Overall clean and nicely appointed condo. Advertised/listed as a 2 BEDROOM unit - but is only 1 bedroom, which we feel is misleading. (There is a only pull out couch in living room area.) The grounds and property are well kept and nice. Very quiet and peaceful community. A small kitchen table or indoor eating area would be a good addition.

The air conditioner was broke and I reported it three times. I stopped using it when it started pouring water on the floor. Upon my arrival - Dirty towel was in closet, trash was left in kitchen can and was moldy, Comet was poured into toilet and left that way, shower door is broke, hairdryer is broke, frig is extremely loud. I will return to the complex but not this unit and not with Grand Welcome. I lived in Kona 15 years and am NOT writing about normal salt-water wear and tear. This just needs repairs and cleaning.

My husband and I stayed here for 8 days and enjoyed being away from the busyness but still close enough for quick trips. Casa de Emdeko is quiet, laid back, and has a special community feel—evening gatherings, BBQs, conch blowing at sunset… We enjoyed the private “beach” and saltwater pool immensely! We would definitely stay here again and recommend for people who want a quiet retreat and home base with the ability to cook at home.

My wife and I stayed for eight nights in May. The complex is a little dated but very nice overall. There is a salt water pool as well as a chlorinated pool. The complex was very friendly, each evening there was cocktails or a potluck and coffee in the morning. The condo is very clean and well appointed. I would stay there again in a second.

Fairly good location and property. Kitchen is well equipped, but the condo is dirty. The dust on the faux orchids beside the bed is so thick it could be measured. Tile in bathroom is grungy and the shower door and tracks are unacceptably filthy. Place is quiet, you can hear the person upstairs walking around.

The location was great and the property was great. The unit and furniture was a little dated minus the kitchen. It looked pretty new.

This property was clean and superb for our stay. We enjoyed the salt water pool, the central pool and the fabulous location right on the water and near the village.

Has become our favorite condo site in Kona.

We had to submit our 24 hour antigen test results to the property manager before we could get our access code. We did not get our welcome package I was wondering the time frame indicated and we had to call them the day if our arrival. This was not disclosed earlier and strikes me as bizarre since the antigen test is a requirement to enter the Country. This made the entire checkin process more stressful than needed.

This is a lovely home with everything I needed. The saltwater pool is my favorite part. It's right on the ocean with a lava retaining wall. The ocean sprays into the pool through the railing and creates waves. So lovely and relaxing.
