Great location and building, really comfortable for us. Unit is starting to show it's age unfortunately but, hey, aren't we all.
Some small repairs would be great. Most annoying was the kitchen sink faucet that does not like to shut off, the damaged stove knobs, and the air conditioner that makes a horrendous racket and doesn't cycle properly.
Well, that ceiling fan works fine and minor issues certainly did not ruin our stay, which was pleasant indeed.

It was a nice little apartment, with complementary treats and pool toys. The pool deck is very nice and a great place to relax. The parking fee was $40 per day instead of the noted $35, which was manageable. But an unpleasant surprise. Otherwise very nice little apartment.

This is a great location! Just minutes walk to the beach and all the nightlife and restaurants in Waikiki, overlooks the canal, next door to a golf
course, etc. The building even has everything you need…great restaurant that offers coffee to include lattes (although doesn’t open until 7am), mini mart that sells alcohol, pool, exercise room. It’s also 1 block from a Starbucks that opens a little earlier than the hotel restaurant.
The only negative to this place is how small the bathroom is. It’s fine for 1 person but even 1 person can’t use the shower without closing the door. But the unit has lots of mirrors so others can get ready outside the bathroom. The bed was a little too soft for my liking, I think it’s due for a new box spring.
Other than that it’s great! Loved sitting on the large balcony every day.

It was in a safe and great location with a view. It was a little tight for four, but we made it work.

This is a substandard unit badly in need of reconditioning. The lanai tables look original (1970s?) and are badly weathered. The webbing on the chairs is coming apart. It all needs to be replaced. The vinyl plank(?) flooring in the unit is so scratched up it looks like it was repurposed from a loading dock. The mat in the bathroom also hails from the 20th century, is worn out and ripped and I suspect impossible to clean. The kitchen light is burned out. At least three of the mismatched dishes were cracked. Our biggest complaint is that the VRBO listing showed a pool. We used it once before they closed it down for a couple weeks for regularly scheduled annual maintenance. We were definitely misled and extremely disappointed. We checked out five days early, paid for another place and we’re glad we did.
The unit has a good bed, nice views from the lanai and is centrally located. The same can be said for thousands of other places so choose from among those before renting this one.

Location to beach, stores, markets was fantastic! Looking to book the same place for spring break. Condo was very clean, plenty of linens and the kitchen had everything we need. Pool and hot tub were fantastic to enjoy the evening. Lobby staff were very helpful with any questions we had. Thank you so much!

You've got views of the ocean, Diamond Head and the Ala Wai in one fell swoop. What a lovely stay with a large refrigerator for staying in to cook. Lovely room that came with pool accessories, too.

The view is the most beautiful view I have ever seen. You will actually spend extra time and order in a couple times just to enjoy it more. Everything you need is here, AC, hairdryer, stove, fridge...everything you could ever want! Walk to the beach in a couple minutes through the best part of Waikiki. Close to the freeway if you want to adventure, close to all the shops and restaurants you could ever want. Literally perfect in every way for two people.

Upon arriving at the Island Colony building, my first impressions were great! Although the building is located 3 blocks from the beach, very nice atmosphere and friendly staff working at the building. We tried to see about checking in a bit early, as we arrived in Honolulu around noon, however we were told we have to wait until the 4pm check in given out by the condo owner. After arriving in the room, the view from the balcony is breathtaking. The bed was very cozy, a little on the softer side, but overall basic amenities inside the room (ie two burner stove, cooking and eating utensils, full size fridge and freezer, tv, bed, heater and AC, bath/shower and toilet). The bathroom is on the smaller side, as only one person can be in there at a time. Multiple people using the mirror or sink is not happening. We did have to buy toilet paper and paper towels during our stay, as only one of each was provided upon our arrival, and the hotel staff only supply keys and nothing else for the owned condos. The elevators run slow at times, and would sometimes take up to ten minutes to arrive at your floor. The pool area, laundry facility, and hotel store are located on the 6th floor and all seemed very nice, although we didn’t use any of those facilities as we were mostly exploring the island. There is no rooftop access as some of the pictures show, so your rooms balcony is the only view you will have from this condo. The hotel/condos are also located right in the middle of Waikiki, close to all of the dining and shopping options your heart desires. Overall a nice stay, but I think we could’ve gotten a cheaper deal at some of the other hotels in the area and received more amenities (ie beach/activities bookings on site, complimentary food/snacks, room service, etc.). Parking is 35 dollars per day, since our trip was 7 days, it cost an additional $210.

Our room wasn’t cleaned when we first arrived at night. So there was a bit of delay trying to arrange at the front for a temporary room the first night before moving back to our reserved room.
The staff at check in was very friendly. :)
