I traveled to Maui for work and found this place and so happy I did. The condo is beautiful, comfortable beds and sitting spaces in the living room and patio. The views are exactly what are described and are stunning and the beach was right by the condo. It was amazing. Sandy was wonderful to work with and looking forward to booking again when I come back to Maui for my next trip.

Condo and view was gorgeous! Stayed for 5 days, rented jeep to explore Maui. Location super convenient to get around island and to grab dinners out ;) walking path was great to get to resort/restaurant areas. Few minor things with condo and was able to communicate with owner via text with prompt resolution. Overall a Great visit!!!

Beautiful condo right on the beach with fantastic sunsets. . We had everything we needed. It was close enough to walk to the grocery store, food trucks, and a couple of restaurants. It's a little quieter than some of the busy resorts nearby, which we appreciated. We'd stay here again.

This home was just like the pictures, but seeing the views in person was amazing! Everything was clean and inviting. It was great to have the twin beds for our kids. We love the Ka’anapali area as well. Sandy was very quick to respond when I had a question about the Wifi. We had no other issues. It was fun spotting sea turtles from the balcony! I can’t wait to go back!

The minute we walked in, it felt like home! Everything is very clean and well taken care off. The views of the ocean and mountains are amazing from every side of the condo. We saw turtles swimming on the reef below. The property is in a great location, about a three minute walk to Dukes without paying all the resort fees. It is a great place to snorkel just off the beach. Close to food truck park, restaurants, and store. Property is very quiet and the host has been amazing to work with. She communicates well and bent over backwards to ensure we had a nice vacation.

The condo was fantastic. Can't say enough about the view. There is no condo on the island closer to the water without being in it. The sunset was great. Having coffee on the patio while the sun is coming up is fantastic. Just far enough off the main Kaanapali beach to be quiet but close enough to walk or drive to everything. The condo was clean, and very classy. Host was friendly, proactive, and very accommodating. We would stay there again in a heartbeat, or probably not stay anywhere else on the island.

This condo was great for our 2 week stay in Maui.
There was plenty of space for us and all our scuba gear.
It is in a great location close to dive shops, dive locations and lots of great restaurants.
The communal grill areas are cleaned every morning and are immaculate.
Communicating with Sandy with very easy and she was always quick to respond.
We would definitely consider staying here again on a future trip.

This property is truly outstanding. The 10th floor 2BR/2BA unit is exactly as advertised. Well-appointed and clearly cared for, it's a perfect getaway for 2-4 people. Spectacular sunsets as close to the beach as you can get, and located in a great area for dining and excursions. Highly recommend.

A lot of times the pictures you see online make the property look so much better than in real life, but not with this one! It is even more amazing in person! This condo is so spacious and comfortable. It was absolutely perfect for the kids to have their own space in the 2nd bedroom and even their own bathroom. The beds were so comfortable and the kids were exclaiming over how soft and cozy the duvets were!
The views from the living room are unreal. It feels like you are on a ship looking out on the ocean! Sandy was quick to respond to any questions I had and the condo had everything we needed. It was in a quieter area which we loved, yet it was also a short drive or walk to more action. We rented a Jeep and explored the whole island. Definitely stay at this condo!! 10/10!

Family of four--place was awesome as far as location. 10th floor directly on beach. Simple check in and free parking. Food trucks within walking distance as was grocery store. No keys required as everything was keypad including access to westin property down the beach. Has all amenities.

This condo was a dream!!! My husband and I have been visiting Maui for 24 years… we celebrated our 24th anniversary this time! It is “hands down” the best view we have ever been blessed to enjoy. The best sunsets, rainbows over Molokai, whales & turtles galore, secluded beach and a comfy, homey environment to eat and lay our hands down at night. Our buckets were full! Memories made! Really enjoyed this condo with spectacular views of the ocean. The whale watching was truly amazing. There seem to be windows everywhere and every view is truly spectacular. The lanai was really wonderful The condo is quite comfortable and perfect for 3-4. There were beach towels and chairs Unfortunately the television in the main room was broken but will be replaced shortly. There is construction going on as warned but it was only a little noisy—many of the condos are being enhanced for weather. There is a nice beach next door. The kitchen was quite functional. There is a decent full market just a couple of blocks away. We were only 10 min from downtown Lahaina. Overall this is a really wonderful condo and really provided an amazing place to enjoy Maui sunrise sunset whale watching

