Great location to access beach, restaurants, shopping town and extracurricular activities ( Zipline ATV's Helicopter rides, boat tours). Property and condo unit are clean and well taken care off. Owners and property managers were extremely easy and great to work with. Enjoyed easy beach access, very nice common area, chaise longue chairs provided. Only downside was parking, most days it was easy to park close to the condo / building, couple of times spots were were full but it was a short walk. Would have provided five stars overall, however,during our stay it was extremely hot and humid for that time of the year, unit does not have AC, you rely on the cross breeze via fans & louvered windows. when gone you need to lock the patio doors so no cross ventilation, it was a little warm when returning. At night it was very comfortable to sleep, did not get hot during the night, however, you sometimes hear any late night vacationers returning to their condos. Overall I definitely would recommend the unit and property. Cheers!

This is a lovely unit with a great location. The owners and manager were very easy to communicate with and very accommodating! The lanai opened up to a semi private grassy area, and is very close to the beach.
We will definitely reserve this until when we return.

This place was amazing! We had a wonderful time. This place was clean and very comfortable. It was just as fabulous as Mary had said it would be. It was so close to the ocean. You could sit on the lanai and hear the ocean waves, which I did every morning enjoying my cup of coffee. It even had beach chairs and a beach umbrella that came in very handy. It was just a wonderful trip, I would definitely rebook here again, and I will recommend this place. Mary was so accommodating with all of our needs. Just the right balance of hikes along the shore and restaurants all start within a short walk from the front door. Short drives to Koloa for busy shopping and groceries. National Botanical Garden up the road and on-site cactus garden are wonderful. Wish there was a vegetable peeler. We ate at the condo almost every night.

Great location to get to the beach and for easy parking. It could use a bit of updating, but since families book this unit for easy access to the beach with children, it’s understandable not to overdo any remodeling. We will book this unit again because we have a grandchild.

This was our 4th visit to Kiahuna and by far our best yet. The condo is SO close to the beach and fully equipped with chairs, boogie boards, all you need for the beach. The condo itself is so nicely furnished and comfortable. The kitchen is nicely stocked with everything you need for cooking. Extra perk of being on the ground floor. Highly, highly recommend this condo. We cannot wait to come back! The bed is also very comfy, as well as the couch bed. I cannot say enough great things about this unit. Mahalo for the memories and opening your home away from home to us!

Nice location with a couple minute walk to the beach. Easy access to the town and local resources. Placed on the sunny South Shore and within a little over an hour drive to the north shore and Waimea Canyon. Bring your sunglasses, your adventurous side and enjoy either hiking or snorkeling. Then return to relax at the condo.

My husband and I had a great stay at the Kiahuna Plantation. The condo is literally steps from the beach & there were beach items for us to use, so we did not need to rent anything. It was also nice to have a full kitchen & gas bbq grill is nearby, the lagoon. We will be definitely be back!
We did have problems with the WIFi, as the password did not work. We had to wait 2 hours after the check in time bc the room wasn't ready and were told they were low in staff. Also, condo was clean, but a little dusty. Overall, a good experience & would recommend.

We have been regulars at Kiahuna for nearly 35 years, always staying on the lawn. While this unit does not have the ocean view, it is tucked away and very peaceful. Our kids staying in 191 enjoyed coming over to have some quiet time on the lanai. Fun to be able to hear the live luau dinner music at the Sheraton on Monday nights too! You will hear the occupants of the upper unit walking around and most people are up at the crack of dawn with the roosters given the time difference. The shower has been upgraded and has great water pressure! The hide-a-bed was easy to set up and fairly comfortable for 5 nights. The K bed is firm. I had to fold up a blanket to make a pad for my shoulders. Clean kitchen w nice Cuisinart coffee maker and blender for smoothies. No spices or oils to cook with, but we had our own. Most units at Kiahuna do not have A/C because of the trade winds. This unit does not get as much natural air circulation, but there are ceiling fans and a couple of large floor fans. Beautiful island artwork throughout. Overall a nice unit, and great if you plan to do a lot of exploring on the south side.

