**Notice regarding renovations on building exterior walls**
From 9/03/2024, to 12/02/ 2024, there may be noise due to renovations being completed on the exterior walls of the building. Due to this project, the pool will be closed from 10/14/2024 to 11/15/2024 and 1/20/2025 to 2/21/2025. These dates may change due to unexpected weather conditions.

This one-bedroom has a panoramic view of the ocean, mountain, and city from the spacious lanai. The unit is equipped with a full-size kitchen and has a comfortable living area. Pacific Monarch is located in a convenient location: 2-minute walk to the beach and grocery store. The bus stops right in front of the building.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The view and room size was great. But as I mentioned in an email earlier this condo did was not up to the quality of rentals we have stayed in before from Aska. Just to review our concernsLimited closet space and drawer space for a long term rentalDrapes as you mentioned still on backorderAdditionallycan opener that hardly workedmissing remote control for AC unit ( a replacement would not cost more than $25.00)kitchen sink faucet that had way too much pressure probably from a flow restrictor. Closets are almost non-existent.- The pull out sofa in the living room is not suitable for adults. Firstly, the lying surface is only 1.70 m long, secondly, the mattress is so worn that the springs poke through everywhere.- Smaller technical deficiencies: sluggish windows / shower drain very slow. - Only two key cards for four people a bit impractical.Conclusion: for a couple or a young family with a child who want "high life" in a central location, this is the perfect apartment.Translated with (free version)

Great location and view! (THAT’S IT) Prepare to be uncomfortable: The window unit AC isn’t large enough for the condo. To keep the condo at a decent temperature all curtains and drapes must remain closed. Only (3) sets of bath towels were allocated to our party of three. I asked manager for extra towels and offered to pay for them. The response was “Unfortunately not, one per guest and you can use the coin laundry room to wash our towels.” We didn’t plan on doing laundry a few times in a 9 night stay. After leaving the beach, hiking, and other excursions you want to come into an air conditioned condo and take a shower with clean towels.

This property had a great view. It was clean and close to everything! Great location. It was tiny, the toilet and sink leaked and the AC did not work very well. It is pretty noisy at night as well.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everyone rates differently, so please read. This is hands down a beautiful property with unbelievable views. We enjoyed the sunrises over Diamond Head with coffee on the large balcony and the sunsets over the ocean from the living room. We utilized the rooftop pool and grills on occasion too. The kitchen was adequately equipped and small appliances were new. The elevators can be very busy at peak times, but that is to be expected. So this property is definitely 5 star. The downside is that there were very few amenities that make living there easier. There were no coffee filters and no salt, pepper or single spice in the place. So to do any cooking, you need to go shopping and buy supplies before anything. We were asked to empty garbage daily so make sure to buy garbage bags too since there wasn’t any extra supplied. We have stayed in many rental homes throughout the country and almost all have had rudimentary supplies for your stay. Some owners provide welcome gifts to their guests. Don’t expect that here, but do expect fantastic views and access to Waikiki and Honolulu.

Also the folks at Aska were lovely, but please note that I think this is a very small organization so you might not get fast service - but when they are available, it is stellar. The only room downside was the mattresses were very hard and uncomfortable. Also this is not Aska's fault, but its on the 23rd floor and during a pandemic where you don't want to be in an elevator with strangers, it was challenging sometimes. Most folks did not have the courtesy to wait their turn and would ignore the Pacific Monarch's posted request to limit elevators to 2 people (although it also wasn't posted very well.) Being on the 23rd floor, the option to just take the stairs is a little limited. But being on the 23rd floor also means breathtaking views. Sitting on the lanai drinking tea in the morning and just taking it in. We had a great experience here!

As soon as you enter the place you are amazed by the breathtaking view of Waikiki. The location is perfect, the beach, the restaurants, and chairs, umbrellas and surfboards rentals. The place was clean and had well furnished. Beds were confortable but my son complained a little about the sofa bed. If you plan to cook like I did, you will miss somethings like a cutting board. I was expecting to find coffee filters/coffee/sugar like in other places I rented. Also no salt and pepper. Perhaps I was just used to find those in the past but a run to ABC store solved the missing things (not the cutting board problem). The remote control batteries were dead but we manage using the buttons on the cable device. But who cares about those details when you are a couple of blocks to the beach, the weather is perfect and you have that perfect view from the lanai? I definitely recommend this place.
