Property was awesome. Owner contact for issues was excellent. TV remote needs work, very confusing. For us the laundry was down so it was very inconvenient. But otherwise it is an awesome place at a great location.

The unit was exactly as represented. Nicely furnished. Upon arrival there was a problem with the refrigerator. I emailed Daren the owner. He responded promptly and addressed the issue, making accommodations until it was corrected. He couldn't have been more responsive and followed through to make sure everything was satisfactory. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this rental and give Daren the highest rating for his attention to making things right.

Overall, we had a great time staying at this location. It was so nice to have a fridge, sink, cook top, oven, etc. Eating out is expensive in Hawaii so we made a lot of the food ourselves.
Darin was very responsive to our questions. The staff was very friendly too. I misunderstood the washer/dryer thinking they'd be in the property, but instead there is a central laundry area. Not a big deal, but one load will cost you $12 if you use their soap/fabric softener ($6 difference).

We had a fabulous time at KP 425! The condo was beautiful, exceptionally appointed, and so comfortable! We enjoyed the balcony so much! Loved the short walk to the beach and to the athletic center/hot tub and the short drive to fabulous restaurants. The owner was incredibly responsive the one time I contacted him. I can’t wait to return!

The condo worked out great and surpassed our expectations. It was super clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Location was great, area was quiet, with a short walk to the beach. We BBQed three times and each time the grills were sparkling clean, not all grimy/greasy like you sometimes see. The resort grounds were well maintained with friendly staff. We appreciated the boggy board, beach chairs and umbrella which we used almost daily! I would highly recommend and plan on staying in this exact condo next time I’m we are in Kauai. (Hopefully next year!). Thank you!

We stayed for a week in March and the condo was amazing. The condo was clean and well furnished, just as described in the listing. Location was great, a five minute walk to the beach. The pull out sofa bed worked perfectly for my daughter. The beach gear was much appreciated. We loved the open windows and birds every morning but that may not be for everyone. We would absolutely stay here again!

The whole property that this location is on is very nice and has fantastic vegetation to see. That being said, this unit is one of the furthest away from the beach and looks onto another hotel. Great inside but the view and location are just ok.

Smelled like the previous tenants had cleaned fish or crab in the sink and it took a bit of time for that to subside. It would be helpful to have a map to the check in location. Also, washer and dryer are available but not in unit.

We came for a well earned rest, and Darin's condo was perfect. Loved the lanai, breezes, quiet, out of the traffic, so we truly rested. Poipu beach was so much fun! The gym was great too. We ejoyed that every day. Darin was so responsive, beyond expectations. Would come back for sure.

We had a wonderful time staying at this unit! We checked in late at night and the process was very easy. The unit was exactly as advertised. The pull out couch was fine, the bedroom bed was comfortable. The unit had some extras (beach chairs, umbrella, and boogie boards) which was really lovely! The property was centrally located for what we used it for (beach and pool) and the athletic club was a great addition. Darin was really responsive and really helpful when we had a question. Overall, great place!

We had a great time staying at Darin's home in Poipu. We were just a few minutes from the beach, and across the street from an athletic center which was great for hot tubbing / relaxing.
We will note that the athletic center is very family friendly - so if you're traveling with little ones you'll love it. If you're looking for a more romantic / quiet place, we'd recommend the beach instead!

My husband and I were in town for a few days on a quick business trip. We were originally just going to book a hotel, but were very glad we chose this instead. We had a relaxing space to come home to with a comfortable bed and peaceful lanai. It's a very nice unit and convenient for walking, dining, and shopping. Thanks for a great stay.

Unit was very nice. Decor was nice. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The beach chairs were welcome since we spent a lot of time in Poipu Beach watching the turtles and the monk seal sleeping on the sand.

The apartment was nicely appointed and equipped and everything worked. We were a little disappointed that the property was not closer to the beach but the five minute walk across the parking lots was not too bad. We were surprised to find the mandatory cleaning fee, especially a mid week fee to get three towels replaced. We were surprised to find a cleaning fee at the end off our stay. The only negative comment about the apartment would be that every night around 3 AM a number of roosters crowed loudly to communicate with what seemed to be other roosters on neighboring islands.

Fantastic location in Poipu, and walkable to so many great spots (beaches, restaurants, coffee shop). Very comfortable bed, and works well even for 4 people. AC was great to have during those hotter afternoons to stop in and cool off. Take advantage of the athletic club access, it's done really well. Can't wait to be back!

The apartment 425 is great. Nice host , clean , nice furniture, well equipped kitchen! It was also nice to have beach chairs and boggy boards available. Nothing to complain about. Our one complaint would be that the property has no pool. There is access to a pool across the street at the aquatic center , but is more a toddler pool than for swimming. If pools are not your thing , you are good !

