The place is perfect for a family of four. The location makes hanging out along the north shore easy, and the property is quiet and gorgeous, with unbeatable views and a secluded beach that you can hike a short trail from your front door to get to. The owner is also super responsive to any questions or minor issues. The place itself is super spacious with high ceiling and a nice wind permeates the home if you leave all the windows open, which really helped to keep it cool even while it was broiling outside. I’m really grateful we were able to stay here!

We found the condo well supplied and very comfortable for our needs. It has a lovely view and we witnessed some amazing sunrises. The condo complex grounds were well maintained and pretty. A very quiet neighborhood is a beautiful part of Kauai.

Condo was a perfect home base for our family of four (2 college age daughters). Perfect home base as we explored many beaches and sights. We enjoyed all our meals in or packed a lunch for the day and the kitchen had everything we could possibly need, as well as a cooler and ice packs to go. The beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, etc were a big plus. Condo is very comfortable and clean. The neighborhood is lovely for walking or jogging to Anini, Sealodge or Hideaway beach or up to the shopping complex. Check in was easy and host responded promptly. Thank you for a fantastic experience all around.

We thought the condo was perfect for our needs. The bedrooms were both good sizes and the beds were comfy. Nice living romm/dining g room area. Unfortunately we did not spend much time on the lanai due to the rain, but nit something g you can do much about.

++ Ocean view from lanai was great. Location on golf course provided a daily meeting of five albatross. Full complement of kitchenware and beach gear. Smart TV. - - Furniture a little outdated. Limited complex facilities, pool only. Nearest food and drink .8 mile.

The view from the condo was nice. It overlooks the golf course, and has a nice view of the ocean. Would be better if the lanai furniture was upgraded, as the current furniture is dated and uncomfortable. When we arrived, we found a huge dead cockroach in the bathroom. The condo appeared to be pretty clean, but the obvious presence of cockroaches was undesirable. It would have been nice to at least having cleaning supplies available at the condo. The inside of the condo needs some work. One of the bathrooms was redone, which was nice but the laundry closet doors were damaged and falling off, the screen door didn’t work properly and the furniture is old/in need of a cleaning. Princeville is a nice area for scenery and is close to the golf course but otherwise doesn’t have a lot of amenities. Limited restaurants, shopping, beach access and other activities in Princeville make it a little less desirable than other areas unless the only thing you are looking for is golf. The course is beautiful but expensive. No barbecue means that if you are cooking you have to use the stove or oven which heats up the condo. It is already very warm without air conditioning. If there is an ocean breeze that hits the right way, it can cool the condo off but that doesn’t always happen. The condo was overpriced for what we got out of it. Some basic repairs/improvements need to be done before this condo would be worth the money.

What a great stay! They condo was great, there were a few things that need to be fixed that have been ignored. The pictures shown off the lanai doesn’t do the view justice. The view of the ocean in the morning is beautiful and the mountains to the right is gorgeous. The golf course gives you an open, unobstructed view of everything. There were very few golfers, I thought it odd. The available beach stuff and cooler was a godsend, especially the cooler. The only concern would be the staircase for families with very young children. There was no way of blocking the top of the stairs off and you had to walk past it all of the time. We slept 5 people, the 2nd bedroom got a great breeze but where the beds are located the breeze is minimal so be prepared to turn on the fan. All in all, we loved it and were so happy to find some place all 3 kids could stay in a bed of their own at an affordable price.

POSITIVES: For golfers, it’s a fantastic spot right off of the 15th tee with beautiful golf, ocean, sunrise, and sunset view. Short but steep 5 minutes jungle hike down to Sealodge beach. Adequate beach equipments like chairs, boogie boards, umbrella, towels. Very quiet except for the morning roosters if you’re not used to the noise. Constant trade wind cools the unit with great cross wind throughout most of the day. The pool is just outside, and my son enjoyed it a lot with provided floaties. Wash beach sand off by the pool. NEGATIVES: There were many broken things closet doors, beach umbrella, lanai screen door. Many light bulbs were burnt out. All 3 dining table light bulbs were burnt out. I had to play the maintenance guy for a minute and robbed Peter to pay Paul. (Note to owner, I didn’t steal your lamp bulbs. They’re in your dining room light fixture. You’re welcome.) The floor was so sandy and dirty that I had to do a thorough sweeping and vacuuming upon arrival. For sure it was not cleaned between renters. Lanai furniture could have been better as it’s the focal point of the unit. Zero food or condiments left behind from previous renters. The owner has them all cleared out. Not even salt pepper and ketchup. I don’t know why it’s done that way. All other condos I’ve stayed at, there were always leftovers in the pantry. The condos complex has a trash bin but no recycling service. The owner doesn’t have one either. I find that very irresponsible for a Hawaiian property. No BBQ grill on lanai or anywhere else on property.

