A perfect location right on the water. The balcony views can’t be beat. Nice swimming pool. Great wave action & sea turtles surfacing everywhere. Room 403A - very nice accommodation furnishings & kitchen gear was just right.

The location was amazing. It was wonderful to fall asleep listening to the ocean waves every night. We saw sea turtles swimming daily. The beach was a short and pleasant walk. We loved the south shore area, in general and it was easy to get to other areas of the island.

We loved our stay here. The location is amazing, right on the ocean. We loved sitting on the lanai watching the waves crash on the rocks. The accommodations were great too. We had four adults and two kids and everyone was comfortable. The beds were very comfortable too, better than any other vacation rental we’ve stayed at. Love the huge window in the master bedroom. It was wonderful listening to the ocean at night. The condo was very clean and only a short walk to the beach. Only thing we’d request is salt and pepper. Overall would definitely stay here again!

Our stay at this condo was spectacular! Furnishings were updated, comfortable and well stocked. Like others have said - NO condiments/spices left so make sure you bring/buy. My suggestions would be to get the cleaning staff to at least leave out one "cleaning" product. We bought a cheap bottle of glass cleaner as the dining table was glass and sponge wasn't working. And the sun umbrella was broken (but prob left by another family & we didn't try to use until end of 2 weeks) BUT everything else was superb. Chairs, snorkel gear, and beach towels there for the using. Nice lanai table for 4 to use for outside dinner/happy hour. These condos have easy access to Poipu Beach/Brenneke's. We have always stayed on the North side. This renewed our love for the South side. Will def visit again!

Our first trip as tourists to Kauai, what an amazing island and this property was the crown jewel. Exactly as advertised. Close enough for some great activities, but far away enough to not have the hustle and bustle of the other islands.

This condo was clean, exactly as advertised, quiet, with excellent beds and very well equipped kitchen. Nice selection of beach equipment including chairs, boogie boards and a variety of coolers. We were happy here. One caution. There was not a single food item - i.e. no salt, pepper, cooking oil, etc. Not a big negative, but be forewarned. Plenty of grocery shopping close by.

We looked at several properties before selecting this condo. Excellent choice. The unit is even nicer than the pictures display. Everything is very high quality. The view is amazing and location was exactly where we would pick again after seeing much of Kuaui for the first time. Looking forward to our next trip and we will be booking this unit again if available.

The views from the balcony and primary bedroom were stunning. We really enjoyed watching sea turtles feed off the rocks from the balcony. Accommodations were great and the apartment was well equipped with everything we would need for our stay. The pool was right next to the cliff side with stunning views. Relaxing stay and we look forward to coming back again!

We loved our stay! The space was just as described, clean, and in a great spot in Poipu. Sitting on the balcony with coffee in the morning or a nightcap in the evening was my favorite. There is not A/C but with the windows open the breeze was nice and we enjoyed listening to the ocean waves. We will definitely book again the next time we return to Kauai.

This condo has an incredible location, just a few feet above crashing waves and swimming turtles. Plenty of fans and sea breezes keep the condo cool. The swimming pool couldnt be closer to the ocean and the elevators make it easy to bring in luggage.The kitchen is roomy and well equipped and the close proximity to Poipu Beach makes this the ideal vacations spot families and/or couples. You could easily spend days just on the balcony and be spiritually recharged. Highly recommended!

Only complaint is that the parking spaces are tiny. I am so glad we did not have an SUV because even a sedan was difficult to get parked. Otherwise this location is outstanding. Noisy at night with the waves crashing but we found were able to sleep through most of it. Condo is as described and very nice and is located in a nice neighborhood. Ocean front!! We saw whales, turtles, dolphins and a seal! Great time and we would go back.

Our room was very uptodate and very clean. Very handy having a washer/dryer (hikes are very muddy in Kauai). View from balcony was amazing. Literally, our room (and the whole building) is directly on waterfront. You can see turtles, seals and whales right from your balcony. Tip - bring binoculars to see wild life closer! Overall this location and room were worth it. Also very close to several great beaches.

