The view was nice, though the sunsets were blocked by another part of the building (the ad mentioned great sunsets….maybe during another part of the year it’s better) but our view was completely blocked.
The unit is on the third floor and the lack of A/C made it quite uncomfortable, especially if cooking.
All of the cabinetry and dressers are in disrepair ( broken or missing drawer slides, etc).
The bedrooms had very dirty and dingy carpet.
The shower in the master bedroom did not drain well (6-8 inches of standing water during a 10 minute shower).
In general, the interior of the condo lacked any pride of ownership and is desperately out dated and worn out.
I strongly recommend against booking this property.
The one bright spot was the outside spaces were very well maintained. Great pool / hot tub area and the grilling and picnic area was also quite nice.

There is few positives about this place and it should NOT be listed on VRBO. The unit does not look the same as the pictures. It’s old, dirty and is in need of a serious remodel. The listing says it has an updated kitchen. It was maybe update 20 years ago. The kitchen cupboards are dirt stained and the wood is swelling, oven is old and rusty and old dated counter tops. Half the plug-ins didn’t work and we’re not all fixed when we reported the issue to management . There is a Koa wood island top that you must NOT set anything on. There were little bugs all over the kitchen and bathroom counters. Fridge sounds like it’s going to die. There’s dirt falling out of the vent above the bathtub and shower. Shower and tub are stained and tiles are chipped. Carpets are filthy and stained. The carpets had been cleaned before check in and we’re still soaking wet and dirty we arrived. Made the unit extremely humid. There were no baseboads in bedrooms and a dirt ring around all the walls was visible. They was no blinds in one bedroom and lace ones in the other that block no light. The living room couch it dirty, stained and horribly uncomfortable as it’s falling apart. Dirt and dust on all the lamp shades. There was not enough hot water to even run a warm bath for our children. Do not ask Grand Welcome (management company) for anything. They send all sorts of welcome emails but don’t want to help resolve anything. We asked numerous times about the lack of hot water. WORST RENTAL EVER!

We had a beautiful view from the 3rd floor lanai. Nice pool area and the grounds and bbq area were cleaned daily. The condo had new floors in the living/kitchen but the bedrooms had carpet with lots of stains in them. The bedrooms faced the main road so road traffic was loud during the night. Several things are outdated in the unit but it worked for us. Kitchen had a decent amount of supplies and there were beach towels and cooler in the closet which was nice. We were able to see dolphins and whales from our lanai and beautiful sunsets.

This condo was great, no issues during our entire stay. We have stayed in multiple units in the Sea Village complex over different vacations and this unit, like all the others, was just another comfortable carefree experience.
The property manager gave us accurate check-in instructions and points of contact for any issues. It wasn't on the listing, but they did have beach chairs and umbrellas in the closet, which was a pleasant surprise. Kitchen was well equipped and plenty of towels in the linen closet.

For what we paid on this unit for 2 weeks we were very disappointed. Living room carpet is bad! Bedroom furniture falls apart. All I can say is to who ever owns this unit. a major renovation is needed!!

This condo was perfect for us. The location was great and walking to town was easy. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well-equipped, and the lanai looked out onto a fantastic ocean view. Whales were jumping regularly!
Thank you for sharing your home.