If you're like me, you research properties meticulously before taking your family on vacation. I'm completing this review for three reasons: 1) to convey how amazing this property is, 2) to impart how easy the owner (Sandy) is to work with, and 3) to save you some search time as you peruse properties. This condo was amazing - clean, comfortable, incredible views! The amenities such as the pool, hot tub and outdoor grills were also quite nice. Fun stuff to do close by such as water sports (Sea Maui was terrific for snorkel and cocktail sunset cruise), Whaler's Village and Lahaina was not a far drive. Sandy was awesome. She kept us apprised as the trip approached and actually warned us ahead of time that there could be work being done to the façade of the complex. Thankfully this was not an issue, but her communication was most appreciated. We are a family of four with a 20 and 17 y/o. There was plenty of room and we loved the unit. We hope to return again soon and when that happens, we wouldn't hesitate to rebook this condo.

Beautifully remodeled and decorated, prefectly arrainged furniture, AMAZING front row seat for sunset every evening. Kitchen has everything you need, nothing is left out. Three in my microfamily and we had plenty of space. There is beach gear, including folding chairs, cooler and 3 sets of snorkle & mask in bedroom closet. The stacked washer and dryer work great and everything is provided. Wifi is awesome. The elevator at Mahana is super fast, the parking is plentiful and easy. Going south you can walk a long way on the beach. My only comment, and I mentioned this to the owner .. I'd be nice to have something onwhich to play music, maybe sync your phone to a set of BOSE speakers. So until then, you might bring your own small speaker. Otherwise, awesome 10th floor condo on the corner, so windows on the side too. I say go for this one.

Wonderful property and location. Views were unobstructed by anything including palm trees. End unit with large windows and a nice patio. Quiet unit and building. Multiple barbecue grills if you wish to eat in. Nice pool but lawn chairs are also outside the pool so you can get up close to the beach and the ocean. The setback to the beach is the least of any building in Kaanapoli. Unit faces west so sunsets are enduring. MBR with your choice of an open patio door allows one to hear constant ocean waves breaking on the shore. Building is at the beginning of a nice long boardwalk for those that do not prefer walking on the beach. Fine dining nearby or walk to other inexpensive places. A large supermarket is also a short walk with reasonable food prices, and a large wine selection. Laundry, towels, snorkeling gear etc all good. On windy days the surfers are right out front. Owner is responsive.

This was our first time renting a condo and we were pleasantly surprised at how easy and stress free the process was. The drive to the Mahana is very easy and upon arrival we found the condo to be well stocked with all the supplies we needed. The layout was great and the beds very comfortable. Being a corner unit, the views are amazing. Sitting out on the lanai after a day at the beach or sightseeing was a relaxing end to the day. The Mahana has an Activity Desk as well which helped plan some tours for us and our two teenagers. The condo's location made it easy to get to all the major sites and activities as well as being close to grocery stores. Overall we had an amazing week. Thanks for sharing your beautiful condo!

This is our second stay in this unit and once again it was simply amazing. You can see all of our comments from our first post (12/28/12) which are all still true. Some updates...there is a new lazy boy chair for those who just like to relax after a tough day on the beach and the turtles were out in force on this trip. Right in front of the unit are three turtles that appear to be living on or near the coral reef. We got up and close to two of them a few times and they are so laid back as they feed off the reef. I would highly recommend this place for families of 4 - 6 as it is soooo comfortable and stocked with all the stuff you will need for a vacation. It took me a while but finally getting to this review - this unit was perferct! Spectacular views, right on the beach, clean and a lot of extra's (coolers, snorkel gear etc). The location is great - can walk the beach all the way to Black Rock or walk the boardwalk all the way to Black Rock. We were in Maui for my stepdaughter's 30th Birthday and the two seperate bedrooms each with it's own bathroom was great for privacy - the boardwalk was also great for her since she's a runner. Kitchen was well stocked, we made breakfast often and even brought home our catch from a fishing trip to cook for dinner one night so it was good to have the option to eat in sometimes. There is also an activity planner onsite - we loved the kayak/snorkeling trip but there is also awesome snorkeling right down the beach! Saw massive turtles while snorkeling right between the Mahana and Black Rock. The worst part was leaving...hope to visit again soon!

