The booking and check-in processes were incredibly easy and seamless, removing any potential stress right from the beginning.The unit itself was spotless and featured nice, clean decor that made it feel cozy and welcoming. The bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring that I got quality rest each night.Location-wise, it couldn't have been more convenient. Everything I needed was within walking distance, and the fact that the rate included a parking space was an added bonus, especially given the area's usual parking challenges. Considering this, the rate was very reasonable.An additional benefit was that the unit faced North, so I didn't have to worry about the intense southern sun exposure, which can be overwhelming. This was a wonderful stay while visiting friends and vacationing. Our local friend recommended staying on the Ala Moana side to get away from the busy-ness and noise of Waikīkī. While there was some traffic noise, we didn’t hear the loud music or chatter late at night/early morning we heard at Waikīkī. The assigned parking was important for us since we knew we would be driving to visit friends. They do warn of the compact stalls but I’d recommend a compact car since most parking here is smaller. We would stay here again!

The pay laundry facility is just down the hall. WiFi was fine. If you're doing any cooking, you will have to buy whatever basics you use...salt, pepper, sugar, cooking oil, etc. The biggest negative was that the traffic noise is very bad,as the unit faces Ala Moana Blvd.There is a lot of noise from loud motorcycles and cars with modified exhaust systems, which echo off adjacent buildings. Also,there are no blackout curtains so when the sun comes up, you're awake unless you use eyeshades. The building itself, though, is quiet. Its too bad the city of Honolulu doesn't have enforceable excessive noise ordinances.

Having stayed in this type of unit at the Ilikai before, we knew what to expect. Its spacious and secure. THE GOOD: The unit overall was clean and exceptionally well- appointed. The location is convenient to heading into Waikiki and heading out to other parts of the island. A MAJOR PLUS IS THE ON-SITE PARKING SPACE IN THE GARAGE, INCLUDED WITH THE STAY! The check-in was seamless, with the manager answering our call and gaining us access right away. THE BAD: The remodel stopped at the shower door and stall, which had quite a bit of mold and grout damage that could have easily been cleaned, A plumbing issue on the second day could not be repaired until the next day. They offered us a 15% discount for our trouble and we, of course, accepted. Our major dissatisfaction and disappointment is that we still have not received the refund, and multiple polite texts regarding it have been ignored! It appears they do not intend to honor their promise. Please note the condo is on the street side, and there is non-stop traffic day and night. We had to accept this location to get the Ilikai on short notice due to a family emergency. We did not know the noise would make use of the lanai uncomfortable most of the time. I would rate this much higher, with the caveats noted, had they not failed to honor their promised refund or even respond to our questions about it. This spoiled our overall impression of them and the experience.

The check in process was very easy. We called Paul when we landed and he met us upon arrival to the property and directed us to the included parking spot. Paul took us up to our room and showed us around our room and the property so we could see where everything was. The patio had a great view of downtown and the mountains. The street noise was a bit loud but the slider doors did a good job of keeping the noise out of the room. I would recommend more towel hooks to hang beach and bath towels since there is no laundry service and we were there for 8 days. I would recommend something to hold the curtain back that is over the air conditioning unit When the air is running the curtain blows in front of it so we set a bottle there to hold it back and it helped. Overall the property was clean. The floor was a bit dirty and could have been mopped a little better. The vent in the shower was dirty and needs cleaned. The toilet seat wasn’t very comfortable to sit on and it was at a very weird angle. The shower door and floor could be updated, but overall was clean. We were happy with the property and would stay again. The included parking spot was awesome! Parking is hard to find so this was nice to have so we didn’t have to worry about parking!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for the weekend and it was perfect for what we needed. Like prior reviews I do wish that there was a full body mirror. But I did enjoy having no key and just having the code on the door. Paul was very nice to talk to but I did ask about late check out (noted that I did text the day of when asked to notify them the day before) but I did not get a message back, I also called as well. I feel like yes I did call/text later than usual but a reply back would have been nice just to confirm. Overall, It was a great experience and I would recommend.