My family and I had a wonderful time at the Kiahuna Plantation resort ! The condo had everything we needed and was nicely decorated ! We were very comfortable even if no air conditioning, it was not necessary at all ! We were only a few steps from the beach and enjoyed our private patio where we often had breakfast and supper. For a wonderful vacation we highly recommend this place !

This is an amazing place to stay! It's perfect distance from condo to the beach, so if you forget something you can just walk back (very quickly! only a couple of minutes!) And the outside green space is perfect with 2 young kids. And I can't say enough great things about Mary - she answered all my questions super fast and helped me with the booking. Thank you all again! Hoping to go again next year!!!

For being on the south side of Kauai, this condo is located very conveniently, near good places to eat and activities. There’s good walking right out the door south and easy hiking nearby at the Heritage trail with beautiful views. The nearby beaches are wonderful for bobbing in the waves or surfing. The condo is located away from the main road so there was no car noise. No drunken parties in nearby condos and we really appreciated that. Kids playing didn’t bother us because it was happy sounds & they settle down early. The condo had everything we needed. The only annoying thing was the noisy ceiling bathroom fan which was not in the room with the toilet and tub where it was really needed. It is located in an adjacent room with the sink. All in all, we would return. It was good for a three night stay.

Kiahuna Plantation is a great place to stay & Mary's condo just makes it even better. It's close to the beach, snorkeling, and surf lessons if you're into that. Nice lani & comfortable living space. The area is quiet & the beach area is never crowded. Highly recommend.

We loved exploring the beautiful property and spending time at the great beach. The location in Poipu was convenient. Our unit had lots of beach stuff for us to use which we made full use out of. The unit was also close to the beach and towel hut which was convenient. We stayed for 11 nights all together and were disappointed we couldn’t get fresh bathroom towels during that time. We paid an expensive cleaning fee to the resort but it was challenging to keep the unit clean for 11 days at the beach without more cleaning supplies. Overall loved the property and the ground floor convenience of this unit and would stay again as well as recommend it to others.

This is a really great condo at kiahina. We have stayed many times in many different locations at kiahuna. This one is unique because it is ground floor, shaded (many if not most of the lawn condos are exposed to full sun) so it would stay cooler even on the warmer days and nights. Very close to the large lawn and beach. It’s really the best of both worlds. Very clean. There is some very mild deferred maintenance that should be addressed. Overall I would give this place a 5*. Can’t wait to go back.

We have stayed at Kiahuna Pkantation several times, and the location of the condo is one of the best, near the beach and with a semi-shaded and private lanai. The closet is very well-stocked with boogie boards, chairs, etc. This unit is a bit worn in the kitchen and bathroom areas, but the furniture is updated and the beds comfortable. All in all, a fantastic place to stay and we will keep it on our list for the next time we stay at Kiahuna. Did not have any issues so didn’t deal with the owners at all, but they sent out a very nice welcome information package when we booked with helpful information. Thank you, Ray and Mary, for sharing your condo with our family.

What a gorgeous property. So glad we stayed here! Really beautiful beach just a min walk away, wonderful lodging with a nice lanai where we are breakfast every day. Beach hut on the property gives you beach towels for free and you can rent other equipment there - we rented a boogie for the week. Located near great shops and restaurants too!

Unit is fully stocked plus sun hats, chairs and umbrellas. Loved being steps from probably the best swimming beach in Kauai! Only negatives are no washer/dryer in this unit (others do have it) and the pool/resort is offsite, across the street and up a hill. We drove to the pool a few times but preferred the beach. There are lawn chairs on the grass overlooking the ocean or you can take the provided chairs/umbrella and sit on the sand. Rental kiosk for gear is right there, convenient. Sliding screen doors off back patio didn’t lock. We put in service order but it wasn’t fixed during our 2-week stay. Will want to get the ocean breezes at night so the screen doors need to be fixed. Overall we had a great time!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The "great lawn" in the resort and the extremely short walk to the beach are very hard to beat. The lawn was so nice to lounge and read a book or watch the sunset. We booked this trip to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary in 2020; of course that was cancelled. When I searched to rebook it this year, I was delighted to find this condo available for the 10 days we wanted to travel! The condo itself is so beautifully furnished and decorated (especially the framed artwork!); we found everything we needed to prepare meals there, and to be comfortable relaxing in the living spaces and especially on the lanai! My adult daughter and her boyfriend joined us for part of our stay, and celebrated with us to “renew our wedding vows” at the beach. The walk to the BBQ grills and to the beach areas is very short, so we could enjoy those areas with ease. The location of this ground level condo (no steps) was perfect for us, and we enjoyed our stay so much! We really hope to return some day in the future!

