Views are amazing from the unit! Grounds are beautiful with a short trail walk to a cool beach area - fun for exploring and watching waves. Basics are provided for the kitchen. Laundry is handy. Comfortable bed and couch.Grocery store nearby was great. Short travel time to Hanalei for meals at restaurants. Would love to return for a future visit!!

We absolutely loved our stay. This is on the top floor with amazing views of the ocean. The apartment was very clean and came stocked with 2 beach chairs, towels, sunscreen, beach umbrella and even a boogie board. The only issue is the front lock is a bit hard to open the first time. We struggled with this for a few minutes upon arriving but then figured it out. We loved our stay here.

Lovely ocean views with the only sounds those of the ocean. Very peaceful. All logistics worked well. Unit as described and suited us very well. Interesting (positively) layout for a one bedroom. Condos are of the older generation but well kept and because they are older they got the prime ocean front location. As we know …. It is “location, location, location”

We absolutely loved our stay here, very peaceful! The place is designed to maximize views from every room. We had what we needed in the kitchen and bathrooms, very clean throughout, loved the window seating area and the bed was comfortable. We were visited by beautiful little red cardinals in the mornings. Would definitely book again!

As with many places in Hawaii the salt air wears down metal and wood so a few things where a bit "stiff" and worn but we had everything we could want. Soft sheets, beach towels and chairs, kitchen only needed us to add some food and we felt at home. Summer is very busy on Kauai but we were there for a wedding. I'd go back in the winter and hope I will be able.

Way better than advertised. Views out every window. I was concerned about the lack of AC but the winds keep it a lovely temp. Everything was clean and comfy. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment but I am happy to say I hardly used it. I am never up at sunrise but rolled over every morning to enjoy it. Then generally dosed until it was time to get up. We will be back!

This would have been a fantastic 1st trip to Kauai, if not for having been bitten all over my legs and trunk from a 2” large cockroach, while watching tv on the couch. I was laying down in a nightdress and felt something on my leg. I looked down and saw it was a live cockroach!!
The unit did not have any roach spray but I found ant spray hidden in a closet, which I used that to kill it. I immediately contacted the manager in text, to alert them to my multiple bites from the cockroach. The response I received was “I don’t even know what to say”. That isn’t the type of service I expected or should have encountered. I was traveling solo and didn’t cook food in the unit, for fear of bugs/cockroaches. I kept my liquids in the refrigerator at all times and there weren’t any food crumbs (which is probably why the roach decided to eat me instead….). No apology, no further communication from management on my complaint!??!
If you’re not a fan of cockroaches, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. There were plenty more than the larger one that bit me several times. I saw many young roaches and was going to overlook mentioning (before the bit incident). The last thing I want in this world is to find a 2 inch cockroach on my body! I wasn’t able to sleep the remaining 2 nights of my stay, for fear a roach would be inside the sheets. It ruined my entire trip. For this reason I’d never stay here again. I hoped to write a glowing review because the area has everything one would need to enjoy Kauai. 😔

It even included spare gear to use like coolers, umbrellas, beach chairs, etc, pretty much everything you would need to enjoy the beach. When i come back to kauai i hope i am lucky enough to stay at this beauful home again, it is everything i could have possibly asked for!

We had stayed at Sealodge in 2019 in a different unit; at that time, we loved the location but the unit was rundown and a bit dingy. In contrast, D8 was clean, bright, and very well-appointed! Really appreciated the uber-comfortable bed, clean dishes, and great beach chairs and towels. The dishwasher was broken but manager Liz quickly dropped off a dish rack for hand-washing. The deck has a great view (as pictured) but also feels a little boxed-in; however, because of the top-story position, view out the front door, and advantage of cross breezes, we grew to enjoy. Really, only complaint was the TV; we don’t watch much, but the couple nights we thought a movie might be nice, we simply couldn’t figure out the system! Maybe provide more detailed directions? In any case, it was a wonderful spot for ten days, and we would definitely rebook.

This was a perfect vacation spot for us for 6 weeks. Stunning view, nice breeze so no need for A/C, fully equipped kitchen and laundry machine, nice property manager. Mind though that there are stairs to go up; for us it was just great and welcomed exercise. Maintenance was ongoing, though it did not bother us.

Travelled the world and this place had incredible views in such a magical place. Lots to do with hiking, surfing, snorkeling and visiting botanical gardens. The home had high ceilings, was super clean, stunning sunrises and sunsets and a wonderful kitchen. Really appreciated the professional communication and the humour when texting with Liz Grout. Would highly recommend staying as it feels like being above the palm trees and one with the sea birds.

