The Nohea villa in Kamili'i village is an ideal destination for a visitor to the spectacular island of Kauai.
While it could be said, that the open concept floor plans of the units in Kamili'i village are pretty much the same, Nohea's remarkable seat on top of the Kamili'i compound, places it literally above all the others. Crowning Princeville's sloping peninsula, this location provides unique access to both the refreshing trade winds streaming into the unit off the Pacific and to the iconic views of the Hihimanu mountain ridge.
It has to be seen to be believed.
The panoramic view from Nohea's second floor balcony extends one hundred and eighty degrees: from the nearly 5000 foot peak of Namalokama, to the legendary crest of Bali Hai, shyly peeking through stands of majestic Norfolk pines. This spot is so popular with Nohea's guests that the balcony chairs are changed every year. Even the preparation of a simple meal in Nohea's fully stocked modern kitchen, can become an indelible memory, when shared with the staging backdrop of a 3000 foot waterfall plunging off the emerald and jade vertical flanks of Mamalahoa…not to mention the intensity of the rainbows.
The villa framing this 5.1 million year old volcanic masterpiece is luxurious, exotic and comfy. From the playful faux palms, vaulted ceilings and the rich ebony hardwood floors of the upper story, to the well appointed twin primary bedrooms on the entry floor, Nohea aims to continue, uninterrupted, the relaxed beauty of the island of Kauai throughout the unit. Freshly remodeled, everything is brand new, extending all the way down to the accessories, that include: cutting edge LED tv's, crisp cotton sheets and plush towels. Nohea's guests will find ample bedroom closets, adjoining bathrooms, a jacuzzi tub and a laundry. This villa strives to remind you of all the best parts of the utility of your home.
If you absolutely have to do some work or print out boarding passes, you'll find a semi private office with a printerscanner (that's compatible with all your digital devices) just outside the entry floor's bedrooms. To keep everything in perspective, the work station adjoins a spiritual garden in the entry's patio.
Nohea's enclosed garage is stocked with chairs and beach toys that are helpful companions at many of the nearby beaches, including world class Hanalei bay and Queen's bath. Of course, this villa shares all of the other superb amenities of Kamali'i village, including a pool, hot tub jacuzzi and barbecue. The famed Makai golf course is just across the street, with Princeville's shopping center markets and Hanalei town, just minutes away.
The pictures try to tell the story.
Nohea's guests, booking returning visits, attest to the villa's popularity and to the certainty of just how life enriching a visit to the island of Kauai is, and how refreshing a stay in Nohea's Princeville remains.

Note About Seasonal Gnats
We want to ensure guests are aware that during the winter months in Hawaii, gnats are naturally more prevalent due to the tropical climate. These tiny insects are attracted to light and are especially common in lush, green areas like ours. While we take every measure to maintain the property, their presence is a natural part of the environment and beyond our control.
To minimize their impact during your stay:
Keep doors and windows closed as much as possible.
Ensure screens are securely in place. Please note, however, that some gnats are so small they may get through even the finest mesh screens.
We appreciate your understanding as you experience the natural beauty of Hawaii’s unique ecosystem.

Our family of 5, two adults, 3 boys (22, 19, 17) all throughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely property. The split floorpan workout out great, plenty of space to spread out, and the unit was extremely well stocked. But the absolute best part was the incredible view from the windows and balcony. Stunning! We all want to come back and hated to leave. Booking this property, there was several forms and things to fill out, but once that was all done, process was simple. The extra fans were appreciated. Very good communication and text messages leading up to our stay.

This home is beautiful, well equipped, and has outstanding views of the mountainous terrain. The community is gated and very quiet. We didn't use the swimming pool but they did have plenty of beach and pool towels available. There was 5 beach chairs, 2 beach mats, 2 bogie boards and some sand toys for when you head to the beaches. I loved the location, so much to do with a lot of beaches close by. They also had a binder full of suggestions of where to eat and things to do. When we had a question about parking they got back to us immediately and was very helpful. Two thing to note, there is no air conditioning (not uncommon), so make sure you close all the shades while you're gone or it will get quite hot in the house. Second thing is that there is a quite a lot of steps for you older people with hip and knee issues and people with small children. It would not stop me from renting this place again but just so you're aware. It was fabulous!

This was one of the nicest vacation rentals I have stayed in. Very well furnished and comfortable. Great view of mountains from back patio. Next to golf course. Close to food and beaches. There is no air conditioning but that not an issue for anyone except sleeping the first night. I’m used to cooler nights. They do have lots of fans and we had all windows open. We would definitely stay there again.

The property is clean and lovely. The handbook was very helpful - what to do with recycling, trash, check -in & out. There are several books in the home about the history of the area, very interesting to learn about Hanaleai Town. I felt we were respectful and quiet - I met some of the permanent residents and got a feel for what it'l like to actually live on the island. I appreciate the tips and suggestions for expeditions!

This property was perfect for our family of 6 during our vacation to Kauai. We had all the comforts of home and appreciated the use of beach equipment. The villa was a bit warm in the evening, but cooled down at night.

Everything about this condo is perfect; It exceeded all of our expectations. Road to Hanalei is open only certain times of the day and is down to a one lane road, so expect delays getting in/out. Umbrella, beach chairs, and cooler for the beach!

Took the wife and 3 kids to Kauai. Stayed at this wonderful place that had more than enough room for all 5 of us. Fantastic location with so many close amenities and places to venture to. Would recommend to family and friends!

The condo is in a great location in Princeville and extremely clean and well decorated! There are a lot of “don’ts” regarding the beautiful wood floors, so not place for children! The lighting was very poor in the kitchen and family room area, but the bedrooms were very comfortable. There is a great mountain view from the small balcony for two! The complex is very quiet and clean.
