This property does need some updating. Entry door and slider did create some problems. While the tv didn't work...the owner did secure a new one before I left. The bed was comfortable and the linens appeared to be new. The owner's communication was fabulous and a lovely view. With some updating this would be a great stay.

My husband and I stayed here and absolutely loved it. We’d spend the days at the small beach, snorkeling (so many turtles and lots of fish!) and eating delicious shaved ice from Riptides. Evenings we could sit on the patio and watch the ocean, or walk around the other side of the building and watch the sunset. We had dinner at Beach House - it’s on the other side of the building - which was great (recommend reservations). The place was clean and well stocked. No A/C, but with the windows open on the patio and in the bedroom there is a nice breeze most nights, and other nights we used the fans. It was comfy. Close proximity to Waimea Canyon for beautiful hiking. Noel was a very responsive host, and let us check in early so we could put groceries in the fridge. It was like staying at a family member’s house. :) Would definitely stay there again.

A friend and I stayed for a week in this fabulous condo. Sitting out on the patio in the morning with a cup of coffee was the most relaxing, enjoyable, beautiful thing I’ve done in years. We didn’t want to come home!

We enjoyed our Kauai vacation very much! Neither of us had been to Kauai before, and the "Garden Isle" perfectly describes the island. Beautiful! Our ground floor condo was mostly good and the grounds well-tended, though there were both pros and cons to the overall experience. The pros: the waterfront setting was wonderful. Waking up to the sunrise on the cove was special. Beaches and shopping nearby. The space was adequate for our needs, and the online photos were accurate. The cons: While there were ceiling fans over the bed and the dining table, there was no AC, and I didn't think to ask about it. Mostly it was fine, just a little stuffy/humid when coming in from the day's adventures. Not all of the condos in the complex have AC, so not necessarily unusual. Unfortunately, one big negative was that there was a bug problem . . . cockroaches, to be exact. I let the owner know right away, and they quickly responded to the problem, which we very much appreciated, but it did impact our overall experience. Our travel buddies stayed on another floor of the complex and were satisfied.

The condo is Wonderful…the listing of the condo & amenities are spot on!
The bed & the sheets are so comfortable. There is a public walk way in front of the condo, but there is not a lot of foot traffic.
We loved our stay & would return.
If you are interested in an amazing beach ride on horseback check out CJM STABLES a few miles down the road. Private rides are great for more experienced riders & those wanting a more one on one experience.
Koloa Fish Market for Poke & Plate Lunch very good. Koloa Juice Bar for Healthy Juice & Kombucha…they will be adding more to the menu soon.

This was my husband and I’s first time to Kauai, and our rental choice at Kuhio Shores was above & beyond perfect. The description of the condo was extremely accurate which included many helpful amenities & surrounding attractions. The owner was extremely kind & very attentive with making sure everything was top-notch. We will definitely book the same location again in the future due to the hospitality & attention to detail. Plus…location is the best for the sun. By noon the lanai is shaded. First floor was the best. We could walk out and watch surfers, etc. lots of guide books, chairs, umbrella and boogie board.
Con…the unit needs an update. It’s pretty dated. No air conditioning made it warm inside.
The location made it a wonderful base.

We had such a. Wonderful time staying at the condo. We celebrated our honeymoon in the perfect place. The view is spectacular and it is a nice quiet place. We will definitely book with Noel again.
To top it off, our flight didn’t leave until late in the evening. Noel was kind enough to give us a late checkout time.
You will not be sorry you booked this condo!

Really great property with so many extras . Property has beach towels , chairs , coolers , cooking items and spices . We loved our stay here . You can see and hear the ocean at this property .Beach for snorkeling was very close and so were many shops and restaurants We loved staying here . Noel was very kind and very easy to communicate with … after we left and checked into our next rental on the other side of island my wife and I both said how we wanted to go back to Noel’s condo .. defiantly rent this place you won’t be sorry it was truly wonderful ! We can’t wait to stay here again in the future .

We have been traveling to Kauai for over 50 years now but have never rented at this location. We enjoyed the condo and grass outside this ground floor unit, which had perfect sun in morning and shade in afternoon. The only major negative is no pool, which every other complex of this size seems to have. That was assumed by us and should be clarified in listing . Also every unit we have ever rented or owned has had a washer and dryer in the unit. The ones here are in the main complex and are coin operated, which is inconvenient. Other than these concerns it is clean and in a gorgeous setting over a private cove which is ideal for scenery and snorkeling.

You'll notice right away here that you're renting from the owners, not an indifferent management company. Exceptional communication throughout, never intrusive.
Basics: unit was super clean, excellent kitchen supplies. Normal wear and tear -- be sure to tell Noel about any issues so he can address them.
Location: #103 is the third unit from the road. Most importantly it is beyond the large hedge which obstructs the views of #101 and 102. This unit looks east across the small bay in front of Prince Kuhio park, down to the edge of Baby Beach. We liked being on the ground floor, able to walk directly out onto the grass.
Snorkelers have told me there is good snorkeling right in this bay, but entry/exit is over rocks. We walked the very short distance to adjacent Lawa'i Beach by the Beach House which also has good snorkeling and much easier entry/exit.
This is a wonderful part of the Poipu/Koloa coast, much quieter than Poipu Beach but still in walking distance.