Our stay at Mary's condo was a wonderful experience. The Kiahuna Plantation is in a great location and as Mary said her condo is just steps from the beach. Great snorkeling and lounging area. The lanai is pretty private with a grassy area and beautiful flowers. The Plantation seems less crowded than other resorts we observed in the area. Very peaceful. We loved it so much that we rebooked for next year.

The property was just as expected, located in the beautiful Kiahuna resort. Perfect distance from the beach as well as nearby restaurants and shops. The condo is well maintained and nicely decorated. Love having a kitchen and the bathroom was roomy. Everything was very clean. The landscaping and gardens on the property are absolutely stunning. Don’t miss the orchid and cactus garden near the old restaurant (hopefully it reopens soon - looks like a lovely place for drinks and dinner on the lanai).

Comfortable place on the Poipu beach. We were visiting with our 2 kids and space was sufficient for us and beds were comfortable. Location is great especially for activities on the south and west side and for visiting Waimea canyon. The place is old though, so don’t expect updated kitchen, floor etc. Plantation style shutters and windows everywhere make it harder for noise isolation, so you will hear people walking and talking outside. There were beach chairs and a cooler bag in a closet but they were broken/rusty/dirty so we didn’t use them. It would have been nice to have some basic supplies beyond coffee - like salt, pepper, aluminum-foil/zip-lock bags etc. but we managed fine. Communication and check-in were great! I did not notice in the listing that the pool area is across the street on the other side, so it needs a 10-12 min walk from the apartment, but we did manage to visit there once and it was fun. Would recommend and love to stay here again!

Had such a wonderful time on this beachfront property. Everything is as pictured and mentioned. Plenty of bedding and pillows for the convertible sofabed. Kitchen had all the pots and pans, and eating utensils that one could use. Only steps away from the beach and plenty of lawn space that opens up to a partial view of the ocean. I love how the parking is not far from the door because of the hauling of grocery items or luggage to and from the car. My kids loved everything about this place. We were able to snag a glimpse of the luau happening next door to us (of the sheraton hotel) so that was a plus. Check-in was easy, laundry on site that's a short walk (bldg 10), pool across the street with a slide was also pretty nice. I would definitely stay here again on a future visit to kauai. Thanks for having us!!

Enjoyed staying at the property, walkable distance to the beach and restaurants. Host was very helpful with late check in and late checkout. enjoyed morning and evening walks to the beach. Property was equipped with lot of pans and pots and rice cooker and a grinder, pretty much had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

I have been coming to Kiahuna Plantation with my family for 25 years now - we absolutely loved this location on the property! Close to the main lawn, the main public beach area of Kiahuna, our own private lawn, next to the pond, a 5 min walk to Little Fish / Keokis, and beautiful sunset views from the lanai. We also loved having access to the Poipu Beach Athletic Club and going to the pool every day. It was perfect for the three of us (2 adults + our 2 year old daughter). Quiet, peaceful - our own little slice of paradise. And we loved having our own small private lawn, especially with a toddler so we could play and throw a football :) We would absolutely stay here again.
The unit was very clean and has a new, upgraded shower compared to most other units at Kiahuna which was really nice. There were ceiling fans, 2 strong floor fans, and a good cross-breeze with the wind - we didn't feel uncomfortable at night without A/C in August. We cooked many meals at home during our 10 day stay, which was great because we didn't feel like we always had to eat out. The kitchen had plenty of dishware & pots/pans, and overall the unit had everything we needed. The only thing that we hoped the unit might have (but didn't) were functional backpack beach chairs and an umbrella. Because we didn't have a car the first few days, it wasn't easy to go rent them.
Mary was incredibly responsive, and we were fortunate enough to be able to check in early since our flight arrived in the AM.
We hope to return again for our future trips to Kiahuna!
