This condo is very well furnished and has an absolutely beautiful sunset view! The beds and pillows were fairly comfortable and the kitchen was extremely well supplied to help with cooking. There was plenty of laundry products to help with your laundry. The showers were nice with two showerheads and the supply of towels, normal and pool/beach were plenty. It as very clean and spacious. The second bedroom does not have air conditioning but there were plenty of fans to help with cooling the room. The location is centrally located making it easy to get to nearby attractions. There is plenty of garage parking and believe me, you will appreciate it when you see all the cars lined up on Ali’i road for other rentals. There is a nice shopping center nearby but you have to pay for parking and it is extremely expensive. Lesson learned! We ate at the Magic Grill down the road and had delicious food. One downside to this place is there is only one elevator for the entire complex. This unit requires a long walk from it, but that being said, we never waited a long time any time for it! I wish there would have been better lighting in the condo, but pretty much that’s it. I would definitely stay here again. Perfect place to relax and watch the sea turtle and yellow tang fish! Balcony is spacious and relaxing!

The property was everything we dreamed of for our "chick trip". We thoroughly enjoyed the lanai overlooking the ocean waves and tide pools. The kitchen had everything you could ask for. and of high quality. The beds were very comfortable. We really appreciated the beach gear. Holly was incredibly responsive when we had questions or issues. On a return to Kona I will definitely request this unit!

The property is amazing, situated overlooking the ocean where you can hear and see the surf all day and night. Everything you need is here including nice beach chairs, towels and I even found some sunscreen. Parking is very easy and you are close to some amazing snorkeling. You can watch the surfers at the south end of the building and sit under the big trees there. We really enjoyed our stay here.

The stay at Holly’s was fantastic. We loved the condo, the location, the ocean view, everything. We left to go to HNL for a couple days and regret leaving this piece of paradise behind. The moonrise and sunsets, seeing Milky Way, the turtles in the bay, clouds over the mountains, etc. Holly had amenities to help us out (laundry detergent, mineral sunblock, shampoo, etc), and Holly was always very responsive. Would definitely stay there again and again!

The condo was great. The layout was nice & offered the best view of the oceanfront. Note: the unit does not have A/C, I overlooked this in the add so was a bit nervous before check-in. However, having the windows open & the breeze always going through worked great for us & not having A/C was not an issue. The condo had everything (& more!) that we needed, including beach chairs, towels & sunscreen. The location was a bit removed from the bustle of restaurants & shops of Kona which was just what we were looking for. Still close enough to go to dinner, but made it quieter the rest of the time. There are a few steps down onto the rocks & the beach right in front of the unit & we loved going down & looking at the tide pools & watching the sea turtles that liked to hang out right there. Would definitely recommend this complex & unit to anyone looking to stay in this area of the Big Island!

The condo unit (422) had a spectacular view of the ocean from the lanai where we ate every meal and spent a lot of time. The condo is centrally located, near the main part of Kailua-Kona but far enough away to 'get away from it all'. The kitchen was well-supplied with utensils, pots and pans, and even had an excellent selection of spices, and of course the welcome basket with Hawaiian treats and Kona coffee was welcome after a long flight. Very clean throughout the condo. My wife and I have dodgy backs and the beds were extremely comfortable. Supplies such as tissue paper and paper towels were plenty, and the washer/dryer seemed brand new. The ventilation was very good and so the need for an air conditioner was never needed, just the ceiling fans. Didn't have any problems with parking under the condo although the entrance was a little hard to find the first time (you need to go past De Poke Shack) but easy afterwards. Grocery shopping was an easy drive and the KTA was well stocked. Plenty of snorkeling places down the street and also further away. 2 hours to Volcano National Park and less than 30 minutes to Kona airport. There is a small pool but we didn't use it (didn't have time!). My wife left her Fitbit behind and Holly arranged to send it to us immediately when found....her status as Premier Host is well-deserved and everything went smoothly including all communications (quickly answered). Would come again.

