In addition to obviously being beautifully furnished, this condo was clean and comfortable, and you really can't beat the ocean view from the lanai! The location is convenient to all Kona area activities. The only drawback is that the building is right on a relatively busy street, but I found that the sound of the ocean surf effectively drowns out any traffic noise.

This condo was well appointed and very comfortable. The kitchen in particular was stocked way above average with dishes, utensils, spices, etc. This allowed us to easily cook our own meals and enjoy the fantastic sunset each night. We enjoyed using the cooler for picnics and farmers markets. The beach toys, mask and snorkel, and board were all great for the beach. The host was responsive and made our stay comfortable.

This is the second time staying at one of Holly's properties and we are devoted fans.. communication was fast and easy as always. Lovely and spotless place with everything we needed. Sounds of ocean waves lulled us to sleep. Water and beaches in front. We watched turtles and gorgeous sunsets from lanai. Occasional conversations heard from people sitting at picnic table below, but they left after sundown. Poke place in the complex was also yummy! We hope to come back!

We had the most amazing trip! The condo is exactly how its described and the best part is the oceans waves. We had the beat sleep we've had in year's. My favorite part was watching the turtles every night come in to eat. I would definitely recommend this place! we are already planning our next trip to Hawaii! It's a magical place.

The condo was exactly as described on VRBO. We loved it! Although some upkeep is needed. For example, the screen doors need replacing, too hard to open and close. The bed was uncomfortable and some new pillows and sheets would have made it nicer. The bath towels have seen better days. Overall it was wonderful!!

We’ve stayed at several of Holly’s condos in Kona Bali Kai on the big island, and this one is our favorite if the two of us are traveling alone. It’s about 30 feet from the water, literally, and the waves roll in giving the most fantastic view! It’s beautifully decorated, the interior is gorgeous with teak and bamboo walls and ceilings, and it has a very comfortable California king bed. Tile bathroom and floors, and a very nice kitchen with all the little things we have at home. Outdoor BBQ’s are just downstairs right on the sea wall and each day, turtles came to feed in the afternoon right out in front of us. 2 beach chairs, beach towels and a cooler provided. Book ahead. This one is a gem but worth waiting for. Thanks, Holly.

We truly feel like we are in paradise. Right on the water. We watched the tide come in and out. The sunsets are awesome from the balcony. We ate dinner every night on the balcony. The kitchen has everything you need to settle in and stay awhile. Will definitely try to come back

Talk about a luxury space! It's well-appointed and the full kitchen is to die for! The tiling in the bathroom and granite throughout is fabulous. If that's not enough, the lanai sells it for you. Being on the end unit you have 2 views. Absolutely perfect getaway. My husband and I would return in a heartbeat!

This studio condo right on the ocean was exactly as described and yes, we had trouble leaving sometimes! It has been totally updated inside and is beautiful. The bed is comfortable. The kitchen has everything you could need. But the lanai is the best spot to sit and enjoy coffee in the morning or dinner at sunset. We saw whales, spinner dolphins, turtles, and surfers. Holly was very responsive to questions and a minor problem that came up. Definitely would stay here again. Thanks Holly, for a beautiful stay!

We stayed at the condo for our 25th Anniversary trip. It was just as beautiful as described, directly in the water and perfect for what we needed. The kitchen was the most stocked kitchen I have seen at a condo, tons of utensils, dishes, etc to be able to make yourself at home. She also provided a beach umbrella, beach chairs and a cooler. She has thought of everything to make your stay super easy and convenient!

My wife & I stayed here for ten days, & had a very relaxing and rejuvenating time. The lanai is literally a stones throw from the ocean, & was ideal for morning coffee and sunsets. It was also so nice to have the ocean lull us to sleep at night.
The property is located a minutes drive from all the Kona amenities to the north, and also some nice snorkel beaches to the south. We enjoyed being close to all these options without being in the congestion and nighttime noise of Kona proper. A few minutes walk to the north is also a nice public white sand beach.
The kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils and appliances we needed. Wi-fi had a great connection.
Holly was a highly responsive host invested in our experience and well-being. There were nice touches like little local snacks, coffees, etc set out for us. When we come back to the Big Island, we’d gladly stay here again.

We couldn’t have chosen a better property in Hawaii! The pictures are true to life- absolutely beautiful! The ocean sang us to sleep each night! No ac but you don’t need it. The ocean breeze blows continuously through the screens on the patio. Had to call the owner to ask a question and she picked up the immediately !! We loved it ! Can’t say enough of good things!

