PLEASE NOTE:
Whaler Resort Enhancement Project:
This project involves exterior painting and spall repair of concrete towers to enhance the appearance and durability of our property.
The project will be conducted in two phases. Painting & spall repair for Tower 2 will begin on August 15, 2023, and conclude on December 14, 2023. Tower 1 will undergo the same repairs the following year, starting around August 12, 2024. We appreciate your understanding and support as The Whaler continues to improve and maintain the beauty of the resort.

Whaler 319 is located in Tower 1 in -19 stack & is scheduled for approximately December 9 2024 - January 20 2025

Aside from the project commencement date, the start dates on the stacks may be a little earlier or later than the projected schedule. All schedule dates are approximate. Actual schedule progress will be impacted by weather conditions and severity of concrete spall repairs.

It may be noisy, dusty, annoying, and disruptive to the use and enjoyment of apartment units and their surrounding areas during this time. Due to the necessary work being performed on lanais and facades, and the potential for falling debris, apartment lanais will be closed during working hours (Monday thru Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm) while work on the vertical stacks is being performed. Access to lanais during non-working hours will be allowed unless safety issues are discovered and require temporary closure. During stack construction, lanai furniture will be consolidated and protected with plastic sheeting. Lanai surfaces may become dusty during stack construction. Lanai’s adjacent to the work areas may experience some wind blown dust from construction area.

By booking this condo, you agree that you understand there will be an active painting & repair project occurring during this time & Maui Westside is not responsible for how this project or any other unexpected occurrences may affect your stay including but not limited to; inconvenience from construction, noise, traffic, limited parking, or neighboring guests. Stayed here with my teenage daughter for a couple nights & we didn’t want to leave! Spacious clean condo, big lanai with ocean views, great oceanfront pool with hot tub. We walked to breakfast, lunch, dinner & shopping. My daughter sifted the break walking distance from condo. Sat on the beach to watch the sunset every night. Would definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was very clean and well appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed to make our own meals when we wanted a break from eating out. We also enjoyed the BBQ area. The unit is in a great location. Only a 4 minute walk to Whaler’s Village, where you’ll find the ABC store for all your daily needs, and lots of other shops and restaurants. The ocean view from the balcony is amazing. We will definitely be back.

We arrived in Maui on January 12th for an extended weekend. We stayed in suite 319 at the Whaler on Maui's West Side. It was the first time for us to visit Maui and we could not have enjoyed it more. Our stay was made all the more special with the clean and comfortable accommodations. The Whaler is nestled in close proximately to the beach, golf, snorkeling, shopping and restaurants. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. As with all of the units, there are free laundry facilities. As funny as that sounds I was excited to fly home with a suitcase of clean clothes in lieu of the opposite. Somehow, that makes the task of unpacking easier and lightens that load of tasks we all face when returning home. There is a myriad of paths to walk, and we took full advantage of that amenity. We exercised each morning with the connectivity offered on and off the property. We took in the views, the ocean breeze and watched whales dancing in the distance. We sat on the patio (Okay, I laid out on the chaise lounge and took in some extra Vitamin D) outside and felt the ocean breeze with a glass of wine and the end of nearly every day. We played golf across the street and shopped in Whaler's Village. It is within walking distance, along the beachfront and offers everything from pearls and other jewelry to clothing, food and alcohol. Our stay is such a wonderful culmination of memories. We left on the 16th but took time that morning to snorkel with Sea turtles and see beautiful fish just down from the condo. If you ever want to stay in a place that feels more like home than a hotel room, this is the ticket.

This condo was perfect for a family trip — my husband and I loved having our own bedroom, and the couch was the easiest pull out bed EVER for the kids. Kitchen was well-stocked, and the condo came with chairs, boogie boards, a cooler — everything you could need for the beach. The location right on Ka’anapali Beach was amazing, and the stretch of beach in front of the Whaler us as good as it gets. Would definitely return to this unit.

We've been coming to the Whaler every year for 8 years now and we have never stayed on this side of the property. The view was great... there was a perfect view of the lovely gardens and the ocean, and the sun was never too intense. It was also easy to walk in and out of the place as opposed to needing to take the elevator. The unit was decorated very well too and the kitchen was perfect for cooking and well appointed

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The location was great. The room was clean and spacious. The view from the balcony was beautiful. The amount of adults on their speaker phones and screaming kids around the ponds and on the grass every day was way to much but I realize that is not the properties problem. Overall we really enjoyed the condo and will keep it in mind for our next trip.

This condo has been updated and is very comfortable. It has all the amenities you need. There were plenty of supplies in the kitchen (which is not the same for other condos we have stayed in at the Whaler). The bed was very comfortable. The unit is a bit dated (dropped ceiling in kitchen and vanity area), but the main components we dealt with were excellent. Bed was great. View was very nice--we could see the ocean and most of the sunset every day. The noise at night was somewhat distracting, but it was spring break afterall. It didn't last more than 20 minutes. We had trouble with the cable box, but could stream shows just fine. The appliances are a bit dated, but they suited our mix of going out to eat and cooking in when we couldn't get reservations. The front desk didn't realize we had late check-out and one of us found out they had erased our key card early--but the other of us was inside the unit and so we could retrieve our luggage just fine! Whew! We needed a few more hangers, but we made do. We didn't need air conditioning, thank goodness. Eating breakfast on the balcony was heaven each morning. The grounds of the Whaler were impeccable and there are plenty of places to eat and shop within walking distance--that was the best part. A Starbucks within a 5 minute walk at the Westin and we didn't have to pay the extra $250/night Westin prices. We are not pool people so the small pool wasn't an issue for us. Enough beach chairs and towels for our purposes. Very nice stay for a couple who enjoy walking up and down the "boardwalk" and the beach. About mid-way point in Lahaina. Beautiful!