September 2022
The property is exactly described and was ideal for a father/adult son golf week. Convenient to Princeville Makai golf course. Tons of beach accesses. Very near Queen's Bath. And easy access to Hanalei restaurants, bars and beaches. The unit itself is pretty spartan, but worked well for us. New bathrooms are very nice, but lots of little things need to be repaired or improved in the unit. Would not recommend for a family with small children because the stairs to the first floor are dangerous. Full time resident neighbors were the only real negative because they clearly resent short-term renters and are openly hostile.

The views from the deck were the best part. The rest of the property was fine. Some things like the screen door for the deck and laundry closet doors were broken but this wasn’t a huge deal. The master bathroom is redone and nice. The kitchen is fairly well stocked but you have to buy your own spices as they didn’t even have salt and pepper. With a few things updated it would be a 5-star stay.

July 2022
The view was beautiful and the place was wide and spacious for 4 people. We had activities mostly during the day and was not able to enjoy the place. During our vacation, we love unwinding making dinner & recapping our day. The place had some cooking wares, but was expecting some basic seasonings (just like other Vrbo places w/ left behind salt, pepper, oil, etc, but it could be management policy to remove everything). The place is on the 2nd floor if stairs is an issue to you. Some small fix needed esp laundry door and noisy shower handle, but overall the place gave us a great stay.

This apartment was the perfect spot to explore Kauai. It is clean, well stocked, and very quiet. I really appreciated the current guidebooks that were provided. Yes, there are roosters. They are everywhere on the island. You get used to them. Yes, there is no AC. With the fans and tradewinds, you barely notice. We weren’t there most of the day anyway. Yes, we saw one bug the whole time we were there. It is a tropical island with bugs. There was Tupperware to seal all our food and we took the trash out every day. It was a comfortable, homey place to rent for the week.

I thought the listing description did not do the property justice. The view is spectacular but so was the big kitchen and the large bedrooms and master bath. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pans. Will definitely stay here again!

Overall good experience. Comfortable condo. Thankfully the cooler weather made the lack of A/C a moot point. The breeze off the ocean was perfect on the days it was warmer. Overall clean with the exception of the main sliding glass door and window looking out on the lanai. We didn't contact the property manager to take care of that but rather found the Windex and cleaned it ourselves first thing because that was a big deal and we didn't want to have to wait for it to be done. Not a huge deal but was the only significant negative thing about the condo. There were some cobwebs on the table by the sliding door too but that was inconsequential to us. The only other thing that would have been nice is some cooking items in the kitchen such as salt, pepper, and maybe some olive oil or something. I brought home a couple of nice steaks to cook up and realized there were no spices of any kind in the condo. Overall though we had a very pleasant stay.

Location, location, location!! Perched yards from the cliff leading to the ocean, it provides perfect sunrises photo opps, with lots of walking opportunities as well. Older condo, well used, with warm and homey feel. Area has well stocked grocery store which is needed as many restaurants are still closed, or providing limited service due to Covid concerns!

We made a decision to move from staying in Poipu to Princeville since we heard the waters would be calmer up north. Here are the pros and cons of this rental Pros: great view on the lanai of the course, sunrise and we even saw a double rainbow. Close proximity to Hanalei and other things in the north (Napali coast, queens bath, beaches). Walk/hike to sea lodge beach and anini beach, and to the westin villas. Like that it’s two bed two bath and ability to stream Netflix on tv Cons: NO AC which I didn’t think was a big deal but open check in you realize how hot it is without windows open. Another consequence is the smell of mildew, especially when windows are closed. Mold also in things in the freezer and in the cooler which made it an unusable perk. Also saw a few cockroaches which was a little unsettling.

The view from the deck made this comfortable but ordinary condo a special treat. Sunrise, sunsets, incredible star display,s, birds foraging, The occasional golfer. Plus, great natural air conditioning with the slider open and cooling breeze off the ocean.

Property matched online listing well. Each room was nicely furnished, the location was great, and the view of the coast from the deck was awesome! We would definitely look to stay here again.

July 2021
Great location, close to the market and Hanalei with beautiful ocean views from the balcony. Lack of AC was not a big deal with the constant ocean breeze coming through. Venture east to Anini beach- our favorite chill spot for the trip. Tunnels to the west as well. Mahalo!