My husband and I had the most wonderful stay! This unit is truly remarkable and every detail has clearly been thought through. Many rentals claim to be well-stocked, but this condo actually was and there's not a single kitchen or miscellaneous item we could have asked for. Additionally, everything in the condo is high quality and not just inexpensive items purchased for renters. We could picture living there. The only thing to be aware of is there's really no good spot to store luggage, which doesn't bother us, but might inconvenience some. It goes without saying but the view and sound of the waves was unbelievable - we're not normally ones to sit around on vacation, but we found ourselves lingering. The location is perfect for accessing all that the western side of the island has to offer and is nice being just outside of town. We hope to return - thank you for a great stay!

You can’t beat this location if you want to be close to the beach—it is just steps away, and you sleep and wake up to the sound of waves. The condo is nicely updated, and well stocked with everything you need. Holly was very helpful and responded quickly to any questions we had. The only negative was the main door to the lanai, which was fairly tough to open. There was a note about it, but it was challenging, as we went in and out frequently. We loved watching boats, parasailers, surfers, and even whales from the roomy deck—beautiful spot to enjoy Kona!

Holly’s place is the perfect spot for a beach getaway in Kona. The apartment is well-stocked, clean, has a super comfortable bed, and an awesome balcony. The location is in a quiet spot in between great beaches (shoutout to Magic Sands) as well as shopping, restaurants, and bars. Plus, if you’re looking for poke, Da Poke Shack is right downstairs. Highly recommend!

Great view and being an end unit make it even better. Short walk up stairs and you are there! Everything was as expected and the condo met all of our expectations. If you require a totally quiet place to sleep...this unit isnt for you. This is a water front unit and you will hear the waves all night long......which my girlfriend loved. So it was all good and we totally enjoyed our stay at Holly's place. She was quick to return all messages and very helpful with complete instructions for everything included in a notebook on the coffee table. We will be back!

This condo is a beautiful end unit, great for the x-breezes! The sound of the ocean put us to sleep every night . Holly was so thoughtful. She provided Beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkeling gear, beach towels and more... all top-quality. The keypad on the door made checking in and locking up extremely easy. We never had to worry about keys. Things that were very important to us… Cleanliness, comfortable bed and pillows, well stocked kitchen .... were all five star! Although we didn’t use the pool, the pool area was very clean and beautiful. The grass lawn behind our condo was a nice cool place to sit and enjoy watching surfers, outrigger canoes & waves. We watched the sunset from our lanai and then the moon glistening over the water is so beautiful. We came to Hawaii to relax, and this condo is truly relaxing. It is also close to restaurants and shopping. We highly recommend this condo!

From the minute we arrived this condo was great. It was clean, week equipped with everything you might need (including beach chairs, umbrella, LOTS of beach towels ❤️, cooler, fans, coffee maker, full size washer and dryer, toaster, etc). We enjoyed sitting on the lanai eating our papaya in the morning and swimming in the lovely pool at night. Parking right was effortless and always available. We also loved the location of the condo. It was easy to get places quickly but also not too busy. We had a wonderful time exploring the island and we can’t wait to come stay again.

We loved our stay in Hawaii and it was made all the better by staying here. We loved listening to the crashing waves and having them right outside our lanai (deck). It was very calm and peaceful. Since we were visiting during the hottest month of the year (August), we were a little worried about there being no air conditioning, but since no one else had mentioned it, we decided to take the risk. We were just fine. We were a little toasty at night, but we ended up putting a box fan which was in the closet on one of the bar stools and pointing it at the bed, and that was just right.
There are many thoughtful details to the condo. All surfaces except the floor are wood or bamboo, making you feel surrounded by elegance. This includes the walls and ceilings. The bathroom is as beautiful as it looks in the pics, and so is the kitchen. The bed was very comfortable. The washer/dryer is in the kitchen but you can't see it with the cabinets closed, so it's well-hidden. There is a wonderful Bosch dishwasher, as well as great kitchen utensils, although we didn't end up cooking here as much as other places we have rented because we were out exploring most of the time.
The town of Kona-Kailua is just a 10 minute drive to the north. There are great restaurants and shops. One of the best beaches on the island (Magic Sands) is a five-minute drive to the south. There is a lunch place that serves fresh poke caught that day right on the premises of the unit. It closes at 5:00. There is a bay with dolphins and great snorkeling in it just a 30-minute drive south. You can do a boat tour or if you're outdoorsy, you can rent kayaks for a very reasonable rate (call ahead and they'll be ready when you arrive). There is no longer lava flowing at the volcano. We could have skipped the day at the volcano, but the rest of the trip was outstanding.
Some other things you might want to know: Holly is very helpful and recommended a restaurant for our 10th anniversary dinner. There are also plenty of helpful things in the closet like body boards, a cooler, and a beach umbrella. We forgot our guidebook and I was very worried about it until I arrived and found an even better one waiting for us with humor and great recommendations.
Also handy to know is that you have a choice between a $60 non-refundable deposit and a $1,500 refundable deposit. We didn't have a problem with these two options, but it might be handy for you to know.