This condo has a spectacular location, with great privacy on the lanai and full ocean frontage. We loved to listen to the surf crash day and night, watch for whales, spot spinner dolphins in flight, watch the surfers, explore the tide pools (included Moorish Idols and a Hawksbill Turtle!), watch sunsets and moonsets both into the Pacific. Well equipped to make breakfasts and pupus for happy hour or even a full meal. Great location close enough to town but away from the crowds. Definitely snorkel Kahalu'u bay just south. And try Magic Sands Beach Grill (specialty Mai Tai) and Kona Inn (coconut shrimp). Aloha and Mahalo.

Best view ever! Loved the waves crashing in at all hours. I could live in this condo. Nothing negative to say. It’s a short distance from all of the Kona touristy stuff which was perfect for us. We like to relax. We visited four islands this trip and this stay was the best of the four.

Holly’s condo was exactly what we were wanting for our Hawaii vacation. It was the perfect size for our 2 adults and 2 teens. The beds were comfortable and being able to listen to the crashing waves every night was so refreshing. The kitchen was fully stocked with every utensil we would ever need, and this made our meal prep so much easier. We appreciated the beach gear and having a washer and dryer. The view from the Lanai was amazing. The ocean views every morning and the sunsets were breathtaking. It really made our vacation what we were hoping for.
Very close proximity to the shops and beaches, not to mention the wonderful sandy areas at the condo were an added bonus, when we didn’t want to venture far. Even the parking garage has great views!
Holly was so attentive and answered all of our questions. Definitely want to stay here again as this will be our condo of choice.

Kitchen well equipped. Host provided a thoughtful welcome package of local treats. Condo has great views of the sunsets. Lanai is very private due to building design. Condo had umbrella, beach chairs, cooler and lots of towels. The unit has no AC but temperature was manageable with fans and closing sun screens in the late afternoon.

Everything was as advertised and the view was awesome. Little surprised that it didn’t have AC but with the ceiling fans and the ocean breeze, it was not needed.
Kitchen was well stocked with every spice and appliance you would need. The pots and pans need to be updated though. Some of them stopped being non-stick about 10 years ago. Overall it was a 5-star stay.

The condo was well stocked and had lots of little extras that made our stay more than comfortable. The absolute best part was sitting in the lanai (not seeing any neighbors!), and enjoying the waves, swaying palms, and the chorus of the birds. This truly is a little piece of paradise! My husband treated me to a incredibly special 60th birthday present… an enjoyable week in Hawaii. I can’t imagine staying in a nicer place, the bedroom and living room overlooks the ocean which is directly below an extremely private and large balcony. Listen to the ocean waves to fall asleep too and wake up too was icing on the cake.
Holly‘s place was extremely clean and well stocked, kitchen, bathrooms and even chairs and coolers in the bedroom closet. Holly was so sweet to provide a list of off the beaten path local restaurants, I think we visited more than a few times, they were fantastic. There’s even a local Sushi restaurant right downstairs!! There is an incredible Beach for body surfing just down the street (Magics Sand Beach) with a restaurant right next to it (Magics Grill). Enjoy dinner on the ocean. You are also close to downtown Kona, Restaurants, shopping, Activities! I truly can’t say enough wonderful things about our stay, I would definitely love to stay there again and highly recommend it to anyone interested and I relaxing ultimate Hawaiian vacation.

Loved our stay, with an amazing view everyday. We saw turtles, dolphins and colourful fish right from the comfort of the lanai. The lanai was so great we were barely inside. Beds were very comfortable and had great sleep every night listening to the waves. The condo was clean, well stocked and just as advertised. No A/C but with breeze coming through patio doors and fans running it helped to make sure it wasn’t too hot inside. We appreciated having beach chairs, umbrella and beach bags there to use. Pool area was clean and a great spot to cool off.

Sleeping to the sound of the waves every night was exactly what we were wanting when we booked this condo. The lanai was perfect for coffee sipping, book reading and watching the pod of dolphins play off shore. Our only downside was the 2nd room is a little noisy from the street which made it harder for our littles to go to bed and nap every day. But they were so exhausted from playing at the beach all day it wasn’t too big of a problem. The turtles right outside in the tide pools were their absolute favorite part!