It was in a great location to see everything we wanted. The condo is quiet and perfect for my wife and I. The patio was 20’ from the water in its own cove. Like it’s own slice of Heaven. We have been to several Islands but our first time to Kauai, it’s definitely our favorite.I don’t do a lot of reviews and there’s always something someone can complain about. But this was exactly what we wanted in a vacation.

We loved our stay here! The location was perfect. You can snorkel and surf right off the property. It was so nice having a kitchen on Kauai because it wasn’t always easy getting into restaurants. Absolutely the best honeymoon spot we could have asked for.

Great, affordable location right in the water. This place has all the amenities, dishes, towels, beach chairs/toys that you need.
Be advised there is no air conditioning, so evenings can be warm.

Perfect spot right on the beach that had everything we could possibly need to cook, go to the beach, or enjoy a night watching the waves. Plenty of fans to keep us cool since I was prepared knowing that places on the island do not have AC which is not a problem as the winds and fans kept us cool. The king bed was amazing. Thank you for a wonderful week in paradise.

This kuhio shores condo was perfect for our stay! Walk right out to see turtles or scan the horizon for whales. All the cooking equipment we needed and the beds were very comfy! I’d definitely reccomend this property!

This property was stocked with everything you would need for the beach. It even had walking sticks we used on the Kalalau Trail. It was lovely to sit on the deck chairs in the afternoon with the ocean so close. Beaches and eateries were close by too.

We arrived and had requested and received an early check in.
The unit was warm, but windows and fans on. (No AC in the unit). The fans helped on 90% of the days, others it was muggy, but that is Hawaii.
The location and view was incredible.
The shores were rocky and beach a little difficult to navigate. But it seems that is the Kauai beach situation.
We saw lots of turtles and the waves lulled us to sleep each night.
Many kitchen items were left and useful. We left some as well.
Beach items available to use and patio very nice. Easy with the screen door, it is a little hard to close.
Parking was easy each day, but word to the wise, DO NOT PARK under the TREES! Birds everywhere.
The restaurant at end of the property had good food and great views, we after their twice.
Convenient location to many shops, restaurants, and attractions.
I would definitely return to this property.

We had a wonderful week at Kuhio Shores! Plenty of excellent restaurants nearby and getting to watch the spear fishers and and turtles each morning right in front of the lanai was amazing! And last but not least Baby beach is a hidden gem right around the corner! We loved our stay and hope to be back!

Very close to Kukui’ula shopping center with restaurants, Longs, surf shops. The condo has great ocean views. Resorts & popular beaches are right down the road. Condo is right next door to the Beach house restaurant. Walk across the street to see the birthplace of Prince Kohio. The condo is well stocked with everything you would need to cook for yourself. There are board games to keep the kids busy. A wii (you can also use as a DVD player). Beach chairs/umbrella, coolers, boogie boards,fins, etc all in the bedroom closet really come in handy. Bed is comfy, even pull out sofa bed is good! Laundry room (you will need to get quarters) in the complex. Host has great communication. Perfect spot for families.

Awesome stay, it was like bringing home to another beautiful place. Everything was right there. One of the biggest things about traveling is not having the amenities and having to go to the store to get various things, however this trip everything was available, made the stay so peaceful and beautiful. Spent a week with my daughter here relaxing - couldn’t ask for a better location to everything. Two minute walk from the beach and a 20 minute walk to shopping!!

The ground floor condo is in a great location with 2 snorkeling areas within a 5 minute walk. Turtles arrive every day with the high tide to feed on the rocks in the cove and the sunsets were incredible. The condo is also walking distance to Poipu Beach if you want a sand beach. It’s also only a thirty minute drive from the airport with Costco and Safeway conveniently located on the way. We could not have asked for a more ideal location. The condo was clean and the bed was comfy, but the bathroom and stove could use some updating. New towels are needed too and more than 3 offered for a 10 day stay. A fruit bowl or flowers would also provide the small touches that take a condo from 4 to 5 stars. We also would have appreciated a call or text checking to make sure we had everything we needed. It would have also been helpful to have a booklet with area highlights. If there was one, it was not evident. However, the location is 5 stars.

Staying in this unit at Kuhio Shores was perfect for us! Every morning we enjoyed a beautiful sunrise from the comfortable patio furniture on our lanai. The ocean was literally just steps out of our door. Not only was our king sized bed in the bedroom extremely comfortable, but our 18 year old son said that the pull out couch was super comfortable too. This unit was equipped with everything that we needed, including beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers and boogie boards. The snorkeling around Kuhio Shores is some of the best on the island, that even the commercial companies bring there customers here. We had perfect weather, perfect accommodations and a perfect vacation! The owners are wonderful as well and really went the extra mile for us! We would definitely come back here again.