I can not say enough about how great our stay was at this condo! The view was amazing ,the condo had absolutely everything we needed and Holly was extremely accommodating . My only recommendation would be adding supplemental air conditioner for humid days. Most days were pleasant, but the last day was very stuffy. Overall, a very pleasant stay and would love to stay in this unit again!

It was such a pleasure to stay at this condo. You can't get closer to the ocean than this! Everything you could possibly need is thoughtfully provided -- Beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, ice chest & ice block(which we used almost daily), the kitchen is AMAZING with everything you also could possibly need--loved cooking while looking out at/seeing the ocean, then eating on the lanai. We stopped at Safeway & Costco to stock up on way from airport, then only ate out at restaurants twice. We packed picnic breakfasts and/or lunches on our daily adventures(we were only there 7 nights so were on the move to see as much as we could). We were so grateful to come back to this beautiful condo each afternoon, kick back and enjoy. We have traveled a lot and have NEVER stayed in such a well-stocked condo--it had everything possible just like at home (Thank you, Holly!). I see previous guest comments that complained about no a/c -- we were there end of May(75 degree nights/85 days) and with the ocean breeze, fans and screened doors front and back we were fine. And no bugs! The other comment was about the loudness of the waves -- YES! The ocean is loud and we loved the power of it at night. But you could always bring ear plugs. We heard so many people staying off the water complain about mosquitos. With the Westcoast 3 hour time change I was out on Lanai at 5AM and didn't get bit at all. The location of this condo is so great! In 90 minutes we could get almost anywhere, and our favorite spots were just 30 minutes away (Two-Step and the National Park next to it, & Captain Cook). Snorkeling at Two Step is out of this world-so clear and such a variety of fish. Our favorite final day was to snorkel at Two Step, eat picnic breakfast at the national park next door, then stop at the Peace Gardens. We loved the Big Island! And Holly's condo. We'd definitely return.

The second floor corner location is fantastic ... and the ocean is right there!! Marvelous sunsets and, while close to Alii Drive, we didn’t even know it was there. We so much appreciated the very well done Hawaiian finishings, furnishings, and decor —- the local wood surfaces, tile floors, color palette, and special touches. While a studio unit, it has a “just right” size kitchen, efficient floor plan, and a very comfortable Lanai, where we spent a lot of our time. For two of us, it was perfect. When I saw the photos of the place (having stayed in many Hawaiian Condos over the years on many islands), I could tell this could be special — and it was just like the photos! Even better ... How often can you say that? While we never had a chance to meet our host, Holly, she was very accommodating every step of the way. The Condo facility is well maintained, our car was parked safely in the garage below the units, and we had a very good experience here. I’ll try to come back to this very spot on future trips!!

The view alone is worth the stay. The condo is well stocked with everything you need. Even chairs, boggy boards and some small ice chest. This place has it all. It's a few minutes from kona and about 30 minutes from two step one of the best places to snorkel on the island. Lots of restaurants close by or stay in and make dinner and enjoy the sunset on your linai. You won't be disappointed with your stay here.

My husband and I spent 12 days in this little piece of paradise. We fell asleep each night to the sound of the waves crashing on the rocks (when they say oceanfront, it doesn't get much closer) and woke up with the sun and the birds and our coffee on lanai. Being an end unit on the 2nd floor, the lanai is super private and has the most beautiful panoramic view.
Holly made sure everything was ready for us when we arrived and was super attentive and accommodating regarding anything we needed.
The condo is nicely updated, had everything we needed, and was very clean. The only problem we ran into was the lack of space for our luggage. We stayed two weeks, and admittedly overpacked, but because it is a studio, there is limited space for baggage.
The complex is quiet, well kept and clean, and the staff is very friendly. The location is great because it's close enough to town to walk if you want to (about 2 miles), but away from the populated tourist areas. We walked in to town on a couple different occasions and found it quite enjoyable. There are also great little tidepools and coves right off the property where the sea turtles would frequent both in the water and up on the beach.
I couldn't have asked for a better experience for our stay here.

Our time at Holly's rental was nothing but fabulous! What a wonderful host she was! The location was perfect. Very easy to find. Right on the water. Dream of a lifetime! We were in Hawaii for almost 3 weeks and our week at Holly's was by far the best! It was well-stocked. We did not want for anything. The only thing we had to buy was our food. What a blessing that was! Going to sleep with the sounds of the waves, the smell of the ocean and a nice comfy bed... slept like a rock! Gorgeous sunsets right from our balcony.... Waking up to the sights and sounds of the ocean.... Wonderful church service right next door. Nice time in the pool and hot tub as well. I just can't say enough. Would give 10 stars if I could!!! We plan to stay there again next time we visit Hawaii.

The place was clean and was well maintained - easy free parking. Drive 10 minutes north and you are in the hub with shopping and restaurants. Holly provided details to the dot and was accurate. Would go back again!