There are some strong pros and some strong cons to this property. First, location, location, location! It has an amazing direct ocean view from the balcony, and the exterior amenities (pool, spa, picnic/bbq area) are lovely and well-maintained. Second, it's easy walking distance from downtown, we walked to Huggo's and Broke Da Mouth in 10-15 minutes. The road is fairly busy, but it's Hawaii, so no one's really going fast. Third, there is an AWESOME coffee shop right downstairs, which completely fulfilled all my desires for hot Kona coffee to be brought to me (by husband who can't seem to operate a coffee maker) and to not cook breakfast on vacation. Excellent croissant breakfast sandwiches, coffee cake, French Toast sticks, smoothies...we tried just about everything on the menu. My favorite was the Papaya-Mint smoothie, but if the downside of being in a condo for you is that you do not have a hotel restaurant right there and you have to cook, this location is a great solution. Less expensive and much quicker than a sit-down breakfast, and they open at 6:30am, in case you have a 7am date at the harbor for a snorkel tour.
All of those pros have to do with things outside the condo. Inside the condo, it's like 1992 called and asked for it's condo back. Other than a lovely Koa wood bar top that you mustn't set anything on, the kitchen is completely average, the carpet is cream colored and shows everything, the bathrooms are small and dated (the hall bath vanity is actually big enough to set things on, but the shower is too small to shower in, so shower in the master and do your face in the hall bath.) There is no headboard in the master, so when you sit up in bed you lean against this painting, and there's no good place to put the suitcase except inside the dark closet. The sides of the couch are so high you can't reach the end tables for your drink. There are no conveniently located outlets, so there was quite a tug of war for charging devices. There are just a number of things that are incredibly awkward. However, there were towels and beach chairs, and we had an ocean view with a pool for a great price, so overall I think it's a decent value as long as you know what you're getting. The management service will send all kinds of welcoming messages, but don't ask for anything, you won't get it. If I see another listing with this management company on future vacations, I will actively avoid it.

The condo was fine. It does back up to alii drive, so the car noise can be heard at night. Kitchen was well stocked and there was plenty of towels etc. The view was nice from the lanai. There didn’t seem to be an activity closet or snorkels or boogie boards or any of that. BBQs were great and cleaned every day. Easy walk to Kona to have a bite or cocktail. Loved green flash coffee! Overall fine, could use a carpet clean and a few updates.

Very lovely condo with an outstanding view of the water. It was a two bedroom, two bath, very comfortable and clean. The grounds and the barbecue and pool areas are immaculate & beautiful. The only downside is the light colored carpet with many stains. Overall, we loved it.

This 3rd floor condo was very comfortable and had everything we needed. It was a bit dated compared to other units we saw at the property but it was clean and everything worked well. We enjoyed eating on the deck and appreciated the beach towels provided!

Alaskan family, first time to Kona. The condo was much bigger than expected, the photos don’t do it justice. It was also perfect for my husband and I and our 2 sons. We enjoyed our time at the pool and hot tub, and LOVED that view as well as the one from our lanai. It was also an awesome location, not right in the center of activity (which we’d rather not have) but definitely a quick/easy drive to the busier areas. Plenty to do around here, and we were regulars to the coffee shop downstairs. Their breakfast and drinks were our favorite of the trip.
There were plenty of beach toys and regular household items for us to use as well. Even though there is isn’t air conditioning, we opened all the vents and left the lanai door open while we were there and it was perfect. We also opened the vents in the bedrooms and between those and the ceiling fans and black fans, we were comfortable!
Thanks so much for letting us rent this space, it was perfect for us! We are already looking forward to our next visit to Kona! :)

Our family of 4 stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed the condo. It was well appointed for cooking in the kitchen. Also enjoyed using the boogie boards and chairs and beach towels. The view, especially in the evenings is incredible. Thanks for sharing with us!

Very comfortable - and we loved having breakfast on the lanai and watching for spinner dolphins and whales. I liked being on the top floor with no one walking above us. Nice pool and hot tub, and steps from a great coffee shop. The only reason for the 4 stars is the road noise, since the unit backs onto Ali'i Drive, but after the first night, earplugs took care of that problem. We were very pleased with our choice!

Large, clean, well furnished home for our week on the Big Island. Spectacular views of the ocean, the sunset and the pool. Close to Kona, with it's great restaurants and shops. Well stocked kitchen and closet full of beach gear. Sea Village is beautifully landscaped and managed.
Only complaints were1) it gets very hot on sunny afternoons, even with the sun shades drawn, so that it never really cooled off until the middle of the night. Air conditioning or even an opaque living room shade would help.
2) Bright light outside the master bedroom window also made sleeping difficult. This would easily be fixed with blinds or a shade.