This was the perfect place for my family to stay. The condo had everything we needed and it was nice to have the extra space of a condo for some down time when we needed it (our kids are 5 and 10). We enjoyed breakfast out on the lanai each day. The close proximity to the beach, restaurants, and shops were great, too, and the pool/athletic club were particularly well-suited for my young kids. Finally, Darin was excellent to work with. I highly recommend this VRBO!

Great location with a beach in walking distance & tons of restaurants nearby. We stayed in 3 different condos during our vacation in Kauai and this was by far the most beautiful and spacious one! The A/C and full-sized fridge were great, along with the beach chairs and beach goodies to use. Darin was very communicative and helpful with questions we had. The balcony was a great spot for bird watching and relaxing. Condo is located on the 2nd floor in a building somewhat removed from the rest, offering up a quieter experience with ample parking. Some people complained of roosters awaking them at 4am - just run the fan in the bedroom and you won't hear them! We did, however, hear kids running above us that sounded like they were doing gymnastics early morning ;0. A really great spot to serve as your home base. Make sure to watch the turtles coming up on the beach at sunset on Poipu Beach - a beautiful experience! Salt Pond Beach was also a great place to swim and hang.

Darin has done a great job with the condo. The atmosphere was perfect. It was about a 5 min walk to the beach and also close to all the other amenities. Poipu is a great spot and the plantation does a great job of maintaining the grounds. The beach was also perfect for what we were looking for. The condo had a few foldable beach chairs and a couple umbrellas which made the time at the beach even better. Overall great experience.

On check there were a few minor cleanliness issues but nothing too drastic. The cleaners just were not super thorough. The place itself is great, great location, and a lot of fun things like chairs, boogie boards umbrellas all available to make a perfect day at the beach. Highly recommended!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the condo in Poipu. My wife and college-aged son stayed for a week. With my son taking the convertible sofa in the main living area, it was the perfect size for all of us.
The condo is an easy 5 minute walk to the beach. A couple of times, since we had so much stuff to carry, we drove down closer to the beach access and easily found parking. Either way, it was easy to get to the beach. We enjoyed being able to use the beach chairs that were provided, and the towel exchange at the beach hut was convenient.
The grounds of the property are beautiful and perfectly maintained. The staff were friendly and very helpful!
We would not hesitate to book again. Mahalo!

I wish I could give this review 4.5 stars. The room was great... clean, well stocked, updated, etc. We have nothing bad to say except for the roosters! The room only has shutters (no glass windows) and we were woken up every morning at 4am to the sound of roosters crowing. The resort is also nice and well maintained. I'm just unclear as to why they have a high resort fee when they don't offer any amenities to the guests...no pools, restaurants, etc. Fortunately there is an easy and close walking path that took us to nearby beaches and restaurants.

The condo was great! Well furnished, modern, clean, and comfortable. Wifi and AC worked well. The kitchen is stocked with enough basic equipment. You get new fresh towels every few days, nothing to stress about. Location is super convenient for access to both Kiahuna and Poipu Beach.
Only issue I had was with the check-in process. As a word of warning to anyone arriving in the evening, the Kiahuna Plantation front desk closes at 8 PM. For late check-in there is a lockbox outside the front desk building and you need a code to access your temporary key. You have to call the after hours number to get this code. I wasn't given a heads up on this process and had to piece it together myself as the staff member on the after hours number was not very detailed or helpful.

This is a wonderful property, located in the back of the condo resort. Updated, clean, and well maintained.
However, if it is to be used as a VRBO with people wanting to stay and cook, it falls short.
The kitchen is poorly stocked, and we needed to buy a lot of items which in other VRBO properties, I have not.
There are minimal amounts of hand soap, dish detergent, dish soap and cooking supplies. No food storage containers, and minimal supply of cups and dishes for 4 people.
If we needed trash bags, you had to go all the way to the property management co. and get them.
You are charged for clean towels, sheet changes, and trash empty services, which to me, is a joke. We had a friend stay at another place on property and they paid for none of those things.
So, we had to either launder our own towels and sheets (and pay), or pay the resort for clean.
The resort also runs out of beach towels daily, so if yours is dirty, you better stock up, we had to check back often.
While the condo is nice, it's the little things that make a difference. We won't stay here again, but will stay in Kiahuna.

My wife, our three children and I stayed here for three weeks! It was an amazing time that we’ll never forget as a family. The condo unit is perfectly located, close to restaurants, athletic club, hotels, coffee shops, a golf course, and most importantly the beach! We swam in the ocean every day after walking just a few mins through the gorgeous Kiahuna Plantation Resort - some of the nicest landscaping I’ve ever seen. And if you have kids, the open grass area near the beach hut was ideal. We made friends with two different families there and enjoyed sunsets over the Pacific each and every night! Darin was the best VRBO host and super helpful - I talked to him on the phone several times before our stay, and he gave me all the good tips and tricks about the area. When I come to Kauai again, I will absolutely stay here!! Aloha!
