The Owners of Casa#237 have completed an incredible remodel. Top of the Line Kitchen & Bathroom with an amazing walk in shower. They have also ADDED A 2ND HALF BATHROOM! Wow! Very rare and special amenity, nearly unheard of at the Casa De Emdeko, so 1 bedroom, 2 bathroom!

This Deluxe, Largest 1 bedroom Floor plan at the Casa De Emdeko features a generous 920 interior square feet, and is positioned in a fantastic location in the development. It's only one unit off the front of the building nearest to the ocean.

This 2nd floor condo has a spacious lanai for outdoor dining or sunbathing! From the large private covered lanai you'll have a big view of the ocean just a few steps away; with plumeria trees, palms, and the big round saltwater pool at the ocean's edge. There's another delightful freshwater swimming pool close by, in the gardens near the fountains. At sunset the conch is blown and the tiki torches lit for your mellow evening barbecuing on our gas grills or relaxing on the lanai.

The Bedroom has a King sized bed with it's own private bathroom that features 2 sinks, and a gorgeous huge walk in shower.

The Kitchen is fully equipped to comfortably make meals for your group.

Central Air conditioning to keep cool in Hawaiis heat! There's a sleeper sofa in the Living room that's a "Full" Sized sleeper.
Maximum occupancy of 4 people. Elevators are at the complex too!!

Casa De Emdeko offers owners and guests the perfect blend of Hawaiian ambiance with tropical gardens and the songs of the many colorful birds enjoying the water features in the garden. Enjoy our garden pool located in the middle of a tropical setting. Casa also has one of the few oceanfront pools where you can swim and soak up the warm Hawaiian sun while watching the whales or dolphins play, depending on the season of your visit. Swaying palm trees on our private, sandy sunning area at the ocean's edge offers glorious sunsets with a special sense of serenity. Our cabana, barbecues and lanai tables are perfect for dinner gatherings with friends and making new friends from around the world.

Casa de Emdeko is a great complex and unit 237 is, in our opinion just what we need to relax and enjoy the Kailua Kona area. It is decorated in Hawaiian style and its location in the complex is great (one unit from the Ocean). Having 2 bathrooms is a welcome feature as well! Already planning our next visit!

This is a lovely place to stay. It is clean and fresh. It has been remodeled recently. The property was quite nice with 2 pools and a sandy spot for relaxing near the coast. The furnishings and bed were quite comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped. The bath was large, with double sinks and a nice shower. We would absolutely stay in this unit again if we head to Kona in the future!

Awesome location within the property and a beautiful ocean view from lanai. Comfortable bed for my husband and I while kids slept on a pullout bed. Our fave aspect were the two pools, especially the saltwater pool overlooking the ocean.

The kitchen is very well appointed. There is everything you could want or need. The washer dryer this year made a world of difference also. The only thing I couldn’t find in the kitchen was a cutting board.

The condo was very clean and the kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked with everything we needed The location was perfect, nice and quiet but an easy, few minute drive into downtown Kona for shopping or restaurants or south to Magic Sands or Captain Cook. The view from the lanai was outstanding and I miss it already! There was plenty of furniture both inside and outside for comfortable seating, but I will say that I found the bed to be too soft and not as comfortable (though I know that is very subjective). Wouldn't deter me from coming back though, as this condo was absolutely perfect for us. It was just my husband and I, so the size was perfect. It was plenty spacious for the 2 of us, but may have been a little small for a family. The extra half bath was much appreciated. The complex is very well kept and very quiet at night. We loved the salt water pool and beach area and enjoyed sitting in the courtyard in the evenings with tiki torches lit and watching the waves roll in. Knutson and Associates were very easy to work with and checked in with us during our stay to make sure everything was perfect for us - which it was. We had no issues or problems at all while we were there. If we ever have the privilege to come back to the Big Island, I would absolutely stay here again and wouldn't look anywhere else.

Everything in the kitchen was great and the amount of space was great - it was a bit tight once all 4 of us (two adults, two tween/teens) were in the space, but only when it came to maneuvering around a sleeping teen, which was not a surprise. The outside space is nice in the morning and the evenings, a great view of the sunset from the door or a walk down the steps to the lava rock wall, the pools were in great shape and the salt water pool was the favorite. The unit is in a nice location for getting to downtown Kona and we didn't hear any road noise as the unit is on the ocean end of the resort. I would happily return to this unit!

This is the perfect location! Location is convenient to the downtown area and evening sunsets are amazing. Locals and other travelers meet each evening to share the sunset ceremony while cooking dinner on the provided grills. The lanai’s location allows for a peaceful, morning view of the ocean while relaxing with coffee and breakfast.

