We had a great time and loved that they supplied extra things like soap, toilet paper, laundry pods and kitchen essentials without having to buy it. 22a is about a 15 minute walk to the pool. You can also drive too. There is some parking spots. We saw a wild turkey !

We were thrilled with our stay in this beautiful condo! It had everything we needed, and was even more luxurious and beautiful than the photos! The location was lovely and peaceful and we walked down to the Ocean Club to watch the sunset, swim, eat, and work out overlooking a 180 degree view of the breathtaking ocean! My son also enjoyed the basketball hoop by the tennis courts. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to enjoy some meals at home, and Thomas & Gail were so responsive and helpful! The property is immaculately cared for and the location is ideal (perfect weather, convenient for trips all around the island). We even walked over to the Hilton next door along the oceanfront walking trail. It was an amazing trip! Mahalo!

Great home, good location (if Waikoloa is where you want to stay), near shops and grocery, close to the beautiful Hapuna Beach. Home was well stocked, good communication when needed, the Ocean Club pool, food, drinks, views and service were great. Workout facility view was amazing! One note on Ocean Club pool, no play balls in the pool (one thing the kids and I love to do in the pool), strictly enforced!

The carpet was very dirty along with the ottoman and the entire unit needed dusting especially the blinds and the patio needed sweeping and dusting. We stayed here last year and had a different experience. We have stayed at many units in this resort but I don't think we would chose this unit again unless the owner will change housekeeping. A side note, Irish Spring soap is harsh - it might be wise to provide a different brand.

This was our third time to this fabulous property. Loved our unit! The location is perfect, close to stores and restaurants. The pool area and the workout facility are the best! We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this fabulous condo! It was very clean, spacious, comfortable, peaceful and quiet. Thomas and Gail are excellent hosts! They were so responsive to questions and provided me with useful and valuable information about the area.
After full days at the nearby beaches and exploring the Island, we would catch the beautiful sunsets and enjoy dinner at the Ocean Club most evenings. The food was excellent and there was live music.
We would love to stay here again on our next visit to the Big Island.

This was our second time staying in this condo. It’s beautifully decorated, well stocked, and clean. The owners/hosts have gone out of their way to make sure their guests have everything they need while on vacation. The kitchen had every item we needed to stay in and make our own meals. There was a closet full of beach chairs, snorkel gear, pool floats, beach towels, and ice chests which came in handy on the days we went to the beach. The Ocean Club and resort style pool were our favorite place to watch the whales & the beautiful sunsets. All of the beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are big. It’s a quiet community. You will feel right at home. I would definitely recommend staying here. It will exceed your expectations.

Very well kept and updated property with all amenities described. Comfortable beds; nice linens and there wasn’t one thing that we needed that this property didn’t have. Excellent area close to shops, beaches, and restaurants with local fare. Sunsets from the Beach Club poolside are stunning. There is no way to describe the views that will do it justice. Will definitely book again without hesitation. Heaven on earth! There was no need to contact anyone during our stay, however prior to check in and when we texted to let them know we were sadly leaving…they responded almost immediately. Thanks Tom & Gail. This was our first visit to HI. We wanted something really nice that made the event feel special. 22D absolutely met those expectations. The unit is very clean and cozy. Wish we could have stayed longer. I would suggest a chaise lounger on the deck…or chairs that recline. We sat out back a lot, and wished we could recline at times. We will definitely plan to stay here again on our next visit.

We loved 22A! The balcony has a great view of the grounds and the beds were comfortable. It was VERY clean and well kept. The pool area was super nice and the staff was very helpful. The only thing I would recommend is if you are staying in the guest bedroom to make sure the blinds are shut during the day. My kids got a bit hot in there even with the AC on. In short, this is exactly what we wanted:safe, comfortable and well stocked. Beds were very comfortable, plenty of beach items for use and perfect for what we needed. Nice gym with peloton bikes, peaceful pool and comfortable space. The lanai faces a green space and other condos which allows for noise to carry and was a bit disrupting to the otherwise peaceful time but was a minor annoyance among an otherwise lovely stay.

