The suite wasn’t clean and unfortunately there were lots of unwelcome cockroaches. We had planned to make full use of the kitchen but every time we would put food out, the cockroaches appeared. There were crumbs of food in the drawers and cupboards, prefect breeding ground for unwelcome friends. The place was crawling with cigarette beetles, even woke up with a few on my face. I totally understand tropical vacation means bugs, but they shouldn’t inhibit our ability to function in the suite. I bought some bleach and cleaned what I could, didn’t want to bother my holiday with insecticides, and management. I would not recommend that this place for families or young kids, lots of pool rules. The place runs like a 55+ senior living space. My autistic 14 year old son was in the pool, not diving or running, or being loud or playing “marco polo”, which is prohibited, but a lady who stayed in the suite beneath us would come on the patio and stare us down. She would shake her head at us. Not a very welcoming feeling.Location was great, area is quiet and serene. Would come back to the area, but for the reasons stated above I would NOT stay here again.

Every thing in our Maui condo was wonderful except it was so hot. It had one small air conditioner that was in the living room on the floor, facing the sofa. The basic problem was that it would only run for 60 minutes and then cut off. When we would return for the day it would have been off all day and there would not be enough time to even cool the living room beside the two bedrooms. It would go off 60 minutes after we went to bed. Thank goodness there was a fam in both bedrooms even if they blew hot air. We loved the condo, the location and found everything we needed except cool air.

The unit was very well equipped. Sunsets over the ocean are not visible as they are behind the ridge. Only one restaurant for dinner within walking distance and that was not very good. Needs a light over the dining table.

Located within walking distance of the Aquarium. The unit was equipped with everything needed for our stay. We appreciated that dish soap, laundry detergent and bathroom supplies were also provided. Cooler, beach chairs and umbrellas were also appreciated.

It’s a very well equipped apartment with enough space for four adults. Everything was very clean check in was easy. The apartment is in walking distance to the harbor with some shops restaurants and then aquarium and to a very nice little beach. Everything else is reachable by car. The only disadvantage is that the apartment is situated directly in the landing zone of the airport the planes are flying very low over the apartment.

The view from this quite condo is beautiful. The location is so central to get anywhere on the island and yet it is so private and quiet in Maalaea! If you don’t like crowds, this is the place for you! Condo was well stocked with everything you might need, with the exception of beach towels and boogie boards. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this accommodation!

The property was in a great location to everything on the island. The view was great to wake up to every morning. We had a problem with the Wifi and the property manager was very quick to resolve!

Nice condo in nice location. Good place for relaxed getaway away from crowds in Kihei / Lahaina - Loved the nearby beach, which was a 10min walk from the condo and relatively quiet (even saw a turtle in the surf our last day!). Big kudos to one of the property managers (Cristina), who was very responsive and gave us some good tips / suggestions. One of those was going with Pac Whale Foundation for fun day trip to Molokini and nearby coastal snorkeling spot. This company was best price we saw and best part is that 100% of their profits go into conservation efforts and education. The condo was well equipped, and floor / ceiling fans helped keep unit cool with one AC unit in living room- temperatures were nice with strong trade winds blowing this time of year. It was also good having the nice bbq grills available to use in the pool area. Local restaurant Tante Fish Market was good place for lunch / dinner and had good happy hour drink prices. There was also a cute general store near the marina (10min walk) that had good local breakfast and lunch food (helped with our spam musubi fixes) Few minor observations:
- interior is nice, but bit dated - would be nice to improve lighting in kitchen
- parking lot spaces are tight - just a heads up if you are renting a large vehicle (van / SUV).

The unit was smaller than what I expected but it's clean and well stocked with the amenities promised. Though there was no a/c in the bedrooms, there were plenty of fans and there is an a/c in the living room. The TV was not working but was fixed as soon as I called Rosemarie. Christina was also very helpful answering some of my questions. Over all, excellent experience.

I love this place and definitely would stay there again! I took my two senior parents, my husband and my 7 year old son and they all loved it! The property is clean and well-maintained. The bedrooms are comfy, the kitchen was super stocked with everything we needed. The washer and dryer was perfect for washing our clothes before we left. The only thing I'll say about the overall location is that is super super windy. So if you're bringing elderly folks...be aware that you may need to hold on to them so they don't get knocked down by the wind! LOL..but other than that ..the place was fantastic.

There are good and disappointing points to my stay. Overall this was not a horrible stay. We had ants in the kitchen. Lanai was crowded with furniture. The view was stunning. The rooms were stuffy with minimal air flow. Issue with property management, yes they were doing their job just not very professional in their approach. Plenty of dishes, towels and linens, wished for more laundry soap to be able to clean the towels during the week. I did buy my own but having it available would be nice. Unit above us had smokers in their unit so the main bathroom smelled like cigarette smoke. The shower in the mail bathroom made a big mess with water due to it's design. I did contact destination maui during my stay and they were overall helpful, but since the issue I was experiencing was through the property manager they could not help. Despite these issues we managed to have a very nice vacation, but I would look further into other condos in the area next time and may avoid these particular condos. We did like the location a lot.

While this location is centrally located which is nice to have everything 20 -25 minutes away. It needed some work when we first got there. The 4 fans in the place only 1 worked (but the one that worked was filled with dirt(we cleaned it), The shower head was squirting out from he connection, there was a window that was sealed with tape that all the tape had come loose, and if you opened the sliding glass door it went off track every time. We called the building lease right away. They came up fixed the shower, brought us 3 new fans and took the old ones away and re-taped the window. Great response. If you are looking for luxury this is not the place. If you are looking for an economical place that has a few bruises this is your place.

We moved to Island Sands Resort from Kealia Resort, both Resort places are breath taking and we loved walking every day on the beach. We had a one bedroom at Kealia Resort & b/c my husband & I extended our stay in Maui, the Kealia Resort Condo that we were in was not available. Sherry placed us at the Island Sands Resort and we were not disappointed one bit! We will be back, hopefully soon or may be in March 2023. Our son usually travels with us, so we have to consider staying at Island Sands Resort #305 if it is available due to the size and coziness of this condo unit. We loved walking to the Marina and also access to the beach was not difficult at all. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation to Maui and thank you for making our visit relaxing and comfortable! The condo was well stocked with towels, kitchen utensils plates etc and everything was clean. We were happily surprised there was an ice chest a boogie board and two beach chairs and an umbrella. Check in was easy, but I never had my text answered while we were there (we found what we were looking for, but it would have been nice to get a reply)
The view is so stunning and especially great in the evening.
Two elevators make for easy access. And we loved the little koi pond/fountain in the “lobby” area.
There isn’t a beach, but you can walk out to the ocean by the drainage ditch next to the building.
Location is wonderful with easy and quick access to various parts of the island without big crowds. Just keep in mind there’s no big stores close. (About 15 min drive)
Also be aware that about half the building has permanent residents who were quick to complain when we excitedly used the pool the first day and the kids make some sounds at 5pm… the rest of the time we were gone most the time exploring but could have done without the property manager having to come out first thing and “make sure” we were following the rules (which we were other than throwing a football…)
Overall it was an excellent stay though!

The location is great. You can get to other towns very easily. The unit was clean and well maintained. The view from the patio was beautiful. The pool is heated and has grills if you want to cook out. The property and grounds are very well maintained.

The property was just as advertised, the view was spectacular and the location central to everything. Given we were traveling with kids it was the perfect location to make everything easy to get to. The only suggestion I would have would be to add a coat hanger/towel rack of some sort as there wasn’t tea anywhere to put wet towels. Outside of that the condo was great.