It was overbearing for my husband and myself to be so close to the continuous loud crashing of the waves against the Lava wall. If you enjoy that experience then you will like this condo. Being on the 4th floor helped but wouldn’t stay here again. The furniture was worn and the place is small. But you are in the Prime area in Poipu..

This was our 3rd time in Kauai and by far, one of the best places we’ve stayed in Poipu. It was amazing to sleep listening to the waves, and literally every time we looked out in the water, we would free a turtle! We would definitely stay there again! Love it!

My husband and I spent 2 weeks in this beautiful condo at Poipu Shores and we loved every minute of it. From our lanai we could see both the sunrise and sunsets, turtles, dolphins and whales. The sound of the ocean lulled is to sleep every night. If you like to save a little money by cooking meals at home this condo has everything you need. The only reason I did not rate this a 5 is the condo is showing a little age but being so close to the ocean the salt air is very hard on things. We would stay here again in a heartbeat because the view just can’t be beat!

We enjoyed being ocean front. The unit is nice and functional, except the dryer was broken. We were given access to another unit to use their dryer, so that helped.
The TV should be upgraded to something larger and more modern.

We spent 8 nights in this condo in late July/early August 2017. The condo matched our expectations based on the ad. The location is fantastic, and hearing the loud waves day and night outside our window was wonderful. Neighbors were quiet and respectful, and the pool was only crowded on a few occasions. Parking was always available.
The downside was the lack of A/C. My understanding is that most places in Hawaii don't have A/C, so it's a common issue. We didn't bring a thermometer, but I'm guessing the inside temperature was 75-80 degrees during our stay. A bit too hot and muggy for someone who is used to A/C.
The dryer was broken when we arrived, and it took from Wednesday arrival until Monday afternoon to get it fixed. The ceiling fan in the master bedroom was also broken and wasn't fixed until our final day of our 8 day stay.
The staff was nice and helpful. We won't stay at this condo again in the summer, but if we come back in the winter we may very well come back.

After careful scrutiny of properties at all the various websites (AirBnB, timeshares) we found this awesome property in VRBO. #403A is the place to stay - very spacious living quarters, upgraded kitchen counters, and bathrooms, spacious master bed and bath, great second bedroom with full and modern shower, fabulous location, great pool, breath-taking views, good privacy. Plenty of nice dishes, utensils, and other kitchen items so that we could have breakfast and/or leftovers heated up in the microwave. Also a dishwasher, and a washer and dryer that we didn't use as we were there for a short time, but nice to know they have it. Lovely dining area inside and on the balcony. We did have a problem with the hot water, and when it wasn't fixable in the short-term, were given the keys to a nearby condo so that we could use their hot showers; and the general manager, Jennie Waiwaile-Vega gave us a fair discount to compensate for the discomfort and disruption to our otherwise perfect vacation stay here. Very nicely handled. Property is near beaches and restaurants. It was awesome to see the famed Hawaiian sea turtles swimming in the ocean while we sat out on our lovely balcony and had breakfast. There is no AC in the unit, but the trade winds and ceiling fans, plus the stand-up fan in the master bedroom provided plenty of cool breezes. The guest room always stays cool. Would definitely come back here again and highly recommend it to travelers.

Our stay at Poipu Shores was what we needed after Waikiki! The location was perfect and the accommodations were "just what we were looking for." The kitchen was well equipped with the necessities: pots, pans, towels, beach chairs, hair dryers, soap, etc.The unit was clean and the view was perfection!
The only negative was that the other VRBO's I've stayed in have had many of the staples needed to cook a meal. It would have been nice to have salt and pepper, cooking oil, sugar, even catsup, mustard and a few jars of dried herbs leftover from a previous renter. My guess is most guest leave condiments used and unused (I know we left olive oil, red wine vinegar and a bottle of Triple Sec ). This was more like a hotel with a kitchen than a home but I would recommend it highly.

We stayed in this property in May. It was fabulous. You could not get any closer to the water. I will say that the surf is quite loud and we found we needed to actually shut the windows a few nights. Easy check in and the condo was very modern and clean. They did have beach chairs and an umbrella to use, however those could use an update! We would absolutely return! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