Fantastic stay on the big island. The condo was exactly as described, but even better! My husband & I absolutely loved staying at this 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo on the Big Island. The kitchen was well stocked & had every utensil we needed to make dinner at home every night. There was a closet full of beach chairs, beach towels, boogie boards, beach mats, and a cooler. The resort, Hali i Kai, is beautiful. The pool & Ocean Club restaurant & bar were our favorite place to watch the sunset. We’ve stayed at many different places in Waikoloa Village, and this was by far our favorite place. Unit 22 in Hali’i Kai is fantastic! We spent 13 beautiful days there and hope to return next year. The unit is equipped with everything you need including a rice cooker and slow cooker! We stayed with another couple and there was plenty of room for the 4 of us. The on-site restaurant serves delicious food with an amazing view. We highly recommend this rental - just leave some time for us!

The Hali i Kai community is very quiet. It is located close by the best beaches in big island. In the evening was really quiet and the beach club was really nice to take some sun and rest in the jacuzzi. Thomas and Gail were really nice and answer to me all my questions. This rental had everything! So clean and modern in a gated community in a great location. The moment we drove up to the gates we were like “wow!” And then again when we opened the door! Less than 5 minutes from A-bay with a beach that has everything-gear you can rent and trips you can book. Fully stocked kitchen with everything you could possibly need. Completely stocked with beach items-coolers, towels, chairs, toys, etc. Laundry inside your unit. A huge corner balcony with view of the grounds-perfect for morning coffee with the birds and evening drinks. Very quiet and relaxing. Ocean club with pool, food, bar, gym and the most amazing sunsets ocean side. And the layout was great-2 very private bedrooms-one in front and one in back. We will definitely stay here anytime we come to the Big island!

This was an awesome property in a great location (both within the property grounds as well as in the Waikoloa area of Hawaii). It easily accommodated 2 adults and 3 teenagers. There was a full kitchen (and icemaker) as well as an outdoor bbq just a few feet from the building. the host provided nice sheets and towels and even beach gear like chairs and boogieboards and ice-chests. We also had access to the property "Beach Club" with a great pool and view of the sunsets. The hosts were VERY reachable and gave us good advice on local attractions and vendors.
We absolutely loved our stay and want to return to this property the next time we come to Hawaii.

We had a wonderful time with our kids while staying at this property. The unit is upstairs, so it is not for people with mobility issues. It was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. We appreciated having a separate bedroom and bathroom to ourselves. Our kids are teenagers, so they also liked having their privacy as well. There was beach equipment for use and the kitchen was stocked with utensils, making it very easy for us. The Ocean Club was a nice spot to enjoy sunsets and get a bite or drinks. We loved this location and can't wait to come back again.

Grounds are beautifully laid out for privacy and the right amount of shade after a hot beach day. The fabrics and art in this condo are just beautiful. It looks like interior designers had their way with an unlimited budget. Sitting on the lanai for breakfast with all the birds singing is an ideal Hawaii dream come to life. We stayed here with our two Millenials and their SOs, who were happy to share a bedroom with two beds like a hotel room and not need to sleep on a sofa bed. It’s hard to find a place for six people. We found the kitchen well-stocked (air fryer!) and easy for many people to use. The washer and dryer were heavy duty and convenient. We thought we were going to be in Kona-Kailua but this is north of the airport, 1/2 hour away. There are some beautiful beaches in the area, but the best snorkeling is one hour or more away (Two Step and Captain Cook Monument).

This is a lovely condo. It is right inside the entrance to the HalI'i Kai which made it convenient for coming and going. The kitchen is well stocked for eating in and there was a closet full of beach towels, a cooler, even tennis rackets. Because the lanai faces north it was nice and cool to sit outside even in the warm afternoon. We would definitely consider renting this unit again the next time we are on the Big Island!

This is a beautiful condo in a gorgeous community. On top of that Thomas and Gail are great hosts with excellent communication throughout the process. I am extremely picky when it comes to cleanliness and I can honestly say this might have been the cleanest place I have ever stayed in. Everything was spotless down to the blinds. Perfect space for our family of four (two older teens). There is a golf course right down the street. My wife and daughter loved the pool area at the complex and we ate a couple of meals at the pool clubhouse...the food and service were great. Right down the street are two decent sized retail areas with shops and restaurants. Highly recommend the Rum Shack. Avoid A-Bays restaurant...terrible service. Again, I highly recommend staying here...tremendous condo.

This was an amazing place to stay. The condo community was beautiful and the pool is one of the best we have been to. The Beach Club had great food. The location was wonderful, close to the water and beautiful sunsets. The condo itself was clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. We love staying at Halii Kai.. The unit is nicely decorated and is very clean . The kitchen is fully equipped with all the conveniences and comfort of home. The only issue we had is the AC doesn’t really cool the unit. We kept all the doors closed but the temp in the unit remains at 84 in the evenings. We didn’t want to open the windows bc there are a lot of bugs outside which is not unexpected due to the tropical climate. Otherwise we had a great time and would definitely come back.