Reviewer Comments: We always stay at Casa De Emdeko when we go to Kona-the location is great for us-just down from downtown ali'i drive which makes for a nice walk every morning. This was the nicest one we have stayed in because of the balcony set up and being right near the end of the units near the ocean. The amenities were fine-not having a washer and dryer in the unit was the only knock against it. They did have beach chairs for you to use and we used those at both hapuna and Makalawea beaches. We will definitely stay here again.

Day bed on lanai is wonderful spot.Renovation was top notch. Great master bath and separate powder room. Nice desk adjacent to the kitchen. Room for indoor and outdoor dining. Overlooks beach area, salt water pool and great view of the ocean. Will definitely look for an opportunity to return.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Lovely unit, well maintained, great view, nicely appointed. Great TV for movie nights. Would recommend updating kitchen range/oven as elements seem to be inconsistent in temperature. No light above range and "surface hot red warning light" does not turn off. A light near the master bedroom toilet would be a welcome improvement. Aside from these minor issues the unit itself was above average compared to many of the 52 year old condos at the Casa. Our family were original owners of 116 and enjoyed over 40 years of long vacations in what we considered our second home. It held a special place in our hearts. This is the first time I've noticed a change in how the residents engage with renters, somewhat negative and cold.... far from the Aloha spirit of Hawaii we usually felt at the Casa.. Also the emergency construction in the adjacent unit should have been coordinated with Knutson and/or nearby units so we could avoid the horrible noise of a jackhammer on concrete that shook our unit. We did appreciate the follow up with Knutson after we complained about the noise that, at this point, had been going on for 3 or 4 days .In the future, we would advise Knutson to inform their clients of these unforeseen but necessary inconveniences while they are at the Casa so they can plan their day avoiding this.

Our favorite part of the condo was the lanai which had a lounge bed and comfy furniture. There are trees blocking the view of the ocean as indicated in the photos, but you can hear the ocean waves from the balcony and overall you feel like you are right on the ocean. Every night we went to watch the beautiful sunset on the beach right outside the condo. The condo was equipped with beach chairs and lots of beach towels. We purchased a small umbrella and left that behind for the next guests. There were also fans in the closet which was nice. The air keeps it cool, but we like the extra noise at night. Overall, the condo had everything we needed and more. It was very quiet and private, the complex did not seem busy. The location is very convenient to Kailua-Kona with lots of restaurants and shopping a 5-minute drive away. You could also walk to town if you wanted, about 20 minutes. We can't wait to come back someday.

The ocean view is blocked by beautiful old frangipani trees. The community is friendly and welcoming. Great lava rock wall to sit and view the waves, dolphins, sunsets, and tide pools with crabs, fish, and eels. No elevator to bring bags up and down. The Saltwater pool was out of order during my short stay but the regular pool was open, and construction on passageways was going on. The work hours were reasonable and workers friendly. It impacted parking near accommodations, but all this shall pass, and the property will be better for it. Only small improvements would be the screen doors front and back, providing a starter laundry detergent, and connecting overhead light to switch in the main bedroom. I would stay here again without hesitation.

This door was in appalling condition and it had been for a long time the runners we worn out and by the end of our stay we could not move this door.If you had children you could not stay there because of the danger to stop any children going onto the lanai without supervision also anyone who is not strong would not have been able to move the door.We spoke to management at the complex who were well aware of the problem we encountered.The owners had placed a blue sponge over the top mattress which was most uncomfortable and hot also the linen did not fit the bed properly we were paying customers and should have been treated accordingly. There were not enough wine glasses or flutes always appears to be one missing.The bathroom was wonderful. The grounds were beautifully maintained.

The property is well taken care of and the owners are well loved in their community as several folks stopped to help us with the grill or offer comments on this great condo. We did see much of the island and had lots of adventures, but it was always nice to know we had this great place to come back to. Breakfast and dinner on the patio to the sound of the waves and lots of puzzles from the shared library downstairs made this even more special. My daughter and I highly recommend this condo! Reviewer Comments: the unit in itself was nice but there was no water in the 1/2 bath sink .the volume on the TV was locked and hard to hear for us at the set volume. the facility on the other hand ..we rented a 2nd floor unit because there is a elevator. however there are stairs in the corridor every 2 units .. 4 steps 1 set had no handrail. we are not handicapped but we do have a disability that stairs are a issue. there is no statements on this site that these stairs are present . and posed some issues for us . Also parking is a real issue we were never in 10 days able to park any closer than 1 block from the unit outside the secure fence of the facility. Again a issue because of our disabillity . when we arrived the person sent to show us around did not stay any longer than to open the door . did not show us around the unit at all and seemed to be in a hurry to be somewhere else. very unprofessional Oceanview is blocked by trees.
