Apartment was cramped for 4 people, for example there were not enough chairs, we had to use the balcony chairs. 3 beach chairs and other beach equipment were available. The apartment was across the street from the main building, which is by the sea.

One of my favorite things about staying there was hearing the birds chirping every morning. The grounds were well maintained and we loved using the BBQ to cook our dinners. We really enjoyed having the ceiling fans in the living room and in the bedroom. It was nice to walk across the street each evening to watch the sunset on the ocean, just beautiful! I would stay there again.

The location was good - quiet for the most part and a convenient base for exploring the island by car. However the apartment itself is dark and the furniture is looking a bit old.

This apartment is just ok. The rooms are pretty dark and it’s definitely time for some new furniture/to paint the walls. It’s a good base for exploring the island (as long as you have a car) and the pool is nice but it is across a busy road.

The unit was warm and inviting. We loved that Unit 171 is a bottom floor unit. Easy for hauling our groceries from the car to the condo. No stairs to climb! The front desk staff was very courteous and helpful in assisting us with any needs that we had. Enjoyed barbecue dinners next to the ocean while enjoying fabulous sunsets. Would definitely recommend staying at Kona Bali Kai Unit 171.

Overall, it's a nice condominium. The address provided is that of the main office. The condo is actually on building 7 across the street to the north of the office. Quiet at night and everything worked fine. Places to eat in the main Kailua area are about 3-4 miles away.

We loved our stay at Kona Bali Kai in unit 171! This condo complex is in a quiet location, you get private access to putting your feet in the water and even BBQ’ing while watching the sunset. The condo we stayed in was really great! It was decorated very nicely, felt warm, and we were admiring all of the paintings. It was clean and had all the necessities we needed. The kitchen is fully equipped which became very convenient for us. The bed was comfortable and we have no complaints. We can’t wait to return!