My husband and I along with our son & his girlfriend stayed at this tropical paradise for 8 nights. The condo was exactly as described and then some! The views were incredible and we never tired of spending time on the lanai taking in the sound of the ocean and swaying palm trees. Of course the sunsets were amazing along with the beautiful rainbows that we viewed daily. Our first day we saw a spectacular rainbow over the ocean from the front window. The condo, along with the grounds, were very clean and comfortable. We were lacking for nothing as the kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, pots, dishes, soap, etc. There were plenty of towels and soap for the bathrooms as well as generous sized beach towels. The Master Bedroom was a nice size with a comfortable King size bed that looked out over the beach & ocean. It was such a treat to hear the sound of the waves at night - wish I could have taken that home with me! The second bedroom was also a good size with a serene view of the mountains and daily rainbows. There was plenty of space for 4 adults. We could have stayed a month or more! The condo is in a great location. There is a grocery store just five minutes away where we found everything we needed. The prices were a little better there than in Lahaina. Next door, at Duke's, there is a great beach bar that is perfect for late afternoon drinks after relaxing on the beach. You can walk over in your swim suit right from the beach. The grills by the pool are very clean and great for an evening when you don't feel like heading out to a restaurant. The owner, Sandy, was wonderful to work with. She promptly answered all our questions and made this a stress free experience This was our first time renting through VRBO and we weren't sure what to expect. Our entire experience from start to finish was so good that we will definitely do it again. Overall, I would highly recommend this for all ages. If you are looking for a beautiful, relaxing vacation with spectacular views then this is the place for you!

We have stayed at the Mahana several times and found this unit to be one of our favorites. The home is well supplied and tastefully decorated. The beds are top quality as are the furnishings. The view from the Mahana can not be beat and this tenth floor unit offers a unobstructed view of the ocean and a nice overlook to the pool area. The owners are very helpful and a pleasure to work with. They conduct a professional and easy business transaction. We will most definitely try to stay in this lovely home on our next trip to Kaanapali.

We had an exceptional visit to Hawaii and especially appreciated our stay in a Mahana condo. I have not rented a condo before and found the process with these owners easy and stress-free. A condo allowed us to keep the family all together while grandma could have her own bedroom. The location was very convenient for our needs. We ate most meals in using the well-stocked kitchen and ground level BBQ, although there appeared to be many restaurants close. We stopped at Costco by the airport (which was quite busy, by the way) and there was a handy supermarket right down the street from the condo. From the balcony we viewed whales and turtles every day of our stay. A short walk to the beach, and jogged along the boardwalk several times. The washer / dryer were used much more than I anticipated and may become a "must - have" in my future travels...
I would definitely return here for a future vacation!

Simple awesome is the best way to describe this spacious, two bedroom condo with views to the west, north and east. This unit had everything that you would expect to find in a five star accommodation including some cool extras: in suite laundry, snorkel sets, boogie boards, coolers and binoculars to enjoy the incredible views. We say turtles, whales, spinner dolphins all from the comfort of our lanai and living room. This 10th floor ocean front unit makes you feel like your standing on top of the ocean and provides some stunning views of Molakai, Lanai and sunsets. The beds are very comfortable with the master being better than my own bed at home and that is saying something. We very much enjoyed our 10 days at this location and have already inquired about staying in this unit again next year. Thanks so much for your generous hospitality, we really enjoyed our stay at the Mahana.

It is a perfect location with a perfect sunrise & sunset daily. You will be near many great places to eat, golf, and snorkel. There are local restaurants as well as elegant places to dine. The condo is nery nicely decorated with a fully stocked kitchen. The only items missing were pails & shovels which we added to the condo and boggy board. It is definitely the place you want to be. The owners are friendly and return emails quickly if you have questions while you are there.

If you like a view, this is the condo! Not only do you have a super view of the sunsets, whales and boats from the lanai or living room, you can also watch the sun come up over the mountains on the other side. I believe only the two bedrooms have this view. The condo is well equiped and it was great to have all the amenities you need for cooking, cleaning and washing clothes. For grocery shopping there is a small mall (only a 5 min walk) and we found most prices cheaper the grocery stores in Lahina. We also found the Mahana staff to be very friendly, helpful and they keep the BBQs, pool, hot tub and grounds in tip top shape. The Kaanapali area is quieter than some of the other resort areas, and most people will appreciate that after you do some day trips around Lahina and Whalers Village. In summary, we would highly recommend the Mahana, and this condo, to anyone looking for a great holiday experience.

