Stay here to enjoy a great condo in a great Konea tower! Has chairs, coolers, etc.. Condo grocery store at the bottom of this tower is very convenient for last minute pinch shopping. Also loved the Spa and Work out center was in this tower. Great food at Dukes and the local cafe in the Hokulani tower. Our AC went out but KBM got someone over to our unit quickly to fix it! Great service!

Overall great stay, except the check-in process was terrible and the underground parking is not adequate for the guest population. Be prepared to handle your own bags, not find a parking spot in the garage, not have access to a luggage cart.

We stayed at Honua Kai 3 years ago and really enjoyed ourselves. This trip we were unfortunately disappointed. We paid for an expensive 2 bedroom room with ocean view. The room had been cleaned but the curtains and couch had a bunch of stains on them, the fridge water dispenser was broken, the light fixture above the dining table was full of dead bugs, the patio furniture had a bunch of bird poop on it, the shower needed to be re-grouted. The pools were crowded with children and families and one of the hot tubs was broken for the duration of our stay. The hallway walking to the elevator smelled like trash from the trash shoot. We did find it easy to order take out from dukes and you can walk about a mile down the boardwalk to find a great beach. We ended up cutting our stay short and went to stay in a luxury hotel in Wailea. For the price I was paying for Honua Kai I was disappointed.

There’s nothing not to love with this listing! While we didn’t spend much time lounging in the condo, it was large and well stocked with everything we needed. Although doing laundry on vacation isn’t everyone’s dream, it made packing light possible. The balcony was tough to beat- a perfect place to start and end the day! The views were fantastic and we loved watching the whales! We spent a lot of time at the pools and green spaces. The beach is beautiful, but beware of sharp rocks! Overall, this is an incredible property!! You will not be disappointed!

We very much enjoyed our stay at this beautiful unit. The building is well-maintained, the furnishings in the unit are all very nice, the towels are of decent thickness, the property management company was responsive and a pleasure to work with; and the grounds, pool,, etc. are beautiful. That being said, the parking in the parking garage is wholly inadequate for the size of the building. The spaces are tiny, the lanes are very narrow, and there simply are nowhere near enough parking spaces for the number of units in the building. Parking was a struggle every time we came back to the building. We had a handicapped permit for our vehicle because one of us is disabled and has severe mobility issues, but even with the permit, we often had nowhere to park. I think there were maybe 3 wheelchair/disabled parking spaces, but finding ANY parking was a miracle. Our other issue is that the unit is not very well supplied as far as sauce pans, frying pans, baking pans, serving ware and other kitchen basics. The cupboards were mostly bare because very little was provided. In addition, there were absolutely NO necessities provided as far as aluminum foil, spices, storage containers, plastic bags, etc. We rent through Vrbo on a frequent basis and have rarely, if ever, stayed at a property (especially one in this price range) that did not provide basic kitchenware and accoutrements that would allow you to cook pasta, sauce and a vegetable for four people. It should also be noted that the ice maker in the freezer produces ice about as fast as a moving glacier. Plan to buy ice at the market in the lobby. Duke’s restaurant on the property serves a wonderful dinner in a beautiful setting. Duke’s also provide poolside service during the day, but the poolside service is spotty and the poolside drinks are sub-par. You are better off making dinner reservations and eating in the restaurant rather than ordering poolside. Again, it is a beautiful property, but because of the parking and the lack of basic kitchen items, we give it an overall 4-star rating.

The 2 bedroom unit was gorgeous! Great view of ocean and Moloka’i. Very spacious unit. Some basic kitchen items were missing (no spatula, only one small metal sheet pan for use in the oven) but the unit was otherwise so beautiful that it wasn’t a huge deal. Will definitely stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 839 Hanna Kai! This was our third time here and we loved the incredible view as well as the spacious layout of our unit. This place is within walking distance of just about everything and we enjoyed the beautiful pool and surroundings! Highly recommend this place!

The resort is top notch with Duke's on the premises. Secure, clean and well represented in the marketing. The only issue was limited garage parking. Unit, hallway and common areas were clean.

Beautiful and spacious unit. Friendly and helpful staff. We booked this trip pretty last minute during a very busy time, and with the help of Helena, at the concierge desk, we had a perfect itinerary. She handled everything and took the stress out of planning. We will definitely be back to this property.

Great property and beautiful views. Lack of parking and restaurant / food options were the only draw backs.

We are a family of 4 and really enjoyed this property. The view was amazing! We loved this area of Maui. Lots of great restaurants and shopping nearby. We enjoyed having the kitchen to make breakfast each morning and the washer and dryer was also very convenient. For us it would have been more ideal if one of the bedrooms had two beds but the pull out couch worked well. I highly recommend this unit and resort and hope to return one day.