Staying at the Sealodge was a great experience! Waking up and falling asleep to the sound of the waves crashing was one of our highlights and made for a very relaxing honeymoon. The apartment is a great size and provides ample space to stay in and cook a dinner as well as play some board games during the sunset. If you want to focus your time on the north shore, this is a perfect place to stay.

Great for two people. It is equipped with everything you need. The washer and dryer was nice to have. There was even some snorkeling gear, beach towels, beach chairs and a small cooler. There was a big television but we never turned it on. The ocean views off the lanai were awesome as well as the views of the mountains off the front porch. The only minor issues were the bedding for the day bed was not clean. It smelled like BO & sunscreen. Nothing the washer and dryer couldn't handle. The front left burner on the stove didn't work and the window blind over the kitchen sink wouldn't work and the blind on the day bed window was broken. Overall the place was very clean and I would not hesitate to stay there again.

This was our second stay in D8, and it was just as perfect as the last time. The best view of rainbows over the ocean, stunning sunrises from bed, and of course you can't beat the private beach just a short (albeit muddy) hike away. Shopping center nearby means you're never far from anything you need (and daily breakfast from The Spot!). Hanalei is a quick drive away, but we were most happy to spend nearly every day at Sealodge Beach, where we sat with a sea turtle on the beach and spent hours snorkeling with the gear provided. We're already dreaming of visit #3!

Amazing views!! The property was beautiful and had everything we needed as a couple. The location was very peaceful and well situated to access North Shore activities. A compact but perfectly adequate space for two people. Views toward the Lighthouse can be mesmerizing. There are constant breezes that keep the place comfortably cool even on hot days. Be aware this is a two story walk-up. Like most the very many buildings of its vintage in Hawaii the climate has taken its toll on the exterior (New England style clapboard was a dubious choice) but the interior is quite nice. If adventurous take the trail to SeaLodge Beach.

This was the perfect property for our honeymoon! The view of the water was stunning. The room was cool with the windows open even though there wasn’t AC. Having all the beach towels, chairs, and snorkel gear was amazing!

We found this condo even nicer than pictured on line. Everything we could've thought of needing was stocked for us. It was clean & neat. Bed & furniture were comfortable too. Driving directions were good. The only thing we were slightly disappointed with was finding out how long it took us to drive to the south side or even the east side of the island! Since this island is relatively small, we had the mistaken idea that it wouldn't take very long to drive to either of these locations. Discovering that it could easily take over an hour or close to 2 hours to get to south side was a surprise. This is the only area we were disappointed. Luckily we found many wonderful places to enjoy that were close by. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip! I would recommend this condo, especially if you're looking for a quiet peaceful location.

The lack of an elevator was an issue because I arrived with a knee injury but it was worth it. The unit is beautifully decorated and a well equipped kitchen. Waking up to an unstructured view all the way to the Light House. It's within easy reach of Kauai's most beautiful beaches. I would definitely return. Bruce

This condo exceeded my expectations. I wasn't expecting it to be so well stocked. The kitchen had everything needed (except starter coffee) and there were great beach chairs, snorkeling equipment, cooler, beach towels, and boogie boards. The view was to die for. There were a few minor hiccups along the way, and the Sealodge onsite manager is really hard to get hold of, but everything was taken care of quickly by the rental agent. I would recommend this spot, but please don't try to use it when I want to. ;+)

Breathtaking views in this unit on 3rd floor. From the kitchen window you can see the beautiful green mountains of Kauai. From the bedroom, deck and living room you can see the ocean in all its splendor. Loved listening to the ocean waves. Unit is well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Internet works well and there is a large TV with many channels. It was dark a little after 6 when we stayed so we did watch a little TV. We felt fortunate to be able to say right next to the ocean for our first trip to the Princeville area.

Gorgeous ocean views from every window. It was magical to be on the top floor seeing the sunrise and sunsets everyday. There isn't any common walls which made it like you were in a quiet house. Only sounds of ocean waves... soothing, relaxing and sounds of bird singing. Nice and clean! Books to read. A flat screen TV and the bed was top quality. We slept great in the king size bed with nice linens. I'm little bit of a snob when it comes to beds. The cozy condo had everything you needed for the beach...masks fins, beach chairs, coolers, beach towels. The kitchen had everything. We absolutely will make this our yearly vacation in hawaii. We loved it! Thank you for making our vacation a great one!!