The unit was very nice and well maintained. The bed was comfortable and there was no noise from the surrounding units. It was very clean, but I didn’t give 5 stars, as spotless is a hard standard to achieve. But I’d give 4.5 stars, if possible. It was nicely furnished as well. Paul, the property manager, was very friendly & helpful! He even promptly provided us with replacement beach chairs when we discovered that one of ours was broken. Checking in & out were super easy. The one recommendation I do have would be to add a full length mirror into the unit. It would be nice to have, but it does not detract from how great this property is. We also loved having the included parking space and the Wi-Fi, which worked perfectly. I also liked all of the info that was included in the Hospitality App. It was informative and helpful. We highly recommend Cinnamon’s, the restaurant that was in the courtyard of this building! It was excellent! And we really enjoyed Pesca for lunch one day, which was on the 30th floor. Be sure to check out Dave’s Ice Cream as well! Which was also in the courtyard area. The location worked well for all of the different directions we headed when exploring Honolulu and the rest of the island. We would most definitely stay here again! We had such a wonderful time on our anniversary trip, and this rental was a part of the magic that was our first trip to Hawaii! Mahalo!

Free parking is definitely a merit. Communication with the property manager could have been smoother. Very nice on phone calls but can come out unfriendly through texts. The apt was very nicely renovated and clean. Had fully equipped kitchen and was a nice stay. The water pressure in the toilet could be improved. Nonetheless it was a great stay and would recommend to visitors if they are looking for accommodation with kitchen.

They even let us know about the Friday fireworks on Oahu that can be seen from a variety of locations in Waikiki. We were able to arrange a late check out that accommodated our departure time. The amenities included the basic necessities and the space was great for my husband and I to end the last few days of our honeymoon with parking availability for our rental car included with the reservation.

The floor was dirty so I complained and Paul said he had cleaners come in that Tuesday to clean the floors - unfortunately they were still dirty. We take our shoes off when we come in our own home and we did so in the condo. I had to keep a washcloth by the bed to wipe my feet before I got into bed at night. The air conditioner had to be operated manually because batteries in ac we’re dead. Very noisy location when windows were open.

Using the digital keypad was also easy and great to not have to keep track of additional keys. We rented a vehicle and they left the key to the garage on the counter for us. Also checking out of our room was also very easy as well. Unfortunately during our stay, they had to cut the water off for maintenance for a few hours in just our room. It was an uncomfortable inconvenience to get ready via water bottles.

I was finally able to take my 15 day vacation in Waikiki and I’m sure glad I did! This is a gorgeous condo stocked with all the cooking utensils and everything you need for a comfortable stay! I did buy an extra pair of sheets. Although there is washer/dryer just down the hall from the condo. So it was really nice to be able to do my laundry anytime I needed. Checkin was easy. They gave me a code to use to enter the condo. I also had my own parking space and key fob to park my rental car. The location is perfect. It’s a beachfront property right in Waikiki and only a few blocks away from The Ala Moana Shopping Mall. I will stay here again! Captain Cook is a great Property Management Company! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Great location, lots within walking distance. Every hotel around, you are charged $50+ for nightly parking. This unit includes free parking, great perk. Kitchen in unit was great to have. Only down side for this property, the bed was very hard and uncomfortable. By day 4 both our backs were sore. Bathroom appeared to be updated per pics , however the shower floor was absolutely disgusting. Could use a huge scrubbing better yet a whole new shower pan. I wore flip flops for ever shower. Also added a broom would be very useful, especially after a trip to the beach.

Shopping and restaurants are a short walk away, as is the beach. Paul was quick to respond and very helpful as our host. The elevators get busy during the day, but the wait time isn't unbearable. As might be expected, there is a good deal of street noise, but when the doors are shut most of it isn't noticeable. We might have preferred an ocean view, but this price is hard to beat.

