did not exist elsewhere on the island), master bedroom is too small and has an accordion style room divider as a door, master bedroom blinds do not provide enough privacy at night with the lights on, small hot water tank, no dead-bolt on the front door, uncomfortable seating on the lana’i (no padded chairs), mismatching dishes, dull cutting knives, no ice maker and too much furniture. Yes, we may be a bit picky and we had also just came from a very nice condo in a nice resort area on the Big Island which was much cheaper.

It's hard to believe the trip we booked last Nov. is over and we are back to reality. Our 10 days spent in your beautiful condo in Aug. was one of our most relaxing vacations ever.Your little piece of Maui paradise was beyond our expectations. We loved Maalaea for its central, quiet location and the beautiful breezes. Oh, how I miss sitting on the lanai watching the palm trees sway with the water and Haleakala right in front of us. The grounds are so well groomed with the thickest, lushest lawns I've ever walked on. The park at the end of the street with miles of beach for walking was fabulous. It beats walking on the roads here.
Your kitchen is so well equipped with everything you could possibly need. We ate all our breakfasts and all but 3 lunches in the unit. What a savings that was! Even though it was just the 2 of us, we really appreciated the extra space. Also, the central AC was a must for us since John doesn't like humidity. The condo was so well decorated and spotless. The artwork and beautiful ceramics kept me mesmerized for 10 days.
We went Upcountry one day and got a different perspective of Maui. The views from there are beautiful and the air is cooler. We had lunch at Kula Lodge that day and browsed the Curtis Wilson Cost Gallery. He does some of the most beautiful paintings. It's worth a trip just for that reason. We saved The Waterfront next door for our last nights dinner. We definitely enjoyed every morsel of food. Thank you for suggesting it to us.
Your basket of goodies was amazing. We made very good use of most of it. We saved those great cookies for the very long , boring flight home. We enjoyed trying fruits we don't normally have such as papaya and star fruit. Really good! We loved meeting you and putting a face to the voice. Thank you for allowing us to check out later to accommodate our mid afternoon flight. We would definitely recommend this unit to anyone wanting a beautiful, clean comfortable place to stay. We hope to return again.

We had the pleasure of spending two relaxing weeks at this very well equipped and very clean, comfortable condo in late July 2008. This was our first trip back to Maui since our honeymoon 21 years earlier. We are now a family of six (Mom, Dad and 4 Children ages 8-20), but the condo slept 6 very comfortably. Maalaea Bay was an excellent choice for us because, while it is central to many of our daily destinations, it is a very quiet and relaxing area to make home.
The kitchen had everything we needed, and we only had 2 restaurant meals out our whole trip. Costco, Walmart and Safeway were all within 15 mins. of the condo. If you go to Safeway make sure you have a Safeway Club Card to maximize savings. The condo had other extras like coolers, beach mats and lawn chairs, which we used daily.
The Maalaea Kai complex has a beautiful view and groomed grounds and a lawn like a golf green. We particularly enjoyed sitting at the barbeque cooking dinner and enjoying a pre-dinner beverage while taking in the surroundings. The pool was in great shape and a wonderful respite from the heat in the late afternoon.
Most days we hit beaches from Wailea (25 mins. South) to Honolua Bay (45 Mins. North) and all places in between. Talk to Monica at Snorkel Bob’s in South Kihei and she will set you up with everything you need including Boogie Boards and maps of the island’s beaches. One of the highlights of our trip was swimming with turtles (Honu), as well as seeing the spinner dolphins on an excursion that Monica booked for us.
Thanks Tom for accommodating our late check out and the beautiful basket with all the flavours of the island.
We would highly recommend this condo to anyone planning a trip to Maui. We hope to return very soon.

Hi,
I stayed here in the early part of June and had a
wonderful stay at this condo. The view was great,
and the space was so relaxing and beautiful. The
location was close to a lot of places we wanted to
go to, and the sunrises were inspiring each
morning. My artistic Muse was alive here. It was
more luxury than I would ordinarily choose to
pamper myself with--even if I was rich... (but I
shared the place with a couple relatives so it was all
good!) A big thumbs up to the experience as a
whole!
