The area rug was in bad condition with dirty staining and lots of wear. The unit also had a strong musty mildew odor that was hard to breathe. We called to the property manager to report it. It did put a damper on the stay with having to take the time to deal with the issues.

Communication with the Captain Cook’s team was easy and just enough. (Not too intrusive but always available!) Check out was easy. (Many places will charge a cleaning fee and also ask you to clean before you leave!) We will definitely book with Captain Cook’s again!

Our family of five (three adults and two teens) had a fantastic time at this property. There was plenty of room for all of us, and the view was stunning. A trip to the beach was an elevator ride down and a short walk across the street. The unit had beach chairs and bodyboards, which we utilized frequently. There were a couple of things to be aware of—the seal on the window of the second bedroom was not very good, and given that we were on a high floor with lots of wind, the window produced a lot of noise that woke our kids up on occasion. Unfortunately, our Property Manager (James) was also not very responsive. There were a couple of times we texted him and did not get a response until we contacted the main info email, which seemed to get things moving. Nothing was urgent, and they eventually took care of everything we needed, but the response was a bit slow. Maybe text was not the best outlet to contact them, but we were not told otherwise. Other than a few issues, we enjoyed ourselves and would rent this property again.

This condo is amazing. The view is spectacular and the location couldn’t have been any better! We walked everywhere. The only Uber we had to take was to the wedding we were here for and golf. Great food and shopping is steps away! We would stay here again. The beds were hard but I asked James and he provided toppers. Great property manager! Everyone is great around the property!!

Spent three nights in this wonderful condo prior to boarding our cruise. This newly remodeled immaculate two bedroom was everything we could ask for! Spectacular location across the street from Waikiki Beach! Easy short walking distance to beach and shopping and dining. Very quick valet service for our rental car was included. Unbeatable view from 26th floor looking straight onto the beach with spacious balcony. Our group of three adults and one 10 yr old loved it. I have already recommended it to all my friends!!!

Even when I call the office, I can't get through to the answering machine. No matter how many times I try to call, I can't get through, and the cost of international calls continues to pile up. Eventually, they even started rejecting calls. After struggling for more than an hour, I finally managed to get in touch with another property manager, and when I asked about it, I was told that the person I was assigned was on vacation today. If the person in charge has changed, shouldn't you contact us in advance?

Amazing views of the ocean from the living room and master bedroom. The second bedroom has a view of Diamond head. Valet guys are friendly and sweet. Location is great.Cons: The second bedroom also has a view of the maintenance area so we kept the curtains down in that room the whole time. The first night we were there was a Sat. and even though you are on the 26th floor, you can hear so much street noise from all the partying. So if you are sensitive to noise, avoid Sat nights. The other nights we were there (Sun and Mon nights), the noise was fine and we slept great. The second bedroom window did not shut entirely and you can hear a howling whistling noise all night long. The first night there, that room was unuseable so my husband and I had no sleep. We put the kids in the master so they could sleep. I contacted the property manager the next morning about it- no apologies, no niceties, just that they will contact maintenance. Well maintenance never came but one of the property manager came himself around 5:30PM and fixed the issue and the kids slept great the next two nights. Overall: the place was great. If you are looking for a roomier place for a family of 4, this is it.

Love this place. This was our second time staying at the Waikiki beach tower. Condo didn’t disappoint. Plenty of room for our family of 4. Updates decor. Comfy beds. Full kitchen. The best location on Waikiki. Lobby staff very welcoming and included valet parking a bonus. Would easily have spent another $150 nightly on resort fees and parking at a hotel. Highly recommended. We’ll be back for sure.

It was amazing being so close to the beach and being able to enjoy a breathtaking view of the beach and ocean from our condo on the 26th floor. At one point he told us we were in a unit on the 19th floor. When we finally met him he seemed very distracted - always looking at his phone. The ice maker didn't work. We reported it to Paul and he told us to buy ice at the ABC store. It never was repaired during our 5 night stay. Hot water kettle was rusty inside so we couldn't use it. We never received any checkout instructions so we just left when the housekeeper arrived at 11am.

Would not hesitate to stay again. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed in this building several times before ( booking through Aston ) so quite familiar but this was first time using Captain Cook Rentals....fairly seamless , unit was terrific but noise due to renovations next door was very unwanted and we were not really happy that we were not informed that this would be occurring. Also the fridge had a slight leak and vacuum cleaner really did not work. ( no big deal but as we were there for 2 weeks I would have liked to do a quick clean )

It has been recently renovated and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We loved that there were only 2 units per floor, which made getting up and down using the elevator super quick. They allowed us to leave our luggage with them after check out and have us access to the 4th floor pool/lounge/showers area until we had to leave for the airport. The valet was also very convenient. We will definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay in this unit. It was even better in person (vs. the photos). The views of both Diamond Head and Waikiki beach were amazing!! And everyone from the Valet to the welcome desk personnel were very accommodating. They even gave us access to the floor that had the pool and showers after our check out time so we could get cleaned up before our late flight. I will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Oahu.

This was the perfect place to stay while in Waikiki. The view was incredible!! Drinking coffee on the lanai in the mornings and watching the sunsets from there in the evenings was the best. The space was perfect for the 5 of us. My son slept on the pullout couch and said it was great. The place was so clean and loved the location to everything. It was also nice to not have to worry about parking. It was well stocked and there was nothing the placed lacked. The only downfall was that the dishwasher was not working during our stay, but it didn't effect us too much since we had a shorter stay and Byron was very responsive and came out right away to help. Loved our stay there and miss that view already! Would definitely recommend this place!