The huge balcony that took up the whole outer wall and had plenty of sitting room made this place seem larger. It was clean, and made my stay away from home feel like I was right at home vs the feeling of being in a hotel. There was no noise heard from neighbors above, below, either side, nor noise from the hallway. I was happy to stay here and would do so again.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location, there is a separate laundry room on the floor, one could tell by the elevators, carpeting, lighting, pool, general property amenities that the property had not been updated in at least a decade. The room itself was cozy, bed was comfortable, shower had good pressure. Couch was nice, overall a good place to rest our heads. Balcony to sit out and have morning coffee was nice however it was a little scary looking over to the balcony next to us to see it had been covered in bird poop and clearly had been deserted for a while. Self parking was a bit tough, as someone petite it was difficult to get the car close enough to swipe in and swipe out each time. Also the way the hotel managed pickup/dropoff/valet looked like it was waiting for an accident to happen. Ice cream shop and convenience store downstairs were great. It's a nice enough place but I probably wouldn't stay again.

We really enjoyed this property. The price is great for what you get. You aren’t staying on a beach but honestly we were there in the morning and night. We didn’t want to waste money on a resort since we weren’t going to be there much. The kitchen is nicely updated and the balcony is a nice touch. The bathroom needs to be a little updated, like the shower. But overall was just fine. The parking spot it comes with is FANTASTIC! It’s so expensive otherwise so that was a great bonus to this rental. We would definitely stay here again!

We decided on this unit as it was in the same hotel as our friends who were celebrating a birthday. I read the reviews and counted on the oversights being addressed. As a luxury property manager and concierge, we enjoy many properties and give each property leniency as you learn the quirks that make them special. Reservations: Easy with VRBO and received prompt contact from Captain Cook Realty to finalize. Submitted the additional information (additional guest name, parking necessity, vehicle info, etc). We then waited in anticipation to begin our staycation. Check In Glitch: Followed check in instructions with property manager, no response. After a half hour wait, we connected with the reservationists, who did her best assisting us in locating the property manager. We were in our room within an hour. Unit Review: The unit itself is laid out nicely with beach decor making it feel very homey. The only downside are the beautifully tiled floors that have no rugs, so your feet will end up very dirty unless you use footwear. The kitchen has a full fridge and a 4-burner stove! We love cooking and it was splendid to have the necessary utensils/pots/pans. Note: There are no spices/oil on site, so don’t forget to put that on your shopping list. Parking: Was amazing to have secured parking for our vehicle. We had a glitch with the parking that was completely our oversight. We did not know there were assigned parking (it is indicated on the parking card.) 🤪 Extension Glitch: We tried to connect with the property manager the day-before and day-of our check out (phone and text) to ask for a later check out time. No response. Check Out Glitch: The elevators were very very busy the morning of our check out, we had 2 make 2 trips to the car with our luggage. After our first trip to the car that started at 10:45am, we got back to the unit at 11:07am and were locked out. Standing outside of our unit, we texted and called property manager who returned our call promptly and was able to remotely unlock the door for us to retrieve the last of our luggage and return the parking card. Overall Review: Sweet unit, easy access to Waikiki and Ala Moana Shopping Center. Quiet unit, even though you’re facing the street. Great place to just relax and unwind. While it is unlikely we would stay again, we would recommend this unit. Aloha!

We had a few issues with check in. We thought we would be greeted but that isn't how it work despite following the directions on informing Paul upon our arrival.. Nonetheless we had issues obtaining the parking pass but once we ironed that out we had a pleasant stay. I did have issues with the tile in the shower in that I wished it was cleaner than it was and the bathroom sink had a slow drain which I did point out to Paul on our departure and hoping that this would be fixed for the next guest. The condo is in a great location and you have a great view of the city. We would stay here again.

We had a wonderful time in Hawaii. The accommodations were exactly what we were expecting and more. Very clean, nicely decorated with a wonderful kitchen. This room's balcony overlooks the city and was great for us to sit out on a night. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay!!!