Our stay was delightful. The unit is accurately described by many of the reviews. The lanai is heavenly as is the crashing surf on the lava rocks and beach below. I would add that the owners provide MANY things which you don’t have to buy yourself, such as d/w liquid, laundry detergent, soaps, beach towels and beach chairs, beach umbrella, spices in kitchen and some basic tin foil and Saran Wrap which was most helpful for the entire stay. We found this to be most helpful so as not to have to purchase and leave behind. Thank you for that. Unit accommodates 4 people. As clean and accommodating as the hosts are, it’s all about the lanai! And in Hawaii, that’s meaningful!

Our one week stay in this condo was more comfortable and pleasant than I expected. I feel the photos and the listing are not doing justice, it is decorated nicer than it shows in the listing, stocked up with everything you could possible need for a beach vacation, new&high quality appliances, it is right on the shore so you hear the waves at night and the view… oh well, this raised the bar for all the ocean-facing accommodations. It does have 2 full washrooms (not mentioned in the listing), also it may not be huge though just comfortable for 4 people. Overall highly recommended. Mahalo!

We love Kona Bali Kai and this must be the nicest unit in the place. The kitchen was so well stocked that it made cooking so nice. There was plenty of space for four adults, especially with the excellent lanai. We loved eating, resting, watching sunsets and scoping out the turtles from the lanai every day. The view from the master bed is also fantastic. There were tons of towels - way more than we needed, beach chairs and boogie boards. The property manager was very responsive and super helpful. All around excellent stay!

This was our first trip to Hawaii and we are BEYOND happy with our stay at the Kona Bali Kai! It was everything we had hoped and more. Sleeping with the doors open to the ocean was amazing. The TV was never even cut on. Great location. Pool was great. Great hostess! It was all wonderful, I could never say enough. I hope we get to come back!

Our favorite things about this property were the interesting tide pools where turtles often visit, the beautiful sunrise each morning and the stunning sunsets, and the balcony that is right on the water where we spent most of our time. We stayed 15 days here and it was a great choice. Note that the "walking path" that is referenced by other reviewers is actually a bike lane on a pretty busy road. That was a surprise, but not a deal breaker. Holly is fabulous to work with. Overall, I highly recommend this property.

This condo is ideally located. It is on a beautiful oceanfront location and close to Kona shopping and restaurants. The condo was well equipped and we were supplied with plenty of towels! Some air conditioning would have made it perfect. Christmas Eve at the condo was made special since we could see the candlelight service and hear the beautiful music from the nearby Church on the Rocks!

We had such a nice stay in this condo. Being right on the beach, and having the beautiful views was wonderful !! The condo was beautiful, clean, and had everything you would need for a stay. Holly was great to deal with....Thank you Holly !! There were many things to do. We went on the Dolphin Excursion, Night Manta Dive, went to Volcanos National Park. I would totally recommend this condo !!

This was our second visit to Big Island. We stayed at the Aston Kona by the Sea the first time and were planning to stay at the Kona Reef on our second visit. We planned this most recent trip very last minute and the units available at the Kona Reef didn't meet our needs. We're so happy it didn't work out because we discovered this lovely condo!
The condo is beautifully furnished and tastefully decorated and it was spotlessly clean upon our arrival. I really appreciated the fully equipped kitchen - lots of pots and pans and serving ware, good cutting knifes, blender, toaster, etc. I was delighted to find lots of plastic containers to store left-overs and items such as cling-wrap. Loved the fact that there were lots of towels, including lovely beach towels, comfortable beach chairs, a sun umbrella and a cooler for pic-nics.
We're from Montreal, Quebec and one of the greatest highlights of vacationing in Hawaii is enjoying the lanai. The lanai in this condo is large and very comfortable. The lanai dining set is very comfortable and so are the two lounging chairs. The view from the lanai is breathtaking. Surfers to the South, the tidal pool just in front, and spectacular sunsets to the West. We watched spinner dolphins swim by most mornings, saw turtles in the tidal pool every day, as well as a variety of lovely fish. I even spotted a day octopus! We sat on the small beach on the premises every morning enjoying the view of the ocean and walked about the tidal pool and rocks admiring all the see creatures, crabs and snails. Everyone was fascinated by the tidal pool, young and not so young. Be warned that the surf is quite loud, especially at high tide. This was not a problem for us - it just reminded us that we were in Hawaii!
I highly recommend this condo and the Kona Bali Kai. Holly, the manager, was very helpful and we really appreciated the rebate we were given (less vacationers in September). The location is fabulous and we are very much looking forward to returning. Hopefully in March next time, to enjoy the whales.