September 2018
We loved staying in this lovely condo, mainly because of the million dollar view from the balcony. Due to the time zone difference, we were up before dawn every day with front row seats for the sunrise behind the lighthouse, and we ended every evening watching the light fade over the ocean. The condo is well-stocked (except for salt, pepper, and spices. I wish we’d packed some as everything is expensive to buy here.) Otherwise we had everything we needed, including a bit of laundry detergent. There are beach chairs, beach towels, and several sets of snorkel equipment in the closet, which was nice. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. When we arrived the unit was warm and stuffy - no A/C, of course, but there are a couple of large fans which we ran all night. The first couple of nights were a little warm, but not unbearable. Tropical storm Olivia came through and cooled us down a bit and it was quite pleasant. This location is quiet and secluded. We enjoyed watching the chickens and other birds on the golf course, as well as the occasional golfer, and the regular sunset golf cart tour. The pool is steps from the door and we had it all to ourselves whenever we used it. There is a Foodland close by in the Princeville center where we bought a few groceries. (We had stocked up at Walmart in Lihue.) if you sign up for a card they give you the sale prices. We enjoyed walking the many paved paths in this beautifully landscaped area, as well as exploring the muddy, slippery jungle trail that eventually leads to a beach (we think - we never found it) starting at Sealodge just down the street. We went to happy hour at the Happy Talk lounges at the Hanalei Bay Resort, just a few minutes away. The views are incredible! We also visited the Kileua Lighthouse and really enjoyed seeing the birds and plants in the preserve, as well as spectacular cliff views. Our favorite beach was Annini - great for snorkeling and swimming, plenty of parking and easy to find. If we ever come back to Kauai we will definitely stay here!

Overall we had a lovely visit. Great Princeville location. The condo overlooks the golf course (14th hole tee right in front of condo) and you do get a view of the ocean, from the golf course facing northeast. We relaxed in the condo which is very clean. It does need updating. The bathroom faucets and main bedroom mirror need to be replaced. It is quite comfortable if not fancy. We enjoyed having our own place. I would not shop at the grocery store in Princeville (very expensive) but get your groceries near the Safeway further south on the main route (20 min away from Princeville). The condo did have beach chairs, a few beach towels, toilet paper, a roll of paper towels and enough dishwasher detergent for our stay. The beds were very comfortable. Bring your own DVDs. No air conditioning but one large fan we put in our bedroom. We kept the windows and patio door open at night for a breeze. Everything in the kitchen worked well. As I said, not a fancy condo but a comfortable one. The community pool is small but really not many people were there so we always get a lounge chair. Lounge chairs are limited at the pool. They should get a few more. Everyone we talked to at the complex were very nice. We came the week after the big Kauai storm so the complex was not crowded. We would definitely rent this condo again.

Dated but good. Only suggestion:it is evident that the bathroom floors have not been washed for some time. Furnishings are dated but acceptable. Plenty of room and nice location

Although we had the misfortune of being in Kauai during the recent superstorm, the condo was watertight and was a refuge where we could stay dry and comfortable while looking out over the golf course and the ocean. We didn't get to see the mountains all that much, due to the cloudiness, but when we did, they were spectacular. The thunder and lightning during the night of the storm were intense, but we felt safe and were able to sleep through most of it. We found the condo to be very pleasant, with a good layout and just the right amount of space. Unlike another reviewer, we thought the furniture was quite comfortable, and we could see the view sitting on the couch (I think they were bothered by the railing on the lanai being partly in the way, but really--you have to have a railing on the second floor--and we didn't feel it interfered with the view much at all). And we spent a lot of time there because of the rain, enjoying sitting there watching the scores of nene, and several pairs of albatross doing a mating dance out on the golf course. The management was quick and responsive in addressing a couple of small issues we had at the beginning of our stay. They were also very helpful in arranging an early arrival, since our flight landed early in the morning. We were sleep deprived and it was great to be able to take a nap that afternoon. As others have noted, the bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable, as were the pillows. The condo was well stocked, with good pots and pans (not old funky ones) and very nice dishes and glassware. There were starter supplies for things like paper goods, dishwashing detergent, and cleaning supplies. We were there for nine days and these supplies were sufficient for our whole stay. The closets had all kinds of beach and snorkeling gear, and anything else you might need, including extra blankets, a laundry basket, stepstool, ironing board, etc. The linens were really nice, as well. We would absolutely stay here again.

