Due to Maui’s rural atmosphere you may experience the occasional rooster, as well as harmless geckos. Geckos are friendly, eat insects, and are considered good luck in Hawaii. Please don’t kill them.
IMPORTANT: Although the HOA schedules regular professional pest control services, pests such as ants, roaches and rodents simply cannot be completely controlled in the tropics. Hawaii is located in a tropical climate, and insects, rodents and lizards flourish in this environment. If our guest spot more than the normal expected pests, we always make our best efforts to contact and work with the HOA to minimize your interactions with these pests. Any contact with such pests within or outside the unit does not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustment.

Loved it. Perfect location, right on ocean with first floor access to ocean, pool. Seemed to attract good people. Turtles showed up everyday. West Maui is perfect. No need to drive too far to great beaches. Nice access to the boardwalks along resorts if you like to walk or run.

The unit was clean and simple. Easy access to the pool and steps from the little beach. We sat on the wall each night watching the sunset and the turtles swimming in front of us.
We were a little surprised there was no air conditioning in the room but the fans and cross breeze at night worked fine. People around were very nice.

Lighting throughout the unit needs updated. Cooking utensils also needs updated. Vented windows will close at time making a very loud noise. Really disturbing in the middle of the night. Lock on Patio door does not work. If you move the door back and forth, the lock lever will drop down releasing the door.

The listing detail you have now is not the write up you had in July. Had I read what you have now, I would not have rented. The condo is deplorable. Not bright or inviting at all. I’m sure all the landscaping will look great when its done. But you still have to go back to the condo. The furniture iis old, dark and uncomfortable. I have nicer more comfortable furniture on my patio. Your Costco drapes don’t brighten up the place at all, and look terrible. A foot and a half to long. Cannot open up the length of the sliding glass door or the window. Did not even finish the ceiling after hanging the drape rods. Holes from the old rods not filled, and the and the ceiling above the drapes unfinished. The tangled mess behind the T.V. was a joy to look at. You mention to lock the doors when not there. Two good pulls on the sliding glass door and it opens. All the butcher block knives and not one could cut a tomato. No sharpner. The plates and bowls are cheap plastic. The plates all have knife marks. Five or so wine glasses, a couple tall glasses but no drinking glasses at all. The place looks cheap and I would be embarrassed to rent it out.

Construction was about what we expected and when workers after hours noise got out of hand it was dealt with immediately!! Location was great and condo had everything we needed and bed super comfortable. Only complaint a few packs of salt and pepper and sugar would have been nice to start out with as there is absolutely nothing

Feel cheated as there was construction going on in the backyard where the view to the ocean was supposed to be ( the pictures are completely misleading). Construction workers start early and once they are there you can’t even open the blinds unless you don’t mind not having any privacy. The view which was the selling point- all I could see was fences and a dumpster. The access to ocean which was supposed to be there was blocked off due to construction. Very bad experience.
Please don’t rent unless the construction is complete. And even then I think there are a lot of better properties at a cheaper rate.

My husband and I had planned this stay for back in April. In Aug we received word there would be some construction that could block our view and access to the seawall/ocean. It stated that the first floor would be impacted the most due to view blockage. They offered us 30% or we could cancel. We had already booked flights/rental etc so we took the 30% off that stated we would be refunded upon check in. When we got there we indeed were sadden by lack of view. Construction started earlier than stated. The workers stayed in the next door unit so we could hear them loudly at times. Also we booked this room specifically because of the listed AC. I have a condition that causes night sweats and a month before our visit we read reviews stating there was no longer AC but they could provide fans. It helped slightly but it was still uncomfortable. We also heard that the all the units were given 30% off. If they clearly stated the first floor would be impacted the most I think we should have been given slightly higher discount then the rest. Lastly not only was our refund not given when we arrived it took them an additional week and a half after we came home for it to be processed after I had to message them twice. We love Maui and have gone twice this year and this was our first visit to this property. Although the location is great we may have to find somewhere on next visit.

I stayed here for 2 weeks and loved it! The patio was my favorite part. On most mornings, I saw a rainbow in front Molokai. Everyday I saw surfacing whales in the distance throughout the day and sea turtles directly in front of the sea wall. The condo was very clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked by the management company. The property is conveniently-located to many sights, stores, and restaurants. Some shops and restaurants are in walking distance. The community of the building is a mix of residents and visitors and everyone is very friendly. The management team was very helpful and responsive to questions. One small drawback is that the footsteps and movements of the neighbors above are clearly audible. Also, please note: the listing includes air conditioning as an amenity but that is not accurate.