We loved our stay here! So many thoughtful amenities-that went above and beyond for a VRBO! We loved having beach chairs, umbrella, and coolers to use at the beach. The boogie boards were great for first time snorkelers! The pantry was stocked with tea and basic needs items. We stocked up at Costco and really enjoyed making our own breakfasts and lunches that we took along as we toured the Big Island! The location is perfect and a great starting point to see the entire island. The beds and pillows were super comfy and the towels and bedding were top notch! Clean and comfortable 2 bdrm 2 bath condo conveniently located in middle of Waikoloa resort. Hali’i Kai is gated and has its own pool, restaurant/bar and workout room overlooking the ocean. Pool is nice but had a lot of rambunctious young children while we were there. The restaurant is convenient but the food is unremarkable. There is a cool little trail from the entrance to the pool along the coastline over to the beautiful Hilton property next door. If you are a golfer, the two Waikoloa courses are very close and are relatively good values if you buy their multiple rounds deal. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will consider 22A for future trips to the Big Island.

My husband and I have stayed in the Waikoloa area multiple times over the past few years but this was our first stay in the Hali'i Kai neighborhood. The pool area is absolutely stunning with gorgeous ocean front views. The condo itself was very comfortable, clean, and well maintained. The furniture inside and on the lanai was clean and very comfortable especially the bed in the master bedroom! The kitchen was well appointed - the only fault I could find is that it could use a knife sharpener. The owners have supplied and share a large selection of beach toys including snorkel gear, cooler, towels, wake boards, chairs, etc. Check in/out was a breeze and it was easy to communicate with the owners. My husband and I would definitely stay here again!!

We really enjoyed our 6-night stay at this property and would return again in an instant. It is well-appointed with modern updates yet very comfortable and inviting. The kitchen is nicely stocked with everything one needs for meal prep for a crowd; linens were new and plentiful. Also, beach towels, chairs, toys (even snorkel gear!) were available for our use. Everything was in working order for our stay.
The Kellermans were instantly responsive and have everything set up perfectly to make your vacation relaxing and care-free. Hali'i Kai's check-in/check-out process was a breeze. The Hali'i Kai community areas are impeccably maintained, the property is very peaceful and located within an easy walk to the Hilton. Shopping, golf, restaurants, etc. are close by within Waikoloa Village. If you are looking for a peaceful, comfortable and beautifully maintained condo, this is it!

We had a lovely stay! The condo was clean, well stocked, and in a beautiful setting. We loved sitting on the lanai for breakfast and dinner. Our sons loved the pool which is also great for whale watching in the winter. The condo was in a great location for all of our daily adventures!

We had an excellent time staying at Hali’i Kai! It was so fun! The condo came with all of the beach supplies we could possible need. The pool is very nice, and overlooks the ocean. The landscaping is all kept very well. We had an excellent time overall! Would definitely reccomend!

Perfect location to so many great beaches to the north and the south. Wonderful amenities on site, especially the pool where we'd head to watch the sunset after a long day of exploring. Condo itself was clean, well appointed and a wonderful place to call home while we were on the Big Island. H

My two grown daughters and I recently spent a relaxing week at 22A . Everything we needed was in the condo - from the beach towels and blankets, lots of little extras in the kitchen and bathrooms, and travel coffee mugs for early morning dives. It's about a 10 minute walk to the Ocean Club facilities - through the beautiful, quiet grounds of the complex, so not really a hardship! The pool, gym and restaurant are lovely , the view is spectacular and the vibe is chill. We really enjoyed the location in the Waikoloa area also - close to the Queen's marketplace, several beautiful beaches, easy drive up to Waimea - and to the wonderful drives of the north island (and away from the crazy Kona traffic!). The owners were easy to communicate with and very pleasant, as were the staff in the complex office.

This was an A-1 experience! The condo was perfect in everyway. I have stayed at Hali'ikai condos in the past and this was by far the best. I always find it frustrating to arrive at a condo and find exceedingly limited supplies of things like trash bags, dish soaps, spices etc....Not the case with this condo. Everything was stocked and ready to go. Greatly appreciated..Thanks for sharing your lovely home!