The view from the lanai of this condo was lovely, and one of the few things it had going for it (note that you have to stand to see it, won't be able to while sitting on the uncomfortable furniture). Another plus - the bed in the master bedroom was comfortable. And the beach supplies (really nice beach chairs, towels, snorkel supplies) were great. Cons - This unit is badly in need of a deep cleaning and updating. As we stayed for 2 months, I got to see up close how superficial the cleaning was. I don't think the oven has ever been cleaned, nor the remote for the tv, or the vent fan in the 2nd bath. Most of the shades had either water stains or mildew/mold on them. The screen on the patio door had come out of the seam (as had one of the screens in the master bedroom) and would not slide due to the fact that it was missing the rollers, and the patio door was very difficult to open and close. The smoke detector had no batteries, and was so old it had yellowed, I doubt it would work if it did. The washing machine periodically leaked water. We contacted the management company about some of this, and I have to say they responded very quickly. Also, the kitchen knives were so dull, we went & bought our own sharpener. Alas, it broke. A slow cooker would have been greatly appreciated. I also had to buy my own cleaning supplies, because there were none. The living room furniture was uncomfortable. The ratchet on the shade in the 2nd bedroom was broken, and one of the screens was missing. There were weird circle stains on the master bathroom mirror, faucets in the bathrooms leak, and the grout was dirty. I've stayed at a number of VRBO's, either my rental or others, and they've all been good. This was not.

We just finished a stay at this condo and really enjoyed it. We're a family of four with two teenage boys and so the two rooms/two bathrooms afforded us all space and privacy. The condo is really comfortable with nice touches--including quality dishes, nice pots and pans, a nice coffee grinder, and new cutting boards. It has also has salt and pepper and some basic cooking items. We found the beds to be comfortable--especially the bed in the master bedroom. My husband has neck and back problems and slept really well here. The condo has no air conditioning but the trade winds are really comfortable and with the fans and skillful use of shades during the sunny parts of the day, the condo stays cool. The condo has a spectacular view of the ocean and sunrises, and was really quiet. The only thing that will wake you up in the morning is the sound of a rooster or a bird. The condo was also nicely located close to shopping and beaches and a running trail. We quickly felt at home and will definitely stay here again.

Generally the stay was very pleasant and relaxing. The only problem is the heavy door tends to slam shut if not careful. Besides that, we made full use of the amenities provided, were very thankful for the beach towels besides the regular towels, and couldn't be more happy with our experience. Quite roomy and has a great view looking out. Though we did not sit on the balcony, mainly due to rainstorms, it was still lovely to look outside and see the ocean and the vast greenness of the place. Thank you so much for everything provided here. We'll be sure to come back, once money and work allows it!

We rented this property for a week last summer and had an amazing time! We are already planning to go back this summer. The location was great for visiting different beaches and close to several hiking paths. It is also conveniently located near a grocery store and several restaurants. It even has built in entertainment when you want some downtime. We spent several mornings eating breakfast on the deck and watching the golfers on the golf course, as well as the nene geese. One of the best things about the condo was all the equipment that was left in the closet for renters to use. We were able to use snorkeling gear, fins, boogie boards, and towels. There were several guide books at the condo as well, with great information that led us to some new hikes we hadn't explored before. The owner must have made updates since the last review, because the beds were incredibly comfortable. The condo was warm when we arrived, but by opening the screen door and windows it cooled off very quickly.

June 2015
We were happy with the location of the condo....it was minutes from Princeville and Hanalei. The view across the golf course was nice and we were able to see nene geese (and the golfers photographing them!) most mornings. The condo was furnished well and had plenty of room for the two of us for our 5 night stay. This was our third condo stay during our vacation and it was noticeably different than the other two. First off, there is no air conditioning. I realize that this is quite common (and was the case in another condo we had stayed at), but the entire place was incredibly hot when we arrived from being shut up all day. The winds were not strong enough to cool it off even when the windows and patio door were all open, so our first night was sweltering. We ended up finding some old fans in the closets and used those extensively along with the ceiling fans. We kept the windows open almost constantly during the stay and it took a couple of days to cool off inside. It was in the mid 70s and very pleasant outside and a good 10 degrees warmer inside most afternoons when we returned. The kitchen, while well stocked with dishes and cooking equipment, had absolutely no plastic wrap, foil, sugar, spices, salt, pepper, etc. This was a shock and very disappointing; the last 2 condos we had stayed at had all of these basic supplies. We ended up buying plastic wrap, salt and pepper, sugar and small tupperware containers for our stay and leaving them for the next guests (you're welcome!) I feel that this should be provided as part of the basic stay; none of these are perishable items and once you realize that they are missing, you have likely already been to the grocery store. The biggest issue we had, though, was with the quality of the beds. They felt like sleeping on a college dorm mattress....thin, hard and extremely uncomfortable. My husband and I ended up sleeping in the second bedroom in the two twin beds as they were *slightly* more comfortable and the room was a little bit cooler than the master bedroom. We woke up with backaches most mornings. This could be a great place if the owner makes some changes, but as it is, I wouldn't return.

Note: Vacancy calendar is approximate. Visit the owner/manager's reservation site to verify your dates.
