We are the new owners of Poipu Sands #225 and have completed a full renovation in June 2021 to make this space even more fabulous! This is one of the most updated units in the complex.
ABOUT THE CONDO:
-2 floors of spacious family accommodations (over 1300 sq ft).
-Entry on the 2nd floor with large living and dining rooms, kitchen, bedroom (double bed + kids bunk bed for age ~7 and under), adjoining full bathroom, and huge covered lanai.
-On the 3rd floor is the luxurious master suite with California King bed, full bathroom (dual vanities), and private lanai with sweeping ocean views.
-Unit sleeps a max of 6 people: 4 adults + 2 small kids; or 2 adults + 2 big kids + 2 small kids. Small kids are ~7 and younger and fit on our cute bunk bed. Floor futon can be made available for additional flexibility in sleeping arrangements.
-Washer and dryer in unit.
-Kitchen is fully equipped with large french door refrigerator, Cuisinart coffee maker, Burr coffee grinder, Vitamix blender, Instant Pot, pots, pans, toaster, microwave, hot water kettle, waffle maker, BBQ tools (for any one of the many community grills), etc. Everything you need to cook great meals at home!
-Gear closet is equipped with beach towels, beach chairs, snorkel gear, sand toys, tennis rackets, yoga mat, dumbbells, soccer ball, beach umbrella, and many other items to have lots of outdoor fun!
-Family friendly with children's items available upon request: pack-and-play (portable crib), books, toys, utensils/cups, games, car booster seat.
-Please note that our unit does not have AC (central AC and split units are not allowed by Poipu Sands HOA). We have brand new ceiling fans in all rooms and the unit gets great ocean breezes year-round.
-Entry to the unit requires walking up 1 flight of stairs.
ABOUT THE AREA:
-1 minute walk to seaside path to Makahuena Point/Grand Hyatt.
-5 minute walk to the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa with world class Anara Spa, Stevenson's Library (sushi and drinks), Ilima Terrace (breakfast buffet), Tidepools (seafood), Seaview Terrace (coffee and pastries/happy hour/dinner), and Dondero's (Italian).
-10 minute walk to the Poipu Kai Racquet Club with tennis courts, Kalapaki Joe's restaurant, and Poipu Mobile MD Clinic (urgent care).
-15 minute walk to Poipu Beach Park/Brennecke's Beach (and Brennecke's restaurant) via the Poipu Kai greenbelt.

Stayed here with family including 2 adults, 2 teens, 1 younger child. Very comfortable sleeping and living areas. Beautiful view from lanais. Great to hear ocean waves at night. Kitchen setup great for cooking at home and is stocked with some essentials. For beach fun boogie boards snorkel gear and beach chairs available. Walking distance to several beaches including Poipu which is great for snorkeling and is where sea turtles come to the beach at night. Closeby beach/cliff walking trail. Communication with host was very good. If you're interested in attending a luau, the Grand Hyatt is next door, great food and show. Grand Hyatt also has music nightly in their open air lounge. Would definitely stay here again

Such an amazing holiday in Jodee’s wonderful Poipu property. It’s location is fantastic for quick access to the beach and the sound of waves at night! The condo has all the amenities you would need on vacation, and is very clean and inviting. The kids particularity liked the vast green space, lanai, pool and beach toys available. We can’t say enough great things about our stay at BluEscape! I only hope we can return ourselves one day soon! Thank you Jodee!

The location was perfectly situated for beach excursions, beautiful trail walks w/ocean views, pool time, shopping, restaurants, excursions, shaved ice and so much more! The beds were of superior comfort, the home was ideal for the five of us, and stocked w/everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We have stayed at five different condos in Poipu, four in Poipu Sands, and this was the best hands down. It has been very nicely renovated, and is very well equipped with modern and high quality amenities. The furniture was all very comfortable, lanai, living room, bedroom - all of it. The two floor layout provided lots of privacy when our son and his wife joined us for one week. The views from both lanais were outstanding and we watched several beautiful sunsets with our coffee. The owner was excellent to work with, very prompt and professional in all our dealings with her. We will definitely look to return to BluEscape in the future, and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful place in sunny Poipu.

We spent 2 comfortable weeks in this bright, airy condo. The location is perfect - on the sunny south shore of the island, near shopping and convenient for day trips and beaches. Things we especially liked about the condo were: the handy bench outside by the front door, the roomy master bath shower with rain shower head, the sunrise view from the master bedroom lanai, the well-equipped kitchen with rice cooker and instant pot (and all the knives were sharp). We didn't use the downstairs bedroom. We thought putting bunk beds in the closet space was clever, but we did wonder where guests would put their clothes as there was no dresser in that room either. The only thing that was not clean were the large king bed pillows, which smelled musty and mildewed. When we removed the covers for washing, we could see that they were stained and in need of cleaning or replacement. We got 2 Costco pillows and used those instead. Overall, this is a very nice place. We would stay here again.

We love to walk/hike and having easy access past Shipwreck beach and beyond was fabulous. Jodee went out of her way to make our stay wonderful. She came 15 mins after we locked ourselves out! Her place is spotless and very quiet.. The kitchen has every gadget a person could ever need! We will hopefully be back.

The property is super clean and comfortable. All the amenities you need from a fully equipped kitchen, laundry room, beach gear and a cooler, plus the host also welcomes you with delicious treats and wine…Definitely a perfect place for families with children. I plan to stay at Poipu Sands in future trips to Kauai.

The property was very clean, updated and kitchen was well stocked. Jodee was excellent in communicating with us prior to our visit, offering restaurants, beaches, etc. Her information was prompt and spot on once we arrived at our destination. The condo offered great views of the ocean from both balconies. The greenbelts are beautiful for walking to and from beaches as well as to the Hyatt. The only thing I would add for those who choose to not rent a car is to mention the shuttle. It is difficult to get an Uber/Lyft as there are few drivers on the island and it is usually quite a wait for a taxi. However, once we discovered the shuttle everything got much easier not to mention the $0.25 senior fare one way! Our experience was wonderful and I highly recommend Jodee and this beautiful condo. .

Jodee is a thoughtful host and her communication was timely.
The property is in an awesome location, walking distance to the Grand Hyatt, beautiful beaches, and close enough to the ocean to hear the water at night through the wind swept palms. The property pool was a great space to relax. The condo has all the necessary amenities, lots of beach gear, and some thoughtful touches for littles including a train set and books. Note, there is no bathtub so be sure they’re good with showers.
Poipu is a perfect area to explore the island, less than 30 minutes from the airport, and don’t miss Polihale to the west and Tunnels to the north.
Overall, we loved our stay and appreciate the space very much.

The Blu Escape was the perfect condo in Poipu!! My husband and I loved everything about our stay. The beautiful view from the balcony, short walk to the beach, and overall location in Poipu was great for all our adventures around the island! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we could have needed and more and Jodee was quick to respond to our request to check in early when our flight got in earlier than expected! Highly recommend staying at this beautifully redone condo in Poipu!