1011 is the nicest Mahana condo we've ever stayed in, and this was our sixth stay at the complex. The Mahana is fantastic, with views from every condo, and 1011 is no exception. EXCEPT: there are views to three sides of the building, not possible from most other properties. And the Oughtreds have provided for guests' every need. The kingsize bed is possibly the most comfortable we've ever enjoyed, and all the amenities -- from good quality binoculars to an excellent TV -- are top rate. The stove, microwave and refrigerator/freezer are all new and excellent quality. Even the lovely everyday dishes, flowered to reflect the Hawaiian ambiance, and the lovely pastel place mats and napkins are a great touch.
We can't tell you how much we appreciated John and Betchy's sharing this amazing two-bedroom with us. We were able to accommodate family members who would not have had the chance to visit Maui otherwise -- and they were as delighted as we were. From sunrise to sunset -- and beyond -- we just wanted to sit on the lanai and enjoy the whales, outriggers, turtles, surfers and kite sailors. It's a marvelous spot, and 1011 has to be about the best place to enjoy it.

This is a perfect location for whale-watching! This comfortable and spacious corner unit is perfectly situated for watching all the action on the water below, especially in winter during the calving and breeding season. Walls of windows on three of the four sides make it light and airy! We were delighted with our second stay at the Mahana and this unit on the 10th floor is the best. Though it is not newly updated like some others and could probably use it, we were very comfortable and everything was thoughtfully provided for our enjoyment, even binoculars and beach towels. We walked along the beach walk to the neighboring condos and enjoyed Duke's Beachside Restaurant and the 'Aina Gourmet Market next door at the Honua Kai and on down to the Sheraton at Black Rock for their poolside bar and great snorkeling.
This was our first time using VRBO which was a great way to connect with the rental. The owners are wonderful to work with and have the system down for check-in. There is a cleaning fee for the stay so no daily maid service, but we were told that could be arranged if necessary. In our many stays in the Kaanapali area and the islands in general, we found that the "cleaning" is very questionable and rarely up to our standards. Same case here, I'm sorry to say. But that is the only negative that we found in our otherwise wonderful experience. Take advantage of the Expedia Activity Desk Concierge who will invite you to a complimentary continental breakfast and make a presentation on things to do while there. We booked the all-day tour to Hana by Valley Isles Excursions which was worth doing if you have the time. Also loved the Pacific Whale Foundation snorkeling trip to Molokini Crater and Lanai and the Feast at Lele for an intimate, upscale Luau experience. There are many good restaurants in Kaanapali,Lahaina and Wailea and this time we explored the upcountry region on our way to the top of Haleakala which is amazing! If you go, stop at the Hali'imaile General Store (near Makawao) for lunch, a very popular gourmet restaurant and Paia for shopping and casual dining and lunch at Mama's Fish House for a very special treat. (Lunch is better so you can see the gorgeous setting right by the surf under the swaying coconut palms and generally no reservations are needed for lunch!)

Our one week stay in Maui was awesome. This unit and the surrounding grounds of the Mahana are kept immaculate.Spectacular views and sunsets from the lanai, we even saw whales swimming by.Being right on Kaanapalli beach gives a definate wow factor to this property.As a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teenagers) this unit has all the comforts of home and more than enough space.We can't wait for our return to Maui and would definitely stay at the Mahana again.

I have always believed less is more in a review. This is the place to go to if you need a value oriented hub for relaxation, vistas, and convenience for the adult thrill seeker, family, or even business client.
I will go back to this resort again for the wonderful beach and friendly service.
The only thing missing is a restaurant within the building complex, yet, one is in walking distance.

A stunning condo with a jaw-dropping view in a exceedingly well-run building at the north end of Kaanapali Beach - pretty hard to beat. The view of the sunset alone was worth it but the condo itself was immaculate and very well stocked with everything we needed. We found the owners extremely gracious and a pleasure to deal with - lots of "aloha"! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our week there, we've been to Maui seven times and have stayed at different places each time but we intend to return to this unit every chance we get in the future.