The condo was very clean and welcoming. All dishes and silverware were sparkling! There was an ample supply of detergents for dishwashing and laundry. The washer and dryer worked well. There was an excellent variety of beach supplies. The ocean view and proximity to the water was superb!! Sea turtles and sea urchins were always in residence in the tidal pools just steps from the condo. Our first morning we were treated to a beautiful double rainbow that began and ended within sight of our lanaii--what a welcome! Covered parking was always available. Centrally located to area attractions. Barbecue area was kept very clean. We would recommend this condo to anyone planning a trip to this area.

This condo is a gem- the description and photos are accurate. Condo was clean and well appointed and you can't get any closer to the ocean unless you want to sleep in a boat! In fact- the crashing of the surf kept us up the first night- and then after we got used to it- made a great lullaby. Great location- not in the middle of downtown but close enough to all that Kona has to offer. Kids loved swimming in the pool. We barbecued one night and just loved watching sunsets and sunrise from our bed! Truly wonderful experience. The couches could be more comfortable for television watching and the 2nd bedroom gets a little too warm without the benefit of the ocean breeze. But the lanai furniture is extremely comfortable and that's where you want to be anyway. For the price- I don't think you can find anything to compare to the value of this wonderful condo. Highly recommend!
Our favorite activity was the Fairwinds Deluxe snorkel cruise to Kealekaua Bay. Amazing crew, amazing snorkeling. Highlight of our trip!
Favorite restaurant was Island Lava Java. We ate there 3-4 times in the week we stayed in Kona. Also Costco- for stay at home meals.

We were very very happy with this rental. The location was great. The condo was well appointed. We were greeted with a welcome basket of nuts and coffee. They provided lots of extras like beach chairs, coolers, towels. There was good snorkeling and swimming close. Good restaurants near by.The lanai was great for watching sunsets. The tidal pools had 3 - 5 turtles. I would love to come back here and would definately rcommend it to friends.

Room 422 at Kona Bali Kia has everything you need views, great bacolny to watch a beautiful sunset everynight. a short walk to the grill to grill your fresh fish and best of all Holly and her crew always make you feel like an old friend no matter which of her places you stay in.

This condo has it all..gorgeous ocean views, modern kitchen, spacious lanai, roomy living area with flat screen tv's, roomy bathrooms. I was happily surprised to have tons of linens and beach towels, cooler bag, sunscreen, cold water & beer in the fridge and lots of little touches. Also, the unit was very clean and comfortable. We were 3 adults and rented a car. I would recommend this condo very highly and would gladly stay again. Mahalo for a wonderful stay!

My family enjoyed a 3 night stay (much too short) at this well appointed condo. The condo was very clean and had a fully equipped kitchen. It was a pleasant surprise to find that the closets even had beach towels, chairs etc... for our use. The views and sounds are amazing. We were traveling with our toddler and Holly even had a high chair waiting for us in the condo. Thank you! We miss our breakfast and dinners on the lanai and can't wait to return to see the turtles again soon! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Lovely condo with a great private view of the turtles below in their tidepool from our lanai. Everything we needed was there for a great week....and I mean everything down to some extra sunscreen and a beach bag. Our only disappointment was the hot-tub and pool which are not up to the quality of the condo. Given the lovely beaches on the island, it was no big deal in the end.
