Overall home decor is cheap and outdated (to put it kindly). Add to that a long list of deferred maintenance and condition problems, all of which we brought to Vacasa's attention within the first 2 days of our stay. But only 1 issue was addressed while we were there (HVAC filters clogged with 4 years of dust and debris were replaced).
Problems include: VERY FILTHY entry/kitchen/dining/living room tile. Dirty and stained carpets throughout. Scuffed walls. Burned out light bulbs in the oven and in one bedroom. Dirty windows. Screens missing from some windows. Bathroom and shower floors filthy, with black gooey grout in places. One toilet rocks back and forth (not secured to floor). Most bath faucets lined in dirt and crud at the base. Master shower door sweep literally orange-brown with years of caked scum. Cheap bedding and towels, some threadbare. Dirty and stained dining room chair seats. Dusty light fixtures with old spiderwebs. Rusty dishwasher rack. Outdoor BBQ so filthy and covered in grease it caught on fire while cooking a small steak (which burned and had to be thrown out). Lanai tile floor filthy (especially near the BBQ) and all seating areas dirty and unusable. Ironing board cover flapped around loose and unattached due to stretched out elastic. Slow-draining sink in one bathroom. Refrigerator water filter is expired and fridge service light on (refrigerator runs constantly; coils and air filter undoubtedly clogged). A couple loose and wobbly dining room chair legs. Master bedroom bench legs also loose and wobbly. And on and on. All documented with photos and videos.
Vacasa could have remedied many if not most of these issues while we were there. But all they could manage was “sorry for your inconvenience” corporate b.s. Overall a frustrating and disappointing experience.

The condo opens up wonderfully to the outdoors for a true tropical vacation. Feel the breeze, listen to the birds - wonderful!

Amazing property, would recommend and have plans to stay again. Huge house, kitchen had everything we needed and more, outdoor kitchen/bbq was used often. Location is spectacular with easy access to beach club. House was stocked with beach toys for the kids, numerous beach chairs and umbrella, more than enough beach towels, a cooler, and more. We had an amazing vacation and this house provided everything we needed when traveling with kids.

We enjoyed our stay in this home. It had all the amenities we needed for a great stay. Truly appreciated the beach chairs and boogie boards that were available to use in the garage. We ate most of our meals on the back lanai with sliding doors. It is a short walk on the same street to the community pool which is convenient, and close to the Shops at Mauna Lani.

My wife, daughter and son in law found the perfect family location to access the entire Koala Coast. The home was very well equipped with beach chairs and amenities. The bedding was excellent. The checkin and follow up were excellent.

Listing did not disclose the air conditioning was set at 73 at the lowest. Changed to 75 and to 80 during the day without notice. After a few complaints they allowed us to go down to 72. Still changed to 75 and 80 during the day. We have our home set at 70 due to the heat and humidity which is similar to Hawaii’s weather. Unit has no rice maker. BBQ did not work and was dirty. Maintenance did fix it quickly. Be aware of roaches! Bedding was a joke. Thin blankets with cheap sheets. At the day of arrival, we did not have a code to get in the property, spoke with several people to get access and kept getting disconnected after being on hold for 20 minutes or longer. 2 people told us we didn’t get the welcome package due to an unsigned contract. After several calls we finally had a lady that knew what she was doing and said that contract was signed and the error was with their system. The property is in the Villages. A step above the fairways and that’s about it. Property is overpriced for the location. That’s was my fault, been coming here for 22 years and as a previous owner, should’ve known. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this place.

This place was clean. Easy check in. Good management company. BUT NO blinds on main level. There is clear eye line to multiple neighbours windows!!!

We found the fridge was dirty upon arrival, complete with dirty fingerprints, smudged grease on oven fan hood, dirty water dispenser on fridge, frying pans were stacked but not cleaned (egg whites still on), underwear and other items behind bathroom drawers that had been left. In all, it was a massive disappointment upon arrival, and way below expectations, especially given the price which in more in keeping with high end luxury accommodation.

The layout of the home allowed our family to enjoy time together, or time alone. It is located next door to the small mall so that you can grab a coffee, or groceries. It is further north than the Waikoloa area, but only by 10 minutes so it was not an issue for us.

I loved the spaces in the home inside and out , having everything needed for making meals, easy walk to the pool and gym, and a quick drive to the beach club with wonderful snorkeling. Didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to return!

This is going to be a long review because I can't say enough great things about this home and how we felt so blessed to stay there for our week-long trip. I wish we could have stayed there longer! I would recommend that any family looking to stay in a lovely home in a perfect location book this home!
The House - You can tell that the owner of this house values hospitality and provides guests with quality for comfort and enjoyment. The house is super spacious and we loved the decor. The beds in all three bedrooms have memory foam or pillow top mattresses so every night we all slept well, even my son who has problems sleeping in new environments. The bed linens and towels are high quality and new, clean, and plentiful. We loved that each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom! The kitchen is immaculate with top notch appliances and everything you could want for preparing meals. There was plenty of cutlery, glassware, and dinnerware that we literally only ran the dishwasher once a day (meaning you only have to empty the dishwasher once a day, LOL!). My husband loved the outdoor kitchen, especially the grill. The air conditioner is dual zone so even the upstairs stayed nice and cool. There are multiple lanais and my daughter spent time on each of them every day! I especially thought the small lanai off the kitchen was a nice place to sit and read. One thing we all remarked on is how sound-proof the home is. You couldn't hear the noise from one area of the house to another, or one room to another. My husband likes to stay up late watching TV and eating snacks, and even with the volume up we didn't hear a thing from the bedrooms. The wifi was fast even when we were all streaming our shows at the same time. We also loved having an attached garage, and the landscaping on the grounds are gorgeous.
The Villages Community - The unit is less than 1 minute walk to the community pool/gym. And it's about a 3 minute walk to the Shops at Mauna Lani. I walked to the shops almost daily and it was so convenient to be able to just put on my sandals and walk out the door versus having to drive. At Food Land Farms they have a great deli and poke counter as well as a cute selection of locally made food and gift items.
The Mauna Lani Beach Club - We planned on spending only the first day at this beach but after the first day we decided there was no reason to go to any other beaches. This is perfect for swimming and snorkeling. We loved having access to the Beach Club so making the quick drive with parking access was awesome. The condo has a cooler, 4 beach chairs, beach umbrella, 2 boogie boards, and other beach day supplies which were in new condition.
Vacasa - I can't say enough about how responsive and helpful the Vacasa staff was to us during our visit. They made us feel like VIPs. We contacted them several times with various questions about the condo and each time they responded right away and were so kind and gracious. We could tell they care about doing all they can to help guests enjoy their vacation.
If you stay at this home, not only will you be in one of the most beautiful and well-maintained properties in one of the best locations on the Big Island, but you will also be treated like VIPs.
